Great beer garden and decent drinks within walking distance of Twickenham

I don’t live in Isleworth any more. I must have been in my twenties the last time I was in the Alisa tavern and I was impressed today. We were in for a wake and I was really impressed by the friendly team behind the bar and the great spread of food. I’m gluten free these days and their GF sandwiches were better than anything I’ve eaten for years. Thank you. I’d love to come back soon.

Good selection of beer,dart board and beer garden with a kids play area, friendly and efficient service.The staff are very hard working, good natured and kind hearted.I have been working through the menu,everything excellent, the Steak and Ale Pie is the best I've had in a London area pub.

Had Sunday Roast. Roast Lamb. It was a good plateful, generous portions, and tasty too! Was only going to have a quick meal and a pint, but ended up staying 4.5 hours! There was a charity event going on, WImbledon Men’s Final was on the TV, and there was some great live music too. Had a really enjoyable afternoon!

Not been to this pub for a while it’s always been very friendly and welcoming. I popped in with a friend to use the toilet and have a quick drink then ended up ordering food. We had the nachos and pizza and both was amazing! Hats off to the chef homemade pizza was delicious! Would highly recommend coming in, they have a beautiful garden with cute little booths to enjoy.

Attended a party hosted by a good friend at this great neighborhood pub. The service and venue were great. The food was yummy and very reasonably priced. The location is just a 10 minute walk from the train station or take a local bus from Richmond with a stop a few steps away. I've added it to my favourites list.

A warm welcome from the landlord of the pub is a fantastic start. The food quality is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for sporting events as well as quiet nights in. I highly recommend this place

Only ever been here before the rugby. It is well set up not too crowded and good place to stop before and after the game.

Great local pub with friendly staff.

Went with kids and some friends for a Sunday roast. Had chicken and beef mix with extra gravy. Their roasts are brilliant and the gravy is some of the best we’ve had. One of our friends is vegetarian and said it was one of the best veg roasts she has had. Staff are lovely too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great wee place. Good selection of beers/lagers. Very friendly staff. Food menu a bit small but I only went for drinks. Will definitely be back.

A lovely pub. Having grown up down the road and now living in Faversham with the same brewery I was a little disappointed with the lager options but staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Definitely worth visiting

Ok food. Very noisy children's party going on when I attended during a Tottenham match. Unfortunately some of the adults attending the party were using bad language in front of children.

We’ve been going to the Ailsa for many years (off and on). We visited the pub a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it was and by the warm welcome we received. We’ve returned regularly and noticed how booked up it got for Thursday curry night. We decided to give it a go. Wow- the curry was absolutely delicious and great value. Friendly welcome, great vibe, diverse customers and fantastic food, it really makes for a lovely night out. They even like dogs!!

Had a really amazing lunch on Sunday. The service was amazing and the food is of a really high quality. Its a great place for the family or for a date night. We also visited the Curry night (Thursday) and the choice was brilliant. The staff are super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure they meet your needs. Definitely give it a visit, but make sure you book, its well liked and one of the few places that is busy in January. Thanks to Mark, Nick, Jenny & Dani for the warm welcome they provide.

The Ailsa is an old style local pub which serves a great range of keg beers, it has a large garden which is lovely on sunny days. Mark the owner and the staff give a warm welcome and are super friendly, they recently started a Thursday Curry Night which serves great curries made by a local lady chef who really know her stuff. It is also great for sporting events and the place gets rammed on Rugby days.

A short visit to this pub, which I have driven past many times. Friendly welcome into a clean, traditional pub with a very nice beer garden. Guinness was good, and a reasonable price. Sunday roasts were being served and looked good. If I was local, I'm sure it would be a regular spot for me.

Love this Pub. Great food and superb staff. Best Atmosphere. Unfortunately another London pub shut down over the peak Christmas season due to a 'pandemic'. As most of us know, there is no pandemic. Its a re-allocation of other illnessess and diseases combined with massive media hype and bam! you got yourself a pandemic. As Lord Sumption said in October this year: "The British public has not even begun to understand the seriousness of what is happening in our country, many perhaps most of them dont care, or wont care until its too late. They insinctively feel that the ends justify the means, the moto of every totalitarian regime that has ever existed". Wake up hospitality businesses. There is not a pandemic. The PCR tests are a fraud. Seriously wake up. Unify, unite and defy the government that do not have your best interest at heart.

Came in and said I had to get a £2 sausage roll to have a pint. What came out was a stone cold roll that tasted like it had been on the floor absolutely horrible

During lockdown when pubs were open visited the Ailsa on several occasions. Great pub with great staff. Lovely atmosphere with other members of local customers. Decided to try it for Sunday dinner, could not fault the food and service making us visit several times. Well done to all at the Ailsa Tavern see you all soon in December

I have been to this lovely pub in St Margarets (Richmond) several times. It has a nice sunny garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Watched a lot of the cricket there over the summer and they have several screens including one in the garden. They recently closed the children’s play area and put extra seating there. They also have also put up a notice asking parents to keep their children under control and not let them run around. Very sensible in the current circumstance, so top marks for that!
