Restaurant 1838 in Chiltern

A menu came through our door so we decided to give it a try having seen good reviews on here. The food was very disappointing. A watery daal, the chicken tikka massala also came in a thin and unappealing sauce, no mango chutney was provided for the poppadoms. The tandoori mixed grill was average at best. Good to try something different but unfortunately the food was poor and we won't be coming back.

Cannot fault the food, quality, nor flavour of the dishes I've ordered. Rarely find Chinese that actually has nice 'curry' and not a tasteless gravy. Enjoy the satay chow mein too, very nice. Overall, a place that I can give my business.

Absolutely disgusting. Tasteless slop. Meat was all mush, no bite and certainly no flavour. Horrific. Sauce-based dishes all tasted the same. Speedy delivery and nice delivery guy.

Hi I have ordered pizza home delivery yesterday today morning we all family member having food poisoning. All family members having stomachaches and loose motion .. it was my first order but I will never order again . I am sure they have issue preparing pizza

great working class no nonsense pub (with pool tables and super cheap beer), go there before it gets refurbished (ie gentrified)
