Had a great time last night, came for a few drinks in the bar and decided to stay for food. The waiter was great, Dan really looked after us. Food was delicious and service seemed quick! Would go back for the Venison alone!

We had a lovely meal at RBG Liverpool last night. It was a bit of an impromptu meal out, and the restaurant was fairly quiet with it being relatively early on a super sunny Wednesday, but we really enjoyed the ambience nevertheless. We were looked after by Kostas, who was absolutely excellent - just the right level of attentiveness, topping up our drinks whenever needed and making sure we had everything we wanted. The food was delicious. We shared the raw seafood selection to start, and then ordered some more bits and pieces afterwards (steak tartare, hummus, tuna tartare and the broccoli side). It was all exceptionally delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

Vino como un grupo de 6 personas el sábado por la noche a las 7 pm. Se sentó y esperaba con ansias el menú como ya miraba en línea de antemano. Mientras nos sentábamos estaban fuera de 5 cosas en el menú, incluyendo langosta y cóctel de gambas en un sábado por la noche a primera hora. Así que quería las gambas para la comida principal. Mientras dábamos nuestra orden de camarera, ella dijo que también estaban sin gambas. Así que me tomé un filete que era caro £ 46. Pregunté medio raro, pero todavía venía crudo en el medio y la grasa no se reducía, era grasa cruda. Muy chic y horrible. Mi compañero tenía el cerdo que era demasiado caro, también venía demasiado cocido y quemado en los bordes. Preguntó al camarero cuando pidió si sería ligeramente rosa y ella confirmó que lo sería. Fue extremadamente decepcionante. Se quejó y le compraron una cerveza gratis en la casa mientras él tiene que esperar 15 minutos para que salga la segunda. Bill vino y habían puesto dos platos de cerdo en el billete y servido cargo de casi 50 libras. Tuvimos que pedirle al gerente que al menos se quitara el segundo plato de cerdo. Realmente decepcionante y no puede llamarse a sí mismo un restaurante de mariscos y filetes si toda la parte de mariscos del menú no está disponible. ¡No volverás y ahorrarás tu dinero!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting The Restaurant Bar & Grill over the years, and it consistently impresses. The venue remains classy and sophisticated, offering a varied menu that caters to diverse tastes. The staff are always excellent, providing attentive and professional service. A standout feature is the private dining room, which is perfect for both parties and business meetings. Its intimate setting and amenities make it an ideal choice for special occasions.

Just experienced the new menu and Wow! The mix starter was a feast for two and could easily be shared with three or maybe four in a pinch. I had the filet which was cooked to perfection with the bone marrow topped which gave it such a rich creamy taste that rolled round the pallet. My wife had the lobster with a side of the smashed cucumber, the lobster was fresh, meaty and juicy and the cucumber smash really add refreshing flavours and crunch. 10/10

Absolutely wonderful restaurant had a fantastic Sunday roast slightly costly but worth it staff are amazing especially Nic who looked after us, definitely eat here again

Since the renovation (mystifying similar to the original) this restaurant has gone up several notches. Wide-ranging menu, with sharing meats a speciality. Generous portions and unhurried but truly friendly service, a special mention for Nic, who has served us often with great style and humour. This should be on all diners' go to list. Lunchtime is an elegant experience.

I visited the restaurant due to a positive Google review, however, I regretted my decision. The lemon sole I ordered appeared to be reheated leftover fish. I would rate it zero stars if I could.

Amazing food in a lovely atmosphere, you feel well looked after by staff, in particular Nic, who was really warm, welcoming and friendly. Food is absolutely gorgeous but a bit pricy for what it is. The atmosphere and the service makes it worth it if you are looking for a especial occasion.

Haven’t been her for a while but standard of the food (mains) have dropped steak quality have changed fillets were thin and flat peppercorn sauce like water and no flavor an the triple cooked chips were basically oven chips fried a few times id just been daffodil on the Albert dock last Sunday an food quality is miles better wont be coming back for a while if at all

Have been visiting B&G for years now and have spent a lot there in recent months (see images). I booked a meal via the app recently for a midweek meal to take advantage of their January offer (25% off). The meal was great as it always and I paid and left. It wasn't until I was sorting through bills that I noticed the 25% off hadn't been applied to our bill (and points hadn't been applied). I raised this with the restaurant who responded to tell me that the discount was taken off the bill and I received a free drink on the day too. Both of which are incorrect. I responded with a copy of the receipt from the meal showing that they must have been mistaken and ive not heard anything back, despite following up. I'm disappointed as I think it's an easy thing to resolve and given the fact RBG have some strong competition in Hawksmoor, Gaucho and Ivy, I'd have expected more of an effort to keep customers happy in order to keep them coming back.

Ive been to B&G many times but the food has been elevated to a new level. The Miso Cod and Tuna Tartar were stunning! Service was professional and sleek. Great atmosphere as usual.

Both had the roast dinner! Was lovely, big portion. All the staff are super friendly especially Kostas who serves us, was very polite and attentive! :)

Fantastic blue rump steak. Wine pairing suggestions were very good. Sides also excellent. Service friendly, prompt and non intrusive. Atmosphere, the room is a bit of a barn but well decorated.

Came here after a visiting a few disappointing bars on Castle Street. We had a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and I must say the service was outstanding. Thanks for a great night!!

Hosted my 50th Birthday Party with a table for 24 just 5 days before Xmas. Service and food could not be faulted especially in view of the time of year. Bar was very buzzy and full of Xmas parties but staff did not miss a beat. My vegetarian friend rated the Celeriac as one of the best dishes he has had in a long time time.

Had such a lovely date night here on the weekend! We were looked after by Kevin, who was amazing! Nick also was lovely & treated us to some complimentary prosecco!

The restaurant and bar area is such an opulent and luxurious place to have lunch, with the crystal chandelier and marble columns adding to the grandeur of the place. We had the Christmas lunch, the starters were delicious and so flavourful; the mains and desserts a delight. I highly recommend going for food or drinks, and Nic, our waiter was great. Liverpool at its finest.

Today reminded me of when we tried to get a late dinner just before Christmas. It started out rubbish but then went to fabulous. After leaving the Municipal Hotel bar we went to the Restaurant Bar & Grill and we were really pleased we did. It was super busy however there was a table available. It was a mess, covered in empty glasses but as soon as we sat down the staff cleared and cleaned it. They were fab. The atmosphere in the bar was buzzing but not too loud, the room was also gorgeous (another former bank building, all marble columns and gilt) and the staff completely on point. Our waiter, Stavros, was super helpful and we enjoyed a bottle of champagne followed by a cocktail before going back home, all cheerful. This felt like a treat unlike the last bar that felt like a chore.

The Food was great and the waiting staff were really attentive but I cant give the the stars they deserve due to the following. We had contacted the prior to going to the hotel to see if they had wheelchair access as my wife had broken her leg and was in a wheelchair. We were told yes they did. Upon arrival staff simply passed a rickety ramp to one of our relatives who had to figure out how to set it up. They're 4 steps to get in so the ramp was really steep. We managed to use it but it was really sketchy and made my wife really uncomfortable. After we entered using this deathtrap we were told there was in fact another entrance we could use when we leave. It was practically leading out on to ground level. Staff should never let us use the main entrance when there was a suitable entrance at the back. My only thinking is it was because the corridor was full of boxes etc but it was eye opening to see how awful the experience would be for wheelchair users.

Very busy on Christmas Eve but we were well looked after by our waiter Dan. At just under £7 a pint beer was expensive by Liverpool standards, the food was ok but again at these prices they need to lift their game..

My favourite go to when I’m home in Liverpool, this visit was sadly a little bit different, the service was SHOCKING!!! I asked for a rose champagne, to be served a warm Prosecco ! Our server admitted it was Prosecco and huffed and puffed but swapped it ! We waited a further 15 minutes for the drink, to be served a FLAT rose champagne !!! Shame really - it put a dampener on our night, the food was fine, served as ordered although the main course for me - the turkey was a bit cold, I didn’t want to complain again, it felt awkward after the drink scenario - let’s face it… it’s not cheap so why make the customer feel awkward ???? We visit often & have done for years and years and I love it here, it’s our go too, but if I don’t go again it wouldn’t bother me after this visit. - our server was Inexperienced or not trained properly Obviously on commission of some sort Didn’t care & Rushed So much so. We won’t be rushing back anytime soon

We went for our company Christmas party on a Saturday night. Considering how busy it was the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. The waiting staff were brilliant and very well organised. I would definitely go again.

A very disapointing visit indeed. There was a table of four of is we all ordered fillet steak but the texture was that of rump. I let the service man know and he swapped them over and they where allot better. He mentioned that he had the problem for the last day or two. The big question why would you keep on serving below par products to your customers. None of us will return that's for sure.

If you have not visited here, your missing out, when you walk in and see the glass domed entrance of the former banking hall, and central bar , is pretty impressive, lovly place for food or a drink, great staff, very impressive.

Dined here earlier in the week for our daughter's 21st birthday and it was a great success. Not least due to the fantastic service from our waiter, Nick. The food was tasty and plentiful. We had the Asian Platter to start - the batter on the prawns was lovely and light and the salt & pepper ribs were delicious. We all plumped for steaks - these were delicious, cooked as requested and were not in the slightest bit tough. We'd brought a cake for our daughter's birthday and the staff brought it out lit up, singing "Happy BIrthday" - after a slice we repaid the excellent service by sending the cake back into the kitchen for the staff to finish off - judging by the sounds of delight from the staff, I think that this was a good idea!! Thanks for a great night - we'll be back very soon for our wedding anniversary meal!

So Disappointing. We booked here because we wanted to celebrate our daughter’s 21st in a special restaurant. Liverpool has so many quality restaurants, this one is overpriced and the standard of the food does not warrant the prices charged. Mains were brought out right after starters were finished, (it was a Thursday and the restaurant wasn’t busy) Medium rare steaks weren’t rested enough and left blood on our plates. My father in law left some of his sirloin because it was too tough. Chips were overcooked and greasy/fatty. Our waiter failed to mention the steaks come with tomato and mushroom so we spent extra on ordering sides. Asian platter, coated in thick batter, even the ribs, neither enjoyable nor VFM at £36 for 2 people. Wine list was too expensive, minimum bottle of wine was around £35, little to choose from around this price. Even the free birthday dessert wasn’t nice, and we couldn’t decipher what it was. Not been here for 4/5 years, it has gone downhill. My father in law’s chair was knocked every time a waiter went past as he was positioned too close to the table behind. Bill £320 for 2 courses for 4. (Didn’t pay 10% service) If you want a decent steak, cooked correctly, go to Hawksmoor.

Come here fairly regularly and it was lovely as always. One of the best steaks I've had in a long time and the service was excellent.

My first and last time there last night, food was awful and drinks Massively overpriced. Ordered the chicken skewers starter and they were bone dry and burnt. I ordered the fillet steak medium rare, it was well done at one end and raw at the other. Honestly there are far better restaurants around that area at a more reasonable price.

The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing.

We've been here probably hundreds of times, but won't be going back. First of all, our main waiter was very good, and tried his best. We would give him 5 stars for being kind and friendly. That's about the end of the good news. We chose to come here, for a family birthday meal, and: - The food was badly cooked. With special concerns about the meat. The burger and the venison has made at least two of us ill, and I've not yet spoken to everybody else since the meal. - The fillet steak was provided blue, when it was asked for as medium. Not a slight variation, which would usually be fine, but vastly wrong. Tough, uncooked, glistening cold in the centre. Blue steak. Nothing like medium. A replacement fillet steak took far too long. - Venison dry and overcooked. Asked for rare and the order was taken this way yet 'corrected' by a member of the waiting staff when it was brought over and told that it's been cooked 'pink'. Dry, cold, and hard. Couldn't finish it. - Several of the meals appeared to be either 'flame finished' or simply burnt. Comes across as style over substance, or attempting to cover for poor cooking. - Some of the staff were rude and inappropriate. I was 'shushed' by one who when I started talking to him, interrupted and spoke over me. Others threw items down onto the table without a word. No apology was given despite this being raised immediately after with another member of staff. - Addition of rude 'bouncer'. This is a new thing and not particularly well implemented. One of our party was aggressively challenged upon entry in an rude way by this member of staff. A sulking guy who ignored the door and was just looking at his phone, in a dark tracksuit(?), only looking up to snap at customers making their way in, if they had reservations, isn't a great welcome. - Loud dance music is great and a lot of us enjoy it. It's just a little bizarre to have it quite this loud and intense while you're trying to eat. The RBG can't be everything to everybody, at the same time. If they want to be a club, they should drop the food and just become a club. There was nothing wrong with the music, it was just far too loud. - The toilets were an absolute disgrace. Messy, dirty, water completely covering the floor, and full of people taking drugs. This used to be regarded as one of Liverpool's best restaurants but the fall from grace is remarkable. Like I said, we're not going back, which is such a shame after so many years, great memories of important family events, and the food used to be absolutely cooked to perfection.

I used to love this place, and their now-failed branch in Manchester. But the food on our recent visit had dropped off in quality to an alarming extent. I can't say it was bad.......it was simply...OK. And for the prices you pay, you have every right to expect more than just ok food. A steak that cost me almost £50 came out.....insipid....cooked in a frying pan rather than over charcoal, and with very little flavour or character. At £25 I wouldn't complain too much, but they are charging for a premium product and delivering something a local cafe would serve. Other dishes were also decent...but again...nothing special. It's sad to see this decline......this used to be our go-to place when we visited Liverpool

Fabulous place, had lots of questions prior to my event but they were all answered quickly. The private dining room is beautiful and the service and food were both excellent. Would highly recommend the private dining for a special occasion.

A really wonderful birthday meal, enjoyed by the whole family, with excellent food, lovely surroundings and friendly, attentive and efficient staff. Bread and oil followed by the Asian platter for my son and I, prawns for my wife, all lovely! Steaks for the three of us which were excellent, cooked to perfection and came with great chips. A couple of sweets ( our son declined one as he was full, and that's from a 17 year old, unheard of!! ) with coffees rounded off what was a lovely evening. Thank you everyone there and I (we) would thoroughly recommend anyone visit.

Positives first as always, staff were great, waiters were very attentive and super quick with service, some of the best around. Negatives - the raw platter was very lackluster in terms of size and contnet for £36. A small ramekin of salmon mixed with onions/carrots was completely off by at least a day or two, smell was awful. We didn't complain, the overall platter was pretty poor for that price to moan about one small item. Croquettes super salty as standard. Miso cod and venison mains were nice albeit small and again, very salty. Wouldn't necessarily go back for the food after paying that for an expensive starter/sharer to have an off item and the super salty food, but the rest was good, especially the oysters. Wine was great, cocktails even better. £7.75 for a Beavertown is a bit steep, though.

The food was good and I would highly recommend this place. The best desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant.

We had a bottomless brunch, and it was fantastic 😋 the food was delicious, and the Prosecco flowed. The waiters were attentive and lovely. The Restaurant Bar and Grill is a beautiful building inside and out. The decor is magnificent. We had a great time, and I've no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. It was fantastic.

Probably the best service I've had in the last 5/6 years. My glass was also never empty with Nic around. He was always around when we needed him, kept the drinks topped up and gave excellent recommendations! Food was delicious also. Really good experience.

Found this place by chance, what a find! Really nice building and interior, Friday night had a DJ playing creating a nice vibe, food was top drawer, I would definitely recommend the venison fillet., drinks were of good variety and quality, the service was impeccable especially Dan our waiter who was extremely attentive, efficient and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back hopefully soon, many thanks, Mark Lewis.

It was an experience. Overall, the food was of a quality that you'd expect of the price. That being said, the service was unfortunately slow, hence why it is only 3 stars. When the staff were at the table, they where very helpful and informative but it was very slow. Now, I'll move on to the best bit; the atmosphere. The whole place had a 70/30 split. 30% seemed like a relatively nice bunch, using manners and normal civilised pleasantries. The other 70% seemed like they would either use barging into you as an excuse to start a fight or straight out stab you. The amount of duck-faced unpleasant people that would prefer to push you down the stairs than move their unpleasant beaks over to one side was unbelievable. In all honesty, I'll probably not go again and it really does give credence to the YouTube videos. I really hoped that going there would change my mind but unfortunately, it did not.

What an amazing restaurant we were only in Liverpool for 2 nights I wish we could have stayed longer just so we could go back again. The choice on the menu was wonderful and the dishes out shone the descriptions every month full was exquisite. In fact we've book another stay in Liverpool just to return to this restaurant and we can't wait. We are such foodies I am so happy we stumbled upon such a hidden gem in the centre of Liverpool.

I came here with a friend at lunchtime. We sat outside in the sun and had a lovely 3 course meal from the lunch menu. We both had chicken skewers to start, steak frites for main and ice cream for pudding. All of it was superb. The steak frites were tender and tasty. I've been elsewhere and they have been as tough as old boots. Service good. Fab day out.
