Absolutely disgraceful customer service and food wasn't great either, warm and tasted salty

Genuine Chinese food by Chinese cook, it's really fried for the sake of fried rice!

Absolutely disgusting, lukewarm food at best, hard plastic found in one dish, stale crackers, terrible customer service, wouldn't give them a single star but had to put one to leave a review, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!

Very delicious food. I mean, best Chinese I've ever tasted. I had the duck fried rice, Thai red curry(spicy) and bbq ribs and oh my God!!! I do not have great expectations of take out restruants so I only stopped by because it was on the way home and I didn't feel like cooking but the first bite of the curry had my eyes closing.. I don't think I can explain the excitement of getting take out food that's so good as I only eat good food😂, and so most times I have to cook myself. I'll very highly recommend and let you find out for yourself. It also came with complimentary prawn crackers and the portions are going to feed two adults. Great quality, great quantity 👌. P. S the food was so good I forgot to take photos. And I have second portions for another full meal. Spent only £17.60 on 3 different dishes. You can't beat that can ya!?

Really rate this Chinese. It’s our local. Been to elsewhere in Dover but not as good as here. Always hot and delicious.

ordered food, food delivered COLD, phone to complain, offered a replacement meal, on going to the shop was told only a 10% discount, disgusting service no customer care at all, DONT USE.

We have always had Chinese from here,and very nice but the last few times it's not upto standard, it was dry, and no flavour also we are 2 min away for delivery only reason we didn't collect is we had our grandson it was stone cold we will not be using them again

Best Chinese I've had for a very long time.

This is the worst Chinese meal i have had chicken balls over cook and the pork curry didn't have enough sauce in it and it was just about warm enough to try some

I always get excited to place an order on a Friday after work! The roast pork chow mein is the best! My favourite part is seeing Brian pull up outside with a big smile on his face! Food always piping hot thanks to his swift driving.

Lovely food as usual from red house. Best Chinese in Dover. Beef in black bean sauce is amazing. Brian I always tip him because he’s the fastest driver out of all of them and never fails to put a smile on my face so thankyou Brian and thanks red house for amazing food.

Short wait for food, which we ordered instore. Food was lovely as always. Portion sizes are good too.

Prawn crackers like eating plastic, so old. Food small portion, taste is bland. I recommend new kong sing up Folkestone Road for a good Chinese. Not here, waste of money for sure.

I wondered if had changed hands as the girl who took the call didn't have a clue what she was doing. Couldn't seem to take note of order or card details to pay. Told us 45 mins so having a night worker waiting to eat was ok at the time we ordered. We'll over an hour later and no food so rsng up and the same girl answered and said they were very busy and would be even longer as he had taken multiple orders with him.I wasn't impressed about lieing about the time otherwise I would have gone elsewhere due to the shift situation. The food was cold on arrival and pots of sauce had leaked all through the bags. For 5 of us it came to £65 which for a Chinese takeaway is diabolical. Shame oasis was shut as they are much more reliable and cheaper and overall better service.

I absolutely love red house. Me and my partner ordered our usual and wow the chicken balls were perfect, I'd definitely recommend them. Brian as usual early with delivery, efficiently polite and a tad crazy haha but that's what makes him Brian. Keep up the good work red house !

This is by far the best Chinese take-away in Dover. My husband and I have been getting our take-aways here for many years, back when it was called Luscious. The staff are friendly and efficient and deliveries are prompt. The food is tasty, well cooked and the portions are generous for a fair price. On busy days can take a little time to get through on the phone but this just goes to show how popular they are. It is well worth the wait!

The food wasn’t great - we also had upset stomachs the day after eating here! Won’t be eating here again!

Worst Chinese takeaway in Dover I guess. Ordered food two and Half hours ago but not yet delivered.

Absolutely terrible service. Taken nearly two hours to arrive and after roughly 40 attempted phone calls I'm still getting no answer. Possibly the worst Chinese in Dover. Edit: turns out they were being raised by immigration services. Smh.

Ordered on Christmas Eve, came to £70, through Uber, phoned the restaurant after an hour and they said the order will be with us within 40 minutes (we understood they would be quite busy so sat tight), 50 minutes go by so we rang again to find out that it will be another 40 40 minute later to be told that the order hasn’t even been sent to the kitchen and they’re 2 hours behind on deliveries, they asked if we would like to cancel the order or wait and we opted to cancel the order, they said they will contact Uber and we will receive a refund, we still haven’t received a refund so contacted Uber. Turns out that this dreadful restaurant has told Uber that it got delivered, when we actually never received it, after cancelling the order I walked to the golden river in river, Dover, the exact same order was £32 compared to the £70 at this absolute circus, food was amazing and I got it within 30 minutes of ordering! This restaurant needs to realise what it can handle, not over order and be greedy, effectively stealing money from customers.

Wow What a pleasant surprise,. Ordered a takeaway from Uber eats, and the Red House was the only restaurant that delivered to Kingsdown… We are on a long weekend away by the coast, tucked right away by the golf course, and as it was the only restaurant that would Deliver, we were not expecting much, and doubted that the driver would even be able to find the property…. So firstly, kudos to the driver as he went all out and delivered the food in good time and piping hot… As for the Red House, we have tried over 20 Chinese restaurant on Uber eats where we live, and not one of them was even close to the outstanding food we got from the Red House in Dover… Tasty Tasty Tasty….. Well done all, a well deserved 5 Stars…

We have started using this place instead of another we have used for over 20 years. First 2 experiences were good but this weeks wasn't kept us waiting for 120mins lady is rude and don't care on the phone. My order went out with 3 others for delivery and was cold not a good way to spend 40 pound on food won't use again should have paid half or nothing

Really gone down hill. Complained that the food wasn't cooked I.e prawn balls batter was doughy. Meat was rubbery. Told I would get a call back to dicuss, never happened. Used to be my go to but not any more

We had a large family party today and the food we ordered was first class . Delivered at exactly the time required piping hot , delicious , free bottle of coke and the cherry on top a free dish , what a fabulous service . Will have no hesitation in using again , thank you Red House for a great dinner party

What has happened to the Red House? Have always loved their food. Ordered soup, curry and prawn chow mein two nights ago and it was so disappointing. Tasted strange and we didn't eat much of it. Won't be using them again.

Been using The Red House for about 7 years and never a bad meal,had one delivered last night anf it was possibly the worst Chinese I have ever had,tastless and dry,will now have to go elsewhere.

Must have recently been taken over had two meals from here both very different to previous meals and not enjoyable at all. Will not be using this take away again

Popped down from London to visit relatives and tried mussels in black bean sauce with a special fried rice and loved it.

Once again Red House you have done yourself proud! Such a lovely meal we're now all so full we can hardly move :) Thankyou! x

Best Chinese food in Dover. The dish is perfectly cooked. Very delicious. It is the only place I would order from. Recommend Singapore rice noodle and salt pepper dishes. Definitely will come again.

OK ish, delivery bang on time, phone order polite although was charged more than the menu states on their page, disappointed food was warm certainly not hot and batter on chicken balls soft felt like they'd been cooked a while ago , was edible but disappointing , probably won't go back

Wow amazing best Chinese we have had in a while. Super fast delivery and found our little castle no problem.

I have to say the quality of the food is good, but the woman that works the desk is incredibly rude, and this wasn’t an isolated incident either. The way she has behaved and spoken to me as a customer was disgusting and enough to stop me ever going there again.

Ordered a few times and keep coming back! Found my new favourite chinese in dover and I normally go to yummys. Everything is always fresh and hot, never had any complaints and have always been happy with what I've received. The salt and pepper chicken is so good 👌 Highly recommend

A local Chinese takeaway that chops- ticks the boxrs

Got there about 615 on a Sunday - everything was obviously cooked fresh from scratch so really good. Never had a dodgy takeaway yet.

The foods reasonable but skip the home delivery. Their delivery drivers never seem to be able to find our home, how hard can it be? We've used the home delivery 3 times now and they've been late every time. It's not like we live in the Himalayas, surely every professional driver has a Satnav these days! Tonight the driver was 45 minutes late! The food was stone cold when he finally got to us and he had an attitude to boot when we said it was cold... He drove off! When we called Red House back they said they'd send him back when he finished his other deliveries. We'd ordered an hour and a half earlier.... No thanks!
