Clean comfortable place to eat drink and chat. Staff are really pleasant and polite. Food is great and plentiful. No silly little portions. Would definitely go back again.

always wanted to try this place as from outside it looks so empty but when i went in quite a lot of people were there. i tried the mushroom chicken pie, it was bland but the pastry used was great and soft. the pork bbq loaded chips were sooo yummy but portion was small. the vibes were great almost like a spoons but tad bit more pricey.

Visited on Thursday, was served by Lauren and Chloe. They were both brilliant even though it was so busy and I could tell there were some really difficult customers that day. Lauren handled it all really well, can’t fault her customer service! Will definitely be back :-)

Enjoyed lunch here on more than one occasion. Dog friendly (in the tile floored areas of the venue, and generally easy to access. Meals of the kinds of prices you'd anticipate, and given the chance to correct it the missing item from my meal was provided quickly, & without issue. Wish they had the guest ciders on the app so they could be ordered from the table.

Restaurant was spacious with modern decor, Some of the furniture was shabby and needs recovering/replacement. There was only one staff member serving so service was slow. Availability of drinks was good. The meuu was comprehensive and prices about par for a pub restaurant. My partner and I used a meal voucher which made the visit more affordable. The food quality was fair though the steak was hard to digest. Portion sizes were generous. I would welcome smaller portions and slightly lower prices.

Took the Mrs mother in law and sister in law &kids for Mother’s Day lovely food the staff very helpful very good prices for the quality of food will definitely going a lot more in the future.

Nice pub with an enclosed outside seating area which makes it child friendly, food is always good staff are friendly and efficient

I always feel comfortable in the Mast & Rigging, it’s always welcoming and the staff are very friendly. It’s reasonably priced and has a good range of drinks and meals.

The food smelt and taste amazing. Best burger I've eaten in a long time. It was also presented well it all looked great. Kids facilities were good and the whole experience was really nice. We'll definitely be coming back again.. soon!

Great greeting upon arriving, immediately shown to table though busy, and found it easy to order using the QR code, including applying a voucher code we had. Food doesn't look much on the plate but it was all very tasty.

Had the best pizzas last week 👌 compliments to the chef, best I've tasted in a while. Fast and efficient young lady who cooked for us. Thank you 😊

We had a horrible experience, took ages to get our drinks, waited 45 mins for our starter and 1 1/4 hours for our mains. The food was disgusting we couldn’t eat it. Was burnt tasted like rubber! Wouldn’t fed it to anyone. Staff were unhelpful. Toilets disgusting. Will definitely never return.

Leah is so sweet and was happy to have a conversation and actually get to know the people she is serving, making us feel very comfortable. Noticed her and the other people on her team were working very well under pressure.

Food and service good, food was hot and tasty. Only issue was the toilet facilities, smelly and able to smell them from outside the toilet area, and not very clean. If I'd had a table next to them I would have requested another table or left!

Staff were great as always. Robbie and Jake couldn’t have been more helpful and Chloe's service was super fast. Food was excellent from Josef. Would recommend a visit!

Below average food - I ordered a pepperoni pizza as they have a “pizza oven”, it was one of the blandest, chewy pizzas I have ever had. A feeling that the waiting staff are constantly talking about you and a hostile atmosphere. Over charged for drinks - it felt like an opportunistic move by the server…

Booked a table with a special request of a quiet booth. It was a birthday meal & my daughter has extreme anxiety. No booth, but table at side of restaurant was given. Within minutes a family with very loud children who were constantly left unattended, were seated directly behind us. Quite a few items on the menu were unavailable which was disappointing. We ordered burgers, which we've had previously. Unfortunately when they arrived they resembled something from the child's menu! Tiny dry plain topped buns with 2 overcooked burger patties & a handful on chips! We spent over £80 on a meal I could've cooked better at home & wouldn't have even cost a tenner! This pub used to be a family favourite, but recently the food & atmosphere has declined. I appreciate that it is a family pub but the noise levels are ridiculous & no1 ever stops children running around the pub, crashing into other customers tables or, when the children are actually sitting down, they have ipads propped up with the volume up full! The past few times we have visited there have been many tables clearly being disturbed during their meals in this way but obviously not wanting to cause a scene by complaining! Unfortunately, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Not only was the food tasty, but the staff were kind and charismatic. Jake particularly put in a lot of effort to ensure that our family member’s birthday was a special one, bringing out the cake and food with care and humour. Thanks a lot!!! :D

Great service the guy behind the bar Jake was honestly so helpful and patient when we was ordering, gave us great recommendations on the food, the pub had an amazing variety of food and drinks the food was beautiful and the drinks were unreal the atmosphere was so friendly and inviting and everyone was so welcoming

All the above but toilets need to be kept clean, this was the only downside.

Table of twelve for a birthday meal, really well looked after by Jake. He was very attentive and fun to deal with, whole experience was made enjoyable by him. He looked after the large table really well.

Came in this evening with my wife. We had a curry deal. Wednesday curry deal. Was absolutely lovely, hot and presented well. We’re looking forward to the quiz tonight also. Great place to come for some amazing food and drink, especially when they have live music nights on, came to try out some of the new menu stuff and the guys did not disappoint one bit, great food and drink recommendations from Lauren, and thank you to Chris and josef for the food all was spot on!!

Absolutely love this place but sadly it's very understaffed ATM so service isn't as impeccable as it used to be. Good hot hot at a great prices and what staff there is are very attentive to your needs.

Great family friendly place to come to, we loved that there were board games which customers could use. Kept my 2 little ones entertained. Also love that there is monthly events on, food and service was amazing, couldn't fault a thing. We love visiting and always have a pleasant time

Came in today for dinner with my kids we enjoyed our meals. Was served by waitress sian she was very attentive and polite.

Food and service good, it was a quiet Monday night so not much atmosphere in the pub but choice of tables and able to chat meant we had a brilliant night.

Very clean and staff available for any queries. Food was nice and hot.. which is always a plus!! Second time I have visited with a frond and enjoyed the easy menu. Kids also enjoyed the playground area.

The 80’s night was fab last night, Chloe and Rebecca behind the bar were wonderful and Dom serving us laughs and food will definitely be back for the next music night in feb cheers guys

Visited without planning, late Friday evening. Popped in for some food with a friend, very happy with my experience. Food was lovely, I had the lasagna! Quick and hot. the waitress Sian was very quick and full of energy and attentiveness’s Even asked if we wanted any desserts.. I noticed the small children’s play area and pond, i will definitely be returning with the family again

Nice place. Plenty of parking. Clean enough. Small indoor play area and outdoor play park for the children. Also books and toys inside to take to the table. Food was hot and big portions with a good selection. Prices reasonable. Think most Marstons are the same. I like the chain because they are quite family friendly. Plenty of seating. Just a good little spot.

Visited the venue last Friday around 6:30 in the evening with a friend of mine and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is very good and not the generic standard you get everywhere else. I had the chicken Kebab and my friend the pizza. We were served by a lovely young lady with long dark hair who was very cheery and pleasant. She made us feel welcomed and helped us with our choices as we hadn’t visited the venue before. I would definitely recommend and I’m looking forward to returning soon as there are many more things I want to try on the menu !

Over priced and poor atmosphere with limited menu options on a Sunday.

Lack of bar staff even when quiet, tables not cleared, we cleared our own, my confirmed reservation was ignored and we had to find another table, the toilets were not clean, muck on the floor, the urinals were dusty and a bit of a smell…

Popped in on the spur of the moment for a light lunch. It was clean, staff were friendly. Food was reasonably priced and reached our table without much of a delay. It was hot, my wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely be returning

Staff weren't great, couldn't be bothered to make a coffee so told me the machine wasn't working even though it obviously was, excuse was we are only filling in while the real staff are at a party. Food was nice and delivered quickly but nothing special.

Sorry but I was disappointed with my visit with friends. A table of 7. The pub was not busy at all. the young lady who served us didn't smile once whilst we was there. The food took quite a while to come but when it arrived most was good. The steaks were cooked well as directed but the sausage and mash was very disappointing. The mash was very waterey. We also wanted to order deserts but was told at 9.02 that the kitchen was closed so we were very disappointed. Will not visit again.

Came here a few days ago to catch up with friends, and I cannot fault this place one bit, amazing atmosphere, the staff on shift I belive to be jake and Robbie where amazing and nothing was to much to ask, the shots and cocktails where incredible. The food was brilliant thanks you to the head chef Chris for an great meal once again. Will be back very soon.

No roast potatoes on roast lamb, don’t think my 30% off mains voucher was properly applied as it cost £40.58 for two mains (roast and chicken burger), a pepsi and a coffee!

The Roast Turkey Dinner was superb and plentiful, the veggies were all cooked to my liking, I asked for more gravy and received a full gravy boat immediately. I eat here often and always find it friendly and welcoming.

We visited the Mast and Rigging this afternoon with our toddler for the first time. The staff were all friendly and the pub was busy but it was a good atmosphere. Our starters were tasty and nice. For mains my hubby had scampi which was great. I had a sirloin which was the best steak I've had in awhile and my toddler enjoyed her chicken dippers meal. For puddings we had a lovely sponge with custard, apple crumble was delicious and lil one liked abit of ours and her strawberry and pineapple pieces. Only thing that might need alil love is maybe regular checks of the restroom area as we're potty training our lil one. We loved it overall and will be recommending to friends and returning in the future.

Booked 2pm sitting Christmas Day. Arrived on time, didn't get shown to our table until 2.30pm. by 3.15pm we hadn't even got our starters so we left, Christmas lunch ruined. We had brought a relative with us for a Christmas day treat, he lives in a care home in Minster, Isle of Sheppey, where they all enjoyed a Christmas lunch, unlike our relative and the rest of our party!!

Liam & team were exceptional in their service.. Cldnt fault them..nothing was too much trouble... Will def come bk and recomend

Lovely food at a reasonable price. Ordering on the app is impersonal and always confuses my father-in-law about why he can't pay. He's in his 90s, so he hasn't ever owned a mobile phone.

Organised to have our work Christmas dinner here as their Christmas menu looked appealing. We were really disappointed when we arrived and were told we had to pre book for the Christmas dinner. The person on the door said she would normally have called to check, but she had been ill. This put a real damper on the evening. It was a real shame as we had been here before and everything was fine.

Sticky table!! Clean but varnish sticky. Steaks overdone for medium , so tough and dry! Starters of breaded mushrooms were good garlic bread very good and cauliflower was very tasty!

Great afternoon. Amazing customer service, especially Chris checking the food was alright and we was happy. Food was delicious. The festive menu is a great price for how much you get. Will be back again.

They had run out of Sunday menu items and neglected to mention until I asked. I had tikka masala that was so watery it might as well have been served in a cup with a straw. Popadom coated in a thick layer of oil and a cold naan bread. Absolutely awful. Also ran out of full fat Pepsi and I was laughed at when I said I will not drink zero or diet.

The food ,drinks and service are excellent and I highly recommend the mast and rigging they catered for my family and we were a party of 8 people thanks to all the staff .

Shortage of staff to cover the demand meant significant delays. Both booking in and ordering and then serving. Was offered free dessert or drink which was nice gesture but we decided to politely decline and acknowledge the hard work the staff were doing under a lot of pressure.

Such yummy food and excellent service from Tilly and Ollie. Brilliant gluten free choice!

Meet here with friends regularly. Family friendly with outside play area for children. There is no table service, so you need to order your food and drinks from the bar or an app from your table. Your food will be brought to your table and empty plates will be taken away.
