Had a lovely meal here pre-theatre. We had Hugo Spritz’s to drink, the calamari and the sashimi starters, halibut and moules mariniere mains. Lovely friendly and attentive staff, lovely people at adjoining seats to chat with, great food - quality ingredients and well cooked. Would definitely eat here again!

A busy seafood restaurant in SoHo delivers delicious seafood like oysters and scallops and wine and cocktails in a smallish fun room. The service was impeccable.

I have been visiting this restaurant for nearly 20 years. We now live in Spain, but as we were in London we had to visit our favourite restaurant..superb food, atmosphere & staff! I would fully recommend to anyone ❤️

The shrove Tuesday Pancakes was an amazing touch I think this should be the desert on the menu for the whole of Lent. We had the special oysters, then the duck salad for starters followed by Lemon sole for main. One of the best meals I have had in years. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

I had been a regular to this wonderful restaurant pre Covid (remember that age ago?) but then forgot about it. But they, rather cleverly, hadn't forgotten me and sent me an email informing me about Feb set price lunch. Great idea owners. How about continuing it throughout the year? So I went with my daughter. Happy to say that this long-established seafood restaurant is still top notch. Wonderful fish specials of course, but also Randall & Aubin hamburger and fries is unbeatable anywhere in London for quality and value. And the service so warm, friendly and professional. There are very few places in my home town of London that have been consistently excellent over the years. This one (and Bocca di lupo) absolutely are. If you haven't been, you must go.

Home service kitchen atmosphere, everything is perfect. A great time

We reserved a time slot from 10:15 PM to 12:15 AM. After clearing our main courses at 11:15 PM, the maitre'd said that we could no longer get a dessert with coffee or anything from the coffee bar because the machine had already been cleaned. We were quite disappointed! The bread we ordered twice was also not served.

Scallops is nice, Dorset brown crab average, Loster bisque strangely sour but got the reply "its Bisque" from the waitress.

Two delicious fish soups and sea food platters plus faultless service despite the restaurant being very busy made my birthday treat most enjoyable - Excellent ! - Many thanks and full marks !!

My wife and I came two years ago to celebrate her birthday and today we returned. Everything was first class, fab menu, excellent cooking, superb service. Just a tip, would be nice to get a small chocolate on the side of a coffee?

Excellent Seafood and wonderful place

Stopped at this spot first night in London, the food was so good we booked a reservation and made it our last meal before heading back to the states. The staff were friendly, the wine and champagne offerings were the best around, and the food was decadent. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu between the two visits, so here are my recommendations: 1) The Caviar (just get the 50g, you won’t regret it)* I preferred with the sincere but the champagne was good as well. 2) The tuna steak (or any of their “main” fish dishes) all were cooked perfectly, and paired with unique yet complimentary flavors. 3) The muscles 🤤 4) Crème brûlée. The presentation of this dish was exceptional. They let the flame die out as it sits at the table. It wasn’t overly blended or runny, and the flavor was subtle but amazingly rich. (The chocolate mousse was great too, served with sugar candy and raspberry) **The second time we visited we got the White Bordeaux option they had. If you’re looking for something less expensive If you’re like me, and you know MA/ME 🦪 then I would skip them in the UK. We tried oysters at almost every restaurant, and while R&A had the best ones, they’re nothing compared to the ones in the states. The staff was top tier. They made recommendations, answered questions, and helped navigate the menu/specials. Kind, generous, and professional. The atmosphere was bar lounge, dark lighting, and the music was so good I had to download SoundCloud just to access it another time.

Always love coming to R&A - especially for the oysters - but this time around sampled the Prix Fixe menu. My daughter had the mussels starter which was delicious, nice juicy mussels in a lovely creamy broth. I opted for the Foie Gras which was delightfully creamy. For the mains we had the duck and the steak with both dishes being so tasty. Given the price for 3 courses was £32 we of course went the whole hog and indulged in creme brûlée and Brie. The prix fixe menu idea is fantastic and hope it continues maybe with changing dishes (?) - perhaps we can see a steak tartare appear at some stage? Missed having my usual fix of oysters and seafood this time around so will be back soon to rectify that little problem. Great food, amazing restaurant, friendly staff - what more do you need? Except a table always being free. Thanks R&A, back soon.

I remember going here 10 years and it's still just as good as I remembered.

Lovely evening… however, cramped knee room at window bar and got a blank look and shake of head when we attempted to order a lemon drop martini. Come on guys, your bartenders should know how to mix a classic. Apart from that ( and lukewarm tap water ) we had a blast!

The food was lovely, as were the atmosphere and the service. No problems with any of that. My problem was being overcharged this time and on my previous visit for wine which I never ordered. Coincidence? Maybe. However, the defensive attitude of the waiter made me smell a rat. Had the mistake been genuine, surely an apology would have diffused the situation. As it is, I felt embarrassed when I left and suspicious that some sort of racket is going on behind the scenes .

Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is always delicious, this time we tried the Prix Fixe menu for the 1st time. It was lovely but we felt the portions were a little on the small side.

When it comes to seafood in London, Randall & Aubin is the first place that comes to mind for my wife and me. We've become regulars, and this lovely restaurant simply never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is charming and inviting, setting the stage for a truly delightful dining experience. The seafood itself is incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection. Whether you're a seasoned seafood aficionado or just looking for a special meal, Randall & Aubin is a must-try. We can't recommend it highly enough!

very good restaurant in Soho, as soon as I come to London I have to go there. on the other hand, it is better to reserve a table so as not to wait. The fish soup is delicious .

What a place - Turned up without a booking, got lucky & managed to get seated. Our visit was excellent, probably best to reserve a table next time. Observations were that it does get a little busy & you could be disappointed with just turning up. Starters - French onion soup with Comté cheese & sourdough croutons Mains - Roast Basque chicken with garlic, parsley & lemon stuffing, rocket, aioli & house chips & The sea bass special Desserts - Crème brûlée & Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream Of course, it goes without saying - Voka Lemonade & Gin & tonic. SEVERAL haha

R&A never disappoints. We ate here (again) on Saturday and it hit all the right spots. The serving team are unfailingly great - always the right side of casual and friendly, without being too much so, the food was probably the best we've ever had there (in 25 years of eating at R&A) and the ambiance is unmatched in Soho. Go. Just go.

Used to go regularly to this restaurant, but haven’t been there for sometime. I’m not much of a fish eater. The restaurant is fairly small and used to be a fine butchers and has retained a lot of the original shop details such as the ceramic tiles, but this can mean its a bit of a squeeze depending where you’re sitting. Service was really good and the staff were very friendly. I did order a drink without ice but it came with ice but this was corrected very quickly. I initially ordered the beef burger but that wasn’t available so I went for the chicken. Half of it was good tasty white meat, but the other half was greasy and fatty, not enjoyable at all. My friend had the Devon crab and oysters which he thoroughly enjoyed. Good atmosphere, but the food for the price should’ve been better

Had a great meal at Randall and Aubin on a dull and cold January Friday afternoon, we had a booking at a later time, but the staff were kind enough to fit us in 30 minutes early. The staff were very well informed and helpful with the menu and describing the food. The space here is what I would describe as cozy, you are on some of the locations right next to the next couple just out of elbow range, which for us was no issue as both couples either side of us were friendly. Along the outer wall the width of the table is smaller, but you are not so check by jowl. We had some lovely food; I went for the half a Dorset crab which was well prepared and cooked and very tasty. The service was quick without being too quick. You are not hurried through. The desserts were great with my wife having the sticky toffee pudding and I have the apple piie

Great fish restaurant close to theatre land. Rather pricey, but surprisingly value for money. If you want the best you have to pay for it. For three courses expect to pay an average of around £50 to £70 per person, not including the wine.

Why can't I give 6 stars!! We've been coming here for years now. It's a special go to place. Arrived yesterday Monday lunch time - left around 5pm. Perfect window spot for the Soho vibes, really helpful team that were happy to let us go at our own pace and a stunning selection of seafood and fish. Took the Oysters, Scallops, Skate Wing and squeezed in a cheeseboard too. Well priced quality wines as well. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and this delivers value for money. An extra special celebration day - we shall be back :)

R&A is by far the best fish n chips I've eaten in London, but that's not all, excellent apps and dessert and even coffee. Top marks all around would highly recommend and I'll be back.

Charming, quiet and atmospheric central Soho eatery. Food is wonderful and an open line makes you feel part of the kitchen experience. Attentive staff ready to help in a friendly way, and generous portions for such high end food. I highly recommend it, very expensive but worth paying for.

We went for drinks and apps before we went to the theater Friday night. Sat at bar seats by the window and everything was delicious- especially the Gallagher oysters, Devon crab app and espresso martinis. Can’t wait to go back for full entrees! They were busy but took great care of us.

First time visit Friday 10 Jan. Restaurant busy and atmospheric - staff took us to our table immediately and drinks came promptly. Excellent menu and specials board & food also served quickly (but without us being rushed in any way ). Starters and mains were delicious - well presented, good portions accompanied by well chosen wines. This was one of the best meals we’ve eaten out in a long time and throughout the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable given location and quality. Highly recommended and we look forward to a return visit.

Celebrated our anniversary and recommend it highly. Unique layout and atmosphere that adds style to their exquisite seafood. The house bubbles were beautiful. No need to go further than that.

Second visit to this restaurant and it really was delicious. The large Garlic prawns are just sublime. I would go out of my way to have these again. Lovely atmosphere, small and perfectly formed.

Visited on 28th December 2024 and so happy we decided to book, space is limited but intimate, food was absolutely delicious and piping hot, impeccable service even though it was quite busy and a beautiful warm and welcoming atmosphere all at a very competitive price. Excellent drinks menu too, Would 100% recommend and revisit in the future. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

A great atmosphere with wonderful staff

The culinary offerings were exceptional, providing an unparalleled seafood experience in London at remarkably affordable prices and generous portions. While the service experienced a slight delay, it was manageable and did not overshadow the dining experience. However, the seating arrangement proved to be a significant drawback. We were seated directly opposite the entrance in a cramped and uncomfortable position, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The poorly designed layout made it challenging to fully savor the culinary delights. It is unfortunate that such exceptional seafood is overshadowed by the inconvenience of bumping into the couple practically seated in your lap. I strongly recommend that the restaurant reconsider its seating arrangement to align with the exceptional quality of its food offerings.

This is my fave restaurant in London. The best seafood done in such an imaginative yet simple way. Wine to pair is unsurpassed. Whenever i am in London, i always come to this wonderful place. Thank you for the food and wine memories.

Excellent lobster. Tender and doused well with seasoning and sauce. Bread was warm and it tasted very fresh. Good lunch, dinner, or date spot for the French seafood lover.

My partner took me here for my birthday in Nov and we loved it that we came back for our Xmas lunch date. The food and venue are lovely. The music is a vibe and the service is on point. We had the fish and chips for lunch and OMG it was the lighted battered fish we’ve ever had and was delicious..the Oysters too went down a treat too. We couldn’t leave without having a dessert and that also didn’t disappoint. Seriously recommend dining here and really value for money the heart of Soho. We’ll be back to try more from the menu. Oh dear, never go to somewhere you have really loved before at Christmas. We were 10 minutes late and first thing advised that we couldn't stay for 10 minutes after our slot. Politely we moved with still half a bottle of wine to finish so they could have the table, to be told we had to stand by the door incase someone wanted to come in for standing Service? Really, is this what you call Service after spending nearly £300 ? Very disappointed especially after telling our guest it was a really wonderful place......you need to work hard all years on customer service and not take it for granted that people will accept poorer service at Christmas because it's busy.....

A fabulous evening of great seafood and good wines under the impressive Christmas lights.

The prawn cocktail was absolutely lovely, as were the scallops. Very good wine selection too. We had a lovely meal, my only feedback would be that the tables at the front are quite close together which means people sitting behind you struggle to get out.

This was my 1st visit to Randall & Aubin & it was a recommendation from a good friend. I really enjoyed it. I loved the building, the food,the ambience & the staff were lovely. I had 2 starters instead of a main please because I wanted to try the crab & the scallop dishes. These were wonderful.

From seeing the restaurant on Instagram, I thought it looked cosy and friendly with a great vibe, and it didn't disappoint. Firstly... it was so pretty with the Christmas decor and the disco ball, loved the seating style and the tiled walls. Secondly, the service... my friend and I took forever with our food decision but the waiting staff were so patient and friendly. Thirdly... music and atmosphere were great. Fourthly... the food and wine were divine. The best dining experience I've had in ages!

Fantastic, consistent sea food with a few steaks and other meat dishes. Recommend the crab, oysters and skate wing with capers+ (see photo).

Came up to London for the day, first time in ages. Used to live and work in city road and old street respectively in the 90s when the capital had character, class and an ambience second to none. What a shame it's all been lost. Old buildings are suffocated amongst the new and construction cranes dominate the skyline dwarfing st Paul's, post office tower, old Billingsgate et al. So what a pleasure it was to have a fantastic meal in an old-school restaurant with character, class and an ambience second to none. The food was sublime and we had the best table in the place. Nice to know that some things never change while too many others do. Make the most of it while you can.

For 8 years since our very first visit to Randall and Aubin it remains our absolute favorite restaurant ever, and we’ve been to many many restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere for us is second to none. We had the Skate and Tuna tonight which was sublime! Plus the prawn cocktail, OMG, love it!! Thanks to all the staff, you are magnificent!! Can’t wait to come again. If it weren’t for the fact we’re over 2 hours away we’d come every week.
