Just being clear I am not judging the food quality but the pricing and discounts offered. I received earlier in the year a letter with a voucher for a 25% discount, stating in the first T&C it was valid for an "order to be placed via phone or online". The online method has no place to type the code, so I called. The man on the phone said the online prices already had "the discount", so told me to order there. I was suspicious, so I said I would order then online and went to check. For instance, for the tandoori king prawn: Printed menu: £18.25 Online menu: £16.60 That is approx. a 12.3% discount, about half of the 25% discount they claim in the voucher which would mean a £13.7-ish price point. While errors may happen and I am aware of the low profit margins in the food industry, this feels quite misleading; I have included pictures in my review for reference. I would urge the owners to be honest in the discounts they are able to offer, and that they are more transparent in that regard.

From my experience, I’m always treated very well while there. Good food, good people and very relaxed. If you like halal foods and shisha, I would recommend coming here. Thankyou guys for your service 😊

I've been here few times now and can say that their food is nice and fresh. The naan bread was so delicious, felt like completely fresh, just for me. Staff is amazing and welcoming, can't blame the place and also toilet was surprisingly clean 🙏🏻 Thank you for great experience 🙏🏻❤️

Absolutely terrible customer service!!! They deserve 0 stars!!! They made a mistake in our order and they said it was our fault because of our accent!!! They were shouting at us without even apologising!!! They even refused to give us refund!!!

Came here lured in by the poster offering off 25% between 5pm - 11pm. Arrived near 9pm on Bank Holiday Monday and it's quiet with calm atmosphere. Clean. The staff are nice enough. We're not experts on Indian cuisine nor are we fussy. But I think the food did had that taste from a chef who knows about balancing flavours. We ordered: 2 x Pilau rice 1 x lamb karahi 1 x chicken dansak 1 x chickpea and spinach side dish 1 x vegetable stuffed paratha We liked that the meat was properly cooked and I particularly enjoyed the balance of sweetness and spiciness of the dhansak. Overall we enjoyed Ranna and would come back again if we are craving Indian food. If you haven't yet, give this place a try. If coming by car, free parking on Oakley Place (?) Monday to Friday after 6.30pm. Free all day on Sat and Sundays.

We have been using Ranna Indian as our go to takeaway Indian for about 4 years now. Honestly, one of the best takeaway Indians we have tried. The flavours and quality are simply amazing. If you love a good, cheeky Indian takeaway, this is the place to order from!

Only had takeaway so can't comment on atmosphere. Seriously the best Indian I've ever had in England. (I'm a white Englishman so have never had authentic Indian food). I've ordered from here both when I was vegetarian and when I went back to meat. They will substitute any meat dish for quorn which many don't offer. Cooked perfectly. Special mention for their Massala sauce. No idea what they do different but it's levels above. Am ordering from there again tomorrow. Look out for 'Chris from Bermondsey' 😅

I've tried various Indian take aways and even mild dishes too hot for me ,but I've had two meals from Ranna - both throughly enjoyable . The 2nd with 20% discount so even better!

We have eaten here a few times, both in the day and the evening. There are 2 different menus, one for the day (breakfasts, sandwiches etc.) and one in the evening (Indian). We have eaten from both menus and the food has been great from each. The servive is always very friendly.

Food was okish but too expensive. Less quantity. Not an ideal place

The chicken dansak I had was inedible as the chicken tasted tough and old. Straight in the bin and won't use them again.

Affordable Indian food that is very delicious.

The food is very bland. I ordered a stuffed paratha and it tasted awful, the aloo gobi was very bland no taste at all.. The lamb Bhuna just tasted like normal lamb curry

I bought a chicken biriyani it was very dried and not fresh at all I use to order from this place before but I will never again that’s why it’s not busy anymore

Ordered from here for the first time last night. Food was incredible! I’m new to the area and was very skeptical about ordering but I have 0 complaints! Ashamed to admit but I’m currently ordering another meal tonight, too good not to!

This is a restaurant me and my partner ran across randomly and didn’t even realise it offered not only Indian cuisine but also other bits and pieces. This restaurant is truly AMAZING. This is both me and my partners favourite Indian restaurant by far and have recommended it to many people because of how great the food quality, quantity and how lovely the staff are. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Hi first of all,I apologize as I always forget to review this particular restaurant.We visit this restaurant time to time,as we are local.We love their breakfast,it is hard to find a nice halal breakfast around this area,their classic breakfast and waffle wonder is our favourite.The service is excellent and they always treat people with respect. They also do lots of Indian dishes for dinner,we been there once for dinner and love that chef recommend biryani and chicken shaslick was great. We highly recommend this restaurant if you guys love some good food and lovely friendly customer service.

I always remind myself not to eat here but give them the benefit in the hope that one day our food will go without a hitch. I mean to cook a breakfast isn't rocket science, yet they make it more complicated than necessary. A complete disaster, cold, hard toast, eggs so small they do not look real. The chairs are so stained and unclean they need replacing or a deep clean. The staff are helpful but everything takes ages to get to you. Not to mention the price you pay for your food one didn't enjoy, yet they never offer a discount or anything complementary. Well suffice to say we will not be eating hear again.

Incorrect items many many times. Which ruins the experience and doesn’t compensate why you order a meal in the first place. I’ve had enough! The staff was also very rude! The customer is always right not the staff.

Started the day with a warm, satiating, delicious English breakfast at this family friendly local cafe - served with a smile :D Ranna also have an exceptional Indian menu and their food is like no other. I am definitely a fan 👍

This will be my first review ever because you guys really need to do better. Firstly the waitress at the till was the only nice person and despite the fact that she seemed new she was the only person that had good customer service. The food was okay but there’s no reason why a basic English breakfast should take 45 mins to be prepared, 2 tables were served before myself and I clearly arrived sooner. The place was also freezing and considering the time of the year it makes no sense. Lastly they were clearly understaffed hence the eternal wait, I also saw a man walk out in frustration after waiting for a good amount of time without being served. All I have to say is do better it’s 2022 for God sake!! So much for trying to “support your local business”.

This is a really nice restaurant. The staff is polite. The manager is helpful and polite too. The food quality and quantity is good. The tandoori rotis were good. The Channa bhuna masala was nice and medium spicy. If you like sweet curry then you can even have Channa masala as a vegan alternative.The paneer tikka starterwas good but quantity was less. They have good veg , vegan and non veg food options🍽🍛. They deliver in nearby areas. COVID measures are followed. 😷Entrance is wheelchair accessible.♿

Delicious take away, the chicken is cooked really nicely and the flavours and spices are great. I’ve ordered from Ranna many times and they never disappoint. The men who take the order and deliver are always really polite too. One thing that could change is using more environmentally friendly packaging, rather than plastic.

The food I've had from here is delicious. In the past few weeks i have ordered the same dishes several times and I must say i have enjoyed the food thoroughly without complaint 😁

Via Uber. Not such a fan of the tandoori, or side salad, however although biryani was not as I was expecting it was very good, and best samosas for a long time. Unfamiliar but tasty prawn fried thing.

I love this place for their Halal Breakfast (All foods are Halal) and sandwiches and staff are friendly too.

Got a 25% off voucher through the door so thought we'd give them a go. Good menu, very friendly guy at the end of the phone, quick delivery and excellent food. Such generous portions that two dishes between us did two suppers. Really tasty and not sloshing with oil like some places. Jolly impressed and will certainly be using them again.

I was slightly pessimistic in going here for Indian food. I was really surprised by how good the food was. A little gem in the Old Kent Road.

Really happy with our takeaway curries. Amazing taste, good portions and reliable/fast delivery. We've tried several places since our favourite Indian in E+C shut and I feel with Ranna we might have found our new go to place :-)

Onion Bhajis were burnt to crisp and they forgot the side sauces, salad was barely enough for one person. That being said it still gets 4 stars because the food was amazing. We got the bhuna, jalfrezi and dhaal. It was gorgeous. Will be returning

First of all, I couldn't find the Ranna cafe page to review. I like the English breakfast, but I don't eat any pork products . If I order a English breakfast from somewhere else, I ended up with pork sausages or some other stuff. It is really nice that they do full English breakfast without pork. I was confirmed by the restaurant before ordering online and I was advised that if I like their breakfast, I should give them a review on Google. I loved that breakfast which was really nice, warm, not greesy and fresh. Tuna spaghetti was really good too. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are a breakfast lover and don't eat pork products. I am really pleased with their service.

Just fantastic! Out go-to place for curry in lockdown. Menu is surprising and quality of the food is second to none - we have been so thrilled to find this place. MILES ahead of other Indian take-aways that we have used in the past. Highlight for me is the "Special Sylhethi Chicken" - just delicious!!! Quick delivery and service with a smile! Highly recommended.

Really pleased with the dinner we got from here, which included meat samosa, puree, chicken madras, aubergine, palak paneer, pilau, naan and mango lassi. Every item was great, not overly spiced or oily. Will definitely be ordering again!

For some reason, they thought it appropriate for their delivery driver to wake me up on my day off so he could gain access to the building, no business with me but a leaflet that went straight in the bin. Your food is not so good that you must wake me to inform me about it, in fact its put me right off it. Next time, if a door is shut don't bother someone else to fix it, just don't come in - no one asked you to.
