Great sandwiches and cakes. Staff lovely and friendly too. We really enjoyed going there as felt welcome. Shame they probably lose out to other places more central.

Arriving in Grassington we decided to pop in for some supplies for a picnic. We accidentally walked in the wrong ‘entrance’ and were greeted with a very rude staff member telling us to wait outside and use the other entrance when it is our turn. If this had been asked on a nice/friendly way it wouldn’t have bothered us. The shop was very well presented and showcased local foods and lots of tempting baked treats. If it weren’t for the rude and off putting staff I would have loved to browse and buy more local products.

What a lovely little place, beautiful food, the hand cut ham was really tasty. We also bought potted meat, coleslaw and huge scotch eggs. They also make up sandwiches which are great for anyone passing or walkers to the area.

We had visited this pub a few years ago and had had a lovely meal so we decided to have lunch there on a recent visit to Grassington. Both of us had fish and chips and a drink: the bill came to £48. Adequate, would best describe the food. It took two attempts to get my partners fish cooked correctly. I can only call it fish because neither of us could taste what it was! The fish portion was decidedly small. Altogether, we felt 'stung' for a second rate meal. I hope for later customers, the cook was off that day.

We spent the night in a twin room. On arrival the pub was a bit busy but the landlord took the time to welcome and show us the room. The room was clean and the en-suite whilst not the biggest was clean and functional. After a great night's sleep the full English breakfast was really good. We would certainly stay again.

Today I took my two grandchildren to the farm for a day out. We went to the cafe for lunch which was dire. The ciabatta cheese and ham sandwich was dreadful. Bread so hard it could break your teeth, two small pieces of ham which I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be bacon or cooked meat and the cheese was some kind of orange coloured melted mess that I’m not even sure was cheese! There was virtually nothing in the sandwich. The chicken goujons were dry and the coating burnt. The cappuccino was only lukewarm and bitter. It was awful and a very long wait for the food and the food is expensive. We won’t be going there again.
