Rajput Indian Restaurant in Birmingham

My friends chose to try this restaurant out has its new to this area and we like to check new ones out for ourselves and family.Because this restaurant does not do alcohol you are allowed to bring your own in.We were greeted at the door with a smile and taken to our table.we loved the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful flowing blossom down the middle of the restaurant with matching lilies all the way round the room,this made for a relaxed evening. The waiter took our order for poppadoms and later our order for starters,mains,rice and nan.They came and checked on us to make sure everything was OK and that we didn't need anything more.Food was delicious from start to finish.Desserts were offered which some of us had and then coffees with mint choclate.A lovely evening and was seen out by staff also with a pleasant smile 😃. I also noticed that they did do mock cocktails 🍸 and none alcohol wines or grape drinks which is great to know when you either don't drink or can't because your driving. I will definitely be back again.Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

You can see I have previously given 5 stars for this restaurant. However tonight was disappointing. One of our group had chicken that was sinuey ..chicken tenders where the sinue had not been taken out. It put her off and she couldn't eat it. We told two waiters politely ..one said its only one piece of chicken ..which it wasn't. The other was politer and apologised but them gave us free poppadoms!! Why? They will be stale tomorrow!! Disappointing....they should have taken it off the bill. We have been many tines between us all but we won't be going again. To be fair all our other food was fine but you need to sort your customer service. Irony is if you had taken the curry off the bill our tip would have covered it for doing the right thing! Consequently we left no tip .

Food was delicious service was excellent..3 meals and starters £60 total. Seriously folks stop complaining. Would recommend. Plenty of competition in Boldmere but these guys are up there for eat in and take out.

Having visited when they first opened we thought they may have improved, sadly, if anything it was worse. Really basic British Bengali food, and not even a good example of that, much better places in Boldmere, I seriously can’t fathom why anyone would think it was decent.

After a first disastrous visit I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and tried again last night. Advice- do NOT visit this restaurant Fridays or Saturdays or when they are busy. First visit- stand up row in restaurant when waiters insisted we had to leave after less than 1 1/2 hours despite us wanting to order desserts and coffees. Second visit last night - seated at 7pm. Waiter apologised and said if we stayed at that table we had to leave at 8.30pm. If we moved there would be no issues, so we moved. Food delicious. 8.20pm waiter advised table needed and we had to go. We advised no as we had moved tables to stay longer. We requested menus for desserts and coffees. Instead the waiter brought us the bill. We tried to ignore it but were told again they needed the table despite other tables being empty. We will not be visiting this restaurant again. The focus is on rapid turnover and large rowdy parties of people presumably to maximise income.

With all the choice in Boldmere this is really not worth visiting. We went for the £14.95 banquet deal (which most of the curry houses have) and was so disappointing. Service was very slow. Food was average at best. When the waiter cleared the table next to us he brushed all the rice and food onto the floor next to us. All unnecessary. Shame as the place is nicely decorated. Won’t be back.

Highly disappointed.. The food was ' average ' at best, with general meat quantity in various dishes in the ' scarce ' department. The quality, compared to others locally, was way below, lack lustre, no flair or anything remotely in parallel with the premium. Worst was the service; a pressured arena from the start with a rushed agenda - surly staff who seemed insentivised on turnaround only, Our experience could be only described as arogant & rude. This the last resort choice in Boldmere, which probably also explains the general cliental & atmosphere too Avoid.
