Have fantastic Quiz nights, especially on a Tuesday with Quizmaster Entertainment, but they have other quizzes as well, great atmosphere, everyone is very welcoming and staff are great especially GM Rachel, plus Caroline, Julie and Adele. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a night! So funny watching the landlady get pied! A great charity and yes I did donate. We only came for the quiz but got so much more, this pub is so welcoming we have been back multiple times since we first visited and always had a laugh. Great local, great staff and brilliant times! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great pub, its more than a pub, it's a social part of the community. Beer garden is nice and big, even when its busy theres outdoor chairs round the front and side so plenty places to sit and its dog driendly! Don't miss the rock n roll bingo on a Sunday and also the quiz on Tuesday, so much fun!

This has been my local pub for many years. Over time, we've seen some landlords, make no effort. However, Rachel (landlady) has made such a big impact on The Red Lion. It's evident, with her friendliness, determination and recreation - improvements have been made. Rachel has brought the customers back, like in the old days. There's a good vibe about it, and it's good to see a full pub on a weekend. Not forgetting the bar staff, they deliver excellent service appear happy in what they do and now the pub has a good ambience, like it use to be. Thank you Rachel to you and the team, its a pleasure to call in our local pub.

Wow what a great pub this is now! Brilliant night last night for the quiz, we didn't win but we had a laugh. The Quiz host Stu was funny and made us feel welcome. We will be back for the 80's music quiz next Tuesday and hopefully win something. Thanks to the staff for looking after us! Would highly recommend the Tuesday quiz to everyone.

Come here all of the time, the best pub for families! Our dog loves coming here and kids love it. Cash bingo from 2 and music bingo from 6 every Sunday are fantastic! Karaoke last Friday every month is great! Highly recommended!!!

Great for live sports , great range of draft beers . Pool table looked clean and good cloth , nice and clean pub and few tables outside to have a pint in the sun (if it ever comes out lol)

My local. Can be busy at times . Two sides to the pub with beer garden . One side for the young uns and one for the not so young. Typical pub

well, it looked a good n busy pub with plenty of customers going in and some sat outside on benches..i didn't go in the pub so i can't comment on more..i did however break down right outside as i was driving past and had two hours to observe the comings and goings of the pub while i waited for the RAC man..

Great pub for both adults and also has a large beer garden for children and dogs. Just wish I.lived closer

I've not been in this pub since I was young free and single, (40 years lol ), it's to me, a proper pub not like the bars down town. The staff are really welcoming especially Kian, (if that's spelt right), an outstanding young man, and very friendly. I will definitely visit again.

Staff are great, always cheery and quick service. All staff always do a good job, new manager is on top of everything and improving the pub daily, Kian is always polite and always smiling, same with Adele and Sally. Would 100% recommend this to everyone

To say this is local to me I haven't been in so thought I would nip in for a few. The pub itself was clean the staff was very friendly especially kian nothing was too much trouble and enjoyed a nice chat. My overall experience was a pleasant one some pubs you can feel out of place but the new Inn was welcoming and friendly and I will definitely nip in when passing.

What an absolute gem of a pub. Great atmosphere, new landlady really nice and the pub offers a great choice of beers, yound lad Kian is a great barman and asset to have there, always happy to help, and what a brilliant sense of humour and banter he has... Brilliant night, a proper local.

Been visiting the red lion on a weekend now for a while, the pubs definitely gotten busier! Sometimes the staff seem to be struggling (especially this last weekend!) but they’re always smiling and polite when serving me. The DJ plays some good music there’s always people up dancing. I always recommend to my friends we start our night at the lion before getting the tram to town! Great pub!

I would like to thank the staff at the red lion for giving my dad a brilliant send off, even after the fact that the few dripping cakes and butties that I brought in for some of the guests were taken away and disposed, this did not ruin the day, he loved this pub and was a regular for 56 years, I look forward to carry on in this pub in his memory, I wish to apologizes for the food and putting the staff in an awkward position, thanks again to all the lovely staff and their hard work.... Fantastic team, love you all xxxxx

I often ask myself ‘do i expect too much from pub grub?’ but given the feel of the place post refurb and coupled with how the menu presents I did await our meals with an air of above average expectation. Sadly the food wasn’t exciting,...

This pub is a very clicky place, made us feel very uncomfortable. Took ages to get served in the tap room, I think they forget there are 2 sides. The prices for a pub like this are very expensive. I don't rate the landlord (Alan)...

Great atmosphere friendly staff

The location itself is fine. It's a spacious enough pub. The only downside is one of the staff members hates Irish folk and makes it well known. Will be avoiding this place in future. Your job is to pour drinks, not get political.

Good local pub owned by Greene King. Usually quite busy on an evening. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Always something going on with various quizzes, bingo, pool nights, live music etc - check their website for a list of whats on. Live sports shown on the TV. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Called in last Saturday after Blades game great atmosphere and good beer thanks.

Great pub with screens everywhere for sport plus front and rear beer gardens. Lots of comfortable seating and nice toilets as well. No vaping allowed, which is a shame. Maybe could just advise people not to take the mick with it and consider others. Not a deal breaker, though. Will pop in again.

Since new landlord has taken over it's become a joke excuse after excuse! Feel sorry for the regulars it's become an absolute disaster....... don't make plans for a Thursday quiz the pub will only end up letting you down. SHOCKING!

Good pub with a great drinks and a lively atmosphere in the back. Only downside was that the speakers for the DJ are bang next to a table in the back and when the place is full and your only options are to either stand or to sit at the table where you can't hear yourself think you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place

No happy customer was only there 30mins cost me £110 this was for parking in there car park, was not aware of the ipad to put your reg number on. Very dissapointed.
