Readymoney Beach Shop in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Lovely little shop on the cove. Staff were friendly and helpful and the prices are good considering it’s the only place there. The kids loved the themed hot chocolate and we were impressed with the returnable cups. They also work hard to look after the toilets (a thankless job - I never understand the state people think it’s ok to leave public toilets in)

What a super find. Little bit of a dreary day and went for a hot drink. Lovely coffee, super friendly lady in the very cute shop. Lots of sweet goodies that looked delicious. Lovely chatty locals going for a dip. Shame didn’t get chance to get back.

What a fantastic wee shop. The sausage rolls are delicious. Also had several coffees and rented a body board. The collection of souvenirs is lovely and thoughtful and of good quality, and also reasonably priced, not the usual holiday 'tat'. Service was friendly. Great.

The best place to go in Fowey!!! Readymoney cove is such a beautiful place to visit, it was the first time we visited and we fell in love with it. The shop is amazing with lots of great gifts, beach accessories, cards and also wonderful prints (which we now have up in our house). The coffee is fantastic and the cake is delicious and even though is was late September we couldn’t resist an ice cream. If you are staying in Fowey or just doing a day trip this place is a must visit. All the staff in the shop we met throughout the week where so welcoming and kind we would highly recommend popping in. Can’t wait to come back.

This is such a hidden gem in Cornwall. A stunning little beach tucked away but relatively easy to access. The shop has a fantastic selection of snacks and coffees, keepsakes and gifts to buy and they use reusable cups which saves on waste. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, we can’t wait to come back again each year when we visit.

Whenever we visit Fowey we always make a point of also walking out to Readymoney Cove where we call in to the Beach Shop to pick up a takeaway tea to go with our packed lunch. The little shop crams a lot into a small space, and the staff are always friendly.

Been to the cove a few times and always pop into the shop. Always a great place to get a oggy ( pasty to others ) and a drink. Great gifts and helpful staff, its 5 stars all the way. Its a little gem in a larger gem.....

Staying in Fowey, it’s a lovely walk to Readymoney cove, with the little gem that is the beach shop at the end of it. How can so much be crammed into such a small space? The staff are lovely, the hot drinks very welcoming on a chilly day, and the ice creams delicious on a hot one! The toilets are clean and well supplied. The location is beautiful.

What a great place with great women serving. Free toilets though donations welcome. Great little beach shop with beautiful local gifts. Plenty of cakes, ice cream and pasties but we had recently had breakfast so didn’t try any of the tempting delights Tea and coffee served in proper cups which are returned to a yellow bin after use Please use this service, it’s fantastic

Loved this little shop. We visited twice during our hols. Gifts, refreshments,water for dogs&doggy bags and beach essentials. Our kids really liked the availability to hire boards for £2! Great idea as unless you are very organised with one of those beach cart thingy's then just the job for buckets&spades etc. The owners/staff are very friendly&helpful.

We loved our time here, sandy beach, some stones leading up to water edge, forest/coastal walk, small shop serving tea/coffee in returnable cups👍 Nice, well portioned ice creams, benches on upper level to watch out to sea, Unisex toilets(2) NO parking allowed so disabled may have issues as quite a steep hill climb Almost perfect? Can you raise the temperature of the water😉

Run by some very helpful ladies, the Readymoney beach shop it a delight. Readymoney being the name of the adjacent sandy cove, and the shop is just perched at the top of the slipway there. The shop is well stocked and has some lovely cakes and sandwiches, as well as suntan lotions, reading materials and mementoes. With seating and toilets nearby, this is a very happy place to visit - and great ice cream too !

Super Friendly, Clealy cares passionate about the environment, Tea, hot chocolate, pasties and sasuage rolls were all perfect. lovely selection of beach gifts, amazing views. Very clean toilets for a beech venue. Please don't tell everyone about this amazing little secret. We will be back in September - Mavrick.

When walking along the Coast Path out of Fowey this is a convenient spot to stop. The little shop sells a selection of drinks and snacks to take away, and a small selection of gifts. There is seating nearby, some under cover, and also toilets.

We stumbled across this on a walk. Lovely to find a great coffee and more on this pretty beach. You can sit in the beach shelter if its raining (which is was) and watch the brave swimmers heading off for a swim in the January waves!

This is a lovely little cafe that serves very generous portions of ice cream. The cove here really is a hidden gem and is worth the 1/2 mile walk from the car park. A very relaxing place in yhe sun.

Went to readymoney beach, a short walk from Fowey, for a quick dip and warmed up with a cup of coffee from this cute beach shop. A nice woman called Mary was serving great coffee and cakes and there was a good range of walking books and small gifts too. Definitely worth a visit and a great addition to the beach.

Lovely to be able to get a delicious coffee by the beach during our morning hike, the cafe is a little gem, we enjoyed our chat with the lady behind the counter who was delightful.

The shop is what readymoney cove needed, this outstanding shop serves beautiful local roasted coffee, ice cream and food, with an emphasis on local cornish fare, gifts etc & has a great emphasis on green, reusable policies. The owner and workers have always been polite, courteous and professional everytime. Even when dealing with Covid19 restrictions put in place, visited in september and ordered online many times. Cant wait to visit again this September when visiting family. A must pitstop for when frequenting Fowey.

We’ve visited this cafe three times in the last year and three times we’ve encountered a very rude, aggressive lady behind the counter. It can’t be a coincidence that this has happened repeatedly, the lady in question needs to read her own signs and be more pleasant to her customers. We’ve walked out every time so we’ll take our custom elsewhere, there are plenty of smiling, courteous cafe owners who will welcome our custom.

Lovely friendly beach kiosk serving very welcome hot drinks,homemade cake, ice cream and small souvenirs. So handy to be able to have coffee without trekking all the way back to town, especially after a bracing October swim.. They also maintain the loo for beachgoers and walkers free of charge. Fantastic local service.

After a long coastal walk this was a welcome sight, it’s brightly coloured beach wares signalling a place to stop for refreshments! Although only a tiny shop it is stocked with locally made goodies, interesting art in the form of cards and gifts, and delicious cakes to accompany our much needed cup of tea. Clearly with an eye to looking after the environment cups were reusable , buckets/spades made from recycled plastic were available too. Covid measures were clear and adhered to. Well worth a stop off!

The shop is small but exceedingly well-stocked and very convenient. The ice cream was doled out in very generous portions and it was absolutely delicious! Sat on the benches around the corner from the shop and enjoyed a lazy morning watching dogs chasing up and down the beach. Delightful

Went to visit on 27th Sept. Assistant in shop was very friendly. Covid measures were good. Remarked on how she loved my Scottish accent. Returned on 1st October again very friendly. Well done on keeping going

Readymoney Cove is a small but lovely beach, made all the better by the excellent service and drinks in the beach shop. I had decaf coffee, and my friend had the special hot chocolate. Both lovely! They come in a reusable plastic mug if you are planning to drink at the cove. Ice creams looked excellent and the quality of the trinkets, gifts etc in the shop were far better than most beach shops. The lady serving was friendly and helpful. A hidden gem in Fowey.

Went down to this cove and had a takeaway coffee from here. The lady who runs it was very friendly a nice pit stop for refreshments and brilliant views.

We popped in for a hot chocolate on Saturday morning. Hand sanitiser is provided and there is very clear signage regarding mask wearing and keeping social distance. I was greeted by a lovely chap and he made us a couple of great hot chocolates with marshmallows and cream - well we were on our way back from a walk so deserved a treat - thanks very much to the Readymoney Beach Shop Team for great service.

Wonderful little shop selling all the beach necessities and better too they're often locally sourced or eco friendly. The staff are friendly, despite the current situation. Perfect for a post swim or walk coffee and cake with a wonderful view.

We have been visiting Readymoney Cove for many years now. We thought it was perfect and didn’t need anything else but we were wrong. The Readymoney Beach Shop has been a fabulous addition to the beach. The responsible owner and her amazing team do a fantastic job and do everything possible to keep us safe in these strange times. The shop has lots of wonderful locally sourced trinkets and gifts. The ice cream selection is amazing and the sundaes are to die for. We had great service today. Although the beach was busy (still able to socially distance as plenty of space when the tide is out) and the queue was longer than usual, it was worth the wait. The staff were very helpful and made the best ice cream sundae for my little boy. We will definitely be back! 23rd August 3.45pm

All ways a pleasure to stop for a hot drink after a walk across Aldays Fields, great to find that the toilets have been kept open by owners.

Having visited numerous times over the years a walk from Par round the cliffs ended in a wind up at Readymoney ship. From the minute we stepped inside the teenage high five giggling and joking pair without saying hello rudely told me to put my mask on properly, fair enough but continued to disrespectfully lay it on, after a muck up with my card I was left feeling embarrassed, was told to leave the coffees inside whilst transferring money, made it look like I was having it away with their mugs! anyway looks like there should be an adult present to supervise your staff. Sunday 23rd August @ 4pm.

Really well managed shop right by the beach. Great tea, hot chocolate & ice-creams. They've made a big effort with the beach stuff (toys, wetsuits, etc) and they even had a beach wheelchair (fat tyres) for use.

Nice coffee and ice cream place right next to the beach.The place is tiny though and we had to queue quite a bit before it was our turn. I can only hope that on busy days there is more than one person working behind the counter.

Stopped here after a coastal walk from Par. Good coffee, hot chocolate and 2/3 home made cakes on offer. I had the choc brownie which was delicious. It was a cold day so didn't try the ice cream, but this looked good. Lots of other stuff to buy packed into the tiny space and well worth a visit. Pleased it is staying open throughout the winter!

We have used this beach many times and a decent shop had been lacking , now there is one. decent quality snacks and drinks in this great location.

The beach shop at Readymoney cove is a real draw and brings people to the area. Service is friendly and a good selection of drinks and snacks alongside most things you need on the beach.

After the walk from Readymoney Cove carpark we fortified ourselves here before tackling the steps to St Catharines Castle. Snacks, drinks and small gifts are available and all are reasonably priced. The lady who served us was very friendly and patiently answered our questions about the area. If she reads this, I am sorry, I confused Saunders and French with Julie Walters and Victoria Wood.

We recently stopped at readymoney beach for a short break while out walking. We purchased an ice cream each which was made with real cornish cream and they were lovely. The staff in the kiosk were very cheery , despite being busy , which was nice as some people get quite ratty when under pressure. My wife used the bathroom and said it was one of the cleanest she had come across.

When I didn’t think I could love Readymoney Cove any more, I now do! - thanks to you! Being my favourite childhood beach, I now naturally take my son there, who now loves it just as much, and your little shop there has just made it even more enjoyable and so easy to keep us fed and watered the whole day whilst we enjoy the beach and sea. There is everything you could want in there and more :) We love it. Thank you :)

Walked down to Readymoney beach after a day out at Mevagissey. Busy with families on the beach and in the sea. The cafe staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Stopped for a drink and snack and seemed reasonable.

We went very early to Readymoney Cove before the shop was open for the day. By the time we had been for an early swim the shop was open. Wow! What a fantastic shop! The lady serving was absolutely lovely, really friendly and made us some superb coffee. The shop is crammed full of useful and unusual things and the fact that they have also taken over the running of the public toilets shows how public spirited (and sensibly business minded!) they are. We were made to feel so welcome and the cakes were amazing! (And a big thank you for making sure I got a Beatrix Potter 50p in my change!)

The family had lovely coffee and cakes from this lovely little cafe and shop on the beach at Readymoney. The coffee was good and made strong for me and the cakes were yummy. They also sell gifts, ice creams and all the usual beach must haves.

Spent the day here on the beach with family and toddlers! This cafe has a captive market and is exploiting it! First disappointment was we all had coffee which was expensive, luke warm and half full! But gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned to buy ice creams for us all! At £2.50 a scoop we asked if we could have two 1/2 scoops for the 4 year old and 2 year old and was told that the owner said under no circumstances that they were able to accommodate a request such as this! After a discussion with a rude female, I high lighted the cold coffee incident! She asked if we were local to which we replied that we spend a lot of time here in the holidays! She said if we were local it would only cost £1 per scoop! This is outrageous that they feel they can rip off holiday makers and be so rude and un accommodating! I have suggested that my guests/friends now go to the beach with their own lunches/drinks etc when staying in my home! Other cafes and shops in fowey have been friendly and accommodating! It’s a lovely little cove but not welcoming to know we are being ripped off!!!

Well-designed and imaginatively fitted-out, tiny little shop selling well-selected gifts/treats and proper Lavazza coffee. Tasty pasties too! Such a pleasant change from usual tacky seaside kiosks. Very friendly service. Deserves to prosper!
