Fave place to go for food and drink! Great service from Rebecca and Jake, and delicious salad made by Chris!

This pub has such an amazing vibe to it - and it has a real community spirit to it, too. The staff are amazingly cool and easy going. They will really go out of their way to accommodate any of your requests/ needs. The garden is a lovely space and you often forget its on a main A road. There's always water left for the dogs, and it's just a lovely place to spend time. The families always seem so content with the play area out there & the food isn't bad priced either - which at the moment - is a rarity.

A meal for two grandparents after a family day out at a adventure farm. Two courses, Macaroni cheese, Sausage & mash followed by crumble and trifle cheesecake. Only disappointment was the crumble had not been baked (fruit & topping added separately and heated). Polite, friendly staff, clean and light environment. Good value. Will use again.

Only popped in for a few drinks, got served by the wonderful Becky and Jake, who tempted me and my mates to stay for food, which was brilliant thanks to Chris and Liam who cooked us brilliant steaks and burgers! Amazing service will definitely be back soon, beer garden is lovely which is dog friendly with a little doggy station out.

Nothing special here I'm afraid

Found glass pieces outside where children were playing barefoot. Children outside were throwing a bicycle around almost hitting us with nobody from mast and rigging stepping in to maintain order. One worker has to constantly fish the ballpit balls from the nearby river due to kids throwing the balls over the fence without the staff addressing this issue with the parents. Out of control. Food was good but slightly overpriced for what it was. No control over the older kids hurting the younger kids on the jumping castle. Very poorly managed “family fun day”!

Slow service overcooked steaks, cold crusty chips pease are like bullets lucky my daughter didn't choke on them! Fish was raw in the middle returned it and was offered an alternative, lets hope we dont get food poisoning from it. Wouldn't hurt the staff to be a-bit more friendly and smile when delivering food or serving

Popped in today on a work visit. The place is fantastic inside and out, the food was really good and was reasonably priced. Plenty of seating inside and outside and an excellent selection of drinks. Good access for wheelchair users and child friendly. If you use the Carpark make sure you register the correct vehicle registration at reception so you can get the 4 hours free parking. Friendly staff and Military Discount accepted. It turns out that they have an ex military Breakfast Club every Saturday.

The stars are for the staff who were lovely. My friend and I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans. They arrived my friend had about 10 beans on her potato i didn't fare much better. Sent them back, was told they were doing a new order. We had at least 15 beans on this occasion and a bit of melted mild cheese. Wish I had taken a photo as the filling was minute. Won't be going back.

Robbie was great, friendly and prompt. Give that bloke a pay rise. Food was quite nice. Bit dark and dingy though, made me a bit sleepy but in good company so had a good time.

There were not enough staff on duty leading to lengthy delays. The staff themselves were attentive and helpful. I suspect the issue is penny pinching at senior levels to seek to maximise profits. This is, in my view, extremely short sighted given the pressure it puts on staff and the consequent impact on customers. Staff under pressure will not be operating at their best. It is for these reasons that I would be unlikely to make a recommendation. We used the ‘kids eat for £1’ offer only to find this does not extend to the dessert menu. I could find no reference in the T’s and C’s to this exclusion. This is at best disingenuous and at worst misleading. It does not leave the customer with a good impression.G

Fantastic food for reasonable prices. I used to like Beefeater, but the quality of the food and customer services dropped dramatically recently. This place really pleased me. Very friendly and supportive staff. You can order through the app from your table. They will still make a time to come and ask you if everything is OK. Also, they have come and double-checked the order. Family and dog friendly, with little playground for kids. Steaks were fantastic. We asked both to be medium rare, and they were done to perfection. 1 × Mac & Cheese with BBQ Pulled Pork £7.99 1 × Breaded Mushrooms (V)* £5.99 1 × Surf & Turf, 8oz Rump steak with x5 scampi - 3. Came here last night for my mums birthday, the bartenders Robbie and Chloe were nothing but nice. They were absolutely delightful and made my sex on the beach just perfect. Food and drink was lovely as always.

Came down yesterday the pub garden is the place to be, get amazing sun all day! Bec, had such great hospitality and gave us amazing recommendations on food and drink! The food was amazing thanks to chris for the amazing pizzas. Can't wait to be back.

Great afternoon for a few beers and a bite to eat after a long bike ride. Tilly provided amazing service and looked after us well. Would have like to stay for Country Night, but alas needed to get home. Maybe my comrades Dave and Dan will pop back in later. To the management, I played the cocktail game and won, Whoop whoop. However, may I suggest you change your signs to win a cocktail, not win a free cocktail as that would imply the game is free in itself. I was happy with my 2 x £1 investment for a long island 🥳🎉 but just a suggestion.

We visited for an impromptu lunch the food was lovely and very fresh and there was a good choice of drinks including zero as I can no longer drink alcohol the atmosphere was very calm and pleasant and so we're the staff I visited the toilet while we were there and all areas were very clean

Courteous and friendly bar staff. Good choice of food and drink. Food was tasty and well presented. Toilets were clean, in fact everywhere was clean. We didnt bring a dog, but thought the water bowls and treats that were outside for dogs were a good touch.

I ordered starters and main meals for my family but forgot to order my own main meal. Went back and explained and placed my main mean order. During eating our starters, my meal that I had added later then come out. I quickly said I haven’t finished my starter yet and the boy asked if I can just take it anyway. I said no because this would be cold once I was finished eating my starter. He got the hump with me and took it back to th kitchen. However when it then arrived back to the table it was as clear the same dish was just re microwaved as it was hot on the top but cold in the middle. Disappointed!

Food always good although steak was not cooked well done as asked was still bloody. There seemed to be a rather laid back approach by the guy that saw us in and scruffy dressed

Had sunday roast there very enjoyable

I had the chicken burger with bacon, cheese and hash browns. Soo good! Bun was just right, chips were lovely. Onion rings could have done with being a little crisper but that's my taste! Lovely staff as well and an outdoor play area if you have kids with you

Had a great meal at the Master and Rigging, Chatham and our server, Jake, was excellent.

Service was absolutely awful today. When ordering I was attended by the most sour faced bar person. No greeting no glimmer of a smile. I informed her my child had allergies and she didn't even respond until I'd told her what he wanted at which point she asked which allergy. No explanation of how ordering with allergies works. She had the absolute cheek to lean over the bar when the card machine was loading and press the 20% tip selection on the card machine which I was shocked by. She then walked away so I couldn't even change the option I either had to pay or stand there like a lemon waiting for her to come back. Kitchen staff were great and came out as there was an issue with the order for my son with allergies and they explained and we changed what was ordered. Food came quickly and was nice however no one came to check how it was or attended to us at all so god knows how they think a 20% tip was earned!!

Had lovely after work drinks with the work family. Jake was particularly helpful and his cocktail recipe ‘Strawberry Lace’ is awesome, very sweet but delicious! Great food and great atmosphere, we go every month for dinner and a few drinks!

We decided last minute to give the Mast and Rigging a try for a Sunday lunch, we were surprised at how easy the booking process was and the availability at such short notice. Service could have been a bit quick quicker but it was pretty busy on a hot and beautiful day. Overall a very good first impression

Nice place quiet but it was a Tuesday night . The food arrived promptly and was hot all most too hot good size potions and all arrived quickly after ordering from the app at the table The mains were just as good pipping hot with good size potions we have different things and everyone and agreed that it was excellent The staff were friendly and efficient The table was the only let down it’s was cut scufffed and marked with something also it looked battered plus it felt sticky not nice other tables looked ok

Great customer service! Not a long wait for food to be served to the table. Food was delicious as always! The staff were very helpful and polite. I brought a cake and candles and they kept it cool in the kitchen fridge and members of staff brought it out and also supplied us with plates for me and my family! Overall it is such a lovely place to go out to eat with your family and friends and I would definitely recommend!!
