Red Lion Inn in Scarborough

Enjoyed the atmosphere of this pub. The Thursday night fish and chip van and Friday pub quiz were great. Will definitely return. Thankyou you made our break in Yorkshire more enjoyable.

Went to watch football and for the Friday 9pm quiz. Wonderful friendly locals and staff. Had a great evening.

Friendly pub, very clean and well maintained, good selection of beers

We stayed for two nights in a room above the pub. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Check-in was easy, the gentleman explained everything and was very polite, and we left our keys in the bedroom door when we left. It was a perfect location for what we had planned that weekend too. Highly recommend it, I would definitely stay again.

My Wife was caught short and needed the loo when passing this pub. So we stopped and she went inside to use their facilities. Due to her embarrassment she felt she needed to buy something and tried to buy some peanuts, as we'd not had a drink there. A very rude Lady said "I'd rather you put some money in the charity box than buy peanuts if you're buying them so you can use the loo" This made my Wife very self conscious and feeling guilty about using their loo. The Lady reiterated her point about the charity box another two times to my Wife. How very unnecessary. Can't someone just use the toilet in a pub without having a guilt trip cast upon them. Shame on you Red Lion. Where is your hospitality?

Great local pub. Fantastic selection of drinks, all at the best prices. Fantastic atmosphere and great live entertainment. Highly recommend

Nice friendly atmosphere. A pub quiz was in progress when I arrived which was entertaining. Good pint !! Didn't have food.

Great little pub. Owner was amazingly friendly and great company. Managed to accommodate us last minute to stay the night. Would highly recommend and definitely will come back if I'm in the area.

Just back from few days away walked up to this pub a couple of times including last night new years eve , must say a very lovely welcome from landlord and landlady made us very welcome will definitely go again when next up there .

Great little stop off after a long walk

Nice little local pub. Reasonably priced drinks. Open fire. Friendly with various weekly events. Probably very cosy in the cold winter months. Recommended 👍👍👍

Great friendly pub. Staff are very friendly. We only had 1 drink as we didn't have very long in Scarborough . A quick ride through with friends . Nice atmosphere, comfy and chilled out .

Had a fantastic warm welcome here. Superb service from the staff, a wonderful place to watch football, chat and sample a few lovely beverages. A pub enmeshed in the heart of it’s community; as it should be! Would love to visit again.

Stopped here on our way home. Lovely little pub great outside seating. Had coffee and orange drink great prices and great service. Landlord bought my coffee outside so I wasn't waiting at the bar while it was made. Very thoughtful if him

Great to watch the women's football, good atmosphere, lovely staff.

Opened early to watch the football. Whole party of 10 was delighted - pints and/or tea and cake - perfect. Even the dogs were well catered for!

Bloody lovely pub. Welcoming owners. Couldn't do enough for us and our dogs. Very good pricing and lovely handpull beers!

Great village local. Plenty of seating and outside patio. Good range of drinks on offer including real ales. Accommodation is also available.

Good visit but not for menu as B&B/pub there's blacksmith pub down the road from here if u want lunch/evening meal and there's some walking from cloughton to hayburn wyke, ravenscar or toward Whitby and other way to Scarborough sea life centre or scalby mill for fish and chips if u fancy one

Recently refurbished and now smart and comfortable local pub. The friendly manager keeps a good pint, there is a beer garden and lots of parking. Well worth a visit.

Lovely staff and a great beer garden.

Lovely pub next to the bus stop. Super nice staff. A good place to wait for you bus if you got time. Or watch sports. They do nice ciders on tap.

Sunday night dominoes match. Very quiet but still a friendly atmosphere. Had a local hand pulled beer on that was on sing that night along with a choice if other keg beers and lagers.

Food is good and the booze is better. The staff and the atmosphere were relaxed and inviting definitely going again.

Lovely pint of real ale in a welcoming warming local boozer...

Had a great evening with Gary and the team on Saturday. Singer, comedian that night was an excellent end to a good day. Check out when there is an act on, would definitely recommend a visit.

Brilliant pub, Gary was helpful and informative about the beers, only had ossett blonde and flying Herbert from north Yorkshire brewing both excellent beers.

Really nice food with generous portion sizes. There's a separate bar area to keep the dining area quiet. Plenty of parking space, too.

Although a limited menu 100% perfection every visit guarenteed Meals to die for
