6 Stars out of 5. Very well managed and run by the manageress, Can't wait to my next visit. Great place to eat drink and smoke and listen to live music.

We pitched up to see a play on the (tiny) stage of the Ram Jam club at the back of the Grey Horse pub - a multi-purpose music and theatre space. Great atmosphere, nice cosy little self-contained room with its own bar - although you have to walk through to the pub at the front to get a pint of real ale. The Youngs special was very good.

As a music venue, it's highly recommend. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy to find, near Kingston town centre aswell as both the bus and train stations. The food menu, is limited to ribs and burgers, both average and that's fine cause it's the music and not the food that would bring you to the venue BUT the service is appalling. Really off. Our food was brought to the table. Banged down in front of us and the server, instead of saying 'is there anything thing, I can get you?' Turned on her heels and waddled off at speed. Not an easy feat, I'm sure! We then had to find someone to ask for condiments. He was equally put out. Who then brought us a near empty bottle of vingar and equally empty sauce bottle. Salt and pepper was obviously way too much effort. So, please go, enjoy the music and the great drinks menu. Just make sure you eat somewhere before hand.

Music started 8.30pm this Sunday. The quartet band were very good indeed, playing modern jazz rock fusion - Tom Millar on piano was great, as was the electric guitarist Alex Monk. Hot food came from the Grey Horse pub in front of the club, very good, as was the beer on tap. We paid £10 entry at the door.

Possibly the worst cooked breakfast we’ve ever attempted to eat . The service was polite and no problems there but the food was simply awful . Processed ham , a pale fried egg and some frozen chips . Indelible and the little I ate repeated on me all day , my daughter felt quite unwell after attempting to eat the full English - managed 1 sausage toast and a few beans . Go over the bridge and there are some beautiful cafes instead.

Nice place, but food really poor. There must be a mess in the kitchen, as pieces of fish found itself stuck under the vegan garlick bread. Fish and chips - fish soft and soggy.

Absolutely recommend The Wharf. We were there for my sisters 50th birthday Barbara, Debbie & KP were all very accommodating even though it was the festive season menu we could tweak it so my sister felt it was her actual birthday not Christmas! Food was impeccable atmosphere was electric with a DJ which made the party come alive! A huge shout out to KP for being our right hand man making sure our celebrations went off without a hitch. The staff were always at hand making sure we had a great night. The Wharf is an amazing venue for couples families or friends. This is my 2nd big event at The Wharf as we had a big retirement/work do in the summer with a huge buffet accommodating nearly 100 guests. As I said I would highly recommend The Wharf. Can’t wait to go back in the new year.

We have enjoyed eating here in the past but on this occasion it was a definite deux points. When you pay nearly £50 for two small plates of fish and chips and two pints of cider you expect it to be better than the fish and chips at Morrisons. Instead the fish was dry and clearly not restaurant quality while the chips were indifferent at best. If I’d paid £8 in a cafe I would have been disappointed but in a “bistro” pub that pretends to be a Belgian style restaurant it feels like yet another eating establishment that has lost its way.
