We went for lunch with friends and were extremely disappointed. We had a jacket potato (£8.25)and one each of the pie meals(£13.95). All three meals were virtually inedible. The inside of the jacket potato was rock hard and the skin very shrivelled- it had obviously been microwaved to within an inch of its life. The chicken and ham pie was dry while the steak pie contained nothing but gristle. Both pie meals were served with limp vegetables and dry chips and were lukewarm in parts and cold in others. The microwave not working efficiently for these meals. At the price this was nothing less than daylight robbery and if we hadn’t been with friends all three meals would have been returned and our money refunded. Drinks are also excessively priced and the service was poor as well. Needless to say we will never return.

Visit - Wednesday 21st Nov about 3pm - We had two filter coffees at £2.10 per mug - The lady, who was very friendly, actually put hot water in the mugs to warm them up however, the coffee was still only LUKEWARM - Looking at other reviews they CLEARLY HAVE A PROBLEM here.

Way too expensive for very basic food at a garden centre! We have been coming for years and now it’s priced us out for coming in the future as it now costs more to eat here than dinner at nice pub! Crazy how much they charge for food. For 3 of us to eat lunch we are lucky if cost under £45! Nice staff but will go to a pub in future with far better quality food for less.

We were gifted an afternoon tea and couldn't fault it at all. The dainty sandwiches were made with lovely fresh bread with a variety of fillings. There was also a small sausage roll each, a small piece of quiche each, a little bit of salad and an awesome selection of delicious cakes. We had the choice of tea or coffee and chose to have tea which also went down a treat. The staff were very. friendly and polite. Would highly recommend.

Nice, clean and airy restaurant. Good selection of food and reasonable prices. Would definitely return as it is on a route where there isn't much else. Only downside were two staff members in garden centre having an exchange of words which was a little unprofessional and made us uncomfortable. Take it out the back ladies!

Went in for coffee and cake. Unfortunately the coffee was awful. Barely lukewarm and very little coffee. Why are so many restaurants ditching these barista machines for these push button monstrosities. The price w now have to pay for a coffee means we should at least expect something drinkable. When we mentioned it to a member of staff, she said “the official line was that this is the optimum temperature. However I could ask for my coffee to be heated through”. What a load of rubbish!! Can restaurants / cafes really afford to lose customers in these tough times by not providing a decent coffee ?

Lunched here as being treated by friends for a birthday celebration. As a party of 4 people, 3 of us wanted jacket potatoes. Sorry, jackets are off! This is Norfolk. We grow them here. There is a farm shop literally just up the road, where they sell them by the sack. How can they run out of potatoes?! Had to choose something else. Went for panini with skinny fries, which was quite nice but took ages to come, with tables ordering after us, being served first. My partner opted for the pie with chips and peas. The gravy was already poured onto his meal yet there was also a seperate gravy boat as well. Gravy overkill perhaps. The peas in the ramekin were a bit dried up and bullet like on the top (microwaved) but underneath, they were also moistened with gravy. Odd. Hope they hadn't been left by another diner, scraped off their plate and re-heated. We used to come here often for veggie breakfasts, but tend to stay closer to home now. Probably won't be returning for lunch again.

I've been to this garden centre many times but have never eaten in there so this was a first for me. I visited with family on a Saturday lunchtime (7 of us) and we all had something to eat/drink. There wasn't any tables big enough for all of us so we had to push two together. Myself and my partner had a glass of tap water, a cup of tea and a slice of carrot cake first which came to about £5.25 I think which wasn't too bad - the cake was very nice . One of our family members treated us all to lunch which included bowls of chips, jacket potato, salad, rolls and a cupcake - not sure what else they had. They also had a mixture of drinks as-well which were pretty overpriced (£2.50 each from the fridge). I'm not sure how much all their food came to but they were happy with it, they said it good for the price and all arrived piping hot. Myself and my partner had a bowl of chunky chips each which were really nice - ideal for a quick stop by lunch, plenty of condiments were provided. My 2 year old wasn't that hungry so she only had half a cupcake which was quite sickly and not the best of cupcakes but she had lots of slices of orange which were given to us for free. Plus we were told that this was something they don't usually do for people so this was really nice of them as dining out with fussy toddlers isn't easy! All the food arrived quickly and the staff were very polite and friendly. As we were leaving it started to get pretty busy, they had to put a sign up saying 'full' so I'm assuming it gets quite busy at the weekends. Will definitely be visiting again when I'm next in the area.

We usually like to lunch here when we come to Bawdeswell garden centre and everything is usually well ok. Yesterday we ordered lunch and the quening was long (we think they had a technical problem). No coffee was available. Jane order butternut squash risotto and sweet potato and I ordered cod and chips. My cod was overcooked and although the chips looked good they were dry and powdery inside. Good lunch venue for the 4 of us, no need to book. Bit confusing at the self service /till. .. e.g. you have to order and pay at the till.. only one till so a queue quickly forms especially as many customers are fairly elderly. However , the food was good at lunch time and the tables were spaced apart to give people room. Despite being busy it wasn’t noisy, thank goodness. I do think the self service system needs sorting out though, my coffee was almost cold when I got back to my table. Full Waiter service would be so much better.. even it cost a bit more.

I would give a 3.5 if able. Possibly the weirdest shaped scones I have come across, but what does it matter when they taste so good. The cheese ones were light and very cheesy and the fruit scones had a touch of candipeel which added to the flavour both came with the option of Marge or butter. The coffee is of a decent quality and is served at a good temperature so remains hot while you eat your scone. The seating is comfortable with options of inside, conservatory or outside. It was quiet when we were there even though it was just before 1100hrs. You can access both the plants area and sopping arcade from the seating areas.

A large restaurant which is past of a garden centre which seems to be expanding to sell just about everything. There are several separate areas to sit, both inside and outside and a good range of food. We were there on a hot day and pick an area which was rather warm, so think before you sit. I like this cafe but haven't been for ages because you were forced to walk through a large part of the store to get there (a pet hate of mine in any store to be honest). Went today and the walk is even longer now! Such a shame as the food is generally good and the service pleasant. I know I am not the only one who feels this. I wonder if the loss of business in the cafe is compensated by the impulsive buys as a result of a forced walk through? For me the opposite works. If I could happily wander through in any direction long or short, I would be inclined to go more to the cafe and purchase more in store.

The staff are really friendly and helpful but their serving system is incredibly slow. It is not helped by a strict to the second refusal to take a lunch order until 12 on the dot. This results in people milling around just outside or even in the café itself and then a huge queue from 12.00. On a busy day some people walk past the queue to put coats on to save a table leaving others with nowhere to go. Perhaps the simple system of sitting first and then looking at menu and then going to an order with your table number would help. The food is nice but expensive compared to several really nice places in Norfolk.

What we got was a soggy-bottomed sliver of pie the size of a man's finger containing a couple of small chunks of chicken, some squares of ham and a solitary piece of leek. Yes, the plate was full with six different vegetables and lots of boiled potatoes which swamped the miniscule piece of pie, but it was a poor excuse for a main meal.

The whole place was light and airy and despite the large party and many others didn't seem overcrowded or cramped. Staff were helpful and cheery. Service was prompt and the food was excellent and plentiful. It wasn't over priced and despite being very busy the wait for the food was not overly long.

Reeves Parlour restaurant is a cafe within Bawdeswell Garden Centre. Indoor seating conservatory area and outdoor tables cater for all types. With books to read, selection of pictures or views of the garden centre. We arrived just after 2.30pm and there was nothing in the 2ay of lunch type food on display as they'd moved into Cake and Drinks for £3.25. Great cakes and a refreshing cuppa if all you fancy is a light snack I'm the afternoon.

We often call in as it is local to us and if we want something from the attached garden centre we call in for a drink. I don't often have cake in the afternoon but with the tea and cake offer and the lovely looking chocolate cake I gave in to temptation. I'm glad I did as it was scrumptious.

Very clean and nice atmosphere, it is set in a conservatory. Hot menu changes everyday. The cakes and desserts are home made and fabulous. It is self service but the staff are very helpful to less abled diners.

Reeve's Parlour a very quaint and picturesque restaurant situated in the Bawdeswell Garden Centre. I've visited this establishment on several occasions and have never been disappointed, but on this visit I suspect they were either having an off day or simply overwhelmed by the patrons, the place was heaving, hardly a spare table available which obviously reflected in the service....it was slow and I mean slow! The system is that you order your meals and drinks at the counter on entry, the drinks are served there and then and the meals brought to your table when available.

We came across this Garden Centre restaurant in our travels and decided to call in for a coffee. Very spacious with a great selection of cakes. Scones especially good .

Along with lots of others, we visited the cafe for a break after watching the Tour of Britain cyclists whizz past nearby. Despite the queue, the service was good, and the scones tasty. The garden centre itself is also clean and tidy with lots of interesting/useful things for sale. Good access, good choice of snacks/ food.

Excellent Sunday lunch. We had roast (choice of 3 meat) which was really good value at £8.95. Order at till, take number and the meals appear quickly. Tasty. Also offer both cold and hot desserts which we also ate.

This was a regular stop for their wonderful cakes and breakfasts. They had been advertising afternoon teas so we decided to treat ourselves just before going on holiday. We booked a few weeks in advance but when we arrived on the day we found the gates locked. We did see the owner leaving but he just said "we're closed - got no staff" and drove off. The whole garden center has been closed since and word is they went bankrupt. We feel really sorry for the wonderful staff and can only hope they found something else 😢

Staff always friendly. Came in for a lattee with a friend, nice to hear music but it was uncomfortably loud today not very relaxing.

We stayed one night in our camper-van in the car park at the Great Danes country Inn at Beachamwell (a small pretty village near Swaffham) as a stop-over on the way to the Norfolk Broads. Roger made us very welcome and although the restaurant was closed they served take-out food. We were expecting cardboard cartons etc. but Roger came out with a tray, china and cutlery promptly at the time we requested. The food was very good - piping hot and generous portions and great value at around £20 for two servings. Definitely recommend.

We had an event at the local Snetterton Race circuit and needed a local overnight stay for 4 of us. This was a late booking with a tight budget but on the web the place looked nice, charismatic and within budget. Booking was through booking.com and I immediately received plenty of information regarding the booking and confirmations etc. On arrival these notes proved spot on with regards to location, key collection etc. The room was very clean, functional and if a little dated, well equipped. I think the microwave, fridge etc was a bit of a covid hangover but nevertheless a welcome addition. TV was a little limited on channels but other than that fine. We did eat in the main restaurant and I thought it was pretty good. It was not high end fussy nonsense, just a generous helping of good food and in my opinion reasonably priced. Staff and service was excellent. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet, all in all ticked all the boxes. Thank you to the team at the Willows.
