Set meal for 2. Veg spring rolls - devine. Prawn dish was spot on, loads of them & cooked well. Sweet and sour chicken super tasty, beef dish - the meat was slighty chewy/fatty. Pineapple and chicken rice was super tasty! Order arrived quickly and on time. Will be ordering againl

One of the nicest Chinese takeaways I’ve ever had. Food was amazing, not greasy at all and cooked perfectly. Delivery time was amazing cause there was meant to be a delay but no delay happened so…perfect.

Food was okay. Ordered wonton and all I got was twisted pastry puff, no filling inside whatsoever. Will be ordering more carefully next time.

Extremely low quality food. Small portions, expensive for little, poor fair, half filled the boxes, and more onions than anything else. Chow mein was boiled dry, not stir fried as per, about 6 bean shoots in the pot. Sauce in dishes like glue. Best thing was the sweet and sour sauce, which was £3 for a pot!!! First and LAST time I will be using this place. Yuck!

Ordered through Just eat and the place I normally use was closed, so used these and half my order was missing and it looks like something my dog has produced and when I phoned the women wasn't interested and said just sort it out with just eat.

Driver said he gave food to someone on the street and lied about them giving my name and address. Resturant refused to refund or send new food.

Have used a lot over the last 10 years, very polite phone manners, and is the best Chinese food around, not to greasy and flavours stand out unlike most. Crispy chile beef or chicken actually crispy and meat not stringy/over cooked Not the cheapest around, but only one I have seen with a Food standards agency rating of 5 (Dec 2023) Is now my only place to order :)

Excellent swift delivery, food needed warming up a bit. Not sure why duck in plum sauce was full of pineapple chunks, but tasty anyway.

I still haven’t received the order, it was due at 6:55 latest; it’s now 19:45 and still nothing. Called and was told it’d be 5-10mins apparently an issue with just eat as it hadn’t been sent when they said it had etc

Ordered 3 dishes and the noodles were lovely, however the other 2 dishes were disappointing. The crispy chilli beef like a sweet and sour dish - never had it like that before and wasn’t very nice! Don’t think we’d order from here again.

Absolutely appalling look at this dish of ribs. You should be ashamed of yourself, you come into this country and take the piss out of the people that got you in. Complete losers.

Never received food driver has marked as delivered

The chow mein and chicken fried rice was dry. The chicken balls and prawn balls were soggy reheats. The chicken curry has a sweet taste. The onions were hardly cooked. The Chilli fried prawns had no chilli heat! It was all a little cold.

Food was very tasty, fresh, good portions. The only thing I found different was the sour sauce was brown instead of red, but the chicken was still very tasty and crispy. Delivery time was within the hour the app had said Thank you

Wasn’t great. This time I’m afraid chow mein was overcooked and food was cool. Just eat drivers fault that the meal was cool. - it’s usually fantastic though.

First delivery was no even our order then had to wait for another order to be delivered and had to return the wrong order to the driver that delivered it while we were eating our food. We had guests over and it was very frustrating!

Great food, although chips were missing from the omelette dish. One pack of prawn crackers were not as fresh as the other pack. Lovely delivery driver, polite and apologetic. Would still order again.

Had not the most nicest experience with this place. Ordered through Uber Eats, have not received food on time, so called the restaurand. The guy on the phone barelly speak English so was very hard to explain what I want. But finally I got an answer that he will prepare the food now and I should get my order after another 30 min!? While received the order and checked I saw that I received pork ribs instead of squid. Chown mein looked like not freshly made so we did not even eat them. Chrispy shredered beef was awful taste. I could say that it was waste of money.

No problems as usual. Have been using them for many years with no need to complain, remains a mystery to me why they ever get negative comments.

I wasn’t a fan of this takeaway. I’d not eat again. The noodles or chow mein were ok but they were a bit spicy. The delivery was 15 or 20 mins which was ok. As we’ve ordered via Just Eat.

I did not receive my delivery. Waited an hour then called and advised the driver was on there way! Called after 30 mins they advised that it had been delivered. Obviously not. The staff were rude and said it was not their problem and to contact just eat. So angry 😠 especially after just coming out of hospital. My husband was waiting. Complete liars, unprofessional. Seriously they shouldn't even get any stars. Waiting for my compensation.

Advised would be with us 7.50 to 8.10 at 8.15 advised on way 25 minutes later called red sun to be advised that order had not even left restaurant. Advised 15 minutes for driver to get there then another 20 before got to us. Clearly lied about delivery time to keep stats up. Told them not to deliver. I want my 82.00 back. Please advise how this will happen before I contact my legal advisor

Order over £80 of food. Waited 90 mins for food, ordered via JustEat, was told food was in its way. Waited 30 minutes, rang to see where it was only to be told that it hadn’t left, and was ready. It had been there 10-15 minutes and would take another 10-15 minutes to arrive, it was because they had a lot of orders…. ?!

They lied about delivery by saying it’s an extra 24 mins, we are not waiting 1 1/2hours for £82 meal . Please refund

Salt and pepper squid was disgusting, chewy and wet. Crackling pork was quite nice. Prices were ridiculously expensive for the quality of the food. Wouldn’t buy from there again

Years ago I used to love red sun but it’s just not nice now. Only used it as it was late and my usual takeaway was shut. The egg fried rice was nice, but the crispy chilli beef had no spice, the sauce just tastes like sweet and sour sauce which is horrible. Crispy aromatic duck just isn’t crispy or aromatic, bland. Sweet and sour chicken was horrible. Chicken hard and the sauce just unpleasant. It’s far too expensive, I don’t mind paying anything if the food is good but this just isn’t worth the money. Next time I won’t make the same mistake and make sure I order from the golden dragon walderslade village before it shuts!

Been getting my takeaways from here for about 7 years now and have never had any reason to complain. Very polite and helpful. Delivery is always early and the food is always delicious and cooked perfectly. A little more expensive than other takeaways but you get what you pay for.

Chewy un swallowable beef, sour freezer burn taste / tainted tinge to some of the chicken and £3.50 prawn crackers. Based on this order i would not use again. The wan ton soup was nice though.

Worst Chinese in Gillingham! The young man on the phone is absolutely CLUELESS! Why does the food taste like they use Indian seasoning? All I can taste is curry powder! Wasted £23 gave it to my dogs!!!
