We like Prestwich for food and drink and this was my 1st visit to Remal. The food was delicious, loved the "chips" and their homemade Pide bread. They are not licenced but you can bring your own booze if you wish. Prestwich is a great place for a low key evening out.

Delicious food, delivered hot with Deliveroo, authentic and packed with flavours. Highly recommend the hummus which is served with homemade bread.

We arrived without a booking as we didn't know we had to book, the staff were really nice and even though it was busy, they still managed to get us a table. Once the food arrived, it was absolutely amazing. We had an Arab in our group who even said this is pure authentic Lebanese food. Was reasonably priced too. Will definitely be attending again but this time with a reservation lol.

A little gem of a place. Wonderful food and very large portions. The staff where attentive and freindly. Corkage charge on alcohol which is an added bonus!! Highly recommended.

Been here many times and it’s always fantastic, the food is amazing, the portions are sizeable and the value is second to none. This latest time i had the mix chicken, spinach and cheese pastry, hummus and chips - all incredible!

Amazing food and unreal value for money!

4 of us went for birthday celebrations. First time Lebanese for me. Absolutely delicious food, and generous portions. Couldn't fault it.

The food here is really nice, and most of the staff are nice but one bad staff with an attitude spoils it. This member of staff doesn't serve us at all until he brings the bill for us to pay, hovers over us to see us select 'no tip' on the card and then sarcastically says 'How very kind..'. Firstly, we did not bring our own alcohol and instead paid £2.50 per 330ml of coca cola. Secondly, this is the UK, it is not and will never be a tipping country unless there is something really special you did. Doing your job, bringing food from the kitchen to the table does not require a tip, and if you're getting paid less than minimum wage take it up with your boss, not me.

This was our first visit but won’t be our last. Both food and service was spot on. A little noisy but they cannot do anything about that. Probably one of the only restaurants that doesn’t charge corkage. Absolutely loved it.

I can only review based on delivery, maybe if a table had been available it would have been different. It was tasty enough. The flavours were nice and the bread was fresh, however the lamb in the mixed kebab was tough, the muklubieh was mainly rice, lacking in peppers, potatoes, veg and meat, however the biggest disappointment for me was the baba ganoush, a watery, lumpy and vinegary slop, actually unpleasant in taste and texture, I was so looking forward to that as well! I will give this place the benefit of the doubt and book a table in advance next time. They have really good reviews, these days every customer is a food critic so they can’t allow their standards to slip, not now, when they are doing so well.

First time there. A bit noisy downstairs but delightful upstairs. The tastiest falafel I have ever had. A table of 5 and we were all happy.

Loved this restaurant. I have ordered food to be delivered before but never been to the restaurant until now. I recommend booking a table as it was busy, even at 6.30pm on a Monday evening. It's a BYOB and there is no corkage charge. There are dishes on the menu, as well as old favourites that you would likely see in any Middle Eastern/Turkish or Greek restaurant. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed. We opted for 3 different starters, mains, 2 desserts and Arabia coffee. The whole lot came to £57 without tip. Waiters were happy to give suggestions on tips. We both had lamb and it was probably the best lamb I've had in a restaurant in a very long time. It just fell apart. The atmosphere was great as was the background music. All in all Remal is one of the best restaurants, of which there are a lot, in Prestwich. I will definitely be back.

Great food, chef's mix and grilled salmon are excellent. BYOB with no corkage so an ideal night out with friends. Convenience store to the right coming out of restaurant or off licence further down in same direction if you need to buy drinks (seen some reviews saying they didn't know no alcohol was served so thought this would be useful?)

Very nice food, lovely atmosphere, very nice setting and decor. Made you feel like you could be in the Middle East somewhere. Only disappointing thing was that the staff were a bit slow and could have been a little more interactive. Took us a while to place an order but apart from that lovely evening! And you can take your own alcohol if you like with no charge!

We have been to Remal before and it never disappoints! The staff are friendly and service is unhurried so you can relax and enjoy your evening. The food is fresh and delicious and served in gigantic portions, but staff are happy to supply take away boxes for leftovers, which is brilliant! We shared hummus to start, which arrives with plenty of beautiful fluffy pitta bread, then we had a selection of grilled meats/kebabs (the chicken is sooo good) with rice and Arabic salad. You can byob so it’s fantastic value for money. *Another review mentioned finding parking tricky, so it’s worth mentioning that there’s a huge free car park at the Longfield shopping centre on the other side of the road, about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant! ❤️

I've been to this place 4 times now & it's become a firm favourite. The food is always delicious, no matter what we have ordered. The staff are very friendly & efficient. Everyone I have brought here has been as impressed as I have. A local GEM!

The food was Amazing, tasty, beautifully served and reasonably priced. Customer service could be better. Nobody was rude or inefficient but I always had to ask rather than be asked. We waited for 10 minutes and were ignored and in the end we had to ask for a menu. Throughout no waiter came over to see if we wanted anything and we always had to try and catch the waiter’s eye if we wanted anything. It was even the case when we wanted to pay; had to ask twice before anyone came. And no-one asked about alleegies! The restaurant is very popular because the food is great but that’s no excuse for mediocre service.

When ordering 2-3 meals I expect more than 3 breads. At least I was only missing bread. Tonight I was missing a meal and was told I would be refunded so 1 of my kids is eating a tenner tonight.

Food is fantastic but service is shocking. Ordered 3 chicken meals and only received 2. When I called to rectify this I was told I would be refunded for the missing meal. That’s fantastic I will tell 1 of my kids they are eating the refunded money ffs!

The restaurant is located on the main road in the centre of Prestwich, which makes for challenging parking. It is a very small building. The restaurant was very busy, which is a good sign. The tables are well spaced apart and, once inside, there is a nice ambiance. The staff were relatively attentive and we didn 't feel hurried. There was a very side menu of fmainly Lebanese dishes and these were served in large portions. You can take your own alcohol to this restaurant and the staff will serve it. The food was colourful and everything tasted fresh. I personally had Fried Camembert (I would have liked this to have had a redcurrent garnish or some such) and this was tasty. My main was Breaded Chicken, which came with fried potatoes and mushrooms. A very enjoyable evening was had

I booked this restaurant two months ago and was informed that it had two sittings, 6pm and 9pm. We were a table of 6 friends celebrating a birthday so we booked 6pm, thinking it would be quieter. We arrived on time and were taken upstairs to a table that turned out to be right next to a party of approximately 25 - 30 young people who were shouting from one end of the long table to the other. The noise was unbearable. We politely asked to move to another table as we could see others that were available, including 2 tables for 8 people each that were empty. The management refused our request, saying there were no alternatives available. My husband suffers from a neurological condition, and such loud intense noise made the meal extremely uncomfortable for him. A little while later, we asked again if we could move but were flatly refused. The food arrived and we ate it as quickly as possible, I have to say it was ok. Average at best. Unfortunately, the meal and evening were spoilt by the inflexibility of the management. They could easily have sectioned off the area occupied by the large party so other customers could eat in comfort. I wouldn't return to this restaurant as there are much better ones in very close proximity. Customer service should be their priority. It was sadly lacking tonight.

A Lebanese restaurant. The food is very delicious and the service is excellent. You must make reservations during the weekend to avoid waiting.. but we were treated with the utmost class and respect by the staff.

Once we got inside, we had that cosy Arabic feeling🥰 and as we tasted the the delicious food, we enjoyed every bite. Well seasoned and grilled with love. The portions were large and each kind in the mixed grill was amazingly put together. Bless you STAFF🙏 Dalal

Have been aware of Remal for several years but never been in. Took the decision one Saturday afternoon and wondered why we've waited so long. The food is simply amazing. Had the sojouk and Houmous for starters and spicy chicken and chefs spicy mix for mains, all equally tasty. The fact you can bring your own booze keeps the price down. Will definitely be coming again.

The food remains superb, as does the atmosphere and the BYOB policy. However, what let's it down nowadays is poor service (seems to be new staff every time I go) and now even a charge on extra bread?! £2.50 for an extra 4 pittas goes against what Remal stands for in my opinion.

I had high hopes for the place but I was left disappointed as were my three friends. First of all despite booking a few weeks in advance they claimed no booking was made, before we were told it was in another book. The service was just ok as the staff are not particularly attentive. On more than a couple of occasions we struggled to get their attention for drinks etc so didn't bother. The food was ok. The cold meze only came with three small flat bread despite it's size. There wasn't much flavour to it either. The meat was greasy and a couple of the dishes were luke warm. The vegetarian "moussaka" had zero flavour and was just an odd take on the dish. Falafel were stodgy and lacked flavour. Rice, Remel chips and the flat breads were good and the pricing of the food was competitive. Overall the food lacked flavour, wasn't particularly hot and in some cases greasy. I'm genuinely not sure what the hype is and when I want Lebanese food again I won't be heading there.

This is my fave restaurant in Greater Manchester. 😋 Generous portions ✔️ Loads of vegan & veggie options 🥗🍲🥘 Fresh perfectly cooked fish🎣 The best hummus I have found in the UK ⭐️ If you get a takeaway, the quality and portions of everything is just as good.👌🏼 My fave dish is the Sea bass 🐟 **Bonus- They don't have a bar licence so you can bring your own alcoholic drinks with no corkage charge. 🍾

Walked in with our family with no table booked. We were welcomed to a lovely table with great atmosphere. Ordered a mixed starter and a mixed main course to try a bit of everything and all the food was cooked to absolute perfection. Such a wonderful experience and incredibly reasonably priced. A must if you you are looking for a meal out in Prestwich!!

We are patrons of Remals but tonight was disappointing. I asked if I could have spinach with my seabass instead of chip or rice but the waitress said no. Some restaurants will do this for you if spinach is available in other dishes but not Remals - ok fair enough, I was willing to accept that. So then I said that I would just have the Sea bass. The waitress I couldn’t do that I had to have either rice or chips on my plate. I was beginning to feel I was at Fawlty Towers or in some Kafkaesque reality. What effort first it take to leave chips or rice off the plate. But I just accepted it. We then waited 2 whole hours for our meals to be served and even then they got the order for four people wrong. So two of us were into our meal before the other two meals arrived. However, I have to say the meals were good and I have never tasted such delicious sea bass. We said the meal was nice but complained about the waiting time to one waiter who was not really polite and said it was because they were short staff. Later , we could see our regular waiter had got wind of this and he came to us and apologised profusely, knocked 20% off the bill and gave us all free desserts. We will, of course, go to Remals again because the food is fantastic, the staff normally friendly and who give prompt service. We are just going to put this down as an off day.

Came for a birthday meal with my family, staff were lovely and welcoming, they were also accommodating when we needed to be seated downstairs. The food is lovely, VERY generous portions! Highly recomnend the tagine.
