We came the other day, on Sunday 3 of March, around 7pm for the first time after being recommended to go to check out the red room. It was my daughter’s birthday and we wanted to get a few drinks. The place was lovely but the whole experience was let down by the waiter, who served us. This young gentleman completely ruined our evening by showing no manners, and in fact we could describe him as being passive aggressive maniac. No sign of a smile or any welcoming emotions came from him towards the guests. This is supposed to be a high end place to visit and relax. He practically just snatched our drinks from our hands whilst I was still drinking. We never experienced anything like that before. We will not be back and we will make sure that our friends will not visit this hostile place.

Overpriced for what is essentially bistro food. Booked a special dining option through Open Table which should have included a glass of fizz and two courses in the Collins Room for £200 for two. Despite confirming with the Berkeley and OT The Collins Room had no record of the booking and we didn't get our special but that saved me £100. A lucky escape. The Collins Room is like eating in the hotel lounge. A nice lounge but not worth it IMHO.

Lunch at The Collins Room was so amazing. The staff really took care of my sister and I for our birthday lunch and even surprised us with a birthday message and sweet treats. The cocktails from the blue bar were so yummy and the ambience is beautiful! Such a pretty restaurant. The menu is pricey but so worth it and great for a yummy treat. Thank you much!

WOW! I was so impressed with the afternoon tea offering. All of the sandwiches were delicious, the deserts were great and had a fun story to go along, and the tea was wonderful as well. They replenish anything you like which I was not expecting... I wish I could have eaten more!! Service was great as well! I will recommend this place to everyone I know visiting London. It's a girls dream- very chic and worth dressing up for a stylish afternoon.

Simply amazing - food is excellent, interior stunning but most importantly the loveliest staff you will ever find. It's always a great experience dining there. You are always made to feel very welcome and special.

Overall good experience. The downsides are exorbitantly expensive drinks/ desserts and a very very limited menu choice.

We booked in the busy holiday period just before Christmas and wondered if this would affect our experience. However, we had a lovely set lunch with glass of champagne to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was lovely and the complementary fruit platter with birthday greeting was a nice added touch. Excellent value of £35 for three courses with a glass of champagne, bottle of water and bread basket included in the price. The service was pleasant but a little impersonal but overall would definitely recommend. The food was lovely and reasonable sized portions. However, the cost of sides at £7 a portion was a little steep, albeit nicely cooked vegetables.

Excellent dining room with quality furnishings and a real sense of sofistication. The bar opposite provides an excellent start/finish to the evening - lively and stylish. Starter excellent - crab dish with plenty of crab! Went for chicken as a main, whilst my girlfriend had veal. Both were slightly overcooked and seemed almost too much on the plate! Desert was superb - eaton mess and a fantastic toffee-ish sponge. Well worth visiting and a fun evening. Very accommodating staff - they allowed us to take up a table normally for 4 or 6!!! Friendly team.

The staff are fantastic, the food is good, though if you are a vegetarian and don't like mushrooms, avoid, as they were not prepared to do anything else other than the mushroom risotto on the menu. Strange for a hotel of this standing. The fizz was delicious though as were the olives and nuts pre-meal. Nice surroundings and would still recommend.

Purchased a £35 for 2 courses with champagne and water. 5 of us dined, great selection of all courses. The food itself was delicious and the service was incredible. We also had bread, olives and nuts included in the price! It really felt like exceptional value for money. I can't rave about this place enough......would 100% go again.

Five of us went on Monday following a carol service next door. Had booked the 2 course £29pp menu. Starters were tasty enough, veal main o.k., Shepherd's pie o.k., although the pie eating contingency all said it was bit rich & none finished it. The deal included a nice glass of bubbly but the food certainly wasn't anything special so it didn't feel like a treat or good value. We were sat by the door way, which seemed strange as it was half empty?! So felt a bit like we were given the spot reserved for the people on the deal/ blocking the draft from the other diners! The main entrance is just opposite and those sat at the end got a shiver of cold air every time it opened. Seemed ages before anyone came to take our order, but the waitress who did come was very pleasant. Most of us had been for the afternoon tea in the past & had enjoyed it, but certainly wouldn't recommend dinner, deal or no deal!! ; )

I enjoyed the experience the afternoon tea sandwiches were excellent. The cakes and biscuits were also very good.I didn't like the tasting spoons quite so much. The only criticism was the bill was incorrect but it was put right and we agreed beforehand about having plain sandwiches and we had to remind the waiter about this.

We very much enjoyed our dinner in the Caramel room. The food was excellent and plenty of choice in the set menu. The ambience was rather lacking as we were the only diners and this room feels like a lobby off the bar.

The Berkeley, London, was perfect in every way. The food was great and so was the service. Perhaps our only complaint was that the food was very rich but that was probably down to what we chose.

The food at the Caramel Room was excellent. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's lobster risotto was beautiful. Even the bottle of wine included in the £45 deal was very nice. Clearly the aperitif drinks were always going to be a little pricey (£15 for a G&T...), but there was pretty much zero atmos in the place on a Wednesday evening. Service was very friendly, but we could have done with a gap between starter and main courses.

I took my friend to The Caramel Room to celebrate her birthday with the 'Pret a Portea' afternoon tea. Service and presentation of the food (on Paul Smith tableware) was excellent. Our booking was officially for 2 hours however we ended up staying for almost 3. The highlight were the biscuits and petit fours - very delicate, subtly flavoured and beautifully made. A great place to celebrate a special occasion.

The Caramel Room - London. Impeccable service, and very good food. The room is more like a clubby bar with the window side "corridor" tables laid with table clothes. Therefore you have the feeling that you are having a bar snack - however the food is very good. The TT deal was available to all except the free bottle of wine with a choice of just one wine per white and red.

dinner at the caramel room at the berkeley through top table could be forgiven for not being as good as they give guests not on a deal, but it was sensational. well done.

To my surprise the Caramel room is the old lobby bar of the Berkeley hotel. Nicely decorated as before, the space is really not suited to intimate dining with the open connection to the hotel entrance. The staff were friendly but could use a bit more training. The food was good without setting the world alight: competent steak, lamb chops a touch overcooked, dessert a bit heavy. The £45 including wine made it good value, though.

Had dinner at the Caramel Room at The Berkeley for £45 per head and a bottle of wine. This is a good deal! Food was well prepared but nothing really spectacular or out of the ordinary. Ambiance was also average considering that The Berkeley is a 5-star luxury hotel. The best part is the service. They were good, asking us how we liked our food without being obtrusive. I would recommend.

Food was nice and well prepared but nothing really spectacular or interesting. The configuration of the restaurant was strange. They placed the tables diagonally next to ear other (like diagonal car parking spots). This doesn’t seem particularly interesting but it basically meant that I had my left ear stuck in the middle of someone else’s table and could hear every word they were saying. The service was average and cold. They lost our top table booking. For the money I would go elsewhere.

My friend and I attended on the toptable deal. We enjoyed the food a great deal - in my case beef carpaccio and a chicken supreme, with raspberry macaroons for dessert - and the house wine that accompanied the meal was excellent. We found the service most courteous. My only gripe would be that we didn't experience the breathtaking 'wow' factor with the food - every other ingredient was there.

i went to the caramel room at the berkeley hotel for the pret -a -portea afternoon tea for my sisters birthday. It was an amazing experience, nice surroundings and very good food! The thing i didnt know is that it was all you can eat and the staff are more than welcome to bring you more of anything you would like. In our case we had abit of a waiting time, realy we didnt notice, but they appologized immediately with a free flute of champage for both of us. MY FAVOURITE

You may have to leave your heart in San Francisco; but I'd leave my stomach in The Caramel Room within the Berkeley Hotel. This is a top-notch resturant with lots of VIP attention. I went in there after a rousing X-mas carol service at the nearby church (there were plenty of others in there too) and the menu has a nice selection of bites. Beers bit pricey at £6 a bottle though!

It all looks OK but service is poor and the bar food served is cheap frozen food at prices that should require a far better quality. There are far better options in London

I used to love this place, but haven't been for nearly 10 years. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed too much, but with the downside that it is now apparently owned by BrewDog. Luckily, it appears they let them continue without having to follow the "taproom by numbers" you get out of most BrewDog bars, so not only does it have it's own look, but there is a much more interesting selection of beers. It was easy enough to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon, which is always a bonus in a decent location like this.

Absolutamente basura. Fui y me senté.
