Reids of Roberttown Cafe in Kirklees

Popped in for lunch, very friendly service, fresh food and I wouldnt hesitate to eat there again if I am ever back in the area. The lady even gave me the recipe for one of her soups!

We visit regularly and can’t fault it; the staff are warm, accommodating, hospitable and always make time for a chat, no matter how busy they are. The food is fantastic and freshly made, using lovely, local ingredients. They also make a great coffee! There are a lot of cafes in the local area but few live up to Reid’s, it’s a real gem!

I have been to Sarah's cafe since she first opened, for a variety of coffee and cake, breakfast, lunch and special evening menus. I have seen Sarah go from strength to strength, developing menus, events changing to adapt to covid by creating a lovely outdoor area. Her passion and personality shine through it all and the food that she has created with Granville has gone from strength to strength. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the 5 star trip advisor review. 🙂

Our first visit and Super fresh sandwiches lovely filling accompanied by nice salad. Very impressed. Served very quickly by friendly staff. Will call again. Thankyou

Having visited a couple of times before for breakfast/lunch, we saw that Reids was hosting a Deli Board Evening on a Friday night and it was superb! The atmosphere was lovely, an intimate dining setting with a great variety of homemade foods and flavours. We enquired about the potential of a private party and nothing seemed too much. We're looking forward to the next evening and will be back soon! Thank you Reids!

After visiting Reid’s many times for coffee, breakfast, Christmas wreath making workshop and some of their fantastic themed nights I decided to approach Sarah about hosting a small baby shower at the cafe. Sarah and her team put on a beautiful afternoon tea for everyone with a fantastic selection of drinks, sandwiches, pastries, cakes etc all of which went down a treat. The team were so friendly and helpful and made the afternoon so enjoyable. I can’t recommend Reid’s enough. Wether it’s for a quick coffee and cake, sit down meal or help hosting a small event, Sarah and her team seem to be able to do it all. We are so lucky to have such a fantastic independent cafe on our doorstep! Thank you! :)

Absolutely love Reids 💕 We have been coming here for years . Breakfast ,lunches everything is of a high quality & good value . We were lucky to book a table at the Italian specialty night in February . The food by Granville( an incredible chef ) & Sarah ( proprietor) was just amazing.A good selection of wines etc sensibly priced . Everyone having fun such a great atmosphere. We popped in today (it was a snow day )& it was absolutely buzzing. Darcie & Alicia were rushed off their feet but they were as always lovely smiling & made everyone welcome. We have had buffets catered for & they have always been excellent. Open every day apart from Tuesday ☺️

Spur of the moment decision to go out for a late breakfast brunch, chose here as I knew they were open. Quite a busy menu, plus a specials board, plus a galaxy of cake & buns - too much choice. One full English and one bacon roll (choice of 3 breads) plus two very hot coffees were just excellent. Friendly young staff - a bit perplexed when I paid cash, it took two of them & a calculator to work how much change I was due.

What an absolute treat. Visiting family locally and ended up visiting everyday! Be it for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake, every time we went the service was excellent and the food exceptional! Very good sized portions and food sourced locally!! We will definitely be back!

Popped into Reid’s for lunch today with a friend. Our first visit and we’re blown away by how lovely and attentive the staff were. We sat outside on a lovely decking area, great for the summer. The coffee was beautiful. I had a sandwich, my friend a panini, and both came with fresh salad and was delish! Will definitely visit again.

We travelled from Devon and stopped off at Reid’s as we had read the fabulous reviews. Well Reid’s did not disappoint. From the warm welcome, to the large pot of Yorkshire tea and the tempting local delicacies. The 4 cheese quiche arrived warm with a scrummy coleslaw and plentiful salad. The deli Italian sandwich was superb with a delicious basil mayonnaise. A busy, happy cafe / bistro which welcomes couples, families, singles and dogs with smiles and warm hospitality. Don’t miss this gem of Roberttown!

Been once before. Went today with my husband before meal out tonight for his birthday. Had mussels and frites big portion very tasty. Prawn sandwich full of filling. Very friendly staff. Lemon cake to finish. Would recommend to family and friends

During our local walk...came across Reid's. Staff very welcoming. Decor lovely. Food excellent but most of all helped us out of a pickle!! They agreed to make platters of sandwiches for local football club (within two days) Our first visit but it won't be the last. Thank you so much.

Absolutely fabulous. 1st time for lunch and the experience was brilliant. The food was exceptional the service was fantastic. Overall , worth a trip. 10/10 very good

I am embarrassed that I have not reviewed Reid’s earlier. We have been going to Reid’s since they first opened in 2020 (possibly 2019?). Given the pandemic possibly the worst time to open but they have been an absolute rock to our local community during...
