Codi's Kitchen in Bury

I've eaten in once and had takeout once from Codi's. Both times the food has exceeded my expectations. Everything is fresh and full of flavour. The only constructive feedback I have is regarding the seats and tables. The seat felt a little small and the tables were difficult to navigate with the seats. But honestly that's nothing really considering how great the food is. I will definitely be going back. I've recommended it to all my friends.

I've not had a chance to eat in the restaurant yet but I order takeaway on a regular basis. The food here is OUTSTANDING - generous portion sizes, seasoned and cooked impeccably and it is just so damn tasty! My personal favourites are the bang bang cauliflower and shredded beef fries. Although I run a successful business I would consider a part time job here just to get the bang bang cauliflower recipe (it is that good)

Wow. What a fabulous meal that covered a group of people with an assortment of allergies. Never have been able to go to a restaurant and know that all their food was egg free and nut free. There was a great selection of gluten-free food too. The food was cooked to perfection, the taste, there aren’t sufficient words to describe how good it was. Would we go again? Absolutely. I have already recommended it to 2 people this morning and it’s only 10am.

It was my first time here and the food was sensational. Their hit bang bang cauliflower was tender and flavoursome and I could actually eat it (had many past experiences in other restaurants where the cauli has been too hard). The short ribs and kimchi fried rice were also very good! Highly reccomend

This is the first time I eat in the restaurant. I have ordered a takeaway twice more than two years ago. - 💁🏻‍♀️The staff were mostly helpful and attentive. - 🍗the Kara-age fried chicken, Asian slaw and seared beef roll - the beef was lovely, could be more tender some a little tough but over all delicious. - ❌We ordered half half filling of rolls but the dishes comes mixed up and we have to figure things out ourselves, they didn’t tell us this so at the end the order was mixed up and the Sunset rolls were no where to be seen. I asked (& showed the staff one roll that was left) if it was the sunset roll that supposed to have mango, prawn and tuna in it, it wasn’t as there were just seared salmon and cucumber and she *insisted* it was the correct one. - ⚡️They did give us 8 piece of seared beef roll on the house which is nice of them. - 🐟the quality of raw fish could be a bit better for the price it charged. - 🍚the chef could do a lot of improvement of the rice, they were awful. Super overcooked, it was beyond sticky, it was mushy and clumpy. Sushi rice is not supposed to be like this. - 🍗 there was barely any meat on the £8 chicken wings :( - ❌The tables were wobbly and rocky, more stability would be nice.

The food here is delicious and flavourful. There's quite a big menu with plenty of different things on here, and they are all Asian inspired dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection, the beef baos being one of the best things I've ever tasted. The korean chicken main I found a bit salty, but that's probably a personal taste opinion as I tend to have very low salt cooking at home. I would recommend you make a special detour here and try it out.

Booked a table for a family occasion on Sunday 26th January. Turned up and the restaurant was shut. No signs, no phone call, no email stating they were closed. Also had to pay £30 upfront to reserve a table - and still have not got this back!! Shocking customer service.

Gorgeous new spot on prestwich high street that will absolutely become a regular place for us. The shredded beef & beef shortrib were standout but everything was unreal. I’m sure time will only help you thrive and we will be back for sure

First time at the new Codi’s Kitchen on Bury New Road. There’s no doubt this is the best food in North Manchester. Every meal is an artwork that not only looks good it tastes even better. If this was served in a city centre posh restaurant and the costs were double it would be worthy. We took 4 friends on Saturday night who were first timers and they loved it. A great team to support her and the bar has been well and truly raised. Make sure you try the signature dish - Bang Bang Cauliflower, it’s epic. Can’t wait to go again.

Codi's has moved to Bury New Rd, opposite Aldi. It's on 3 levels, it's cosy and the food is still brilliant. We had a mixture of plates: Tuna Sashimi, aubergine, chicken wings, Korean Chicken, Beef Ribs and more. Each dish was very tasty and had a unique flavour too. Recommended. We've eaten Codi's from the beginning when it started as a takeaway during the pandemic. The flavours have been excellent from them until now.

Absolutely UNREAL food!! Staff are so lovely and welcoming, quick service and is never empty (as it shouldn’t be)! Prices are more than fair, and it’s worth every penny. Since the new location opened, me and my boyfriend have been 3 times in a row, that just says it all. ❤️❤️

Visited as a large group, lovely intimate restaurant. Service was great, really polite and friendly. Food was amazing! We ordered a lot of different dishes including gyoza, different sushi rolls, katsu, teriyaki and various boa buns - all fabulous ! In particular the sushi was delicious and brisket bao buns so soft and flavoursome. Portions are very generous- we all left very full and very satisfied. Would highly recommend!

We booked a table for 4 people a week ahead of time for 715pm. We arrived 5 minutes early, We ordered our food, which came out about 20 minutes later, approx (735pm). we were enjoying a night out with our daughter/son-on-law after a long drive up from London. Then at 810 a staff member came over and asked if everything was ok and said, we need this table for 830 for another booking!! Also, the salmon was slightly over-cooked and extremely salty. Doubt we will go back. Codi's was recommended. They should have either said upon booking or even upon arrival: the table need to vacated by 830, or 'chase' other clients that were there longer than us. Service charge of 10% is added to the bill also so be careful when paying/tipping

Amazing good and experience, very friendly staff. I am not local to the area and saw this place recommended in a gluten free group. Really pleased with the amount of gluten free options, and my gluten eating friends also had great food. Good selection, good taste, very attentive staff. Shame we live so far away but we will be back for sure. First time I was able to eat gyozas in over 2 years

Called in for take out this evening and I am so impressed with everything. Staff were lovely from taking the order by phone to serving once there. Had the miso cod and the S&P chicken. Both were out of this world. Will be a regular thing for us

What a great find on my doorstep. This small restaurant is constantly busy with eat in service and take away. Cuisine is pan-asian which means that sashimi, beautiful raw tuna, sits alongside Thai inspired cauliflower, tofu with chicken. Everything is fresh prepared and presented beautifully. Staff from the kitchen to the table are knowledgeable and friendly. I will be returning.

This unassuming place served the best sushi and Japanese food I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying. We had the rainbow rolls, Korean shredded beef bao buns, crispy rice bites and bang bang cauliflower. Every bite was a delight, full of fresh mouthwatering flavours, by far the best sushi I’ve ever eaten!

Last minute meal! Called to see if they had tables but they didn’t. Someone took my number to let us know when a table was leaving as were a couple of minutes away. Called straight back and we dashed up there via the off licence to get a bottle of wine - £2 corkage! Very warm welcome! Great menu and attentive service. Great music playing but could hear yourself talk. Food was delicious. Teriyaki chicken dish and a salmon teriyaki dish with salami, chicken gyoza and some kimchi ! All served piping hot and delicious. Good value for money. Wish they had one in cardiff!

Ordered at 6pm for 7pm collection.food not ready until 7.10pm.i asked if everything was in the bag.told yes.when checked one product was missing..server apologised and handed over another bag. Wow, the food was really delicious, and the atmosphere was nice too. However, please make it clear for customer if the automatic service charge is discretionary or not. I challenged the staff because I don’t feel it’s justified for 2 people dining and was told first it was the latter just to be told it was in fact discretionary. Please sort this out and I’ll be coming back regularly.

We ate here on the 5th January 2024 & had a really lovely meal for four - BYOB was a bonus. Nice friendly service too. With family close, we will definitely return xx

Found this place scrolling through HDM and was pleasantly surprised to see a wide variety of halal dishes. Not only was the food incredible and flavourful, the staff were really nice and friendly too and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely will be returning here ! We came with a group of 8 and were lucky to find seating however we were told with large groups to consider making reservations next time since seating is limited !

Really delicious food. Lots of choice on the menu & extras on special board. We had Veg Gyoza which were gluten free so a real treat 😋 Maki rolls, crispy rice bites, teriyaki beef, firecracker chicken… all amazing! Didn’t take photos of everything as wanted to eat! Place is really cosy & service was great 😊

I recently had the chicken katsu curry at Codis Kitchen. The service was impressively quick and efficient even during peak hours. Considering the limited seating, I'd recommend booking in advance. A good choice for those seeking a tasty meal with prompt service.

We came here with friends, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was yum (especially the bang bang cauliflower) and being able to bring your own booze was a way to keep the costs down! Book essential as it’s a small cosy place with limited tables.

Came here for my birthday treat today and it was absolutely delicious. They catered brilliantly for my fussy tastes as well, which most places aren't willing to accommodate! Portion size was more than adequate and the food quality was perfect in terms of taste, temperature and presentation. The surroundings are attractive and cosy and I can't wait until my next visit!!!

Food is ok but felt pretty ripped off, prices are not correct on the online menu. Paid £15 for a small box of noodles and chicken no drink included would not go again.

Had the most delicious lunch on the Early Bird menu. Too much for us to finish! Been wanting to come since it opened and it was definitely worth the visit. Great value, lovely venue and fabulous food.

Best Japanese I’ve ever had! The pickled ginger made my eyes water, the tuna on the sushi was so fresh and the cauliflower was crispy but equally as tasty. 10/10 couldn’t recommend any improvements!

I first tried Codi’s kitchen during lock down when it was a takeaway only. I had some sushi and Chicken Teriyaki which was amazing. This was my first chance to visit the restaurant since opening and it didn’t disappoint. The Bao Buns and Korean Chicken were soooo good, with lots of flavour. I can’t wait for my next visit and to try more off the menu. There’s such good choice, such good prices, everything is fresh and it has such a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Staff are helpful and lovely too :)
