Red Lion Lounge in North Norfolk

Very disappointed. Unfortunately the Red Lion has gone down hill in the last few months. Not a great choice on the menu especially if you are not keen on burgers. The portions were small and you had to order fries as extras which made it quite expensive. Will not returning anytime soon if the menu remains the same. Such a shame.

A fantastic meal in here, GF had the dirty burger, and I had the fish and chips ,lovely tasty and plentiful, served by a charming young lady ,who's named we didn't get, she was attentive helpful ,and very knowledges about her job, fantastic job. Loved it there.

Made to feel very welcome here last night. Food was good. Service was excellent. Sophie and Tania ( hope that's the correct spelling) really looked after us. Can't praise these two ladies enough!

I had a soup of the day, the halloumi burger and fries. Enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Lovely friendly staff and poor food. Baked potato was done in the microwave. No butter just cheap derivative. Do you like your poached eggs solid? How about your toast burnt? This place used to do great food. I won't return.

Although it has been refurbished and does look nice. The staff are welcoming. It’s just the pricing, I mean ouch! £9.50 for a glass of presecco. I’ve paid less in a London airport. We decamped to Wetherspoons.

Had friends visiting and thought would give this a revisit ( under new management ) for lunch. Very pleasant light lunch upstairs with a good selection from sandwiches, "proper" smashed burgers and interesting set mains. Despite being in the Market Square, customers with dogs were welcomed inside downstairs even though there are outside tables and chairs. Food was tasty and easily sufficient portion sizes. Dining area thoughtfully laid out and my guests commented that the cloakrooms were spotless. Will be back, thank you.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Very good portions, well cooked food. I particularly liked the range of vegetables. Nice service. Pretty reasonable.

We came in admittedly just before closing, but we were not made to feel welcome at all. We only wanted a drink on the way home. I was not even told the price of my bill until after I had paid, I had to ask how much it was. We have given the Lion Lounge the benefit of the doubt before (we have been in and not acknowledged or served), but that's the last straw. They even brought in the tables from outside and collected all of the light from the tables inside before nine. We shall not return.

Excellent food, friendly staff they did everything to make your visit enjoyable. Environment was very clean, toilets were clean and fit for baby changing room.

Went for a pre Christmas meal with some friends. Atmosphere was wonderful the dining room was very Christmassy. Had the set menu which I can’t fault. The beef was so well cooked and so soft. The deserts were just as good, we had the chocolate tart with cherry ice cream , one of the best things I’ve tasted. They also had a nice selection of cocktails which we felt obliged to sample. Staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough for you and made it such a relaxing time.

This is an excellent restaurant. We just had dinner there today. The food was excellent. Plenty of choice of food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We went for dinner at the red lion and had the Christmas menu. The food was excellent .We were given a choice of starters,mains and desserts and every dish was tempting. The service by the girls was faultless they couldn’t do enough for us Would highly recommend dining at the red lion either for a lunchtime snack or a evening meal or even having a drink in the relaxing atmosphere well worth a visit

Really nice Sunday Roast here today with friends, all plates empty,and there was a vast choice of greens and cauliflower cheese. Sweets were very nice too Well done to the chef and to the staff serving us, great service.

This spot is great for a night out. Actually went here twice, first for lunch then for breakfast a few days later. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Good meal selection and drinks. For lunch we had steaks whiwere great. For breakfast we had eggs benedict again wonderful.
