Been here a few times & quality varies from very good to awful. Last visit the fish tasted ‘old’. Pre ordered but don’t know why I bothered as no organisation for orders & stood in line with everyone else so maybe that’s why fish was not good as got my order 10minutes after I should & only then because I pushed my way forward. Only one person serving, fryers standing around. Would rather go further afield to get consistent quality & better service.

Fuimos a Rembrandt a almorzar con un amigo, parece que ha ido cuesta abajo desde nuestra última visita. El pescado era caro y lleno de huesos. Parecía viejo y marrón por dentro y no pude terminarlo. Todo se sirve en pequeños platos, así que menos chips. Las papas fritas no eran muy sabrosas y estaban secas. El servicio era bueno, la camarera amable pero estaremos evitando este lugar después del almuerzo horrible.

We must be missing something as this restaurant is busy and it seems to get lots of repeat custom. Personally they serve fish and chips, which are ok, but nothing special, average. It's more expensive than say a normal takeaway elsewhere, which is probably what we will do in future.

Visited last week, had fish n chips which were "ok". Found a hair on the plate. Pointed it out to the waitress who apologised. Eventually she came back saying no idea how it got there but that was it. No deduction made to the bill. In fact the bill was really expensive for simple fish n chips. Although they claim to be good for vegetarians as they fry in vegetable oil, however EVERYTHING (meat, fish and veggie options) are fried together using the same utensils. Arguably this is NOT vegetarian friendly as there is cross contamination.

Don't know what the food is like as the lady there was so unfriendly and unwelcoming that we didn't stay to find out. On entering she barked at us that the restaurant part was closed before we had even asked and then wouldn't let us use the toilet. Very cold towards us so we voted with our feet.

Oh My Goodness - what a find this was, tucked away in a quiet village, obviously well known to locals as it was busy, what excellent fish and chips and such a choice, everything we ordered was superb, good value for money and the nicest, friendliest staff imaginable, how I wished we lived nearer. Visited last Tuesday with a group of friends .The air conditioning was very welcome as it was another warm day .Our waitress was very friendly and helped us choose from the extensive menu ...some of us have small appetites so she suggested half portions of chips ...the fish was cooked perfectly ..some of us tried the unusual pea fritters .. For desserts we chose the panna cotta with Cointreau ..Wow it was superb .Afraid we stayed for a long time chatting after normal closing time ,sorry .Thankyou .

Best fish and chips for miles. Decided to sit in the main restaurant for a change and make an evening of it. Air conditioning on an extremely hot day was a definite bonus. The service was excellent from start to finish, friendly and efficient and the food was stunning..... the skate has to be seen to be believed and was so perfectly cooked as were the other dishes. Specialty pies are also available along with homemade pizzas and a good selection of desserts. Fully licensed bar with good selection of drinks available. Definitely recommend sitting in instead of taking away (which is also available) . Looking forward to returning soon.

Rembrandt's had been recommended to us and the takeaway and restaurant were very busy and the reason I put why, is that sadly we did not find it that good. Yes its air conditioned, the staff are very good, the drink selection is good but the food is average and no better than elsewhere. It also costs more, not that is a problem if the food is worth it. We seem to have missed the point and the good thing from their point of view we won't be going back.

This was our first visit and first impressions were really good with a nice pleasant environment together with good air conditioning which was a real bonus in this hot weather period. Service was first class but the meal was OK but only average for any fish and chip shop.There was no provision to split the bill for us i.e. 3 couples.

Our first visit was on Thursday 29th June. Why not before I cannot imagine. We went on holiday for 2 weeks and returned to the Rembrandt on Saturday 14th July. What can I say, the fish is unbelievable, the service friendly and efficient, cannot wait for an excuse to go back, cannot recommend enough.

The Rembrant specialises in fish but also has a varied menu of other foods. its a well organised restaurant where everything is cooked to order and the staff are very pleasant and keen to help you enjoy your experience. The bar is well stocked and has a variety of wines and beers to chose from at reasonable prices and there are delicious desserts to ponder over - if you have room to eat them.It is advisable to book as this is one very popular eaterie !

Having trawled the Norfolk coast for a fish and chips restaurant we liked the look of yesterday and found nothing, this was a dream come true. The fish (skate in my case) tasted as if it was straight out of the sea... well, via the fryer, of course! Hot, crispy, generous, quick... Why go to the sea when Rembrandt's bring the sea to your table?!

There are not many eat in fish and chip restaurants in our area. The Rembrandt was a great find. Very good menu, not just fish and chips but a delightful selection of desserts too. Unfortunately we struggled to get through the enormous portions of food, delicious as it was, there was no room for dessert, next time maybe. Child friendly .Also does gluten free batter.

Good value for money fish & chips, cheerful staff and always parking outside. Clean loos. Pop into Norwich on the bus with your OAP bus pass saves queuing for the car parks.

The chips were very greasy and not particularly nice. The fish was horrendous and very dry and my daughter’s portion wasn’t much better either. Most of my meal was wasted! Wouldn’t go back. I really don’t see what everyone raves about. Whilst the young girl that served us was polite the guy frying was soo miserable!!

Well busy, cool chip shop. Eat in restaurant or take away. Got it’s own little bar area and serves a wide range of tasty beverages. Staff super friendly even on the busiest of nights. Food is great quality and value (with loads to choose from) and a tasty pint too. Stop reading reviews and just go.

After having a really bad fish and chip takeaway recently we decided to give it another go, whilst there my husband mentioned how awful it was last visit and all he got was ‘I can’t do anything about it now’ .All we wanted was an apology, we weren’t looking for a free meal at all. Anyway, this time he bought the fish and chips home and OMG it was awful yet again. This will be our last visit to this takeaway, customer service appears to be a thing of the past.......

Went to the Rembrandt Fish & Chip Restaurant last night and had a fantastic meal.The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were very busy at the time we arrived, fortunately we had booked as we had heard good feedback about it.I had Cod and my Husband had Haddock which we chose from the wide selection of Fish that was available, we were very impressed with the high standard and the presentation. The Batter was light and crispy and the Fish was cooked to perfection, it came with Chips served in a separate bowl and tartar sauce (we had said no Peas). It was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful, the staff checked to make sure everything was ok and see if we wanted more drinks .After enjoying the Main Course and feeling full we could not resist the Apple, Blackberry and Raspberry Tart with Ice Cream. It was a home made tart and the pastry was light and tasty and it was full of the delicious fruit.We came away very full and very happy and will definitely be going back. The value for money is amazing for the quality provided, So thank you to all of the Staff at Rembrandt in the Kitchen and the Restaurant for making our evening so enjoyable.

We have eaten here many times over the years not least of which because The Rembrandt is the only Fish restaurant in the area that has Halibut on the menu. All the fish, especially the halibut is delicious and always cooked to perfection as are the scrumptious home cooked puddings made by the lovely Lucy one of the owners who always has a warm welcome for everyone. My only criticism is that the portion sizes of the halibut have been getting smaller and smaller since they started offering it.

So amazed with the quality of food and staff at the Rembrandt restaurant! Everyone is so friendly and talkative and take time to have a conversation with you even when they are rushed off their feet! A busy place, which reflects how amazing the food and the atmosphere is always so lovely! I had a large Skate in the oven with salad, and my partner had large skate goujons and chips with a side of whitebait! Skate is my absolute favourite fish, and being a struggling member of slimming world (haha) the Rembrandt is so friendly for slimming world members, and going out and having a meal always feels like you’re being naughty but it really is a treat! Our waitress was so happy to answer my endless list of questions regarding what kinda of thing was good for me to eat on slimming world and it helped so much that she herself is a member; poor girl surrounded by chips all the time (haha). My boyfriend, loved all of his food, especially the whitebait, he said the flavour was incredible and that their tartare sauce is the best he’s ever tasted! Although a slimming world member, I did pinch a chip or two and they were so yum! Definitely returning :).

Came in with some friends and was very impressed with the quality of food served. I’ve heard a lot about the Rembrandt resturant and had high expectations which were met! I had the classic large cod and chips which tasted just amazing and would highly recommend. My other 3 friends couldn’t find a fault with the food as well, so I am shock to see the negative reviews! The staff are very friendly and approachable, and they create a comfortable atmosphere within the restaurant.

The family and I have used this Chippy as a takeaway for the last 15 years or so. Well recommend it. Recently started using their public Bar too. Excellent fish & Chips in great batter with a Pint. Who could ask for more.

Visited the Rembrandt on Friday 13th to celebrate our recent engagement. Not a fish lover myself, I had a pizza and my other half had a burger. All food was delicious and well presented, staff friendly the restaurant itself bright, clean and most importantly warm!!!! We were made to feel very special on the celebration of our engagement. Would definitely visit again.

Always our go to fish and chip shop when in the area. However this time we were not very impressed. Very tiny chips, fish lacking in flavour and very greasy. Best part was the curry sauce. Hope food improves if we visit again.

Visited here yesterday with my partner, she had a large cod and couldn’t praise it enough. It looked delicious. We were both surprised by how big it was considering the price - excellent value for money!!! For myself I decided to order a double cheese after looking at the extensive menu. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest burgers I’ve had for a long while. Definitely underrated. I cannot praise it up enough. On top of the great food, the service and atmosphere was excellent, very friendly and inclusive. Cannot wait to visit again and tackle the mighty burger again!!

We bought cod and chips last week when we got home the cod was so Creasy that it stuck to the paper and when we tryed to remove it the batter came off with it as for the chips they were do under cooked they game out the paper all joined together

Been in Norfolk for the past week on business. Unfortunately (for me) I visited this place twice this week, Wednesday and Friday evening, been coming here for some time now but just can’t say no if I’m in the area. Been on a strict diet but just couldn’t resist! I also took some friends and a client who thought it was amazing! Great skate, only just fitted on the plate and the cod was beautiful! Always busy, staff are always happy! Love it, just love it!

Just returned from this awful fish and chip restaurant - didn't even want to give a one star rating as it really was THAT bad. Chips were dry and tasteless. Large cod - was it really cod? Difficult to tell as it was tasteless and a watery mush. I ate the tail end first thinking the best was yet to come, but no. No large chunks as cod should be - just a watery mush. Our waitress offered to change it for something else but I just wanted to get out of the place as fast as possible.I've just read previous comments and agree that environmental health should pay them a visitWould we return? NEVER.

We hadn’t been to Rembrandt’s for over a year, so decided as we were in the area and also after having a lovely meal last year, we would stop by and hopefully have a nice meal again. Ummmm, things have changed, definitely not a patch on last year. Whether there has been a change of ownership or something, I really wouldn’t know BUT something has changed and I am sorry to say, not for the better! Now don’t get me wrong the fish and chip s portions are good but it was very greasy and certainly not what we were expecting. Maybe they are going through a bad patch?? Who knows but if that is the case they need to sort it out or they will lose custom. Shame as it was very very good. Sorry.

We are on holiday. Heard about this place being good. So we travelled 4 miles to get a take away . One large cod, haddock and chips. Haddock ok but greasy. Cod raw uncooked see photos. It appears to have been cooked from frozen and was still raw. Too much batter which was brittle. We watched the chips come out of the fryer but these were cold. Terrible. I tried to phone but they seem to be avoiding all calls. This place seriously needs a visit from the environmental health.

We were travelling through to the broads and found this great chip shop restaurant the best fish ever excellent batter too loved eating it in our van in your car park Thankyou! Very glad we followed the sign on the roundabout off the A47! Good job guys n gals well done and Happy Christmas!

We called in on the way home after travelling all day. The waitress was very friendly, the meal of fish and chips was very tasty although I think the batter was a little undercooked. Would certainly go back.

We went with friends and had a warm welcome, there are snugs available so book and ask for a quiet table.Fish selection was amazing and my friend ordered a large skate; I had pie and the ladies opted for sea bass. You can also have beer or wine, which is a great thing if you’re in the mood for it.Mark’s skate was more like the whole rink; it covered the plate. My pie was good and enjoyed the gravy; maybe chip portion size was a bit spare so negotiable perhaps at point of order? If you are ravenous an extra side of potatoes may be your thing. Ladies said their fish was very good.Service was of a friendly high standard and I would recommend this for a slightly more upmarket fish n chips experience.

3 of us visited and had a great evening meal in the restaurant. Good sized portions and a really friendly helpful waitress who answered our questions about the fish and how it would be served. Would definately recommend it to others and will be returning in the near future.

Although the restaurant was really busy we were seated quickly by very friendly staff ..a high chair was found for our very lively two year old .Everyone chose from the very extensive menu and our drinks were soon brought to our table .The food was served fresh from the fryer and was first class ( perhaps the skate gougons would have been better if cooked slightly longer ) .All round it was a very pleasant meal enjoyed by everyone .

Been coming here since, well let's say the best part of 20 years. When back in Norfolk we always stop for a meal including the kids. Had a fantastic meal the other night and as always the food is fresh and the staff a bundle of fun and very good at what they do even when the restaurant is packed out. Didn't notice any flies but maybe that was the week when there just seemed to be an influx of flies across the whole country. Everywhere where I went there were flies and as for worms.....well I guess fresh cod does have the occasional sea lice attached to them. I suppose that's got something to do with Mother Nature and you just have to put it to me side and get on with it. In 20 years I've never had a bad bit of fish nor has any member of my family and all of the guests that I've taken there.

We are back time and time again to this fantastic restaurant. The food and service was great and we can't wait to come back.

Nice hotel with quiet chilled vibe set against the bustle of central Bangkok. Well appointed and tastefully decorated rooms which are well maintained and regularly cleaned. The views from the higher floors of downtown Bangkok are amazing. The relaxing bird song piped through the hotels corridors is a nice touch and adds to the relaxed ambience. Moving around is a bit inconvenient as it is located at the heart of busiest road in Bangkok, Sukhumvit, with terrible traffic especially at peak hours, but luckily the skyrail is just a 5 min walk away and stops at all the key places for shopping and nightlife. Great restaurants abound within walking distance too so never short of a place to dine regardless of taste or dietary requirements. Only downside, price of the drinks at the bar. Seriously expensive, even when compared to the nicer local bars. Happy hour alleviates this slightly but it's still worth the walk down the street.

Picked up takeaway cod and chips (26 Feb) for evening meal.We have eaten there a number of time and usually the food is pretty good.Unfortunately, the fish was very poor. My wife's cod smelt rather fishy which probably meant it was old fish. My fish was very rubbery and was grey rather than white. If we had been eating in I would have sent both dishes back.The chips were okay but a little greasy.

I haven't been to this fish restaurant for 3-4 years and sadly the standard had declined. The restaurant was very cold as there was no heating on and although there was only one other table occupied, they got out order wrong. There brought 2 meals to our table & said they had forgot to cook the 3rd meal and there would be a delay before it was ready. This totally spoilt out lunch as one person had to watch the other 2 eat their meal & then the roles were reversed.

I go here every week, and week after week the food is awesome and the standard is always maintained. I have never had bad food here. The staff are always polite and frendly, I highly recommend going here.

Easily the best skate and chips (with mushy peas and curry sauce of course!) I have ever had! Lucy and her crew were so friendly and welcoming - I just wish it was 10 mins away rather than 30 mins - but still very much worth the trip - aimply amazing food!

With fresh fish being delivered from grimsby, the fish and prawns are to be highly recommended.The staff are friendly and helpful without the annoying "is everything al right" nothing is to much trouble.
