Food is amazing specially the Christmas Toast! Extra credit to Yousef who is working there and despite the crowd kept a smile and excellent service

It was really an enjoyable place and really deserves it's reputation for having their best croissants!

The bakery doesn't need an online reservation, just walk away Frankly speaking, his baked goods win, with each being tastier than the latter I advise you on it and I will repeat the experience 👍🏼

Visited this place with friends, tried their hot chocolate and pistachio and raspberry croissant. One of the best croissants I’ve had in London definitely worth the money. Worth a visit!

There was a queue, so we waited until we were seated. The order took 25 minutes to be served, and the service was slow. However, the food was excellent. I had previously visited the other branch in Belgravia three years ago.

Kashkawan pie with akkawi and thyme, and we added extra eggs 👌 Almond and pecan croissant 👌👌 Beautiful cardamom and citrus roll 😍

Everything tastes as yummy as it looks, even better. A lot of pastry options are available including flatbread. Coffee was not bad but everything else was amazing.

The location is beautiful. However, there is more hype than quality. Service is very slow even though there are enough staff. Food is so-so. You can definitely get better in local bakeries. You can try it. However, I wouldn't recommend it.

The pastries were amazing and I do recommend ordering. Although the place was not crowded, the staff seemed to struggle with the orders. It took a while to have our orders taken, they brought the incorrect items and questioned when we pointed it was wrong, and our hot drinks arrived late. A couple items we chose were out of stock, but at the end we were really happy with out choice. The pistachio and raspberry croissant will probably make to my list of best in London!

Completely disrespectful I waited 16 mins on the table with no one came to ask for our orders while it wasn’t packed or anything and when we were leaving a guy came asking what do we want 🌚 Very bad experience.

The food was very normal, and I was surprised about something I wanted to order. He said 45 minutes to wait, and imagine waiting that whole time and it came out very, very normal.

Best bakery discovered this year. Divine creamy cinnamon roll, not bad flatbread too - a sort of pinsa for a different meal or break! Excellent service, prepared and available, always with a smile ✨

Nishad was our server and was fab. We had the nutty hot chocolate and I had a cinnamon bun which was so good!

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each pastry is done the right way. This bakery has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! Latin Americans do not come here, the waiter was super racist even though he himself belongs to a race that is also discriminated against The place was very nice and the bread was delicious, as were the drinks, but the waiter began to serve other girls who arrived later and served them their food first even before taking our order and only told us that at one point Apart from that they did not receive cash and I do not remember seeing any sign that warned It's a shame that I've been waiting for months to go so that in the end I'll have a bad taste in my mouth because of someone this racist 🫤 Replying to your answer: It's incredible that just because someone asked to be served immediately we didn't have the same right since we arrived first, seriously that day we decided to wait 10 more minutes after waiting 15 minutes and just why did I want to try their bread. I also had things to do, my time is also valuable and just because other people asked to be served first did the waiter decide to serve them? For me and how I felt, his treatment was racial and totally unfair.

I went on Thursday, I didn't have much expectation of the place. However, despite having passed first than many people, I felt a certain discrimination because although we asked to be served, the waiter what he did was ignore our requests, it took us 30 minutes to be served and in the end, he reluctantly gave us attention. after being about to leave without having ordered a single dish due to the lack of attention of the place. Finally, after a tortuous wait, we were finally able to be attended to. It is a waste to try to go to places that seem good but that ultimately treat you because of your skin color even though you consume the same food as everyone else.

Visited a few days ago as I saw an ad on Instagram, ordered a pistachio croissant, Matcha latte and a chicken sandwich, the croissant was dry, cold & old not fresh at all, very overpriced, the Matcha cold too, the service was very poor, I asked for some cutlery and extra plate, after a long time the waiter banged it on my table and said there are some here. Ridiculously overpriced & over rated . Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Such a lovely, warm, and cosy experience at Chesnut bakery! The pastries are delicious! I ordered the zatar and Gruyère pastry as well as the trio crookie and both were absolutely incredible and full of flavour!!! I have to say that this is my favourite cafe I have visited so far! Thanks to Nishad for being so kind and helpful! I’ll definitely be visiting Chesnut Bakery soon!

Great coffee shop hidden in Covent Garden. The service is pleasant, the coffees and pastries are very good.

The taste is delicious. We took meat arayes and cheese arayes, but the service is very slow and the wait is long.

If you open a bakery in Covent Garden you have to be really good and I have to say that these guys are the best in their field, we ate a really excellent cookie and a salted caramel and chocolate swirl, the novelty of the moment, which was truly beyond anything else thing eaten. We would like to thank the staff, all very kind, especially the Italian lady who helped my friends with their English. We will definitely be back…. … tomorrow morning!

The food is amazing only the service could be better because I order additional order to my orders just a minute after we order the food and the flat bread takes like 15 minutes which is ok but my additional order takes even more like 20 minutes and when I asked them they said because it’s adding even they can be more professional with taking order and bring it all together like I asked also the coffee came first I wanted really to drink my coffee hot with the food but I couldn’t because of their time management of taking the order even more the order came wrong. I was really excited to try this bakery, had it in Saved for months, but unfortunately my visit was a bit disappointing. Starting with waiting long time to be noticed so I can order, which happened after 2nd time I actually asked someone. I ordered pistachio and raspberry croissant which was good, but to be honest, I ate better in different places. Overall experience was good, but I expected something more fabulous after reviews and insta stories. Service was disappointing. I mean, they were nice, just not paying enough attention to the customers, or maybe just me.

-Filtered coffee is good - Honey and ghee croissant: I do not recommend the croissant is dry and the honey is too much - The service is bad, slow, and they are in a hurry and do not listen to you well The coffee cups were dirty, one of which had traces of lipstick on it. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of it, and the second had coffee stains on it. We asked to change them into paper cups. - Heba is a place for photography that girls like more For me, I will not repeat the experience, it is better to take a takeaway

The food was perfect we tried the Fig, Goat’s Cheese & Ricotta with Hazelnuts, the Plancha grilled avocado For drink we had a Cappuccino and tea. The place was quite busy, as expected for such a gem in Covent Garden, but we managed to find a table. Despite the bustling environment, the service remained attentive and friendly, ensuring we had a pleasant experience.

I left the chocolate and caramel danish that I ordered - looked delicious, by the way - because you never brought the tea I also ordered. Ten minutes after the danish arrived. Five minutes after I'd ordered - well done! Which was after I'd been sitting for 20 minutes. The lady next to me had also been sitting 'for a while' she said, with a wry smile. One would ask how you would manage a larger number of people if this is how you cope with just one solitary person who wants a pot of tea and a cake (she ordered a cheese toastie and a pot of tea, both brought immediately), but I could see that the families were more noticeable (and, of course, paying more) and so had an abundance of welcoming service. I understand - you're a tourist hotspot.

Worst experience ever!! The food took 50 minutes, and you have to connect to the internet and create an account to pay the bill, and if you want to pay with the traditional way you have to wait around 10 minutes to find a waiter to serve you, and they serve the tea 40 minutes before the food and when I told them that’s not acceptable they said you haven’t mentioned that you want the tea with the food They wasted one hour and half from my day

Honestly, the place opens the soul and is comfortable, and the smell of the bakery with the cold atmosphere is also wonderful. The behavior of the staff is nice, especially the employee Youssef, an Arab person 🫶🏼🤍.

I came here with my friend for a hot drink and pastries. What a delight this place is. The choice and quality of pastries was amazing, it is a fusion of middle eastern ingredients. The staff were so friendly and attentive. My friend and I enjoyed it so much we were the last ones to leave.

It’s always crowded and busy so orders take longer than usual however the food and the drinks are very good . one of the best places highly recommended Last time we went they gave us a free dessert because we waited too long which I respect because the staff were really busy

Lovely pastries right in the heart of London! The selection was vast, with each treat tasting as good as it looked. We were tempted to order everything on display but managed to exercise some self-control. The atmosphere was delightful, both cute and cosy, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The servers were wonderful, with big, sweet smiles and a friendly attitude that made us feel welcome. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to London!

Chestnut Bakery is a hidden gem in London where you are immediately embraced by a warm, rustic atmosphere. The interior exudes coziness, and the smell of freshly baked bread, coffee and sweet treats fills the room. The staff is incredibly friendly and gives genuine attention to every customer. The croissants and cinnamon rolls are heavenly, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – just as it should be.

I ate a pistachio and raspberry croissant an hour before they closed. It was delicious but I think you have to go early so that everything is fresh.

I ordered a raspberry pistachio croissant (delicious), karak tea and a halloumi bagel that never arrives because even repeating your order to the server when they don't have the reflex to repeat it back, not even that is foolproof. It was crammed and noisy. The Victoria one is nicer, but just grab the food and go. Table service is a hard pass.

A delightful place to stop for a magnificent breakfast, lunch or a break with a good coffee or natural drink. The desserts such as the leavened products are of excellent quality, prepared on the same day, you can see the freshness of the raw materials which are excellent. For breakfast, we tasted the sticky cinnamon and the absolutely delicious Danish tiramisu, given the quality we returned for lunch, the sandwich with very good pastrami, the baguette with bresaola and brie (special from the autumn menu) was fantastic. The staff were very kind and attentive to every detail, helpful and smiling. We will definitely be back also because we haven't tasted their croissant, we discovered it won the award for the best in the UK two years in a row! Highly recommended.

Im from London, and as a Londoner we are all busy busy… I came across the charming little bakery in Covent Garden … My feet where hurting and I needed a coffee… I was welcomed so lovely by a lady called edite, Who talked me through the delicious looking cakes and bakes on offer , I settled on a sticky cinnamon bun with an Americano… The manager (I think he’s name was Amar) Came over and checked if everything was to my liking and asked me how I was and to be honest it was such a nice touch…. Edite continued to cater to my needs and made some conversation, Very sweet and passionate about her job… Finally a young man called Simone was just a ray of sunshine and really went above and beyond customer service All of you at chestnut Covent Garden .. London at times is so fast , However your attentive staff brightened my day .. I will definitely come back and tell my friends… Also the cinnamon bun was Amazing… Naughty but very nice thank you all … Making me feel special even if it was just a coffee and a cake…. Yummiest dessert place in Central London without any doubt. Very busy during the weekend, staff took their time but made sure to recommend us what we exactly wanted. I got their new chocolate and caramel bun, and raspberry and pistachios croissant and loved both.

Really cool selection of pastries that left me spoilt for choice. Got the Trio Cookie Croissant - a buttery and flaky croissant with a gooey chocolate cookie, all in one, done super well. Recommend getting it with a coffee so it doesn’t get overwhelming. Not surprised this place has (deservedly) won Best Croissant UK 2023 and 2024.

Poor slow service, you have to wait a long time outside even when there’s many chairs upstairs.. Food is good and tasty but overrated on instagram, you can find other good cafes around with less Not coming back here

Food is good, but the service is AWFUL. There are so many good bakery's in the area, I'd avoid this one. I chose this place as the reviews were good... But they must be for take away reviews. It wasn't busy, we eventually got pointed to a dirty table, we then had to get up and get our own menus, then a member of staff came over and gave us more dirty menus... Then as we were eating our food, a lady that worked there gave away our table, and told a group we'd be leaving soon, so they just stood there staring at us. Just a terrible dine in experience. The table next to us were so fed up they just up and left. There's so many good bakery's in the area just go to one of those. This one's awful.

One of the best croissants you will ever have in London. Try the honey croissant, way better than Arome’s honey butter toast. Or the cookie croissant. The savoury pastries were also to die for. Highly recommended. Great coffee as well. Service needs to be improved.

Nice location and the bakery looks amazing from the outside. The interior looks a but cheap and not well cleaned. The pastry looked amazing but is hardly average. There is much better pastry around Covent Garden. The coffee was below average - what good coffee shop still springle it with cocoa? Also, expensive comparing to other bakeries in the area. We will not come back. Edit: so we came back. It was raining and this was the only place with available seating in the area. We tried different pastries. But unfortunately were even more disappointed. Rude and arrogant staff, slow service. The waiters were confused and couldn’t remember who ordered what and were just confusingly running around with plates. We ordered two waters, had to ask for it after 15 minutes of waiting, got one, were charged for 2. I think just because of instagram, they think they can afford behaviour like this. And maybe they can. But I suggest you find a better place to go in Covent garden. There are plenty.

The food is nice but to be honest I haven’t gone often as it’s so pricey. Everything feels about a two quid more than it should be which I know is probably due to the address.Hope they expand and become the next Gail’s, prices and all.Otherwise yummy food!

I had high expectations for this bakery from all the social media hype and found it just okay. I think the issue was we were at the bakery after 2pm on a Saturday and the options I wanted were not there , I think the sweet treats are definitely really great , the tiramisu one was beautiful, cappuchino was creamy but do not get the vegan sandwich it was not good, just slabs of aubergine and wasn't even soft ! Hopefully next time I can get the items I want.

We had breakfast in this Bakery attracted by videos seen on social media. Overrated and small desserts, the delicious cappuccino saved our breakfast. Fast service and very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.

We love this place. We sat down for breakfast and coffee on a rainy day, and the Chestnut bakery made it sunny. We had a Flat White and a Cappuccino, and for me, this is the best coffee drinks we had in London so far. The food was also great, and we will definitely come back again. The staff is also great, always smiling and very welcoming.

The service is very slow. You have to qoue on the front of the shop before entering. it is not organised. i waited 15 minutes till they took my order. Tge order served in a srange way. They forgot the drink and later they brought it and it was not tasety. They are very slow to deliver the reciept. I think the staff need to be trained how to manage custmers and they need to have priorities. Food is good but is not worth to waste that much time

I had a chocolate roll, very dry and not very tasty. You can find much better in any other bakery of the area, for £5.5 you would expect a good quality pastry. I wouldn’t go again.
