Regans is still best in area we enjoy the food every time. I go with my friends they served always good and fresh food and cooked freshly in between 5 to 8 minute wait time.

Amazing food, freshly cooked, crispy batter! 1 of the best things about Regans is they cook all food fresh on order. Very rarely do you see this in a take away shop. I am happy to wait a few minutes knowing my food will be fresh.

Friendly customer service and amazing quality food. First time visiting this place since the new management took over but can safely say the taste is just as good, if not better! Old owners were a bit moody, so it is nice to see smiley faces.

Didn’t know this had new management it was awful had to wait for the fish to be cooked which is a nice touch but the batter was soggy and not cooked enough. Chips were dry and hard will not be visiting again

Since changing owners I'm afraid the food is now awful, went the other day for a portion of chips and battered sausage. Firstly the portion was indeed very small, the chips tasted like they were cooked the day before and left a horrible taste in my mouth and the sausage was soggy and looked as if it hadn't been cooked properly. So to summarise food was only fit for the bin. I definitely will not be going back, which is such a shame as the previous owners were there for over 30 years and food was always outstanding.

got 2 portions of sausage & chips, prices have gone up and chips seemed stale & soggy, sausage not the best quality and batter not crispy, unfortunately will not go back unless things improve, shame as always used to go there.

We have used Regans lots over the years and always had good food but it has now changed hands and I just felt I needed to feedback that it is very different. We have given the new owners 2 chances as is must be hard to settle in. My view after 3 chances is - the potions are now very small, the fish batter is very soggy and the chips are damp and not as you expect. It is very expensive for what you get.

Sadly it has changed hands and is nowhere near as good as it was. Pity as I have been going there for years, guess it is time to try somewhere new

Beautiful Well Cooked Food served Freshly Prepared every visit . Hygiene is perfect and the Owners are the Nicest People who always make sure everything is just right for their Customers . A well deserved Top Marks for Reagans .

Traveling down from the frozen north for the England - South Africa game..great result lads well done, and called in for a Pea Mix and Gravy, only to be told they don't sell gravy. What, please sort for the Six Nations, everything else fine.

I popped into Regan's on the way home to get s bite to eat. I was shocked when I see them get my fish from the bin and two foot it into the fryer, staff were laughing as he fish flew across the room. The small chips I ordered were already cooked ...... six months before, they were green with mould and some had mushrooms growing from them.Shocking take away. Never again !!

You can tell by the queues that this is a great place. The family run establishment is doing its best in troubling times with no staff able to work there because of Covid. Have to be patient but its worth it. Love it!

Been going to Regans weekly, If you want good Fish and Chips then pop along to this place, you will not be disappointed, My opinion it is the best.

A brilliant chippy. Food is hot and fresh, often cooked to order with lovely staff. The owner routinely hands over a few chips to any waiting kids to keep them going while they wait and they’re a super team.

We went there on a busy Friday, and appreciated the efficiency of the service and quality of the food.Found the head chef/manager quite entertaining whilst we were waiting in line, with his rubbish, but funny jokes.He has employed lovely staff, especially the 'wrapper lady', who always has a twinkle in her eye for you.He done well to find staff like that.We will definitely return.

We can all accept that waiting is part of the enjoyment for piping hot fish and chips. Offering alternatives that have a long cooking time and watching regulars order on arrival. You would expect that then applies for all but after waiting 20 minutes in line and trying to explain I needed a burger I was told to wait. When ordered 10 minutes later I was told another 10 minute wait. Fast approaching a 35 minute wait time. Could do better, I will now go to a closer shop with a view to changing my regular custom

Expensive & poor quality. Soggy chips not made to order. Ordered a large fish and it was shoved into a bag instantly, got home to find out it was obviously only a small fish. Wasn't even pleasant to eat, left half the chips it was so bad.

Lovely family business. You generally have to queue out the door but it is so worth it. Very reasonably priced too!

This is by far the best fish and chip shop for miles around, and it always has been. When I was a child Dad would drive past other establishments to go here, and now I am lucky enough to live in walking distance so I get all the great food without the car journey. Fantastic managers who have been here a long time and really committed and friendly.

I hate giving bad reviews but the fish was dreadful - the cold, soggy and half-cooked batter was as thick as the fish. Chips were ok.

Very rude and obnoxious owner does not like rugby fans or people from north of Watford lol. Never heard of gravy or customer service we were to far south for that apparently. Lol

Really enjoy our fish and chips on the way to rugby at Twickenham. We park at Nelson Road primary school and its a 15 min walk to the ground calling at Reagan’s on the way. A few plastic chairs outside the shop. Fish really fresh and chips lovely and fluffy/crunchy. I often don’t like the oil they’re cooked in, however at Regans the oil is fine and not oily! (If you know what i mean!)

You can't beat a Regan's for yummy freshly prepared fish and chips. Have been using them for 17 years now. A lovely couple always smiling and welcoming. The food is worth a small wait as it's freshly prepared and mouthwateringly good. Light crispy batter and flaky white cod , the best chips, and decent prices. No funny oil smells, very clean and freshly prepared. All good things come to those who wait. My kids love a Regan's treat.

Evening meal of cod and chips for one while the wife and kid were visiting the in-laws was as always, very tasty. Generally there's a little wait to get served during busy periods but service is polite and the food worth the wait!

Estoy muy local que wnt Regans pero por primera vez esta noche. Después de esperar unos 10 minutos (no hay problema con eso) me decepcionó mucho cuando llegamos y regular fuimos directamente a la parte delantera de la cola y la hizo su petición.

As a small child I would love to go into Regans with my Dad. I remember standing in the queue on a Friday night waiting to be handed the warm package to hug all the way home and chips on a wooden fork. Visiting Regans has not changed, it is always a pleasure, the food is great whether it gets home with you of is eaten in the way to somewhere.

I am a Kiwi so we are spoiled by freshly made fish and chips, always made to order. There are no heat lamps in any of our chip shops in New Zealand and if you ever used them you'd go out of business quickly.I have had bad experiences within London with chippies but Regans wasn't too bad at all. I was informed here on Trip Advisor that they didn't use heat lamps, but when I turned up early on a Friday, the heat lamps were right there and keep warm the fish, the battered sausages and all sorts of fried items. Not the freshness I was expecting at all!However that was the bad stuff. Aside from that the wait wasn't too long - this place is popular and you can see why. The staff are incredibly friendly and they work hard. The product is also pretty good - by far the best in this area and beyond. The menu is also pretty creative too.My fish was huge and aside from it sitting under a heat lamp for at least 30 mins, it was tasty and not too battered. My battered sausage was rock hard sadly but the chips were very good. And the price? Excellent value.Would I go back? No I won't. I have given up eating fish and chips in the UK, I have tried dozens in the last 12.5 years and I don't see my luck getting any better. However if you want great quality (for London/UK) and don't know any better then I do recommend it.

If you go in lunch time there is a good chance you will be served chips that have been cooked over from the previous evening

These are delicious fish and chips. The best in the area by far! Yum We usually order a large cod and medium chips with curry sauce and that's plenty for two people to share.

This is a small yet busy place which cooks every order when it's made ( so the food isn't sat for ages being reheated ). Always taste fresh and the couple who run it are really friendly and remember your name.

I've been going here for 3 years now. Really lovely owners, reasonable prices, good service and best chips from a fish & chip shop ever since they changed their potatoes recently! They cook a lot of their fish fresh and waiting a few minutes is well worth it. Gets very busy Friday night, can recommend ordering on the phone before arriving if you're in a rush.

Always cooked fresh. Pleasant owners so always a familiar face serving :) We don't have F & C over often but when we do, we go to Regans. It isn't cheap, but I think the price of fish overall has gone up. In short, we've never been disappointed by F & C cooked fresh to order. Recommended.

I stopped here on the way to the Rugby, was a bit of a question as expected on Rugby day but was well worth the wait, the staff we extremely pleasant considering how busy they clearly were and the food tasted great, the price was fair too. See you next Time I'm back in Whitton.

This chip shop used to have queues coming out the door of a night.but in the last few years it's really gone down hill this was the only chip shop me and my family used to use but the prices are quite high now and on top of that the portions are tiny to the point it's almost a joke.if you order large chips you will get the size of small what most other chip shops would give you.i must say the quality of the food is good not outstanding but good.now when I drive past here of a night most of the time there's not a single person in there.its a shame but bring your prices down and up your portion sizes and then maybe people will start returning until then I will just carry on using the chippy on the high St

Stopped by a while back, although I had passed it many times before. Thought it was very expensive and the fish and chips was nothing special for the price I paid compared to my local chippie when I lived near Twickenham Green. I would not return again. As the title says, I can't believe the other reviews think it's excellent, have they been anywhere else.

The best chip shop . Really great fresh food. There is always a long queue on a Friday but always worth the wait. Nice cod and chips and the battered sausage not bad either. The lady owner is very welcoming with a smile. A great way to start the weekend. Average cost cod and chips a fiver. Depends on the size of your chips portion. Don't miss Regans.

You cannot get better than this. Remember those days as kids you used to queue up with your mum for a Friday fish and chip take-away supper.. Well Friday nights here are just the same, the guys who run Regans know almost everyone who lives locally, and there is always a warm welcome and a smile. The food is really well cooked and never greasy. If you don't fancy a long wait you can always telephone an order or come along on another day of the week, it is just as good without the long line. I highly recommend everything on the menu, but my favourite is simply cod and chips with curry sauce. Lovely !

Really look forward to this treat - to stop and have superb fish / sausage and chips on our way to watch England play at Twickenham (we park at Nelson road primary school). Delicious fresh fish and the best chips ever! Very reasonable cost (approx £4 for fish & chips - just the right sized portion for me) so much cheaper and better quality than in the stadium. Can sit or stand outside to eat but remember its just a 'take away.'

A great take away. All the usual chippy favourites but also some more eclectic options like curry sauce and mushy peas to keep us northerners happy. Because of quality it can get very busy but will take phone orders too.

Ended up here as we couldn't get into the restaurant we had made a reservation for and everywhere else was packed as it was match day. Need to eat as hubby is diabetic and were recommended this place by a passer by - fantastic fish & chips, quite possibly the best we have ever had - and the lady behind the counter was lovely too!

On match days when we are lucky enough to get rugby tickets it is our custom to drive to within a couple of miles of Twickenham Stadium, park at Heathland School (pre-paid match day parking) and then walk. About half way to the stadium (walking down Nelson Road) you come across Regans Fish & Chip shop - at just the precise time when you're beginning to fancy a bite to eat - and Regans serve some of the best fish & chips I've ever tasted. I say the same thing every time we go there so I thought I'd put it on tripadvisor.On match days there's normally a long queue, but it's well worth the wait. Fish and chips may not be haute cuisine but in the right circumstances they hit the spot and in this respect the standard of food served up at Regans is second to none.
