Used the cafe for the first time and will definitely be the last. 3 star hygiene should be a 1 ! Loose dog running around the kitchen, then the loose dog came up to my 2 year old sniffing her food. Desperately in need of a deep clean. Oil definitely needs changing, the smell was burning my eyes; hence the awful Chips. Oil must be very dirty, scampi was hard and crispy. Very expensive & poor value; the plates couldn’t get any smaller. On top of this terrible experience with the dreadful food, I’ve never come across such rude miserable staff. Would definitely not recommend. In desperate need of a visit from a health and hygiene officer. Only wish I’d taken photos

A disappointing experience. Place was not overly busy but stood for 10 mins at counter before someone actually spoke to me. Ordered bacon and Brie panini which took around 30 mins! We asked where food was and told it was being plated up which took another 10 minutes! When arrived, it tasted fine but a bit overpriced for the lack of effort put into it. Coffee had well been finished by the time it arrived. The staff were non communicative and lacked total enthusiasm which reflected in the whole atmosphere of the cafe. Will still use the park but definitely not the cafe!

£4.45 for a diabolical cheese toasty made with cheap white bread, no butter or spread, a basic cheese slice and two very thin slices of tomato. Cooked on a brevil toaster or similar. I say cooked but it was soggy and bland and didn’t taste like toast. Highw

I've been a regular patron of this cafe several times a week for many years. I was getting disappointed with it until very recently when things turned around. The warm atmosphere, friendly welcome and excellent toasted bacon butties have returned.... with gusto!! It seems its under new management and have had an increase of staff. The place is cleaner, happier and the smell of bacon cooking makes mine and my dog's noses twitch. Oh and they seem to be more dog friendly too. The staff seem happier, the new lady manager goes the extra mile when she's passing through the seating area, always smiling and I think the staff are happy working alongside her too as they are mostly all very attentive , and happy to serve. I see there have been a few changes to layout, then changed back again but I'm happy to support the changes as I can see the idea behind change is to aim for customer satisfaction. Well done manager for motivating the staff and well done staff for being keen to do a great job. I speak with several other regular customers daily... and I get the impression they all feel the way I do, its becoming an even friendlier place to come to see wildlife whilst eating breakfast and drinking coffee.... long may it continue

The Cafe has been our Monday ‘home’ for a number of years and have always been friendly and accommodating. It is set in the beautiful Cosmeston Country Park but is always clean and tidy. It’s a ‘no nonsense’ cafe with good coffee, what more do you want?

Very expensive kids sausage and chips meal. Stated on the menu the it came with sausages though only came with one sausage and very few chips for £5.49, when this was questioned the manager confirmed it was one, which didn't satisfy a 7 year old

Overlooking the reed beds and Cosmeston lake. Nice looking cakes. We had scampi and chips. Piping hot. Miserable boy serving.

I didn’t realise this was Coffi Co before we went in or id not have bothered - I just do not like their order outside / via app / via screens business model. Wasn’t very busy - ordered an iced coffee and a babycinio and took 9 minutes (we had to have a take away as we wanted to sit upstairs). Ordered no chocolate on the little ones drink but they put it on. My iced coffee was nothing special. Their toilets are public toilets and they are grim especially if you have a little girl who needs to come with you to the men’s. Wouldn’t bother again tbh same way I don’t with the other Coffi Co’s.

A really impressive and unexpected find, the food was proper gastro quality, made with care and skill and inexpensive. We had a roast pork for £16 and a buttermilk chicken burger for £14 (I think). Quality ingredients, generous portions, cannot fault and I always find improvements! Good chilled soundtrack and coffee too. Will defo be back!

I brought my parents here with my Dad being in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was warm from the second we opened the door and the beautiful decor showed the care and attention that we would see in the service and food preparation. I had a pork dish and my parents indulged with two different types of burgers with an artisanal bread starter. The food was a delight, the treat we set out to have. This warm and welcoming business is definitely on our go to list in future.

This could be such a great little stop—beautiful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of potential. Unfortunately, the experience was soured a bit by the café owners, who seemed to have a very strong stance against dogs and, honestly, not much warmth toward people either. We were met with frosty stares and the kind of energy you’d expect if we’d marched in wearing muddy boots and shouting—when all we did was smile and bring a well-behaved dog. It felt less like a café and more like we’d wandered into a private club where happiness is frowned upon. It’s such a shame, because the spot itself is lovely and could be a real gem with a bit more friendliness (and maybe a treat or two for the pups). Here’s hoping they warm up in future—both to customers and the idea that dogs aren’t the enemy.
