We had breakfast there on a Saturday morning, the place was busy, so many people ordering takeaway as well as sitting at the tables and enjoying their morning with the family. The outside is beautiful. They have two floors so before you think it's all full and pass by, go in and ask because their coffees and croissants are well worth it. I ordered a latte and the almond croissant and it was delicious The service and attention was very good, the croissants that when you bite into them melt in your mouth and crunch. Without a doubt a very good option to stop for breakfast on the way to Covent Garden. We will repeat 100%.

Chestnut Bakery was recommended by a friend for a quick bite to eat whilst out in Covent Garden… and she was right, absolutely delicious food, the cinnamon roll was warmed up slightly which was great. I would definitely recommend that, my only gripe was that my coffee was too small… I wish I had ordered another! As we were leaving we noticed that there was a long queue of customers outside waiting for a table… now that is a good sign!

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each pastry is done the right way. This bakery has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The warm lighting, rustic decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed brunch. The wait was well worth, service was great and the bakery was super cozy and clean.

Had a delivery light lunch and crispy pain au chocolat. I look forward to coming back.

I truly can't believe that any of these 5* reviews are real. The service was dreadful considering how ridiculously overpriced everything in this shop is, even by London standards. The Crookie - which cost a whopping £6.75 to take away !! - was cloying and the cookie dough itself tasted stale (for reference, I went in the late morning, so this clearly isn't freshly made). The croissant was utterly nondescript. It really shouldn't have cost more than £4-5 maximum. If you really want to try a 'crookie', do yourself a colossal favour and buy cookie dough from literally anywhere else in London, combine with any basic butter croissant, and you'll have a far superior taste experience for a fraction of the cost. I certainly will not be returning to try any of the other pastries.

What a brilliant place! I found it by accident at 4:30 pm on a Monday. Too late for lunch, too early for dinner. We only ordered food to be polite but wow! Everything seemed a bit on the pricey side...until it arrived. All 5 of us loved the food and drinks we chose. Worth every penny. Absolutely delicious. Also, Nishad was fantastic. His customer service was exceptional. Above and beyond. We were an awkward bunch and he was so keen that we were all happy. You can tell genuine care when you see it! He made sure everyone knew what they were ordering, offered good suggestions and helpful advice. He then checked that we were happy with everything. He did everything he could to make our visit enjoyable. The other staff seemed great as well. I will be coming back with more friends soon, based on this great experience. Thank you Nishad. Genuinely great experience!

The croissants are spectacular, the cafeteria is cozy and very pretty. At closing time they gave us several products, Sumam was very kind to us. If we travel to London again we will not hesitate to return, we loved it!

Lovely bakery and coffeeshop. Music and ambience were lovely, as was the service. To eat, we enjoyed the almond croissant, sticky cinnamon bun, club sandwich, vanilla bun, and za’atar gruyere knot. The star was the za’atar gruyere knot - complex flavor and excellent texture. Coffee was also excellent. I recommend the Spanish latte. Would absolutely recommend this spot!

A pastry that’s great for breakfast. Everyone in the group ate Kaymak + croissants, and it was incredibly sweet. If you like sweet food, I wonder who doesn't like it. However, the food was too sweet for me (I think it was due to the effect of honey), so it was uncomfortable to eat without coffee. Still, it's actually delicious!

Highly recommended! Visited on Sunday before closing, Front of House Suman is very patient and generous. All savoury pastries are nice🧡

I love this place! The sitting area is so cozy and charming! Whenever I want to meet a friend, I always think about Chestnut! Everything I tried was amazing and the tiramisu danish is out of this world.

Breakfast restaurant and bakery, clean and quiet. Doreen. The service is excellent and their food is delicious. We ordered tannour pies and they were large. Cheese and thyme pie. And kofta pie. It was called Turkish. Shahi barad is enough for two people. A beautiful and stable option in London👍🏼 I thank the Algerian brother (Amin) who was cooperative and advised

The pistachio croissant is amazing, with a mixture of flavors, but the downside is that it gets intoxicating at 6 o’clock, which means you won’t catch it. Their coffee is excellent.

I visited the bakery and was served by Nishad—I received the best service ever! I tried the pastry, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Nishad, you’re in for a great experience!

The pastries look amazing, but that is the only good thing about them. I ordered a citrus and pistachio bun and it didn't taste at all and the price was insane, compared to other bakeries. I also ordered a chai latte which again, didn't taste like anything and it was highly overpriced. Don't waste your time coming here.

This is best bakery in London in my opinion. I’m obsessed with their fresh sourdough sandwiches and their croissant cookie pastry. Also everyone working there is so kind to me! Especially Nishad who always has the brightest smile on his face. Highly recommend coming here when you’re in covent garden.

I stopped by Chestnut Bakery and tried their pastrami sandwich, and wow—it was incredible! The pastrami was smoky and tender, layered with crunchy pickles, caramelised onions on fresh, tangy sourdough. Every bite was packed with flavor. I paired it with their iced coffee, which was smooth, bold, and perfectly refreshing. A must-try!

Breakfast with flavors very suitable for Arabs Chesnut is more than familiar with me, but this is the first time I try it. The menu is excellent and there is a wide variety. I tried them 1- Kaak with halloumi and tomatoes The sandwich is large at once, and its flavors are delicious and familiar. The only flaw is that the distribution of ingredients is not the best. Every part of the sandwich feels like a little ingredient. You only eat cheese and a little tomato and the like, but it tastes good. 2- Eggs with mozzarella Delicious eggs and not boring, I loved it once In general, the restaurant is well known. I'm sure there are better orders than the ones I took, and I would love to come back and try more things

I cannot recommend this place enough!! We popped in over a weekend and could see a queue was already forming so was unsure if we’d get in but the staff were so accommodating and we were seated within minutes despite the place being packed! The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly and the FOOD!! 🤤 I am had the best bagel I’ve ever tasted followed by what I can also describe as the croissant of dreams! Sooo yummy, will definitely come again.

Had hot chocolate and chai latte. Both drinks were very hot, light and milky. No flavours and wasn’t made correctly. They didn’t hear of babychino and just served cold milk. Their melted cheese sandwich was good but average. Croissant was perfect though. Table was sticky and had to ask for it to be cleaned. Not what I would expect for the price range. Don’t see how this is different to Costa. At least they can make a proper drink. Maybe it’s because it was Sunday but I won’t be coming again.

The most expensive almond croissant I’ve ever had—but also one of the best! I’m writing this review after a year of being obsessed with almond croissants, tasting them all over Europe, including in Paris and Copenhagen. This one truly stands out. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in London!

Really uncomfortable experience. I went upstairs and it was busy, so I tried sharing the table with two men near a window. When the server came they exchanged words with each other in another language, and I was told they didn’t want me to sit there by the server. It was uncomfortable because clearly it was so busy eveyrone was sharing tables, yet the server chose to share that with me favoring this man. I felt uncomfortable and that it was sexist treatment. I ended up moving because I was uncomfortable and these two men left shortly after. Some other people sat down. Eventually the table became available again, so I moved over to be by the window—a server came by and told me it was “reserved”—nowhere do I see an option to reserve tables…. On top of that my croissant tasted oily & stale. It seemed they warmed it up in a microwave. Milk in my oat flat white was poorly steamed.

Chestnut Bakery is an absolute gem! One of my favourite spot to study in! It's the perfect environment—cozy, welcoming, and well-equipped with fast WiFi and a spotless bathroom. The staff was beyond incredible—so kind and attentive, making the experience even better. A special shout-out to Nishad, who was exceptionally kind and made me feel so welcome! And the food? The trio cookie was heavenly—delicious, rich, and the perfect treat for a study session. If you're looking for a comfortable spot with amazing service and mouthwatering baked goods, Chestnut Bakery is the place to be! Can't wait to come back!

The vanilla bun was exceptional. As was the tea. Nishad was a very attentive waiter and I had the best view of Covent Garden. Would recommend.

It’s not the first time I go to Chesnut Covent Garden for their very nice pastries and coffee but this last time was even more special because we were served by Alessandra , she made our whole experience extra special, from the warm welcoming to the suggestions on the menu and also constantly looking after us. I wish there were more Alessandras out there! I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

He was quick in his service and keen on serving customers and requests. The café deserves to be tried again and again. They have the best croissants and cinnabons. May God grant them success. I hope for it to spread throughout the Arabian Gulf and the world

This cafe is located on Floral Street in Covent Garden, about a 10mins walk from the underground station, making it very convenient. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating. I ordered a Mocha and a Tiramisu Daish, and both were outstanding. I really enjoyed the flavors. Overall, I look forward to returning to try more items from the menu!

First of all, this honey croissant was my absolute favorite! 🐻🍯 I’m a big honey fan, after all. Secondly, never ever try the bacon bagel—not for an Arab taste! 🤢 The service was good, but the breakfast options weren’t that amazing. The Karak tea was too light.👎 In short, try their cream and honey croissant Do not order karak tea or round bagels with bacon or fried meat, because they are not our taste at all. And if you order cheese and thyme pastries, ask for red sauce with them, as it will give the pastries a little flavor😒 Take it like a croissant. Take away is enough.

Found this place round the corner from Bedford Street. We ordered to share a Croque Monsieur, a haloumi bagel a plain, almond and chocolate croissants. They are all so yummy and flaky. We enjoyed their croissants more than most of boulangeries we had in Paris.

Usually love this place but this time we were concerned about the hygiene practices. The man who was working the till wore one glove and was picking napkins off of the floor, then used the same hand to pick up our pastries, it doesn't seem very hygienic

A very good bakery and absolutely one of the top 5 in London. Very tasty baked goods. However, the service staff are not very friendly when eating on site and rarely see each other. And some baked goods are a bit too firm (possibly too long in the oven) but otherwise very, very tasty and worth a visit if you are in the area
