Seafood was fresh; wine was crisp; and service was attentive but not smothering.

R&A is by far the best fish n chips I've eaten in London, but that's not all, excellent apps and dessert and even coffee. Top marks all around would highly recommend and I'll be back.

Charming, quiet and atmospheric central Soho eatery. Food is wonderful and an open line makes you feel part of the kitchen experience. Attentive staff ready to help in a friendly way, and generous portions for such high end food. I highly recommend it, very expensive but worth paying for.

First time visit Friday 10 Jan. Restaurant busy and atmospheric - staff took us to our table immediately and drinks came promptly. Excellent menu and specials board & food also served quickly (but without us being rushed in any way ). Starters and mains were delicious - well presented, good portions accompanied by well chosen wines. This was one of the best meals we’ve eaten out in a long time and throughout the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable given location and quality. Highly recommended and we look forward to a return visit.

We went for drinks and apps before we went to the theater Friday night. Sat at bar seats by the window and everything was delicious- especially the Gallagher oysters, Devon crab app and espresso martinis. Can’t wait to go back for full entrees! They were busy but took great care of us.

Celebrated our anniversary and recommend it highly. Unique layout and atmosphere that adds style to their exquisite seafood. The house bubbles were beautiful. No need to go further than that.

Second visit to this restaurant and it really was delicious. The large Garlic prawns are just sublime. I would go out of my way to have these again. Lovely atmosphere, small and perfectly formed.

Visited on 28th December 2024 and so happy we decided to book, space is limited but intimate, food was absolutely delicious and piping hot, impeccable service even though it was quite busy and a beautiful warm and welcoming atmosphere all at a very competitive price. Excellent drinks menu too, Would 100% recommend and revisit in the future. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

I often eat at this restaurant with my wife when we are in London and it has never disappointed us. The food is great and the place is really nice. Good wine list with not excessive mark-ups (for being in London). Excellent quality/price ratio

A great atmosphere with wonderful staff

The culinary offerings were exceptional, providing an unparalleled seafood experience in London at remarkably affordable prices and generous portions. While the service experienced a slight delay, it was manageable and did not overshadow the dining experience. However, the seating arrangement proved to be a significant drawback. We were seated directly opposite the entrance in a cramped and uncomfortable position, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The poorly designed layout made it challenging to fully savor the culinary delights. It is unfortunate that such exceptional seafood is overshadowed by the inconvenience of bumping into the couple practically seated in your lap. I strongly recommend that the restaurant reconsider its seating arrangement to align with the exceptional quality of its food offerings.

This is my fave restaurant in London. The best seafood done in such an imaginative yet simple way. Wine to pair is unsurpassed. Whenever i am in London, i always come to this wonderful place. Thank you for the food and wine memories.

Excellent lobster. Tender and doused well with seasoning and sauce. Bread was warm and it tasted very fresh. Good lunch, dinner, or date spot for the French seafood lover.

My partner took me here for my birthday in Nov and we loved it that we came back for our Xmas lunch date. The food and venue are lovely. The music is a vibe and the service is on point. We had the fish and chips for lunch and OMG it was the lighted battered fish we’ve ever had and was delicious..the Oysters too went down a treat too. We couldn’t leave without having a dessert and that also didn’t disappoint. Seriously recommend dining here and really value for money the heart of Soho. We’ll be back to try more from the menu. Oh dear, never go to somewhere you have really loved before at Christmas. We were 10 minutes late and first thing advised that we couldn't stay for 10 minutes after our slot. Politely we moved with still half a bottle of wine to finish so they could have the table, to be told we had to stand by the door incase someone wanted to come in for standing Service? Really, is this what you call Service after spending nearly £300 ? Very disappointed especially after telling our guest it was a really wonderful place......you need to work hard all years on customer service and not take it for granted that people will accept poorer service at Christmas because it's busy.....

My favourite restaurant for over 20 years. Have never skipped Randall & Aubin whenever I visit London. Foods are great, service is superb and the atmosphere is so hip and nice!

Always a treat to go to Randall and Aubin.Excellent food and service. Had the fish soup with Comte cheese then Roast Chicken my wife had the prawns then spaghetti vongole. A glass of champagne too.

The prawn cocktail was absolutely lovely, as were the scallops. Very good wine selection too. We had a lovely meal, my only feedback would be that the tables at the front are quite close together which means people sitting behind you struggle to get out.

This was my 1st visit to Randall & Aubin & it was a recommendation from a good friend. I really enjoyed it. I loved the building, the food,the ambience & the staff were lovely. I had 2 starters instead of a main please because I wanted to try the crab & the scallop dishes. These were wonderful.

Suzu in the service was amazing, as was our time with you. I cannot wait to return to London in March and spend an evening there with you again, guys. Merry Christmas.

From seeing the restaurant on Instagram, I thought it looked cosy and friendly with a great vibe, and it didn't disappoint. Firstly... it was so pretty with the Christmas decor and the disco ball, loved the seating style and the tiled walls. Secondly, the service... my friend and I took forever with our food decision but the waiting staff were so patient and friendly. Thirdly... music and atmosphere were great. Fourthly... the food and wine were divine. The best dining experience I've had in ages!

Fantastic, consistent sea food with a few steaks and other meat dishes. Recommend the crab, oysters and skate wing with capers+ (see photo).

Came up to London for the day, first time in ages. Used to live and work in city road and old street respectively in the 90s when the capital had character, class and an ambience second to none. What a shame it's all been lost. Old buildings are suffocated amongst the new and construction cranes dominate the skyline dwarfing st Paul's, post office tower, old Billingsgate et al. So what a pleasure it was to have a fantastic meal in an old-school restaurant with character, class and an ambience second to none. The food was sublime and we had the best table in the place. Nice to know that some things never change while too many others do. Make the most of it while you can.

Wow, what a special place this is.... so warm, homey and alluring! The staff are the epitome of glorious manners, high-end service and extreme professionalism with an added measure of loving familiarity. And the food is sublimely perfect and insanely divine! Thank you for such a generous experience!

For 8 years since our very first visit to Randall and Aubin it remains our absolute favorite restaurant ever, and we’ve been to many many restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere for us is second to none. We had the Skate and Tuna tonight which was sublime! Plus the prawn cocktail, OMG, love it!! Thanks to all the staff, you are magnificent!! Can’t wait to come again. If it weren’t for the fact we’re over 2 hours away we’d come every week.

A wonderful place with excellent staff and delicious food. The onion and fish soup, as well as the mussels, were the best we’ve ever had. They even offer Hungarian wine, Tokaji Aszú. We would gladly return!

We have been to the Randall & Aubin quite a few times. Their seafood are always fresh, delicious and outstanding! This time I’m really impressed by the lobster bisque. Maybe I was misleading by somewhere else, full of brandy in the soup, I drink but can’t stand the food with alcohol taste. This time the waiting staff recommended it to me, the only feel after the first touch: WOW! And I can’t stop. Mamamiya, is there any great taste in this world?

We had a fabulous lunch yesterday. Fruits de Mer and hake. All superb. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Couldn't fault it and will return!

The lobster soup is very delicious, the onion soup is very rich, the seafood platter is enough for two people, and the bread crab meat is so fresh and sweet. However, the seats are a bit cramped.

My friends and I came here for a birthday lunch and it was absolutely amazing! drinks and food were delicious, we will definitely be returning soon, thank you 😊

A very enjoyable experience Food ad it should be; sympatheticly prepared to bring out the flavours. Plenty of butter , too Short but well chosen wines. The Pinot Gris was excellent The restaurant has that feel of Paris that is hard to explain but recognisable who you feel it

I have eaten here plenty of times over the years and have always enjoyed the seafood, this time however...whilst I have no complaints with the food, the service was lazy, complacent and aggressively arrogant. In a half full restaurant we waited nearly 30 minutes for our main course. The food came very quickly after I asked if there was a problem, the bread didn't, it arrived nearly halfway through the bouillabaisse - I guess it at least arrived while we were still eating! When I asked what had happened, the member of staff said he had already apologised, in an attempt to abruptly shut me down. As I was with a friend I decided to terminate our conversation and I will terminate a long standing relationship with this establishment.

Where do I start... my mom and I had a layover in London for 24 hours in 2019 and we wanted to try the best fish and chips in town. We went to Randall and Aubin and omg... we had (and still have) no words. I had the TASTIEST meal in all my travels. Well what do you know... my mom and I went to London again last year but this time we stayed for 4 nights... and ate here 3 out of the 4 nights 😅 We couldn't get enough. The lobster bisque is the BEST I've ever had. I've tried so many different ones since then to try and replicate the experience and nothing compares. My mom feels the same for the French Onion soup. The fish and chips... omg. So crispy. So tasty. Chef's kiss. We also tried other highly-rated places in town and these were still the most outstanding. The rock shrimp tempura was the perfect balance of crispy and sauce-y. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect ending to the most delectable meal. Needless to say, my mom and I dream of going back to London just to eat here again 🤣 Other than the fact that we love it, too, of course but... Randall and Aubin though... we can't wait to go back 😅 Please never change your recipes! Your consistency is everything!

Randall & Aubin is a charming little restaurant located in central London, just a short stroll from the main theaters and popular attractions. While the ambiance can feel a bit cramped when the restaurant is busy, we found ourselves seated against a wall with limited space to move. Our neighbors were so close that it felt like they were almost part of our dining experience! Fortunately, they left shortly after we arrived, and we asked the waiter if we could move to a table by the window. He was very accommodating and quickly cleaned the table for us. There was a minor misunderstanding with the manager, who thought we had moved without waiting, but he graciously apologised. As for the food, it was impressive—delicious and surprisingly affordable, with a menu that predominantly features fish dishes. Each item was flavorful and well-prepared. The dessert was a highlight, both delectable and visually striking, perfectly in line with the theatrical vibe of the area. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Randall & Aubin and will definitely return.

Another faultless lunch! Window seats attentive service from the moment we entered. I always have skate but yesterday seemed even better than usual, maybe a few tweaks but the brown shrimps and crispy garlic really enrichened it. Tempura shrimp with gingered cucumber in teriyaki mayo outstanding! All washed down with some cold, crisp Poilly Fume. See you again soon!

We were a walk in at peak time but a table was found with lovely neighbours. The food was Perfect, so were the drinks, ambience and staff - we had such a great time and special attention from Ed. We will definitely be back.

Walked in, having read some good google reviews, which it more than lives up to. The food was exceptional. We had dishes focusing on prawns, crab, halibut, and hake.We also treated ourselves to caviar. All was amazing, fresh, and flavoursome. Rounded off with a couple of glasses of white burgundy, the whole experience was faultless.

Nice vibe for a date, good cocktails, and mostly important thing is lobster will love to die for me.

Nice location, the food is fantastic. Especially on sunny days when the views are unmatched. We had a great experience despite it being overcrowded. Francisco was very attentive and very patient which made our experience far better.
