Have samosas there and it’s good .. not authentic yet tasty

Honestly I used to come here for years but after my most recent experience I can’t. I ordered my fave and was told it would be five mins so I waited. But then it would be longer, so I paid and ran some errands and came back in 15 minutes. Then I waited another 20 minutes before my food was ready. I didn’t get sauce with my samosa and when I asked it was such a production (have to put it in a different container? Just give me the sauce like you did the other person!). Food is excellent and normally fast but after this waste of almost my entire lunch break I won’t be back.

The food was the worst (in terms of taste and freshness, quantity aswell) and was very costly, but they undoubtedly kept the quality the same way people used to eat from roadside food carts in India, sometimes even they doing better. In general, the meal was stale and overpriced. 8£ rice with half done cooked chicken pieces...... atmosphere good because it's a public area not onwers

Had the best ever Kebab experience here. Not only does Rhana have top conversation whilst serving food, he also gave me and all my friends extra chicken for free, as he knew we are students. This is by miles our favourite local kebab shop. Would 10/10 recommend 😍.

It's a family owned and run little joint at the very centre of Bristol's Shopping Quarter. One of the only places open till 10pm still serving food in the area. With a little covered seating space its a good joint for both Indian snacks and meals. It is reasonably priced with great portion sizes. The food quality is top notch and tastes perfectly like home cooking. Has some Indian sweets and proper Indian chai as well.

It is a grab and go kinda place. Service was fine. I recommend the samosa, it was tasty and crispy and came with sauce. Nice little snack.

I ordered chole bhature and so many other things it was so flavourable and punjabi taste this was my first time having a food that taste exact same as india not britisher sweet food everyone must try this.

Had chole bhathure. And masala tea. Found best in uk till today. Fresh and somehow touch the indian taste. Thanks to Rana dhaba. Keep serving this great tasting food.

After we were charged for our food we were told there is no omelette with the paratha. When paratha arrived 10-15 min later it was still frozen in places.The chicken curry had no colour or spices tasteless. I ordered a large cup of tea I was given a regular. There was no professionalism from the ladies cooking and serving us.

Rice can be hit and miss, but the other stuff i’ve tried has been spot on. Don’t get the chilli sauce if you aren’t a lover of coriander.

Don't fall for the Chicken Biryani guys. It's just a Masala rice served with a chicken curry. And the quantity is just not enough for a 10 years old kid as well.

Absolutely FANTASTIC chips. I have had a fair bit of "chip experience" and I can honestly tell you these are by far the best I have ever tasted. Absolutely 100% recommend Rana's Dhaba!

Stopped of late last night just as they were closing and grabbed a couple of samosa - they were the best I’ve tasted since travelling by train in India! The staff were absolutely lovely too. I definitely recommend and I will certainly go back to try more on the menu. Dhanyavaad Didi !

The chickpea curry and rice was so delicious! I've walked past 100s of times and finally tried - and will go back again and again! Lovely friendly service and I imagine in the sun, a lovely spot to sit in. Highly recommend!

Good Indian Taste. I tried Samosa and Veg Pakoda, the taste was good and the service was amazing. I tried Indian chai too, if you are a tea lover, do try it. Best chutney ever with samosa.

The pani puri was excellent . Chole bhature was so good that I travelled from Swansea just for them . Overall everything was delicious and I’ll definitely come back to eat here again.

Lovely food stall, permanent feature in Bristol town centre. We've got a sweet spot for this place, thanks to some good memories.. but their food is seriously good!! It's exactly what you need when hungry and looking for something genuine and different from the usual. Food is available as takeaway or "eat in" to their own foldable tables.

I agree with the other reviews - it’s not biryani. But I don’t agree with the other reviews - it doesn’t matter! It tastes great! Exactly what I needed on a winter night. Very nice food, definitely give it a try.

My experience here was less than satisfactory. Situated in the center, this small shop offers prepared food heated on request. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I found the girl at the counter occupied with a phone call, leaving us standing for an unattended 3 minutes. This initial interaction set a negative tone for the experience. Despite the efficient preparation of the Aloo Paratha, which I found excellent, the same cannot be said for the Biriyani. What was presented as Biriyani turned out to be basmati rice accompanied by chicken curry, lacking the essence and flavor one expects from authentic Biriyani. The taste was below average, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place for those seeking a genuine Biriyani experience.

Lovely polite lady serving fresh home-made food. I ordered chicken biryani. It was given in a box - rice filled only half the box & the other half was filled with chicken curry. Because of the curry portion size seemed quite small for 8£, also rice tasted better on its own. They accept both cash & card.

I enjoyed my chole bhature and samosa from here. The food was delicious. The customer service is excellent. The food is not expensive, and the portions are good. This place is better than the other pricey Indian restaurants in Bristol. Definitely worth the visit.

Terrible food, they serve chicken curry and pilau rice and call it chicken biryani. Such a small portion for £8.00 and had to wait about 40 minutes. They took money and said they ran out of biryani and when I asked for refund she said she don’t know how to refund because I paid card. And she said she doesn’t have enough cash to refund me either. And then she what she did was that she divided one rice to two portions and gave us food which is microwaved. Honestly you can buy a microwavable biryani in supermarket for better taste, price and portion than here. Terrible food, terrible service.

They served me chicken biryani that was microwaved and wasn’t even authentic at all. They essentially mixed rice and curry. The box wasn’t even full because apparently the pulao rice was over.

Chicken curry was good. Hospitality towards customer needs improvement.

A bit disappointed with the food. There were no gol gappa, so ordered samosa, aloo paratha and channa Bhature. All of them were very bland and they charged us more than what the prices showed. The place is full of trash and can’t eat there if it rains as there is no roof. Would not recommend and would not visit again.

I ate chicken biryani taste was ok ok and prices are to high

Had the goat curry which was superb, picture not great, but there was plenty of curry. The wee salad was lovely too, with a spicy sauce. Very reasonable, nice staff and really tasty.

Giving 1 star is too much for this kinda food. I ordered for chicken biryani and what I received was Chicken Gravy and rice. You cannot be disrespecting biryani like this. Another thing, it was hell spicy that it became painful for me to eat it even. I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant to anyone because it is not what it looks like. Hopefully the restaurant takes the review positivity and make changes in their food.

Incredible food, fast service, great prices. Especially the delicious house-made chilli sauce and the onion bhaji. Easy to overlook, but impossible to pass once you try the food. City-centre ambiance, but there are nice parks nearby if you takeaway.

It’s was amazing nice people nice food and clean place

Ate here after on way home waiting for a taxi after rail strikes. Great food. Had Chickpea (Chhola Bhatura) and Dahl with Rice, Vegetable Samosa and Pakoras. Even charged my phone for me and helped me find a good taxi company. Highly recommended.

It was very nice almost you feel Indian taste, I had goat curry with rice that awesome, with reasonable price good quantity and most I love. Veg samosa that was fantastic overall good for Asians who miss the Indian taste 👅

I ordered a kebab wrap with onions The food was cooked and the onion was slightly sweet and crisp but the kebab meat felt like chewing on a leather shoe it was dry and offensive to the taste buds also the wrap fell apart before I even opened it and was too over sauced, I should add they offered halal options as well but it lacked anything special and the main woman was very disinterested in her restaurant it seemed that she was constantly talking and zoning out if I were to recommend a place to eat with a friend in Bristol rana Dahba would not be anywhere on that list there is much better food but if you’re low on money and just want some okay food then I would partially recommend this place.

A wide range of authentic indian food and tea (including masala chai) at reasonable prices

0 for customer service and they’re extremely stingy about sauce, napkins and boxes. But lucky for me I found a better, cheaper and more hygienic alternative- Jew an sweets. So now never going back here only to be treated like we’re forcing them to feed us for free.

Great customer service the person that was in the shop was so nice and friendly and asked me in detail for my order to get it perfect. The warp was definitely worth waiting for would of preferred more of that delicious sauce.

Small food stall. Indian Street food mainly. Reasonable price. Long wait to get the order. I had fish and chips. There was hardly any fish under the crispy batter! Overall, not a bad place for a quick snack. Halal sign was there at the stall.

Very bad service!!! We had our lunch here about a year ago and the lady who served us was so good but today we had a worse service ever we had anywhere. We waited for food for hour and half. Simple food like wrap and chips shouldn't take more than 20 30 mins but we waited for about 1 hour 30 mins. I had little children waiting in cold rain. After getting our last item they didn't even apologised. Worse service and foods quality has decreased since last time. Never coming back and never recommend. Doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Best lunch I’ve had in a long time! Amazingly rich tarka daal with fluffy rice and bursts of fresh coriander and cumin seed. Also had a veg samosa: wonderfully sweet and rich filling with that satisfying background richness you get from the deep-fry. Don’t go to Tesco Express: spend your lunch money here instead.

It’s so huge with plenty lamb. Brilliant taste if you like lamb. Kebab is nice too

The food was hot, fresh, delicious and authentic! If you're looking for proper Indian homecooked food, this is the place. Only thing that hurt was the lady was bit curt to me, though I respectfully spoke in hindi with her; but she was sweet to the British :/

I paid the lady £10 for pakora (the value was £3)and she gave me £2 for exchange, she said that I paid her £5, be careful, the lady likes to cheat...

Overpriced wrt quality and offerings

Nearly didn't come here because of the few bad reviews but oh my I'm happy we did!!!! Food was amazingly well priced and delicious (highly recommend the samosas). Nicely spiced rice- all round delicious.
