Well what a great Dinner, we had the buffet 😋 AMAZING 👏. fOOD WAS SO GOOD, sorry couldn't eat it all & had to take it home. Will be back very soon.

Staff are ignorant & don’t care . Attitude is shocking…. Don’t recommend, although the food is reasonable standard & for a couple unenjoyable . I said to my partner I didn’t like the restaurant & she picked up why I didn’t within 5 minutes of being there . The attitude of the staff is shocking & for the life of me , I do not understand why people can rate this establishment. Most certainly won’t be going back again !

Popped in for a curry on a Tuesday night, which is normally a quiet night but the place was heaving. Add to that that the food was excellent. 5 stars

Food was of average quality. Starter was average - onion bhaji too stodgy in middle. (To much garam flour) Main again just average. The price of soft drinks is stupid!! £4.50 for 1/2 lime soda !!!! When challenged them on drinks prices they just laughed. Overall experience poor and won't return

What has happened? Been a customer of Red Chillies almost since it opened. Used to be the best Indian in the area by a long way. Things have been slipping for a while but my recent visit will be the last. A chilly almost empty restaurant, surly, quite unpleasant waiter, long wait for food which was more sauce than meat, tried to order another drink but waiters pretended not to notice Very sad.

After reading other reviews we thought we give this restaurant a go. We were not disappointed. Close to our hotel which was also a bonus. Welcome very good and service excellent throughout our visit. Food and variety brilliant, spoilt for choice however we went for a few specialties on menu. One of the best Indian restaurants we have visited. You won’t be disappointed

First time here as I’m new to the area Came in at 6pm not crowded but a few tables taken Pleasant staff looked after me I had a very good lamb madras and saag aloo with pilau rice my go to meal at any new restaurant I try Beautiful dishes I will definitely be returning

Restaurant serving very good food and have a big range of meals but service is horrible. Booked a table and get a flat coca cola so we have asked waiter for a coke from the glass bottles, he came with the same drinks which tasted like a coloured sparkling water so we have asked waiter again and he said it is from the bottle which was a lie, he took drinks in very rude manner. Another waiter told us they don't have a glass bottles where we seen it on the table next to us and just a minute ago another one said something opposite... so this end up to order different drinks but the manner of the staff was very awful... probably won't coming there again. There were only one young waiter who was polite and help us with everything else after anothers rude behaviour! Thanks to him..

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! If I could give 0 stars I would. Honestly if you are looking at reviews and think I’ll give it a try DO NOT!!!! The worst food I have ever eaten. Delivery time was 1 hour 10 mins (that’s fine considering it was Saturday and probably busy) however once food arrived every single item was freezing cold. We called to get a refund and they said they didn’t believe me (first time ordering) why would I lie ?? Told me they would call me back later as they are busy but not to busy to take the payment over the phone when ordering?? Honestly would never order from here again and the customer service is terrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS INDIAN TAKEAWAY!!!

This should really be a 5 star review but due to staff not adhering to covid rules it has to be a 3. The quality of food saved it from being a 1. Staff started off with the masks on but shortly after opening they either had the masks on with their nose exposed, hanging from their chins leaving the mouth exposed as well or just hanging around their necks. I did remind them about this and one look shocked and another pulled it up then as he walked away pulled it straight back down. Now onto what this review should be about is the food which definitely did not disappoint. We had the £11.95 offer which is on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. This consists of any starter, any main, any side dish and either rice or naan bread. The food came out hot and tasted really nice. We left with most of our mains and rice as we were full after poppadoms and starters. The portion sizes were bug to say the least. Excellent value for money. The food was finished off with a complimentary drink. As said the face masks aside this would easily be 5 stars

Have been visiting for many years with my family and the food is always great and service really friendly. We have a mixture of tastes in the family (some like things hot and spicy, others not so much) and red chilli always pleases everyone. The special banquet nights are amazing value for money but even without these prices are reasonable and the food is great.

Service was outstanding,very welcoming... Made us feel at home, especially when they brought the candle out for a romantic date night, had the special banquet on a Sunday for £11.95,bargain must I add, I had the bagala chicken for starters, and a n chicken naga for main, very hot but I love hot food, but what a taste sensation 👌🏻 My partner in crime had the shami kebab for starter,Great tasting too Finished it if with a mixed grill(benny Hill) Unbelievable!! Must go here... Boss Indian restaurant that I've been too.. 5 stars with out doubt.

Just had a takeaway delivery from Red Chilli, Luton. Telephoned it through really easily, quoted 50 mins, actually took just over 60 (wasn’t in a rush), delivery driver great as we’re dealing with Covid19, knocked door left delivery. All good. Food was really good, hot and fresh , and so delicious. Thankyou Red Chilli, for great service and great food. Keep up the good work and keep safe. Thankyou for making our day brighter.

Second visit this year and food and service excellent on both occasions. Tuesday / Wednesday evening special offers adding great value too. Looking forward to visiting again soon

The service was terrible we ordered a spicy dish it was not spicy we told the manager and said we ordered the wrong dish and it was our fault he was not polite at all or understanding and said some times it happens

Ottima cucina indiana in un bell'ambiente, confortevole ed elegante, non sempre scontato nei ristoranti indiani in UK. Servizio attento e cortese. Ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo (50GBP in due, mangiando a sazietà, bevande incluse). A fine pasto, extra gratuiti di spicchi di arancia, cioccolatini e cognac. Molto raccomandato.

Good food and service. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was cooked perfectly and packed full of flavour. Great selection of dips served with you pappadums and they offer gourmet nights every Tuesday and Wednesday. Mixed kebab starter was so good and came it’s an onion bajhi which is not something you usually get but was lovely. The main courses wer delicious the lamb biriyano was so tasty and the meat just emlted in my mouth. The garlic chicken curry hubby had was also very nice, creamy and cooked well. The portions were decent sizes and there was more than enough to take home to enjoy later which we did. Only been hear once but would definitely go again. No parking but easy to park in town and walk to restaurant.

I was in town for a training course and visited on recommendation. I was lucky enough to discover that there was a deal on so starter, main, side dish and rice or naan was just £10.95. Lovely food and friendly service so I would happily eat there again

Disgusting the way we were treated dealing with ppl that drink alcohol rather than us when they eventually came to take our order I asked if there was any currys with out milk i.e. Dairy with that the person taking the order ridiculed me and told me to go for the salad then I said just serve my husband he turned around and served the other table disgusting behaviour professionally and personally never go there again

I've been coming to Red Chilli for a number of years and I'm always welcomed like an old friend. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decor and the staff are pleasant and attentive. I've always found the food consistently good with lovely flavours which aren't too overpowering. I've also entertained friends here and they have enjoyed it as well.

When I came in, I was greeted nicely and I was presented to a lovely table. It was a full house in the restaurant. The service and the food were absolutely on point. I received my food in time while it was very busy. I will be back with my family next month to this exact restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to bring their family to a lovely dinner.

Very comfortable restaurant close to the town centre, friendly staff, nice surroundings. Well prepared curry, rice and poppadoms, the meals can be adapted to your taste. The only negative for me were the extremely greasy onion bhajis, so greasy that I couldn't finish them. However, very good overall.

The food here was to die for! The garlic Naan is done to perfection, so is the Garlic & Cheese Naan, nice and buttery just how I wanted it! I ordered a selection of curries which were delicious, perfect in flavour/taste/colour & spice. We were given a plate of oranges at the end of the meal & some chocolate which was a bonus & lastly when leaving my friends and I were each given a flower. Delicious curry house! Best Indian in Luton & not over priced!

Have had many good visits here but in previous years, but the last couple of visits here one particular waiter was disinterested and seemed to want to be somewhere else & seemed most unwelcoming, but we only had him for part of the evening 1st time.

This was my first visit and I can’t praise it highly enough. The service was excellent and the food superb. Can’t fault it in any way and would recommend a visit.

I looked at this restaurant reviews and decided to Try it , it took 40mins for my starter to arrive and to my surprise the chicken tikka was lukewarm and when I complained the guy said to me it’s cold because of the cold sauce on the side! and he snatched it and took it away. Looked like they placed it in MW and brought it back ! I do not mind waiting for my food if it’s of a good quality! My main meal took sometime to be served too. It was not too bad but chicken quality was suspicious, as it did not taste fresh.

Always a bizzy little place. Better to book in advance if there is more than two of you.

After six you can park on the yellow lines, if lucky in front of the restaurant.On arrival we were greeted pleasantly and shown our table. Ordered two papadums.Six small dishes accompanied it. The yellow one on the photo is one of them, I have never seen that. It id powdered coconut scrapings, carrot, sugar and other spices. Absolutely beautiful I ordered tiger prawns and my wife ordered prawn cocktail. We both were very pleased. Big portions. Wife ordered trout. Full fish came but was hidden with salad. Slightly over cooked but she loved it. See photo 2. I ordered chicken Tikka. Unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. This restaurant is not spicy hot. About 90% of diners were non Asian. Desert was selection of Ice creams. I loved it but wife said too sweet. We were given wet towels and orange slices with their complements. we were also given small fruit drinks. Usual chocolates came with the bill. As we were leaving wife was given a single red carnation. Overall very good. Big portions. Average or slightly cheaper for this type of restaurants when compared to London suburbs. Slightly long wait between dishes but it helped to work up a good appetite. Will visit again when in this area. Recommended

My Friends had the worst meal at this place last night (02/02/19). All the curries was tasteless, no flavour, no authenticity. Full of canned tomatoes and tomatoe purée. All curries looks the same,

I eat here every time I visit Luton. For the first time I have never been served by such a rude waiter as I have experienced tonight, so much so I cancelled my order. Rude and only when I said I didn’t want a meal I received an apology. It saddens me to say if this is how this place has gone avoid if this one a one off then try because normally this place is excellent. Just a shame about the experience tonight.

Never been disappointed. Always travel pack for our top meal. The menu is extensive but not restriptive as the will usually adjust to your requirements. That often includes gluten and lactose free.

Really enjoyed my visit to this excellent restaurant whilst staying in the area this week. Very comfortable surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. They were very willing to adapt any dish to suit individual needs, it's a long time since I have eaten such excellent Indian food. Will definitely be back.

Visited with two of my family. Had starters and mains. All were excellent and the service friendly. Recommended.

My usual favourite Luton location for a curry. I try something different each visit as my normal favourite Tikka Massala here has too much coconut for my palette. This visit I had the Lamb Tawa Gosth along with a garlic bread and it was perfect accompanied by a bottle of Cobra. Service is great, staff are very helpful, so I would definitely recommend. Enjoy.

Having visited this restaurant 6-7 times a year for the last 10 years when visiting parents who live in Luton I now concur with the other latest reviews that this place should be avoided. The food is at best nothing more than average and the service I can only describe as terrible. It’s a shame to see a restaurant deteriorate so badly. Last night will be my last ever visit.

This started so well. If you'd have asked me a few months ago, I would've given this restaurant 5 stars. It truly made me fall in love with Indian Food. But it all went downhill from there...

Dined here solo tonight. Very limited interaction with restaurant personnel and mediocre food. Always order the same food and this food was mediocre. No opportunity to give feedback. How is your food sir never happened. Food hot, as I like it, but bland. Perhaps restaurant have a no salt policy for health reasons. Tasted bland. They do use fresh ingredients though! Wouldn’t choose to dine here again. Nice venue and very busy tonight. What do they know that I don’t is my long lasting impression of this restaurant. I liked the fresh oranges and they were very good. A shame that the food wasn’t on the same par. Perhaps I was unlucky?

I visited here with some friends as it’s near to work. The food was really good as was the service. Plenty to choose from on the menu so all in all a nice place to eat. We will definitely be returning.

Popped along here to see if anything had changed from when I visited last year as my friends and I were looking for Indian food for lunch. The advertised Sunday opening is 12pm-2.30pm on their website, I walked into the restaurant with my friends at 1.10pm and the open sign was lit up. When I walked in a scruffy waiter in hoody and joggers asked us what we were doing there in a rude tone, we asked for a table for 3 and he said that he closes in 30 minutes. We mentioned that the opening times said until 2.30pm but he didn’t care. He treated myself and my friends like an inconvenience not customers. We walked back out and went to papa j’s where we had a lovely meal with friendly service. Don’t waste your time and money in this place, the staff are always so rude and do not know how to treat customers, staff could do with customer service training to get rid of their unnecessary attitudes, this is a restaurant in Luton not a snooty 5 star Michelin restaurant.

Had a great evening curry here, my first time in the Red Chilli. Staff were pleasant and friendly, good selection of beer including Goa gluten free, if that's your thing! Really good menu catering for all tastes and the food does not disappoint, very good sized portions and really tasty. I had the chicken dopiaza and was one of the best I've had, all five of us had something different and all enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I eat here often... Food is always hot tasty and presented nicely. Service has always been very good and the extra touches of a flower and complimentary drink at the end of your meal is nice. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are more than enough for even the heartiest odd appetites.

We arrived quite late on a Monday evening, it was quiet. They accommodated us no problem. The staff were very nice, we had a bit of a laugh. The food was quick, which was good because we're hungry, the food was very nice. Everyone commentated on how nice the meat was. The meals were cooked really well, the rice was light and fluffy. Toward the end we got talking to the owner and the other staff, it was nice.Would recommend

Restaurant was large enough to hold our large party of colleagues for a farewell meal. Restaurant owners didn't mind us tying up a good luck banner for a colleague. We stayed there till late and staff were patient with our rowdy group. I enjoyed the plentiful feast but had to ask for a container to take my leftover food home!The staff were very accommodating and gave quite a few of us containers so that we could re-live the culnerary experience later in the home.

I was pretty excited to visit this restaurant after reading the reviews in google. But I was totally disappointed. Me and friends entered the restaurant and the guy who saw us instead of greeting us asked us rudely "what". I asked him we need food. Then he was like "then why are you sitting here. Come and take the order at the till. I got angry and asked him if this is the hospitality you give to people who come here? And he replied" if you want you eat or get lost" I was shocked by his reply. The staff either was trying to ruinthe business purposely or they had some other wrong intention. There were only two staffs. We were totally disappointed and left the place.

Had arranged a meal here for my Dad's birthday. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in meeting any requests made to ensure it was special for him & the rest of the family! There was a fantastic atmosphere and even though it was a full house that evening, we didn't have to wait too long for the food to be served and each dish was very tasty indeed! Would definitely book up again.

I can say that I am very familiar with Indian food and for this place I can say it was not bad at all. You can try different options from Indian cousin and enjoy the spicy food. Garlic cheese nan was also one of the very nice things that I had. Service was ok and it is easy to reach the place. Price are ok for this nice place.

I been there quite a few times food is ok but every time we been there the staff are always rude and give us attitude, when I asking about the banquet or about a dish etc they always grumpy and miserable, last night me and a few guys went there and we had a table by the door and felt the cold wind as people walking through the door so we politely ask if we can change tables but they refuse even tho there were loads of free tables and said they were all booked even tho it nearly 10pm so we decided to go to RAJ Indian restaurant next door instead which the service was second to none, didn't know why we didn't go there from the beginning, food was nice and the portions are great and they even let you choose prawns in the banquet

Looks nice from outside, quick and nice service, but the food tastes like Tesco's basic, music playing too loud, no hot water/towels/ working hand dryer in men's toilet, menu overpriced. Kebab place on the other side of the street is much better.

Todo muy sabroso y con un servicio impecable. Una cerveza cobra con un plata principal, arroz y nan por unos 20 euros. Muy recomendable, el sabor de todo es excepcional. El sitio no es muy grande y a primera vista no parece lo que realmente te espera al entrar. Volveré.

We always use the Red Chilli if we are not sure what to eat or where to go. Our last visit was extra special as it was for our daughters 3rd birthday (her choice when asked where to go "I want to go to the CHILLI") They treated her extra special and even made her a mild curry to help get her use to it which she loved and ate the lot.The food is extremely good and is always fresh to order. The staff are very attentive and are a credit to the management.They are very welcoming and we intent to continue using them well into the future.

Whilst staying in Luton we ventured out to find a Indian restaurant and came across the Red Chilli and what a find, starters excellent, mains very tasty and superb garlic nans. The free after dinner spirits were a lovely surprise and a rose for my partner and daughters when we left was a lovely touch. Great service and great food.

Not just fab food with wonderful ingredients and exotic flavours - this is a restaurant that goes the extra mile. Complimentary drinks and super service made it easy to see why the place was full of customers. I only wish we lived closer. £12.95 for a bottle of Hardy's Shiraz by the way? Bargainous!!!!!

Once again the Red Chill delivers. This is my go to Indian in Luton where ever we have an Indian locally or further afield we always compare it with here. From their starters through the mains and rice to their sides and breads their is nothing to fault just pure enjoyment.

We were doing a park and stay in Luton before our holiday and the hotel recommended this restaurant, my Husband is very fussy but he enjoyed the food so much we returned on our way home from our holiday whilst we were still in the area. I love my curry hot but on the first occasion it was just a little too much, which was not a problem as they brought me some yogurt to cool it down, on our second visit I had the same meal but just asked for it to be a little cooler and it was perfect. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the price was exceptional. Wish it was closer to Northampton.

We love this Indian and have been going for years. The food is consistently good and we have never had a bad meal. We particularly like the fish curry. The menu is well priced. We very much like the staff who are always kind and friendly. The only down side is the toilets which are not well ventilated.

I seldom give negative reviews of restaurants as I am a firm believer of counting your blessings for the food put in front of you. However, I was very disappointed with the food at Red Chilli. We ordered Onion bhaji and tandoori lamb chops for starters. The presentation of the food was great but the onion bhaji was simply a giant ball of shredded onion with no seasoning. The lamb chops need to be marinated in tandoori paste overnight to soak in the flavour. For mains we ordered the chicken jalfrezi and the tawa lamb gosht, with a chapati, nan and tandoori roti. The jalfrezi was had far too many chillies in it so we ordered raita to cool it down. The tawa lamb gosht had a nice sauce but the lamb didn't have any flavour from the sauce. The service was good.

On arrival we were not greeted and the staff pointed to the waiting area assuming they meant take a seat! This was our first visit and already it hadn't kicked off to a great start. So after a few minutes we followed the grumpy waiter to the table he didn't explain how the banquet night works or asked if we'd been before, he just walked off. We still thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt and sample the food! But in actually fact wished we hadn't as it was nothing to rant and rave about! When the food came to the table the waiter didn't say which dish was which and just plonked it down. When paying they didn't bring the change back so when i asked where it was the waiter assumed it was his tip. I informed him I wouldn't be tipping as your service has been awful and I complained! The waiter replied with "so we have other customers" they generally weren't bothered the waiters walked around with no smiles were rude made no conversation and just weren't bothered. Will never return, much better Indian restaurants out there honestly!

Up there with my old time favourite indian restaurant in Brick Lane.Impressed by the pappadoms and chutneys (particularly the orange-coloured coconut flaky one).Bhaji and starters were good and so were mains. This is my go to restaurant in Luton. Love the spices and the specials. We often ask the staff for something off menu and are rarely refused and never disappointed. The staff are amazingly friendly and remember us always. This is our local and our litmus; we always ask is it better than the Red Chilli when we eat out at another Indian, ie last night at Chilli Bar in St. Albans, and the answer is always no.

I have eaten here before and know that their curries are on the hot side of I deliberately ordered a Balti. I couldn't eat it, it's was too much and I'm usually a Madras girl. I don't see the point of heating all sauces up to the point of tastelessness. Saying that the staff are very nice and the place is pleasant. Maybe this was just a super chilli chef night but I just couldn't enjoy it.

It's very nice place for a night out .. Excellent service , however I am a big fan of Indian food and it was not at all close to Indian taste .. I had been so many actual Indian restaurants through out different countries and this was least I liked, Visit was more about Drinks and Service , Hence I would rate Average. Worth a single visit..

I lived in Luton for 4 years and often came here. The staff would remember me and I often took different people with me. They are very friendly. I love the food and always had a great meal. They always give a free chocolate and flower at me of meal. I am gutted I can't come here any more but would highly recommend it.

Came here for the first time on a very busy Saturday night. Never thought we would get a table but agreed to wait and see if one became available.20mins wait only and we were seated. Plenty of friendly, helpful staff made this a really nice experience and the food did not disappoint either. All dishes, unusual some of them too, arrived piping hot and in good quantity. Really nice personal touch offered to finish the evening too.Now my Indian of choice in Luton

If you want to try the best in Indian cuisine it's probably fair to say you'd have to go to India to sample it. Well, no need. Save yourself the airfair and head staright down to The Red Chili. W've been dining here for over 8 years and not found a rival to it yet. There is a great value and extensive menu and when you see the place has Indian people eating there then you know it's good. Great value for money and great service too. We'll be back very soon.
