A wonderful place with excellent staff and delicious food. The onion and fish soup, as well as the mussels, were the best we’ve ever had. They even offer Hungarian wine, Tokaji Aszú. We would gladly return!

We have been to the Randall & Aubin quite a few times. Their seafood are always fresh, delicious and outstanding! This time I’m really impressed by the lobster bisque. Maybe I was misleading by somewhere else, full of brandy in the soup, I drink but can’t stand the food with alcohol taste. This time the waiting staff recommended it to me, the only feel after the first touch: WOW! And I can’t stop. Mamamiya, is there any great taste in this world?

The lobster soup is very delicious, the onion soup is very rich, the seafood platter is enough for two people, and the bread crab meat is so fresh and sweet. However, the seats are a bit cramped.

My friends and I came here for a birthday lunch and it was absolutely amazing! drinks and food were delicious, we will definitely be returning soon, thank you 😊

A very enjoyable experience Food ad it should be; sympatheticly prepared to bring out the flavours. Plenty of butter , too Short but well chosen wines. The Pinot Gris was excellent The restaurant has that feel of Paris that is hard to explain but recognisable who you feel it

I have eaten here plenty of times over the years and have always enjoyed the seafood, this time however...whilst I have no complaints with the food, the service was lazy, complacent and aggressively arrogant. In a half full restaurant we waited nearly 30 minutes for our main course. The food came very quickly after I asked if there was a problem, the bread didn't, it arrived nearly halfway through the bouillabaisse - I guess it at least arrived while we were still eating! When I asked what had happened, the member of staff said he had already apologised, in an attempt to abruptly shut me down. As I was with a friend I decided to terminate our conversation and I will terminate a long standing relationship with this establishment.

The experience was delicious both in the pallet and in the heart. The food was delicate, fresh, and exciting with every mouthful. Requested no meat options and they were very accommodating. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Where do I start... my mom and I had a layover in London for 24 hours in 2019 and we wanted to try the best fish and chips in town. We went to Randall and Aubin and omg... we had (and still have) no words. I had the TASTIEST meal in all my travels. Well what do you know... my mom and I went to London again last year but this time we stayed for 4 nights... and ate here 3 out of the 4 nights 😅 We couldn't get enough. The lobster bisque is the BEST I've ever had. I've tried so many different ones since then to try and replicate the experience and nothing compares. My mom feels the same for the French Onion soup. The fish and chips... omg. So crispy. So tasty. Chef's kiss. We also tried other highly-rated places in town and these were still the most outstanding. The rock shrimp tempura was the perfect balance of crispy and sauce-y. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect ending to the most delectable meal. Needless to say, my mom and I dream of going back to London just to eat here again 🤣 Other than the fact that we love it, too, of course but... Randall and Aubin though... we can't wait to go back 😅 Please never change your recipes! Your consistency is everything!

Randall & Aubin is a charming little restaurant located in central London, just a short stroll from the main theaters and popular attractions. While the ambiance can feel a bit cramped when the restaurant is busy, we found ourselves seated against a wall with limited space to move. Our neighbors were so close that it felt like they were almost part of our dining experience! Fortunately, they left shortly after we arrived, and we asked the waiter if we could move to a table by the window. He was very accommodating and quickly cleaned the table for us. There was a minor misunderstanding with the manager, who thought we had moved without waiting, but he graciously apologised. As for the food, it was impressive—delicious and surprisingly affordable, with a menu that predominantly features fish dishes. Each item was flavorful and well-prepared. The dessert was a highlight, both delectable and visually striking, perfectly in line with the theatrical vibe of the area. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Randall & Aubin and will definitely return.

We were a walk in at peak time but a table was found with lovely neighbours. The food was Perfect, so were the drinks, ambience and staff - we had such a great time and special attention from Ed. We will definitely be back.

Another faultless lunch! Window seats attentive service from the moment we entered. I always have skate but yesterday seemed even better than usual, maybe a few tweaks but the brown shrimps and crispy garlic really enrichened it. Tempura shrimp with gingered cucumber in teriyaki mayo outstanding! All washed down with some cold, crisp Poilly Fume. See you again soon!

Walked in, having read some good google reviews, which it more than lives up to. The food was exceptional. We had dishes focusing on prawns, crab, halibut, and hake.We also treated ourselves to caviar. All was amazing, fresh, and flavoursome. Rounded off with a couple of glasses of white burgundy, the whole experience was faultless.

Nice vibe for a date, good cocktails, and mostly important thing is lobster will love to die for me.

Nice location, the food is fantastic. Especially on sunny days when the views are unmatched. We had a great experience despite it being overcrowded. Francisco was very attentive and very patient which made our experience far better.

Such a lovely, welcoming place. We had an amazing meal - the service was excellent and we were impressed with the standard of our food. The haddock and chips was a particular highlight. We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family. It was very busy on the night of our visit, so worth booking your table in advance.

We had a whale of a time. The food is delicious and reasonably priced - especially for central London. The atmosphere is really buzzy. The staff are great and seemed to be really enjoying being there.

There's a reason this establishment has been in business for decades. It delivers exceptional food and service in a beautiful setting. The wine list is extensive and the bar even made us a cocktail that's off the menu. Randall & Aubin could easily become anyone's favourite restaurant. We cannot wait to return! Would recommend everything we had: the French onion soup, salade niçoise and the scallops.

I love R &A and have eaten there many times over many years. The standard of food and the vibe has always been excellent and the staff are just the best. However on my most recent visit and for the first time ever I felt a little bit let down. As always the staff were very welcoming and efficient but my main course just wasn't value for money. I had a calamari starter which was a generous portion and was delicious. My main course was half a lobster but the white meat was minuscule and was consumed in one bite. Given my love for the place I couldn't bring myself to complain on the evening but I now feel I have to bring this matter to their attention. That stated this experience won't stop me going back to what had always been my favourite London restaurant and I will put it down to just one of those nights.

Amazing vibe, seafood is fresh and tasty. service is great. The restaurant manager has 12 years experience so he is very friendly. We had a lovely night and will visit again definitely.

We received a warm welcome and had a enjoyable evening with good food and friendly and helpful service. Will definately go back. Although not listed below I would recommend, Crispy calamari with aioli & lemon Pan fried Scallops with petits pois à la française, lardons, crisp capers & velouté Rock shrimp tempura with ginger pickled cucumber, teriyaki mayonnaise & toasted peanuts. Excellent as sharing dishes

Another fantastic meal at out favourite fish restaurant in London - or anywhere for that matter! The warmest pf welcomes from the wonderful Sussu, who made sure we could have our preferred seats, and then brilliant food and wine served by Marco. Stunning cod goujons followed by just fabulous monkfish and fish and chips, all washed down with a lovely Picpoul! We love R&A!!

The atmosphere was lively, the service attentive, and the value for money was fantastic. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

We had a nice time dining here before the theatre. I had the grilled tuna with roasted vegetables and feta, and it was excellent. My husband had the Spaghetti Vongole and wasn't quite as impressed, he gave it 3.5. We also had the bread and it was very good.

This place suck’s the service to turists is awful they act like they are doing you a favor to let you in!!

Although we found the restaurant a little snug with side bars being used for tables. The food and service was excellent and we would return again

5 star service, food is good, but the place is tiled and small and so can be noisy as it was today with a loud group seated in the middle of the restaurant. We went for a dozen mixed oysters (excellent) and 3 starters for 2 of us - calamari (good), rock shrimp tempura (very good, though covered in a peanut sauce) and sashimi (hamachi was very good, tuna good).

It's always a pleasurable experience at Randalls, we have been coming here for over 15 years and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and fantastic service, attentive and chatty. It was great to see Ed there who took time to chat with us also, which made it feel really special. Music always on point and New!

You can go alone, the atmosphere in the store is very good, you can chat with people you don’t know sitting next to you, and you will say hello when you leave. The signature oysters are delicious, and the lobster is also pretty good. The manager who took the table was very friendly, but the waitress in charge that day was a bit irritable and not very friendly.

Loved (almost!) everything about this restaurant. Great staff, fabulous fish, sensible prices and we had a lovely time. BUT this lovely traditional restaurant was playing loud, thumping, repetitive music which totally jarred with the lovely surroundings. We actually couldn’t speak to each other because it was so loud. Such a shame.

We rocked up to this place with no reservation but they were so helpful and in no time managed to squeeze us in. I know it is a popular spot and thought we wouldn’t be able to get in. Great ambiance and service and the food is simply so very tasty!

We go as my friend likes Oysters . (I don’t) The food is excellent . Staff very friendly and efficient. Chefs excellent . Although I don’t like oysters there is delicious fish all so fresh . Our 2nd visit . Looking forward to:going back very soon

A 5 minute walk from Shaftesbury Avenue this fish restaurant is a brilliant pre/post theatre location. The fish is box fresh and perfectly cooked, the Orkney scallop starter was not only beautiful to look at but utterly delicious. The interior is lovely and everyone sits on bar stools. Book during busy times as it is relatively small and very popular.

Been meaning to visit for ages and popped in for an unplanned dinner and were fortunate to get a table right away. Absolutely superb meal, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.

Early dinner for 4 adults. 2 glasses of wine. 4 x starters. 2 x grilled cod, 1 x hake, 1 x moules and prawns. Busy and as ever very good service. Great atmosphere, everyone loves eating here. Approx £55 per head so decent value for mid range and central soho. Look out for the Specials board. 2 of us are Coeliac and they catered for us easily. I am a regular here and have been for 20 years, and will definitely return.

Food is generally always really good. Sadly it wasn’t on this occasion. Beans are precooked and were actually overcooked. Welks arrived still with sand in them - they had not been correctly cleaned. The sides came out at different times to the main and the fries were sat on the side for 5min whilst everyone ignored them and walked past. Service was also slightly poor in comparison to other visits.

We had our first experience of dining here in November 2001. We live in Newcastle and have been back 20+ times. They have the balance right. The food, the service and the atmosphere. It’s great. My favourite restaurant on the planet.

We stumbled across this fabulous restaurant yesterday as the one we were planning to visit had a problem with their ovens. How fortunate for us. This restaurant is so authentic. Never eaten fish so fresh anywhere in London. We are fairly local to the area and plan to revisit very soon to try out other dishes. We plan to work our way through the menu eventually.

This is an incredible spot in the heart of SoHo. It is cozy inside with wide open windows, an open kitchen and a fabulous disco ball. The staff is fantastic starting with the brilliant hostess who is friendly and makes everyone feel welcome and at home (this is a rare thing in London). The food was delicious and fresh, I highly recommend the sashimi and the garlic shrimp. We’ll be back for sure!
