Fabulous food and excellent customer service nothing was to much for them expecially from Kate will definitely be going back

I've visited this pub on a number of occasions when visiting Wales. There is always a warm welcome from all the staff, owners and the locals. My friend and I ate in here twice after walking in the area. The food is homely, with good portion size and no rip off prices. I recommend the Chinese mushroom curry with a prawn cocktail starter. Great selection of ale, normally brewed locally. I'll be back

It’s one of those local little pubs that when you walk in you find everyone looks at you. Difficulty in entering the pub due to someone sitting right behind the door, felt each time I went in I had to apologise (we were outside with the dogs). Ordered drinks, given an absolutely filthy glass for the can of Coke, half our party decided they didn’t want to eat there on the strength of the glass !! Having said all that the bar staff seemed friendly enough.

Welcomed in after a very wet walk to lovely a open fire. I had the lamb shank for lunch which I would recommend, and the service was great. Very nice pub.

Amazing pub. Ended up here for lunch with a large group of friends following a extremely wet walk. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us to dry out. Food and drink was top notch. Just a lovely pub.

A group of us stopped here for lunch on Saturday after a very wet walk. It was an awesome stop off with a warm fire, good food and beer. Most importantly, very welcoming staff who couldn't have been more helpful to a group of wet and tired walkers.

This ia a lovely country pub, in a beautiful spot in the Brecon Beacons National Park.It has so much character about it, with a roaring open fire, and so cosy. Yes its old fashioned but in a lovely rustic way .You always feel so welcome here and staff are so pleasant, Food is lovely here, especially after a long walk in the beautiful area. fabulous chips and steak and ale pie, great price as well, Big thanks to the lovely lady Mandy who served us, she was so courteous, and made us feel so welcome. will def return

Gorgeous pub that we first heard about when it was featured on Wales Online. We had just been to the Brecon Mountain Railway and knew that The Red Cow was nearby. We went for drinks but decided to have some food as well. The food was excellent! The chips were lush! All homemade and just really really good! We did wait a while for the food but that was fine as we were happy sitting outside in the sun with our drinks. Came home and recommended to my Auntie straight away! We will be back!

I had steak and ale pie, topping anaemic pale on the pie. Chips tasted appalling few peas, tasted of gravy mixture. Though steak meat good. When I went to pay no Internet connection led to queue waiting manager had to give me their bank details so I could transfer money. With one glass of wine came to £17.95 not good value for money considering chips were bad.

Popped in before going to the Brecon Mountain Railway. Currently sitting here enjoying a delicious pint of Wye Valley. Had spicy prawns and chicken on skewers. Nicely cooked and very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
