Ordered a takeaway on return from holiday. Delivered bang on time and food was very good. The chicken tikka naga was actually very spicy (which often isn’t the case at a lot of restaurants) and kids loved the butter chicken. Good portions, not oily, full of flavour and nice fluffy naan breads. Will be back.

Like their food. Have dined in but prefer the take away. Always briskly efficient and charming. Thank you

Visited on a Tuesday evening to celebrate a birthday . Waiter seemed a little sullen when we first arrived but soon warmed to us and very soon became the perfect waiter , even to the extent of offering to tone down a rather hot Naga curry my sister had ordered . Brought out a rather toned down creamy curry with extra chunks of chicken . Food was pretty good and plentiful, full of flavour and big chunks of meat . Naans were delicious & fresh , as was the rest of the food . Manager seemed genuinely dismayed that one member of our party couldn’t enjoy her curry as was too spicy , but not the restaurants fault . Reasonably priced and even left with 4 cartons of food due to generous portions. Will definitely return when back in Temple Ewell .

All the sauces were rather watery, especially the Masala, the Achari Lamb was really sour. The offer was free popadums for £25 spend - we spent just over £100 and expected 4 x free popadums, we got 4 popadums !!! shocking, we wont be back

If I worked in the kitchen, I’d look for another restaurant to work in. The food was really good. Front of house staff were poorly trained, surly, verging on rude and unfriendly. And, to cap it all, they tried to pretend their card machines didn’t work and expected us to walk down the road to a cash machine. Funnily enough, the card machine worked first time. I wonder why they wanted cash?

went in got seated ordered a glass of wine said no you got to have a bottle diddent want a bottle asked again said no so got up and left the only restrant ive been in that tells you that you cant have a glass of wine you have to have a bottle absolutley wrong wont ever be returning

Very disappointed. Bland, lack of any spice, taste and will not be going back again. King prawn curry is literally 2 King prawns chopped up and way over cooked. 4 of us dined and all felt the same.

Pathetic food, these people make face if we order less food, and they behave differently with Asian people and different with white people..they are there just for money, instead of running this resturant they can just close it, nobody should visit this place .. such a bad service

Was 15 mins late but arrived hot so no problem. Unfortunately though, the madras was not a madras, I have ordered madras from the Raj lots of times and this was not even similar, totally bland no spice at all and very salty. I tried to complain via just eat but it wanted a photograph and we had already cleared up so it was not possible.

Great starters with lots of flavour, would definitely order the aloo chaat, mixed grill [cooked perfectly], chicken chat puree and mushroom bhaji again. The only thing that let us down was the vegetable massala side, which was overpoweringly sweet. Delivery on time for a pre-order and hot food, great for the price, would order again :)

Food was fine but service from all staff including manager was disgraceful. This was a simple curry for one collection which had the rice missing. Upon realising their mistake, a phone call was made when I got home and other than the rice free of charge next time I ordered, I was told to drive back from Deal with the complete order to which they would redo. Upon arrival they were appalled that I hadn’t put the lid back fully on the container and that some curry had leaked into the bag. They went on to say that this was unacceptable as this could have been reheated and given to someone else.😮 after pointing this out to the manager, who was present during this conversation, he gently ushered me out of the door reminding me that a new curry had been prepared for me and that I should be on my way home. Although there was nothing wrong with the food, the thought of what was said and the ideas of what restaurants do to “nuisance” customers, most of the food ended up in the bin with no intention of returning! I have had many a bad meal before and never once felt the need to write on trip advisor. The very words that came out of the staff member’s mouth, in front of their manager, truly worries me! It’s a shame as I have had many a curry from here before with no complaints whatsoever.

I have lived in Dover for years and kind of regret not coming here sooner. The food was good and plentiful. I would come back especially for the 2 person offer menu on a Wednesday £30. Plenty of service staff, though one member was lacking in customer skills and seemed irritated by me....

Collect my takeaway. Always good and nice staff. Very friendly. My go to place for my Indian takeaway

Today i went to this restaurants with my friends. It was really bad experience. They are forcing us to order more and more main course. We were 4 people, we order the food according to our capacity. They were forcing us to order main course at least 4. Staff told us that the boss was not happy because of your order. When we asked them that we want to see your boos then they told us the boss is outside. Then suddenly the another men came and he said he’s a boss but in actual he’s a manager. He was misbehaving with us. Although, the staff were really rude. And the food was also not good. Chapaties and naan were not cooked properly. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Been going here for some years and gone steadily downhill terrible service .food poor quality ..won't be going back after this evening disaster ..gave them another chance so many times .

Very busy but we managed to get a table without booking. Large restaurant floor, would be good for family gatherings or parties. Biryani rice was delicious and very large servings. Good value money. The fact that this place is still going nearly 20 years after it opened is a testament to the owners.

Nice food. Mine needed reheating in microwave. Site offered free item with over £30 spend. Order was £40 but no free item. A bag of poppadums might have been nice. That said would order again.

This was a pre-order so it wasnt as though they didnt have time to get things right !! Most of the food was tepid and needed re-heating - the naan bread was cold - the sauce in the madras was watery - the garlic and chilli chicken had very little spicy heat to it - this is probably the worst Indian Takeaway I have ever had !!! The food should have been piping hot .. we only live 800yds away !!

The food was cold. When I rang to ask where my food was I was told they do not communicate with the driver. It was 45 minutes late and definitely not worth ordering from. Very average food

Our meal wasn’t great! It wouldn’t have even been good it was delivered in time let alone 50 minutes late. The food was cold, the lamb was super chewy the chicken was cheap pieces and it wasn’t particular tasty. So all in all a pretty rubbish experience.

Worst . full of Oil and simply they don't know how to cook Indian food. I never seen chilli chicken like this and the Biriyani full of Oil and rice very poorly cooked. 20 years lived in London recently moved here. Never had like this experience. I have no idea how they got many ratings. Not a Good Indian Restaurant. And finally Service is Very rude. Visited with two young Kids . The lady in the counter and Gentleman don't know Customer Care at all. . They are in different world.

The quality of the food was good, but as the order about 20 minutes late it was just about warm enough to eat without having to consider reheating it.

Used to be a favourite of ours but latest experience we'll be going elsewhere. No free items as advertised, had to collect ourselves with a massive wait past when we were told and no refund for delivery fee.

Madras was watery. Hardly any lamb. Portions are small. Bhuna was bland. Awful meal will never use again.

Title says it all, ordered a takeaway, I live minutes from the restaurant, plated it up, started eating it, scraped it in the bin. Absolute tasteless watery junk. Gone right downhill!

Tried the Rajmahal whilst staying a night in Dover and we were not disappointed, excellent service and food to die for, absolutely amazing, will definitely return.

Called for a delivery, told collection only, ordered through justeat "restaurant are handling delivery"... food arrived quite quickly tho. It wasn't as hot as it could have been, but still edible, we both agreed the food was very tasty, everything tasted fresh. The only disappintments were the naans were much smaller than average, The yoghurt was very watery and the mango chutney was very acidic. I would say of the 4 places I've tried in Dover so far this one is about the best.

Onion Bhaji was gorgeous. Naan would have been nicer warm. Lamb Biryani was really tasty Tikka starter was lovely.

Missed out the mint sauce even though I put it ont the comments. Clearly didn’t read the comments. Not happy with the quality of the veg jalfrezi smelt like garbage.

Would have been nice to receive usual dip and little salad with the poppadum and samosas 🙁

Very pathetic customer service. The attitude of the person who was taking the orders was really bad and unpleasant. The food was also average and it doesn’t taste like authentic Indian food. It was a very very bad experience overall and I wont recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Very pathetic service and basic ambience. We waited for 15-20min for service and no waiter turned up. The restaurant barely had any customers and the waiters kept ignoring us.

Raj and his team always look after us well, whether in banquet night or other days in the week. Lovely food & helpful service.

Having cooked BIR curries for years and not bought one for years I can say I was terribly disappointed. Didn’t pass the smell test ( spices ) and definitely didn’t pass the taste test. Shocking ! Will continue cooking my own BIR curries !

Went to this restaurant three times in a two week period. Each time we we’re not disappointed the service staff and food was outstanding. Would Recommend this restaurant to anyone.

no concessary popadums as advertised

First time using this restaurant. Portions were generous enough except the rise which was small by comparison. Salad was sweaty , While the lamb was a little undercooked and chewy and the chicken was little better. The onion bhaji was also overcooked, tough and crunchy. Overall the food was hot and tasted nice just a shame about some of the quality of the cooking !

Outstanding food, will never eat Indian anywhere else. Raj is an incredible host and is attentive, nothings too much! Highly recommend

The meat to sauce ratio for the madras was not great. I counted 7 small pieces in the chicken one and my partner said there was less in the lamb one. Madras was on the mild side of spicy. Delivery time was great though as came really early and food was piping hot which was very much appreciated as we had to wait a little bit to eat it while putting our toddler to bed. We used to use this takeaway all the time but a little bit disappointed this time.

Ordered chicken tikka masala with tandoori roti for my 5 year old son. Tandoori roti was not cooked and called the restaurant but they did not improve anything.

Food was delivered on time by a friendly delivery driver. Food was fresh and hot. Unfortunately some items missing. Contacted Just Eat who were not prepared to help. Would not use again because of the poor customer service from Just Eat.
