Bonito lugar conveniente justo al final de la carretera del teatro, así que bueno para un bocado antes de un espectáculo. La comida, era buena, y abundante. Muy contento con la elección. Una molestia menor - el tipo que sirvió la comida era muy educado y alegre. 10/10 para él. Sin embargo, el tipo que tomó la orden era un gruñón y franco. Elegir un artículo que resultó no estar disponible recibió un "No" gruñido sin explicación. Nada de cortesías y todo con el ceño fruncido como si su equipo de fútbol favorito acabase de perder un partido clave. Dejando eso de lado, disfrutamos de la comida, y sin duda volvería si fuera al teatro.

Nos recomendaron este restaurante por el personal de recepción en el Travelodge a solo 3 minutos a pie y en lugar de ir a la ciudad en una noche lluviosa decidimos darle una oportunidad de última hora sin una reserva, pero temprano por la noche, así que fueron capaces de alojarnos sin problema. El lugar está muy bien decorado y bien representado y tenía una sensación muy acogedora tan pronto como entramos. El personal era amable y atento, aunque uno de nuestros camareros reales parecía tener problemas con entendernos y tuvimos que repetir las cosas un par de veces, pero recibimos exactamente lo que pedimos al final, así que no hay problemas en absoluto. Estábamos sentados en la ventana en una mesa muy bien colocada y nos sirvieron con una de las mejores comidas de la India que hemos tenido. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con el plato de cordero (muy duro), pero todo lo demás que teníamos era perfecto. Nunca habíamos tenido comida tan caliente, servida en platos tan calientes o en platos tan calientes. Absolutamente excelente. Nuestra comida consistió en lo siguiente y el total fue de £ 122. 35 . Excelente relación calidad-precio. Para empezar: Poppodoms y bandeja de pepinillos para 4 Primeros: 2 x cebolla Bhajis 2 x Tikka de salmón Red: Pollo Tikka Masala Lamb Peshwari Pollo con mantequilla 1 No puedo recordarlo! 2 x arroz 2 x pan naan 1 x chips de Masala Bebidas: 1 x botella de Pinot Grigio 1 x botella muy grande de cerveza Cobra 2 x vasos grandes de vino tinto Todos dijimos que no deberíamos haber tenido entrantes ya que estábamos ridículamente llenos después, pero eran tan buenos que no pudimos resistir. El entrante de tikka de salmón fue la estrella de la noche y habría sido una comida suficiente por sí sola. Las patatas masala eran tan buenas también. Así que en resumen, no podemos recomendar este restaurante lo suficientemente alto y volveremos al 100% cuando seamos los próximos en Hull, que esperamos no sea demasiado tiempo. Pedido comida para llevar 2 horas antes de la entrega una vez que había llegado estaba todo frío, al llamar al restaurante para explicar que estaba frío no estaba lo más interesado, solo seguí hablando sobre mí, al decirle que estaba frío no estaba interesado ni un poco, no volveré a pedir desde aquí mejores lugares de los que tienes para ofrecer en este momento

Well we went on Xmas eve to eat in and to be fair they had staffing issues in the kitchen I believe as we was told a little fallout. We did have to wait a long time for our food including them taking our order twice as they had lost it. Then we accepted someone else order free as they had left and got ours packed up as a takeaway to take home. All being said the food was beautiful and I suppose sometimes things always don’t go to plan and things happen. The staff what was there was rushing round trying there best on a very busy night of the year. This obviously leads to frustration with takeaway order’s clearly piling in. Again I point out the food was flavoursome and delicious and we will definitely return. Ps free drinks was a nice touch so thanks to the staff that was there.

Servicio absolutamente impactante. Si pudiera dar 0 lo haría. Pedí comida, sonó después de 2 horas para preguntar dónde se le iba a decir que se la habían dado a otra persona pero no habían rehecho la nuestra... luego se ofreció a enviarla de nuevo y todavía no había llegado después de otra hora. Llamaron para descubrir que el conductor acababa de irse sin disculpas y que estaba tomando otras órdenes primero. En total esperando 3. 5 horas para una comida para llevar debido a que constantemente se dice que estaba en camino o nos habríamos ido a otro lugar. Ordenado desde aquí un montón de veces y se han decepcionado masivamente por tener cero cuidado de que han perdido toda nuestra noche y nos han dejado con hambre. No se volverá a pedir.

Visited Raj Pavilion as part of a recent trip to Hull and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely pleasant, courteous and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. The restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. Our drinks, starters and main meals were very nice. We had reshmi kebabs and veg samosa to start followed by keema bhuna and garlic chicken lamb for mains. Both came with steaming chapatti and tandoori roti. All the food was served freshly cooked, hot and very tasty. Very reasonably priced too. We really enjoyed our visit to Raj Pavilion and will definitely call again next time we are in the area.

We went late on a Monday and it was quiet as the most of Hull was. The staff were nice and friendly and gave good service throughout. All the food was nice with good meat, sauces and rice. Did a good varied menu and also a good array of drinks. Would recommend as really good.

Had a takeaway ordered from Raj Pavilion Butter Chicken one of the best I have ever eaten beautifully spiced, very comforting and Garlic Rice also the best I have ever had honestly together flavoursome mix which I enjoyed with freshly baked Naan . Working around the county I’ve had a few poor dodgy diabolical Indian meals recently. The Raj have restored my faith in Indian food again

The Raj pavilion is probably one of the better known Indian restaurants in Hull but is not one we tend to go to just because of the location in respect of where we are. We went to our usual go to but unfortunately it was full. A couple of others in the area were also full so we decided to venture across the city to here, are we glad we did! The place had plenty of space, however saying that, it is large and still had plenty of people in. The waiting staff were friendly and polite. There was no rush for you to order or to move onto the next course as in some places. Food was tasty and the choice on the menu was very good. Prices were about standard for an Indian restaurant. The one thing which did surprise me was no drinks licence even though a good selection behind the bar so maybe it is a temporary thing. However the waiter was telling people that alcohol could be bought from next door and brought in. No alcohol wasn't a problem to us because I was driving and my wife doesn't drink. All in all a great meal, relaxing surroundings and would I recommend? Damn right I would.

First time in here and came with family. Excellent food, hot and very tasty and attentive service - really happy with everything. Very accommodating - will definitely be back! Not many people in Hull are aware of this restaurant, with scaffolding being up around it for a long time - scaffolding gone now and it is easily seen. I didn't know it was there previously as you didn't really see it when driving - now, it is obviously visible and I certainly recommend a visit!

Absolutely amazing. Taste was incredible. They make an effort from the moment you walk in to when you leave. The quality of the meat, ingredients and taste was top top quality.

Really really good Indian. Service was fantastic right the way through, was treat amazingly by the staff, very pleasant. Great food, freshly prepared, full of flavour, exactly what you want from an Indian, really know how to get the flavours of the seasonings come through without overpowering spice. Will definitely be returning.

Don’t be put off by the scaffolding outside the entrance. It in no way diminishes the wonderful experience awaiting you inside. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly staff in this nicely decorated, well-maintained establishment. We enjoyed nothing but efficient and attentive service. Wide choice, great food. My wife and I both opted for dishes we had never tried before. We were not disappointed. The portions were generous and utterly delicious. The service was superb. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended by the local hotel receptionist. (Travelodge). Possibly the best Indian food I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a massive amount in my 70+ years. The staff were very good and service was spot on. The food I had was excellent. (Lamb Jalfrezi and Mushroom Pillau rice), It would be very difficult to beat this for quality and taste. 10+ marks out of 10. There are serious road works outside the restaurant that have been going on for a long time. The owner told me this has had a massive impact on their custom. Anyone reading this visiting Hull, don't be put off by the road works. Just go there... you won't be disappointed.

Me and mum visited the restaurant as we have been ordering on just eat a few times this month and all the food was delicious. Upon arrival, we was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We ordered off the three course, early bird menu. My favourite out of our starters would have to be the lamb char puri, would highly recommend! We both ordered the popular chicken tikka masala which was sweet and creamy. We were so full the waitress kindly packed the rest to go. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and strawberry sauce. Thank you for a lovely experience, delicious food, fast service and friendly staff 5/5*.

The restaurant was closed to diners due to renovations and roadworks outside. However the manager allowed me to have a sit down meal. I was not disappointed. I had Onion Bhaji, followed by the Raj Special Balti, mushroom rice and a Keema Nan. The meal was cooked perfectly. All washed down with a draught Cobra. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. I whole heartedly recommend this restaurant

Well after being in lockdoqn for some 6 months it was great to eat out. The Raj provided the perfect venue for a great curry. Arafin could of been more attentive during my visit the food was amazing. We ordered food at 17:47 and the food arrived at approximately 19:50 (took two hours to deliver). Called at 19:17 to see where our food was and we were told, it was on the way.Once our food arrived, we realised our pilau rice was missing. We phoned the restaurant to be told there was nothing they could do but we could collect our rice. After we told them we didn't want our curry without rice and we didn't want our food to go cold, the man on the phone laughed and said sorry. When we asked what they were going to do about it, he replied 'nothing'. We then told them we'd leave a bad review and their response was 'Ok'.This was a recommendation by me from previous good experiences. I am embarrassed to have even recommended this restaurant.Also the salad came brown and soggy in a plastic bag and the korma was very bland.Really disappointed in the food and bad customer service tonight.I will be looking for a new favourite Indian takeaway.

Amazing food, Excellent service, visited here twice with friend Personal work, stayed for 6days, Room service was excellent Ramanna very good service, Raj Pavilion Mr. Prem Kumar was excellent in his service along with his team and Chef Mr. Venogopal the excellent chef had special menu for breakfast, lots of verities to choice to.I would rate 9/10.overall stay in ITC HOTEL WINDSOR. First of all I will say, there are not many good restaurants in Hull, barely any in fact. The majority serve prepackaged and or deep fried rubbish but not here!!!These guys do an incredible job, confirmed by how busy they are whenever we've been. You can tell the food is made fresh, made by hand and incredibly tasty.They could probably do with a couple more staff as the ones that are there are literally run ragged but nevertheless, they are so accommodating and helpful I don't even care if it takes a bit longer to get our food.And the chapathis.... OMG.... They are awesome !!

Previous good, but on this occasion the delivery was stone cold and a very small portion of Chicken Tikka with no separate sauce (as before). It was unnecessarily fiery which killed any flavour. I feel totally ripped off, even my partners poppadoms were in loads of little bits..inedible. Wont be going there again..very expensive for a crap meal.

Saturday night we ordered food for collection. When we normally visit the restaurant i advise them on my nut allergy and they let the kitchen know. We put a message on the JustEat app and also called the restaurant to make sure they were aware.When we arrived they said that they had forgot to ring us back, they had changed the recipe so theres nuts in it. Some other staff member intervened and said they would sort it.Came home with our food, plated it up. I was still wary of the 'nuts' thing however i started eating my meal. I then pulled something out of my mouth whilst chewing, it resembled a melted piece of plastic. Not on.I then bit into the vegetable samosa and what i bit into was far worse then the plastic. As pictured it was a metal shard. The metal was nearly an inch long and very sharp. I called the restaurant and told them what i had found and they asked me to bring it in. We went in and saw the lady behind the desk and showed her, the manager then came along. His explanation was that they are bought in. I stressed the fact that if this was a child eating it, it could have been more serious. He said they will get it looked into. Because we ordered from Just Eat we would have to request a refund from them for our meal. Well, 274 people were in the queue for Just Eat at the time! I will never go back here, i dont think i was taken seriously at all. I opted for a Happy Meal from McDonalds in the end as i needed to eat.

Waiting time for food was ridiculous.. from placing an order for starters and for them to come out were at least 40 mins which is not ideal with children. The food was very bland and not to our authentic Indian taste. They also don't have baby changing facility which is a shame....

Went as a group of 8 for a retirement leaving doo. It looks quite small from the exterior, bt is spacious and well laid out inside. We had a variety of different meals, everyone enjoyed what was really delicious food. Be aware they no longer serve alcohol but you are allowed to bring your own. Highly recommended, I will be coming back with me better half in the near future.

Having never previously visited this restaurant we decided to try it using the eat out help out scheme. So glad we did the service was brilliant even though the restaurant was very busy. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable as regards the food available on the menu. The flavours of the curries we had were extremely tasty. The best curry we have had in any Indian restaurant in Hull. If you visit Raj you will not be disappointed.

I am not a very fussy person but I am taking the time to write my very first review for a restaurant to express my disappointment. After ordering the starters and main meal, we waited approximately 30 minutes for the chutney to arrive and then another 10mins for the poppadom to arrive. It would have been understandable if the restaurant was busy but this was not the case. The butter chicken we ordered just tasted like microwave curry from Asda with a tonne of sugar added. The biriyani was the worst biriyani I have had in my life, which had a strong raw masala taste. And apparently you can only order a jug of lassi and when asked if it was possible to take away the remaining lassi as it was just two of us, the reply was "just take your time". In conclusion, we paid a £42.73 for low quality food and poor customer service for two people. We won't be returning.... ever again.

Could not fault the lovely, wonderful food. Staff were trying their hardest to manage all of the tables too and had masks on. Hand gel was present at the door but this just felt like a token gesture considering how many tables were occupied in the restaurant. It didn’t look like any tables had been removed to help with social distancing and so we didn’t feel comfortable / safe and couldn’t wait to leave. The next table to us was probably 30cm away - so much so the guy next to us squeezed past us to sit down and almost knocked our drinks off the table. This was a shame considering how good the food was. I would return but only if they removed some of the tables.

Been visiting here regularly for last 10 yrs, roughly once a week for a takeaway (collection with a couple of pints while I wait)Rang tonight as usual and the lady started to take my order, then when I asked a couple of questions she ended the call.Rang again, and she said 'sorry we're too busy as we've got loads of customers due to the government eat-out scheme'So i found a new Indian which I'll go to from now onYou might be busy for next 2 weeks while government scheme but you've lost a loyal customer

We have been a few times, and it’s always fantastic! Safety measures were in place, which made us feel more comfortable. The food was delicious, the service was attentive. My only disappointment was when I booked online, I did mention that it was a birthday celebration, but unfortunately they didn’t make it special, what was promised on their booking site! However we still had a lovely time, that extra mile would of made it a 5 star review! Highly recommend it, and will be returning!

We came to Raj on a Saturday night and was meet with a warm and friendly greeting. It was great to that they are taking all the steps needed to make people safe and they staff too was not going over borad ( not a easy thing to do in this day and age), The as always was amazing along with the service but they where selling achohol due to there being a small team and more importantly the cleaning of areas etc where put first not a problem we where told this via email when we booked online (very easy)so pick up a bottle of red from the tesco! No corkage fee which again is fantastic Keep up the good work and well done I have been coming here for the past 25 years on and off due to not living in Hull no more and it's still outstanding

Came for an early birthday meal and it was absolutely amazing! One of the best curries ive ever had and great staff. Certainly a must visit
