The staff of friendly. The place is clean and tidy Great menu Quick Service. Reasonably priced.

Absolutely love this place but sadly it's very understaffed ATM so service isn't as impeccable as it used to be. Good hot hot at a great prices and what staff there is are very attentive to your needs.

Great family friendly place to come to, we loved that there were board games which customers could use. Kept my 2 little ones entertained. Also love that there is monthly events on, food and service was amazing, couldn't fault a thing. We love visiting and always have a pleasant time

Came in today for dinner with my kids we enjoyed our meals. Was served by waitress sian she was very attentive and polite.

Food and service good, it was a quiet Monday night so not much atmosphere in the pub but choice of tables and able to chat meant we had a brilliant night.

Very clean and staff available for any queries. Food was nice and hot.. which is always a plus!! Second time I have visited with a frond and enjoyed the easy menu. Kids also enjoyed the playground area.

The 80’s night was fab last night, Chloe and Rebecca behind the bar were wonderful and Dom serving us laughs and food will definitely be back for the next music night in feb cheers guys

Visited the venue last Friday around 6:30 in the evening with a friend of mine and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is very good and not the generic standard you get everywhere else. I had the chicken Kebab and my friend the pizza. We were served by a lovely young lady with long dark hair who was very cheery and pleasant. She made us feel welcomed and helped us with our choices as we hadn’t visited the venue before. I would definitely recommend and I’m looking forward to returning soon as there are many more things I want to try on the menu !

Visited without planning, late Friday evening. Popped in for some food with a friend, very happy with my experience. Food was lovely, I had the lasagna! Quick and hot. the waitress Sian was very quick and full of energy and attentiveness’s Even asked if we wanted any desserts.. I noticed the small children’s play area and pond, i will definitely be returning with the family again

Nice place. Plenty of parking. Clean enough. Small indoor play area and outdoor play park for the children. Also books and toys inside to take to the table. Food was hot and big portions with a good selection. Prices reasonable. Think most Marstons are the same. I like the chain because they are quite family friendly. Plenty of seating. Just a good little spot.

Came in on a sunday and the food was served quickly. Robbie and Becky on bar were very helpful when i had questions about my order, and Lauren running the food was very informative and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Over priced and poor atmosphere with limited menu options on a Sunday.

Lack of bar staff even when quiet, tables not cleared, we cleared our own, my confirmed reservation was ignored and we had to find another table, the toilets were not clean, muck on the floor, the urinals were dusty and a bit of a smell…

Staff weren't great, couldn't be bothered to make a coffee so told me the machine wasn't working even though it obviously was, excuse was we are only filling in while the real staff are at a party. Food was nice and delivered quickly but nothing special.

Popped in on the spur of the moment for a light lunch. It was clean, staff were friendly. Food was reasonably priced and reached our table without much of a delay. It was hot, my wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely be returning

Sorry but I was disappointed with my visit with friends. A table of 7. The pub was not busy at all. the young lady who served us didn't smile once whilst we was there. The food took quite a while to come but when it arrived most was good. The steaks were cooked well as directed but the sausage and mash was very disappointing. The mash was very waterey. We also wanted to order deserts but was told at 9.02 that the kitchen was closed so we were very disappointed. Will not visit again.

Came here a few days ago to catch up with friends, and I cannot fault this place one bit, amazing atmosphere, the staff on shift I belive to be jake and Robbie where amazing and nothing was to much to ask, the shots and cocktails where incredible. The food was brilliant thanks you to the head chef Chris for an great meal once again. Will be back very soon.

No roast potatoes on roast lamb, don’t think my 30% off mains voucher was properly applied as it cost £40.58 for two mains (roast and chicken burger), a pepsi and a coffee!

The food was excellent as always, the service was good all in all a very good experience

The Roast Turkey Dinner was superb and plentiful, the veggies were all cooked to my liking, I asked for more gravy and received a full gravy boat immediately. I eat here often and always find it friendly and welcoming.

Booked 2pm sitting Christmas Day. Arrived on time, didn't get shown to our table until 2.30pm. by 3.15pm we hadn't even got our starters so we left, Christmas lunch ruined. We had brought a relative with us for a Christmas day treat, he lives in a care home in Minster, Isle of Sheppey, where they all enjoyed a Christmas lunch, unlike our relative and the rest of our party!!

We visited the Mast and Rigging this afternoon with our toddler for the first time. The staff were all friendly and the pub was busy but it was a good atmosphere. Our starters were tasty and nice. For mains my hubby had scampi which was great. I had a sirloin which was the best steak I've had in awhile and my toddler enjoyed her chicken dippers meal. For puddings we had a lovely sponge with custard, apple crumble was delicious and lil one liked abit of ours and her strawberry and pineapple pieces. Only thing that might need alil love is maybe regular checks of the restroom area as we're potty training our lil one. We loved it overall and will be recommending to friends and returning in the future.

Liam & team were exceptional in their service.. Cldnt fault them..nothing was too much trouble... Will def come bk and recomend

Lovely food at a reasonable price. Ordering on the app is impersonal and always confuses my father-in-law about why he can't pay. He's in his 90s, so he hasn't ever owned a mobile phone.

Organised to have our work Christmas dinner here as their Christmas menu looked appealing. We were really disappointed when we arrived and were told we had to pre book for the Christmas dinner. The person on the door said she would normally have called to check, but she had been ill. This put a real damper on the evening. It was a real shame as we had been here before and everything was fine.

Sticky table!! Clean but varnish sticky. Steaks overdone for medium , so tough and dry! Starters of breaded mushrooms were good garlic bread very good and cauliflower was very tasty!

Works Christmas party Friday 6 December. The staff were very helpful and the food was nice.

They had run out of Sunday menu items and neglected to mention until I asked. I had tikka masala that was so watery it might as well have been served in a cup with a straw. Popadom coated in a thick layer of oil and a cold naan bread. Absolutely awful. Also ran out of full fat Pepsi and I was laughed at when I said I will not drink zero or diet.

The food ,drinks and service are excellent and I highly recommend the mast and rigging they catered for my family and we were a party of 8 people thanks to all the staff .

Shortage of staff to cover the demand meant significant delays. Both booking in and ordering and then serving. Was offered free dessert or drink which was nice gesture but we decided to politely decline and acknowledge the hard work the staff were doing under a lot of pressure.

Meet here with friends regularly. Family friendly with outside play area for children. There is no table service, so you need to order your food and drinks from the bar or an app from your table. Your food will be brought to your table and empty plates will be taken away.

Staff were great as always. Chloe and Jake couldn’t have been more helpful and Robbie was super welcoming. Food was excellent from Chris. Would recommend a visit!

It's always a pleasure to eat at the Mast & Rigging. The staff are all friendly and the food is always great. Will definitely keep coming back, and keep suggesting it to friends as a lunch / dinner option! Food is well priced and the inside and outside are always really clean and nice.

Food and service good, food was hot and tasty. Only issue was the toilet facilities, smelly and able to smell them from outside the toilet area, and not very clean. If I'd had a table next to them I would have requested another table or left!

Good Sunday meal, saving the trouble of home cooking

We had a good experience at The Mast and Rigging. The staff are friendly and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. The menu has a great variety, and each dish we ordered was delicious and well-prepared, from the starters to the main courses. You could tell they used fresh ingredients, and the portions were generous. Our meal was complemented by an excellent selection of drinks. We’ll definitely be returning – highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a warm, friendly atmosphere!

It's a great bar, good drink selection, great food. The reason for your low rating is because unfortunately, I come in around 7pm / 8pm when I finish work, and they are always in the process of begining to close. It's not a good look coming in and seeing the staff already trying to get the bar and floor closed down. Ruins the atmosphere. Sometimes. They even close at 9pm / 9:30pm - even if there's still a good amount of customers who are still buying. Can be frustrating. If this issue was rectified it would be a great joint that I'd recommend to everyone. But because of these issues, I do not. I instead inform them all that they close way too early.

Good food and a good pint of Pedigree can't fault anything there The two lads working front of house wete great they never seemed to stop and wete polite friendly,helpful and they got you served as quick as they could The only downside was that they were too busy to cope through no fault of their own they didn't have time to clear tables or tidy up.

Perfect classic pub scran. Good value and defo fills you up. Ice machine was broken but not to worry, it’s November. The young, short brown haired lad with the glasses made our quick meal perfect with his consistent professionalism. Would recommend!

I was in a party of 4 adults and 2 children, I ordered and the server asked if the children's meal was under 5's or over 5's, I stated over 5's. The food took over 45 minutes to come, one of the children's meal was an adults meal and the person bringing the food said that i had been charged for an adults meal, another order for an adult wasn't ordered and my burger was so overcooked it was burnt and the bun was over toasted, the other children's meal chicken strips were so overcooked and dry, it was impossible for her to cut. Very disappointed that I spent £83 for this service and quality of food. Also the table and chairs were so sticky it was disgusting. I certainly won't be coming here again or any other Marston branded restaurants.

Nice pub with a good atmosphere! Food is good too! Good selection of drinks. Recently took my nephew for his birthday meal and Chris kindly checked in with me to ensure the meal was all okay. Would defiantly recommend!

We arrived, and there was a kids' Halloween disco. It was really good to see the kids enjoying themselves allowing the the parents some time to eat. The staff were very friendly and there was no delay on the food

Staff all friendly and pleasant, good menu choices and value for money. Bar service slightly on the slow side. It was busy at the time of our visit so could really have done with 2 bar staff at all times to prevent the queues building up. However, when queues grew, it was noted and another staff member did appear so overall queue time wasn't too bad. We will be back!

I'm not sure how to describe this place. It calls itself a pub, or pub-resturant, on its website but then again McDonald's calls itself a restaurant. So, it's not a pub as most people use the word. It's a low budget restaurant with a bar, but not the sort of bar where locals gather over a few pints at the end of the working day. The website says it's 'a place soaked in maritime history ', except it really isn't. It's a modern Marston's estate venue, the sort of place inflicted on soulless new housing developments where people's aspirations aren't very high. That said, it suits its purpose for those not wanting to spend a fortune on a night out, or families with younger children that just want a break from reality. But, that doesn't mean it should be quite so drab and uninspiring. These places are all the same, like McDonald's, so you already know what you're going to get before you enter and if that's not your thing then go elsewhere. Sadly, I didn't have that luxury on this occasion but I was more disappointed than I anticipated. I asked what bitters they had on - these places always have Marston's own Pedigree bitter, but not tonight. 'We have IPA' I was informed, but that's not bitter. I can't remember what I opted for, which sums it up really. And a diet coke, please, only to be given Pepsi max instead, without telling me. Shouldn't really be a problem, but a friend has an adverse reaction to one of the ingredients in Pepsi max so she has to avoid it. Had the bar staff said they weren't giving me what I'd asked for it would have helped. And a straw, please, but they had none although I was informed they'd have some on Tuesday as if that might help. The food; overcooked burgers that were dry to the point of being inedible and sausage and mash which managed to taste of nothing. Bland and dreary really sums it up. You can call it going out, but staying home with a takeaway would have been a better option.

I always feel comfortable in the Mast & Rigging, it’s always welcoming and the staff are very friendly. It’s reasonably priced and has a good range of drinks and meals.

Came here for my brothers 18th and the staff were incredible. We were quite a big party and only one item of food had been put through incorrectly but was sorted out within 5 minutes. The food was lovely. No fault whatsoever. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for good food and drinks. Massive thank you to the staff Jake, Ollie, Tilly and Chloe for looking after us all and the chefs for how well everything was cooked.

Perfect. We could not have asked for more. The hot dog was lovely and the fries were superb. We eat out every day using Greene King but Marstons have thrown a bit of choice into our norm. Well, we have used The Mast & Rigging 3 times in one week. Great change of pub, food and scenery. Thanks to Tim, Dom & Tilly. Well done and thank you.

I was served by Robbie who was friendly and polite. He served me a with genuine smile and our order was in quickly. We took a seat and enjoyed a chat and our drinks and our food was brought over by Kat who again was polite, friendly and smiley. Nothing was too much bother, especially when my dip was missing. They came back with a big dip to make up for it. All in all a good service and would recommend to anyone I know

Mediocre at best. Fairly expensive for basic food. Fish finger sandwich with side of chips well over a tenner and extortionate for the basic quality...

Service was prompt and table was nicely reserved, especially love the Lilly Mango Cider, we had chicken strips and chicken Popcorn for starter and it came out piping hot with bbq sauce across the top. For mains we chose the southern fried chicken burger, which included hash brown, bacon, lettuce, cheese and bbq sauce which was yummy, served with chips, burger sauce and gravy. The meal was hot and very very tasty. We will definitely be coming back again, this is my 2nd time here in a month and it will be my regular go to place. Hot food, great starter and main washed down with a favourite drink and to top it all we got a nice little discount with the Blue Light Card. Thank you for a fabulous meal.
