Rajas Pizza Bar in Leicester

Went there for food last night, it wasn’t until we’d ordered and paid that they said it was takeaway only! Thereafter the food was terrible; ordered a fish burger - despite the pictures, it had no cheese in it.

Having ordered from here a couple of times have to say the pizza has been spot on every time. Having ordered online the order is always delivered on time. Ordered on Saturday night and was delivered in half an hour , pizza was hot and fresh and the delivery guy kind and polite. Wouldn't hesitate to order again. Thank you😊

I recently tried the Zingy Burger meal along with some pizzas, and I was impressed. The burger had a great balance of flavors, and the pizzas were fresh and delicious. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, and the person who took my order ( kashif) was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great meal with excellent service.

The “pizza” was so cold and tasteless that after trying to eat half the pizza I felt like I was a cow chewing on grass. I didn’t even want to bite the chicken it was that horrendous and soggy that I threw it. Poor chicken didn’t have to die for this end. So no you won’t be serving me, not in this life time. As far as mentioning price you should have just replied with we make poor quality food as our items are cheap, I would have somewhat accepted that reply and been like it is what it is. But 30 years and you are still trash, I feel like it’s time to move on?

Disgusting food. Better avoid and save your money. Hot wings were salty with greasy. Wrap was undercooked. Veggies are not fresh.

Ordered a seekh kebab meal. Came on a bed of salad in foil. Would have thought it would have come with a naan but does not. Kebab was rubbery and tasted average at best Chips were cooked multiple times. For £6.75 I would have expected much better. Would not recommend.

Ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, hardly any pepperoni there. Even worse was their demeanour towards customers. They honestly don’t care about customers. Truth be told they don’t give a damn. Horrible service. Only thing that was good in the Pizza was the base. Crunchy and nice. The pepperoni was cut in half and spread over the pizza. Who cuts pepperoni in half??

It's the worst pizzas ever the dough is raw they are extremely rude when you ask for mint sauce for lamb chops they say £1.00 but every other place where you pay money for lamb chops don't charge, I also saw the tall guy that works on the front at the till pick his nose and touch the food and picked up a plastic fork and give it to the customer also while he was watching over the grill he sneezed all over the lamb chops and quickly look over to make sure nobody is watching but he didn't notice me watching from the corner wall near front till then he quietly cleaned his nose with snots dripping down his fingers and wiped his fingers on his jeans and t-shirt

The delivery guy was in a push bike got lost and pizza was stone cold probably because he did another stop along the way unacceptable

Masala fish with naan is a banger. All in all nice tasting food.

We ordered many pizzas ,burgers and chicken for a family gathering and everybody was happy with the food. We order from here every week and not once did we regret such a good decision

Had the chicken & Chips today, however the chicken was drier than a Camel's tongue. I felt that it had been sitting there for hours heating away. There seemed to be no passion in the service either. I will definately not order the food from there again. On top of that, the young chappy who took my order short changed me by £5.00 ....not even an appology !!😳 WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN👎

It's kinda of an old school menu. Like from the 90s if you know what I mean. No fancy presentation or brioche buns, just standard stuff. Ordered some burgers, wings and meat samosas. Not bad at all but also something you would not want to have/go for each and every week.

Regular customer, Ordered food for home delivery. Burger and wrap with wings.. the wings smelled soo bad of an old fish. I thing they were fried in the same pil as fish. So i rang the place and they had no intentions to resolve the problem at all. Disgusting food and behaviour.

DEFINITELY AVOID. 🤢 LACK OF HYGIENE. Background. Living in Leicester for more than 19 years, we have always gone to Rajas since it opened in around 2002. Recently we have seen, the food quality and hygiene is on a constant decline. We sometimes order 3 pizzas, sometimes 20 for a large gathering, sometimes 12. What happened? Occasionally on 1/10 orders we get bad service and bad food, but this time it was over the top. We ordered after Eid, and it seems that all the toppings were 1 month old (leftover from Ramadhan), and one pizza was inedible (see photo attached of “keema pizza”). For hours after touching the pizza, the disgusting smell of old lamb keema was on my hands and also totally ruined the whole taste of my mouth. Other 2 pizzas were okay, edible. We thought that okay, we have been going here for so many years, they will listen to our first complaint. The resolution? We called them after waiting in a 10 minute line only to be scolded by the rude guy on the phone, who told us he “doesn’t have a car himself” and the drivers have gone home. Just a clear and blatant lie. Then he said he will go check in the back the toppings, and I could hear him shouting something in Urdu like how old was the keema?🤢 🤮 No resolution was provided, not even an apology. I told him that I will have to leave a review on Google, as we had enough of his comments, and he said go on, I am not scared of a bad review. Clearly the staff in the house does not give a damn about the store’s reputation or customer loyalty. I even told him, no worries, come tomorrow inspect the pizza and the correct your mistake. However the adamant and rude man pushed everything to the side. If you would like to fix you mistake and gain back a customer who has been there since your opening ceremony in Ramadhan many years ago, reply to this review with a message to call you.

If I could give this take away minus stars I would. I'm absolutely disgusted with the level of customer service I've received today. The man behind the counter is so rude. He took the wrong the order in the 1st place. Then had the nerve to say my family member placed wrong the order then had even more cheek to say that why didn't I come place the order. I'm wasn't going to stand there and have argument over donner and chips mistakes happens. He offered to replace it but his attitude stank eventually i walked and told him keep the money aswell. After 10+ of going to this take away I I'll NOT be returning here again.

This one of the pizza takeaway years ago introduced 3 for 10 pizzas in Leicester, and the pizza was tasty and perfect. But, it seems to lose its soul. This is not the first time we have bought from here, and not the last time the food is disgusting and horrible.Pizzas we had are not cooked properly, runny and watery. Taste is so bad that we have to cook again to eat it, as not to waste. Staff are not friendly and very grumpy. Price still reasonable, yet the pizza we had doesn't have any meat at all (check the pictures) for the price we have paid. The owner should consider training these people and make sure to follow the food and hygiene standards, in reality; not by proof in a paper. Sitting areas have not been cleaned. It was very unfortunate to lose one of the best takeaway, coming from a humble and best, to horrible and wasted.

Worst takeaway on melton road is raja’s.The person on the phone on Friday at 1.40 has absolutely disgusting customer service just had to cancel the order at the end of the phone call so rude and full of pride. Never will I come back here you’ve let me down many time not just today. CASH ONLY IN 2023 even the guy selling pan down the road takes card. Don’t waste your time and money here they don’t deserve it

Left me fatigued with the waiting. I've known Rajas for years. This I'm sure was managed previously by different individuals. I've never known to have had to wait longer than I did today which was a good 20 minutes for my order. This was a simple 'walk in'. Maybe I chose a bad and a really busy and stressful time. The phone orders are diluting walk-ins and it seems they are prioritized over the customers that walk in. They need to be able to cope with the volume of traffic to keep on top of the high volume or orders they are taking over the phone. It was a mix-up too I was noticing with one-or-two customer orders. The system has to be better organized and managed. Perhaps employ an extra member of staff to work behind the kitchen. Worst I witnessed this afternoon. It can impact the rest of your day having to wait around. A stressful environment packed with people I shall now avoid.
