3 of us had lunch here. We all chose something different and each dish was great. Everything was lovely and fresh. The soup was homemade with a generous portion of bread. The sandwich from the specials was accompanied by two types of salad as was the sausage roll. The service was efficient and friendly too. I highly recommend.

Turned up on a Saturday at 12.45. One sausage roll and Covent Garden soup (one type). It was such a pity because we came on advice of Tripadvisor on way to Fritton Lake and to be greeted with practically no food? The sausage roll looked outdated. And I am sorry but the place needed a good clean

Lovely little find; very accommodating, nice and spacious for pram access with a range of dairy/gluten free options also should you need this. Contactless/Apple Pay accepted too so couldn’t be easier to have a nice little cake break with the family. Very reasonably priced and children’s toys available to keep them entertained.

Loved the Waveney sculpture trail...such variety of art and sculpture displayed in a beautiful outdoor setting and stopped off part way through for ice creams at this lovely little cafe. Would happily return for lunch and a coffee.

My friends found this gorgeous hidden gem and told me I must go. A friend and I went for lunch on Saturday. With ample car parking on arrival. You walk inside its got that lovely warm homely feeling. You get a smile from the staff as soon as you walk in. It's all laid out lovely with higher chairs for the older generation. It's a place I will take my parents as my Mum needs higher chairs to get in and out of. There is a good choice on the menu to cater for everyone. A children's area to keep them occupied. The food is lovely and just the right amount. I can highly recommend the brie and bacon panini was lovely. Nice bacon not mostly fat. Loved having a look around the shops after. There is nothing not to love about this hidden gem. I highly recommend it for all generations. Thank you to the staff. We will be visiting again.

This place is charmingly retro and different. The staff are great and friendly and the breakfasts veggie and not at 6 quid a go are great. Massive pots of tea and there’s 70’s second hand China to buy and a great rug and second hand clothes shop off the side. Cyclists and dog owners are welcome and it’s a really genuine place which is worth a visit in a lovely country side area.Mach.

We visited the sculpture trail and so coffee & scones were just what we need to fuel our artistic exploration. The cakes were tempting, but the scones won - large, fruity and served with lots of butter & jam. It was a warm afternoon too, so we could enjoy them sitting outside in the sun. Very English food in a delightfully English setting.

'Where shall we meet for brunch now the children are back at school?' Obvious choice 'The Ravenous Cafe again of course'. Another lovely brunch/lunch meeting, we started with coffee outside and moved inside to our booked table for our food. As always, totally delicious, and thanks to Rachel (or hostess with the mostess) for the great service, she looked after us very well indeed. See you all again soon

Great food and cakes, there's a small table of toys and books which help parents to have an enjoyable visit. Good high chairs (by that I mean not the useless wooden ones you get everywhere). Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Jenny and I almost stumbled on this on a cycle ride in the South Broads - not even mentioned in our route guide. Excellent nosh: we turned the tempting-sounding all-day breakfast (just too big!) and went for the home-made pea and mint soup with great doorsteps of fresh brown bread and butter - delicious. Cappuccinos to follow were beautifully-presented but quite strong: good for me, a bit too much for Jenny. There's a nice ambience and some huge and striking embroidery wall hangings on display too, and the staff are dead friendly. Well worth tracking this down.

Pleasant surroundings but woefully short staffed and a very limited menu. Fine for a coffee but the cakes looked rather dry and there were no scones on view at all. All a bit amateurish.

This is a wonderful friendly place to visit, it is not just a cafe, it is an antiques show room, art exhibition, vintage clothes store and genuine eastern prayer rug store. Look out for their antiques boot fair, art boot fair, or any other special weekend they put on.Wander around the Elizabethan farm house buildings and grounds looking at all things antique, whilst enjoying good coffee, food and home made cakes.Look out for the open Mike nights as well.

We live nearby and often wander down to the cafe to grab a breakfast or light lunch just because it's not home (and doesn't have the stresses of home) but has that homely feeling. You can completely be yourself here with sofas, tables and chairs and space for active for kids. Come as you are and chill out for an hour or two with those you care about with good homemade cheap food and amazing cakes. Combine it with a wander around the centre with a visit to the kite maker in her sewing barn, the clockmaker, Hobbies, the tiling barn, the charming rug centre and the Patchwork Cow selling excellent value second hand nursery equipment/toys. Don't expect 'avant garde' cuisine or a massive menu but do expect down time with locals and visitors alike. It's that kind of place and well worth supporting.

So glad we stopped here on Friday morning after visiting Patchwork Cow. We were attracted by the gorgeous smell of cooking bacon. A quirky little cafe with very friendly staff we ordered bacon sandwiches and cups of tea. the sandwiches were delicious thick fluffy fresh white bread and very tasty Crosby back bacon. Good quality English Breakfast and Earl Grey teas. The cafe is surrounded by vintage clothes, we picked a few bargains ! All in all super stop off which I would highly recommend and I will certainly be repeating. thank you x

Went for breakfast this morning with my wife and daughter. Very friendly place with plenty of space and good seating inside and out. All our breakfasts were very good and had fresh local ingredients. The bacon was especially good. The food arrived quite quickly along with a pot of tea and a good cappuccino. once we had finished eating we ordered more drinks and sat for a while as we felt unhurried. We will go back soon.

This gem is off the beaten track but well worth a detour off the A146 or if visiting nearby Beccles. The cafe is in a converted barn and serves up excellent value tea and coffee and delicious home made cakes and pastries. The ambience is laid back, lots of sofas, well spaced tables and relaxed setting. On our visit there was veg, honey and herbs for sale. Check out their website as there are numerous events, which provide additional interest. Service was excellent and friendly.

We came on 14/10/24 for a family wake. Mandy and Simon did an amazing job of making the room welcoming and accommodating us with all our wishes. The service and food were of excellent quality with a very fair price and there was plenty for all. It was so nice that even the cakes were iced in the favourite colours of our late family member, not requested but we felt was such a lovely added touch. Thank you Mandy and Simon, we would definitely recommend you.

Found the cafe purely by accident, on the High Street, stopping in Loddon for something to do on a rather autumnal day. You will find it near to the take away and funeral services, but don't let that deter you...So glad we popped in! Wide choice of cakes and some savouries, including vegan and/or gluten free. Huge pot of tea! Pretty tea room, very well equipped single toilet. Family affair, mother and two daughters bake everything on site. Long chat with lovely Lisa, so enthusiastic about their business. We only tasted a quiche and blackberry cake, but goodness, so delicious, and if a hint of other produce from their fine hands, well worth a further visit or cake order. Apparently mum Julie runs craft classes upstairs too.. talented family. We wish you continued success and will hopefully see you next holiday.
