Fantastic food as usual ! Highly recommend

Nice menu. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Quickly adjusted my expectations. Service a little slow and food was tasty but not wow. Won't remember it as a great meal but had some nostalgia of Brazil.

Hemos estado aquí dos veces y, para ser justos el servicio no está tan mal. Teníamos el rodizio carnes (buffet) te carnes estaban bien y el desayuno está bien, pero no excelente pero tampoco está mal.

Visitamos Raizes semana pasada, con un grupo de personas y nos quedamos decepcionados.

Service was superb and the food was delicious, both hot & cold offerings. Highly recommended, I'll be heading back there without hesitation!

Food Quality: The steak I bought had lovely flavours but the actual meat was extremely tough, and extremely well done. I was literally wrestling with my food. The starters I bought was a mixture of different meats, and again the meats were hard as nails. I had to also microwave the food as it came cold. Delivery time: - I ordered at 15:50 - I rang the restaurant at 17:00 enquiring about my delivery. All I said was I wanted to know when I'd be getting my food, the guy on the phone didn't ask me my name or anything and just said 'deliveries are going out now' and put the phone down. Very strange. - 17:50 got my food Absolutely ridiculous. I should have believed the other reviews on here.

I don't understand how you can give this place a bad review. I bring my friends here all the time, and have always found the food to be good, and the service excellent. Admittedly, I've never ordered a la carte, but the rodizio and buffet are great. Just wish this place was bigger!

As someone who's spent extensive time in Brazil, I can say this was as good as anything as I've had over there! I recomment the feijoada completa - sublime!

A group of us visited this restaurant with some vouchers from Groupon - we would get our meals for £15 instead of the standard price. There were two parts to the buffet - one was a salad bar, with rice and some meats in a stew. A lot of this food had clearly been out for a while, was cold, and not very appetising. The second part was the meat selection brought out by a waitress. This was a bit better, but the quality or taste wasn't amazing. The drinks were average - especially for the price paid (£6 a cocktail).The staff were really friendly, and did offer us a deal if we were to come back - I don't think I will be going back though. Even for £15 I expected something a bit better than a cold buffet and an average meat selection.

It's a simple restaurant with simple furnishing. But the food has a good aulity and the staff ist nice and friendly. The prices are o. k., especially, when you redeem a groupon discount voucher. It's not in the best neigborhood of London town, but whom cares?

Had a meal here through groupon which meant it cost around £26 for 2, considering its all you can eat it was great value for money. There was a very relaxed informal feel to the place. The manager was a very nice personable man, in fact all the staff (2 including the manager) were great, attentive but not overbearing, and very hospitable. The food its self was very tasty and there was PLENTY OF IT! Each type of meat was brought to your table and carved off on to your plate, as much as you wanted, then if later you fancied more of a certain meat you could ask the lovely lady and she would fetch another skewer of it for you! We had 2 Mojitos to go with it which were also very very tasty! At the end the manager gave me a card for a £15 a head meal for me and my friends next time we come and for good measure he wrote on it that we could all have a free drink too. It was very nice and I would definitely go again.

Please read this comment before going to this restaurant ! Like i said in the title it's a false Brasilian restaurant. Except the manager, the staff know about brazilian food the same as me so nothing at all. But when i saw their "traditionnal" dish, it's the same my father do at home ! The staff were playing with their phones in front of the us, shouting with the chiefs as if there were nobody in this restaurant. I didn't except something very good when I get the groupon buffet for that cheap price but I never imaginated it Will be this bad.

Cold and poor quality too expensive

Entramos en este restaurante por que vimos que estaba lleno de gente y pensábamos que estaría genial. Pues nos equivocamos totalmente. Pedimos de carta ya que íbamos con una persona que tiene intolerancia al gluten. Los platos eran excesivamente pequeños. Pedimos dos raciones y resulta que solo nos trajeron una. Después de una hora esperando, ya pedimos la cuenta y nos querían cobrar la ración que no habían puesto. Salimos de allí y tuvimos que ir a cenar a otro sitio. Pagamos 30 libras para nada.

Place was nice and clean,staff were helpful and the food was plenty.Bit pricey though for what they offered. The place was full but by what we heard was that the majority of customers where there on vouchers through groupon or wowcher. By using a voucher it would half the bill and then it would be value for money. Would go back again but only with a voucher

Very disappointing!! Everything was cold, there was more congealed cheese than steak Certainly wasn't worth the £30 we spent on it!! Will not be ordering again!!

We ate here, food was tasty, good selection of meat brought to your table. my only gripe was as we arrived was the staff playing with their phones, not very professional. I will try this restaurant again.

Been to here many times as this on our way home from london. Every time been seated quickly. Always very polite. Last time we went I noticed it worked out over £20 each so I had word with owner who done a deal for 15.00 each. Went with kids who do. to eat so he done chips for them for a small surcharge. Food is always nice plenty of skewers going round all night. (Meat can be rare at times). We will be back

The rice was uncooked, the meat was hard. Not good ....

We used to go there very often and brought a lot of our friends and family to this restaurant. The service had never been great with long waiting times but we were aware of it so we'd come prepared for it.They however will never our faces again after our last experience. I ordered my long time favorite all in one moqueca de peixe. And there the surprise begins.. No cod filets but just some tiny pieces of fish that were hard to find, no peppers chunks but just some skins, 2 shrimps.... It was more like a very bad sauce... They also forgot to put the salad... When I complained, nothing was offered and the guy just replied " this is how we do it ". After ordering this dish about 15times in the past, I am sorry but no!They should maybe stick to the rodizio and stop doing the a la carte dishes if the chef can't be bothered to cook... I really didn't appreciate to be treated like this after having been there so many times.This was the end for me. Adeus!

I've been to this restaurant during my last visit in London 'cause it is close to the hotel where I stayed. The restaurant is not big and it's simple. We choose the all you can eat menu and we've been satisfied, the meat was good. Included there was too a small buffet but there wasn't food you can usually find in other Brazilian restaurants (f.e. fried bananas). My experience is good, the price wasn't low (we paid around 25£ per person) but for my next visit I've tried to buy a groupon coupon, we'll see.

some friends suggest to me this restaurant, but I arrived and I discovered something not nice: all the staff was Italian and they knew less than me about brazilian food, a couple of brazilian next to my table were pretty annoyed about that, me as well..the owner, the only Brazilian there, arrived to save the situation and he was nice, but nothing, neither the buffet was good

this restaurant serves authentic cuisine, the buffet is plentiful the food is very tasty if u love football and meat this is the ideal location there is a large screen you can watch the football while being served lots of grilled meats, the hot buffet section is nice too serving stewed meat and salad The service is good its very relaxed and friendly, its not at all fancy or elegant but its very tasty and nice to visit make .sure your hungry when you go there as meat is in abudance!!

Slightly dubious about the reviews, but visited here on a KGB Deal and enjoyed the meal. Not quite as polished as other Brazilian BBQ restaurants we've visited but tasty BBQ meats, with plenty of options. The buffet of salad and stewed dishes was also nice. Drinks were not too expensive and service was very friendly throughout. Would happily return. We were offered a discount voucher for a return visit too which was nice.

DO NOT ORDER from this restaurant. After 2 hours we finally received our dinner; it was COLD and the steak overdone. When I called the restaurant the man told me to put the food in the microwave and if I did not like it not to order from them again. He then hung up on me! If I was to put the steak in the microwave to heat it up, it would be rock hard. I should have read the reviews and heed the warning since others had similar experiences. Learn from our mistake and DO NOT ORDER from this establishment and rude staff.

DO NOT ORDER from this restaurant! Our food was delivered 2 hours after ordering - 1 hour more than when we were told. Everything was COLD! When I called, I was told to put the food in the microwave for 1 minute and if I did not like the food to not order from them again. Customer service at its finest! After spending over 30, who wants to put their food in the microwave? The skewered steak was also over done, so it would have been completely dried out and tough after putting it in the microwave. I normally do not write reviews, but take the warning and DO NOT ORDER!

Delicious, legit, and delivered without much delay. One item was missing (creme de milho), but the food and service were good enough to overlook that one slip, I'll be ordering again and again for sure!

We booked at table after purchasing a groupon deal and I would say that the meal was good value for money with this deal. The steak was delicious! The chicken not quite so good but you could choose what you wanted so it didn't matter. The sides were ok but not amazing, a better selection of salad and accompaniments would improve the experience. The stewed beef was very tender and tasty though. The cocktail was very nice! A little far to travel for us so wouldn't go again soon but would recommend with the deal!

Having previously been to another Rodizio restaurant, when the GroupOn deal came up I was definitely up for trying this again. What turned out originally just me and my brother ending up being a full family meal for 9 in the evening ready to tackle the all you can eat buffet. Turned up and everything was ready. The staff was polite as we waited for late arrivals and took time to order drinks. Never rushing or getting impatient. Next up was the food. First thing I will say is WOW! Everything I tried was amazing. The plain rice, the pork and cabbage rice was some of the best rice I have had! Everything else in the salad bar was also of great taste. My family especially enjoyed the Brazilian beans! After one helping of the salad bar, the meat skewers arrive. The moment we had all been waiting for, and we were not disappointed! Everything was brilliant and in the end I think we were all beaten, thought we did not want to admit it!While I do not think the meat selection was as vast as the previous place I have been, it certainly was just as good quality and taste. And just as filling. There really was nothing wrong or bad I can say about my experienceI have my group voucher card from the restaurant making my next visit £15 for everyone, and I can say that I will 100% be back!

I popped in here for lunch and the experience was pretty pleasant. Funny thing was I was asked if I had a reservation. I said no and the lady scrunched up her nose and then I could sit in the window. The strangest part of this was that the place was totally empty and remained empty all throughout my lunch!The rice and beans were superb with a thin piece of steak. It was basic but filling and tasted pretty decent. No complaints at all, and for £7.50 there isn't really room to moan. Would like to try some more of the meats when I have time as the meat selection looks great. Friendly enough, all the menu is bilingual so there must be a lot of Brazilians eating here which is a good sign of authenticity. Good meal.

Previously today we had attempted twice to order their food online and both times we were rejected and given the reason: busy in the restaurant. As a result, the money for two attempted meals will only be returned to us in a few days. We didn't want that to happen again so we thought we should call to check if they were still too busy at dinner time. We were told they didn't have a driver for the day and we asked if they were aware they were still listed as available on the delivery website. The man insincerely apologised and continuously interrupted me when I tried to explain the situation and to suggest that they should update their availability status on the site. His blase attitude and continuous interruption agitated me so I raised my voice on the phone to tell him to listen as he wouldn't. In return he told me to go, quote: "Go f*** your self" and hung up. Understaffed and unorganised. We liked their food enough to try three times today but now we're extremely turned off.

I visited with a large group of friends on a Friday night and the place was packed. We eventually got seated and went for the buffet option. Lots of different meats were brought to the table and carved to our liking. Absolutely delicious! Great Caipirinhas too!!

I visited this restaurant with a friend last night. Only a couple of other diners already seated and it remained like that all evening. This is an eat all you like diner and we had a groupon voucher which really was excellent value.I really enjoyed the pork and red bean stew and mixed rice option available at the buffet counter. The majority of the meat options bought freshly cooked to the table was well cooked with the exception of the rump steak which I found rather chewy for my taste.The decor was basic but ok and I like that the staff are actually Brazilian and this is not part of one of those tacky chains.Its worth mentioning that this is a cash only restaurant but there is a cash machine at the tesco express just a few steps away.A minor point, the restaurant was really quiet but my friend had to go to the bar a few times to order drinks. Drinks prices are very reasonable and the cocktail he ordered was very well made. We went midweek around 8pm and it was very quiet but I can imagine this place is heaving at the weekends. This place is well worth a visit and I'd definitely go back.

Wonderful meal! One of the best for meat, can eat as much as you like. Friendly staff. Good service. We had buffet the first time and returned on our last day of the holiday for just a Main meal which still was very OK both in size, taste and value for money. Will visit again for sure. NOT TO BE MISSED.

Myself, girlfriend and another couple arrive having paid prior to our visit and were seated at a nice table by the window. Print service meant our drinks order came quickly and we were shown to the stew and salad bar.The service was great and friendly. The meat of which there were nine! That's right nine!!!!!!! Came around regularly and were Cooke very well and moist. We ate an amazing amount of food and the chorizo stew was soooo good! We will defiantly be returning to raizes for all you can eat!

We had a groupon deal and it was really worth it. We were absolutely stuffed. They kept feeding us which is what you want from a restaurant. However trying to get a drink was pretty slow and it gets busy quickly in the evening.

Went for dinner on a monday. Restaurant was decorated in a cosy earthen decor with wood furniture, and the walls had lots of Brazillian memorabilia (i sat next to a wall of world cup team photos from the past). Manager was friendly and seated us immediately. Buffet part was tasty with a good choice of salads as well as a few 'stews' (not sure what the right word is but nontheless they were tasty so went for seconds). And the meats carved at the table were cooked very well (red in the middle and well done on the outside giving you the choice) and not over-salted like some other similar restaurants. And to my pleasant surprise they served all the best meats first (the beef and pork) before bringing out the cheaper chickens and sausages which was a bonus.Will happily go back.

Brazillian eat-all-you-like place. Empty at 6pm, busy by 7pm and packed at 8pm. Lots of actual Brazillians eating there, which is always a good sign. The buffet part, the salads/rice/veggies was fairly standard, loved the bean stew things. The waiters come round table to table with meat on skewers, you can have as much as you like, and it's gooood! So good, I actually had to stop. Wine keenly priced, and we both loved the well-made Mojitos at £6. They also do an a la carte offering. If I found myself in that area again, I would certainly re-visit, and you can see all the world pass by their windows too. Service more than adequate, friendly and chatty, this is what casual dining should be about.

This is a lovely family tun restaurant. Atmosphere is always nice and staff efficient & friendly. The meat is of high quality and always very tasty. The buffet has a nice selection of both hot and cold dishes.

If you want to enjoy a nice meal with friendly service then DONT EAT HERE. By far the worst place I have been to, maybe ever - and this is credited to the appalling unapologetic service and management. This place not only forgot our drink order, but kept us waiting 50 minutes for our food which we ordered on a slow saturday night with only 4 other active tables. We witnessed 2 tables come in after us, get served, eat pay and leave before we were paid attention to. We checked in 40 min after ordering and were told it would be out soon - and asked to speak to the manager after waiting another 15 minutes and losing our appetites. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told he was "out on a delivery" (which we found odd) and we were told they cannot compensate or accommodate our lack of service and food. The staff were defensive, stand offish, unfriendly and unapologetic, and the manager was even worse. Without apologizing for the terrible service or forgotten orders, he proceeded to tell us that there was nothing he could do and if we wanted to leave we could. We left hungry and annoyed when it all could have been solved with an apology and compensation. Dont eat here!

This Hackney restaurant is on the busy main road but has a nice atmosphere inside and friendly staff. We had a voucher from Living Socials so we had a good deal, therefore I can't comment on the overall value. However we had the all you can eat radizio and the food was very good - three types of steak, excellent lamb, chicken hearts, etc along with a good buffet. Only slight thing was that they didn't accept credit cards, or at least not on the day we were there.

We went there with a bunch of friend having the all-you-can-eat menu. The meat is not salty like the other churrasqueiras in London which let you eat a lot more, hence the quantity is fab. The quality is not exceptional: some cuts are good but most of them don't reach the standards of a good quality meat. Poor buffet. Good service, attentive and willing to provide kilos and kilos of meat.Overall it slightly is overpriced: we ended up paying £30 each (having the all-you-can-eat menu and two pints of beer).

Nice restaurant with friendly service . It's a all you can eat meats and salads. Not for the faint hearted and not if you don't really like a lot of meat. However the grills were nice juicy and full of flavor . No fish though only red meats and some chicken and pork. The salad bar had a lot of choice and some nice dressings to go with

Great food, great prices and friendly staff. We were there the night of Brazil vs Costa Rica so it was busy. We hadn't pre-booked but the guy, (quite possibly the manager) got us a table and couldn't be more helpful. The atmosphere was amazing and as I said, thankfully Brazil won!

Why give the option of delivering later, if it still gets delivered within the same time as always.

At Raizes, they're not here to muck around. When you arrive and pull up a pew at the simplistically laid out wooden tables, with sport on the TV and a shrine to Brazil's national football team, your attention quickly turns to that of the epic salad/meat bar with self-service and the prospect of the big juicy, glistening with marinade swords of meat being paraded around the restaurant by the ever-dedicated serving staff.The lamb was succulent and the pork had a marinade to die for. The salad bar also has incorporated a few gems, sure to fill you up to the brim. This is definitely one of those 'loosen your belt' restaurant experiences, because the food is so good, it's hard to say no!Definitely recommend this for a solid feed. You go there to eat, and the food is unreal and plentiful for a good price. Can't argue with that!

This is a nice Brazilian eatery, good value with Living Social vouchers (although not much difference versus the regular price). You have to love meat to visit this place. The starter (salad) buffet was very nice, included a variety of warm/cooked dishes. The main course (meat selection) was not that great in particular the beef selection was limited (there was plenty of sausages, chicken etc - cooked well). A very pleasant surprise was the desert (nice, aromatic and inexpensive). House wine was nice as well. Service was good, staff were friendly but somewhat disorganised. Will go again, and would recommend although Rodizio and this restaurant is not for everyone.

Worst food I have ever had, poor service and not worth the money at all. I did email the manager to tell them of our experience and heard nothing back which says it all to me. I have told family and friends to avoid at all costs. I've had more flavour in a pot noodle

El restaurante Raizes tiene un ambiente muy agradable, el personal es muy atento y educado, la comida brasileña es de muy buena calidad, con una carta muy variada y una carne bastante buena. Los cócteles están elaborados con mucho cariño y los postres son excelentes. Un buen lugar para relajarse, muy cerca de Liverpool y del centro.

I went to Raizes with my two children and my husband, the food was very bad, the meat was dry and with no taste at all.The bill was very high for the quality of food. I can classify Raizes as the worst Brazilian restaurant in London!

This is one of the worst meals I've had in a long time and I am not a picky eater at all. I ordered some pork, Toscana sausage and bean dish, which arrived as a grey slimey slop with a mountain of plain rice (unseasoned), some toasted flour that was like sand and some grass like cabbage (unseasoned). I attempted to eat it but in the end I had to send if back. Truly awful. They replaced that with "fish" in coconut sauce with prawns. When asked what fish it was, they claimed it was haddock but it was small and not meaty. And if it was haddock they would have included that in the menu not labelled it fish! They had the cheek to include a gratuity charge of £3.00 in the bill as well!

Painfully slow, I mean proper hour-long wait at a quiet time slow. Horrible deep fried meat, salad and rice ok but their beans would be banned in a rational sane world. Not much competition in the locale but try somewhere else for your own sake

I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this place which was the first of its kind I had visited; we went on a Wowcher which made it quite good value, the staff were friendly tho slightly disorganised, the food on the buffet table was cold, unidentified and unappetising but the meat brought round on skewers was mostly very nice (although there was some very fatty pork which was pretty inedible). They had a problem with their extractor fans when we were there which meant a very smoky environment (the smoke did smell very nice though!) and they kept having to open the windows which made it a bit chilly. It took a while for us to get the drinks we ordered. All in all I would probably return, especially as it is a 10 minute walk from my flat, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here.

The staff were excellent and seemed to know when we needed something and came right over. The menu was a little strange and I could not make sense of it; there was nothing about the buffet or pricing for this and how the other dishes relate. I was really confused. So, we did not order the buffet. He had steak, and he said it was too salty. I had chicken, which was salty but I enjoyed the herby flavour. We had the cheese dough balls, and they were nice and different. The chips were standard but without salt, in contrast to the meat. It wasn't the most enjoyable food.

Unimpressive exterior made us pass this a couple of days without even considering a visit. During our stay at The Re Hotel down the street this resaturant was recommended by a friend in London. Now I am just glad we listened and booked a table. When we arrived the place was packed. Even so, the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the food was fantastic, Our table ordered different dishes from the menu (they also do buffet) and everyone loved what they got.Eat here!

I went here having got a voucher from Time Out for all you can eat grill with a bottle of wine, and the experience was awesome. I had read the negative reviews on here first and was a little bit worried, but I was really happily surprised by the food and the place. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed but all the tables have little candles on for a romantic touch, and the bar area is really nice with lots of "Brazilian groceries" on display. The staff were incredibly friendly and happy, and they were really attentive. They were sincerely nice and looked to be genuinely enjoying what they do! The meat was varied, plentiful, and tasty. The waiter was always sure to give us a little bit of time before offering us any more meat if we had a lot to go through, but he was always there when we needed more. Perfect! The rump steak was a real treat, and the lamb was another highlight. I tried the chicken's heart on the recommendation of the friendly waiter; it wasn't for me, but I'm glad I tried it, and it made the experience that little bit different! The sides were tasty and never ran out - I especially loved the beans and the creamy potatoes. I left feeling full and happy and I'd definitely go back - it would be perfect for a birthday, as well as a romantic meal for 2.

Like so many other reviewers, my husband and I ate here with Groupon vouchers. My husband is a meat-loving Brazilian and I'm a meat-loving gringa who lived in Brazil for four years. We were so excited to have a taste of home. We were seated in a sort of converted porch, which was very cold. We wore our coats the whole meal, and so did the other tables around us. We started out at the buffet, which looked like it hadn't been refreshed all day and lacked a lot of typical foods you see in Brazilian restaurants (no kale/couve, no mandioca, etc.). We sat back down and waited for the meat... and waited, and waited. There was only one waiter serving meat for the whole restaurant, and he repeatedly went to the front room, served everything and went back to the kitchen. When we finally did get picanha it was dry as a bone, the poor waiter didn't know how to cut the meat without mangling it. All the meat was dry, the sausages were undercooked and the lamb had a foul taste. We were there for over two hours and neither of us was full when we left, and I mostly filled up on beans and rice. That was definitely a first (and last for us at this restaurant). We know a good Brazilian butcher in London and will be getting our picanha fix at home from now on...

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and buffet. The food tasted off and the service was very bad. They were friendly enough but in no way does this reflect a true brazilian restaurant. Don't bother going here unless you want to spend a lot of money and eat poor quality food. Go to the o2 instead!

went there thanks to wowcher and i regret it! we had it as "eat all you can" except we could not eat this food.food was awful! meat portions from the "portable grill" were horrendous, i couldn't chew this and had to spit it out, food in general was blend without any taste. Staff was annoying asking every 10 minutes if i would like something else, food was uneatable, smell was awful. Food on the hot plate was dry and barely eatable. will not go there again and i advise you to not go there as well might complain to the manager via email but after reading someones review here i doubt it will change anything. We left after just under an hour without finishing our drinks!!

A poor representation of a Brazilian restaurant. It takes too long for the meat to come around and when it does the beef is cooked rare. There was only chicken wings and roast pork available as alternative meats.The A La Carte menu looked better.Service is poor, they don't take cards, and basically ruined my food experience.If in Liverpool try Viva Braziil which is how the BBQ meat experience should be.I will stick to Cabana in London where the Chicken is out of this world.

I thought this place was far beyond what I'd hoped for. So much choice of incredible meats and side dishes cooked to perfection and the waitress/waitresses were very attentive. All for such a great price as well with our voucher. The staff were all lovely and welcoming and it was a really amazing night!

We just went for a meal at this restaurant after purchasing a Groupon voucher. We hadn't read any reviews before we booked but in hindsight really wish we had!We were happy enough with the meal although the food on the hot plate had clearly seen better days as it was all dried up and crispy from being on the heat for so long! The service was slow but the staff appeared to be friendly enough.We were just at end of our meal and had just paid for the drinks when my wife saw a mouse run across the floor and climbing up under the hot plate where all the food was. Another diner saw it too and called the manager over. He wasn't the slightest bit apologetic and not surprised at all. He showed no concern about the situation and said "Yes its a mouse but don't worry, the food is fine. I mean you don't feel ill do you?!!" To say I was shocked by his care less attitude is a complete understatement. We left as soon as we could but called the manager to complain as soon as we got home. Again, he was completely dismissive about the incident and stated 'so you saw a mouse! ok, there are mice in every single restaurant in London. What do you expect me to do about it?!! All I can say to you is the food is guaranteed 100 percent" I was so angry and disgusted with his response I put the phone down in the end as he was not willing to concede there was an issue in any way, as we were not feeling ill. I would have thought that a mouse running around near the food might have been taken much more seriously but clearly not unless you happen to get food poisoning also. It goes without saying that we will not be 'dining' there again and would urge others not to either as their hygiene practices clearly leave a lot to be desired.

Food was 30 min late, expensive, poor quality fairly dry meat. Very disappointed.

I bought a groupon voucher for this restaurant after having been to quite a few rodizio restaurants in London. It was very good value (£15/person) but I was a bit worried after seeing some poor reviews - people said that the meat came infrequently and that the waiters were unfriendly.That wasn't the case in the slightest on our visit. They constantly came round with meat of all types (the rare meAt in particular was beautifully done). As for friendliness, our waiter was lovely and made a real effort.Cocktails weren't amazing but that's the only criticism I had.

Went here last night. Similar in principle to Rodizio Rico, if you've been there. Less choice at the salad bar, but the meat was FAR, FAR better. Their feijoada (pork & bean stew - part of the buffet) was particularly delicious. It's run by a Brazilian manager (who came over to chat with us at the end) and the staff are really friendly and relaxed - my friend and I ended up spending four hours there - they didn't try to rush us out the door! We went with a KGB voucher, but they seem to regularly have special offers on their website for the all you can eat buffet.

I have to be honest, i am a big fan on rodizio style restaurants. I went to this fantastic restaurant couple days ago, and i was very glad i did. First of all, its in a great place, very easy to get to, good parking close by. The food was great, they had good selection of food other than the BBQ. The meet was mostly cooked to perfection and had great flavour. Also the manager there is a fantastic guy, really warm and welcoming and overall i can say it was a great evening and its certainly a place i would go back into.I should mention that i had a group on for this place, and contrary to what anyone says he was very open and accepting of the fact i had a voucher and even though mine was expired by a couple days the manager did not give me a hard time at all, in fact quite the opposite.Now for those of you who are new the rodizio cuisine, let me explain to you a thing or 2. Fist of all, rodizio is a style where the servers bring the meat to you and cut if for you. therefore you have to understand that the busier the place is, the less food you get. Also it would take longer for the meat to come around, so if you like goo steak and you like a lot of it, go around 6-7 pm weekdays, that way you get to be in a restaurant thats not fully empty but also busy enough to get all the best meat possible. Secondly weekends is not a great day for rodizio, because eating all you can eat steak is very heavy on the stomach and unless your a girl of diet, when i go to eat I EAT. so i don't see a point as see in rodizio as just a little stop before heading out for drinks on a weekend, because when i am done from eating, I'm going home to relax and watch movies and have a lovely sleep. Well these are my advice, of course you should try it for yourself and see how you like it. One thing i want to stress before i leave. There are many rodizios in london, and thats no doubt. This restaurant however was up there with the best of them. The food was good, parking was easy, atmosphere was warm and friendly and manager is a hell of a guy. More importantly however, they have descent selection of wine and very very good prices so you will eat and drink in pure happiness. Guys i hope you give this place a try and hope you will enjoy it as much as i did.All the bestKameron

Don't let the ordinary appearance outside deceive you!We went there to take up a Groupon offer and was not expecting anything special. We went for a cheap meal out. Yes, it was cheap, and the All You Can Eat buffet was fair, then servers came to our table with different types of grilled meat. It was so delicious, and there was plenty of it. We wanted to try more, but we simply couldn't manage any, because we were so stuffed. They had some of the most tasty juicy cuts of meat, cooked to perfection.Furthermore, the service was exceptional. They ALL treated us like family members (remember this was the first time we went there). They were prompt, courteous, and communicated with us well.All in all, a marvellous evening. This must be one of rare cases where we came for the price, but we will be coming back again. Obligado, Raizes!

I had the most outstanding experience ever when it comes to Brazilian cuisine. Food is gorgeous - Everything not only does taste freshly made, but also home-made. Feijoada was particularly exquisite. A harmonic mixture of black beans with fine cuts of pork brought me the real taste of Brazil to my palate. They also do the famous 'Rodizio' - it is literally a mouth-watering spectacle. After we helped ourselves to the buffet, a friendly waiter came to our table with a skewer. He carved the meat right in from of us - chunks of meat, thin slices of beef, bits of chicken, lamb... everything we wanted. We were surprisingly delighted and Raizes has become indeed one of our favourite restaurants in the East.

Having seen the extreme reviews here of this place, I came along with quite marked trepidation though had decided that having already bought a discount voucher, I would give it a go. Well, from the moment I got in it was all up hill! Three of us came, 2 with a voucher on a busy Friday evening (29th Nov), and we all agreed it was an excellent evening, and more a meal experience! The restaurant itself is not large, quite a chalet feel in wood and simple furnishings, but it was clearly heaving in atmosphere with a guitarist playing in the corner and the buzz of groups having a good time. We arrived at 8:30 (thinking the salads would be even more tired looking!), we were immediately greeted with a very friendly waiter and we sat near the quieter buffet section. All was explained, we ordered an excellent, inexpensive rioja and a large decanter of chilled water soon materialised (without asking!), we helped ourselves to an excellent buffet of cold salads and various hot dishes including the best beans and beef I had ever had and could have filled up with those there and then! Then the waiters, all brilliant and friendly, proceeded to come around with various slabs of delishhhh rump, pork, lamb, chicken, and sausages, all on long skewers from which they sliced decent slices of whatever quantities we wanted! And it went on and on......and on! The meat was amazing and moist, and as an Aussie I definitely know my meat! We ate an obscene amount, more red meat than I have had in years, and when the most delicious looking slab of rump appeared, the centre as pink as I adore, I couldn't help but force a sliver in, thinking it my last! Finally we were beaten, though not enough to try the sweets it seemed, and I have to say the passionfruit mousse would be a reason to return alone! I last had passionfruit mousse in Madeira and I thought I had hit the best, but last Friday's took the cake! Before we knew it it was 11pm and we had to get our buses/tube back to far South London! It was a really excellent "experience", incredibly good value even without the voucher, and will be back, and soon. Thanks Raizes!PS I don't understand the people who had a bad experience here! They must be so fussy, or maybe they expected something more formal??? Who knows!

It has been the best nigth in a restaurant that I ever had since I am in London, more than one year. The place is very nice, the food is simply excellent, and the people are wonderful. The price also is very low. So, what should I say? Very well done guys, you are simply perfect. I will take there as many people as I can, and I will come back very soon for sure. Thanks a lot for this fantastic night!

I lived in São Paulo for ten years, and I can honestly say that Raizes offers the best Brazilian food and drink and most authentic Brazilian experience in London. The staff are a delight and the atmosphere is terrific. I have returned many times and will continue to do so. Maravilhoso!

I bought vouchers from groupon with a work night out in mind. I didn't realize that you could only use 6vouchers per group. Anyways, it was sorted out and I'll use the rest for another visit.The area is in East London and a few minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station. The actual resto looked so warm and cozy! When we got there, our table was waiting for us - we reserved for 18:30 (29/11/13) so only few groups were there when we arrived.Tulio immediately welcomed us and explained how rodizios worked - it's a first for us. As soon as we got some food from the buffet (I wasn't crazy with the cold ones but I really enjoyed the warm foods), the skewers of meat keep coming to us. I was starving when we got there but I got full in no time! I tried all the meats and liked them all a lot!It was sort of a post birthday celebration for me too and it was sweet of them to join me in having a shot of drinks! Amazing service, lovely ambience and good food! Would definitely recommend. I'm happy I haven't read the negative comments beforehand or I would have thought 2x about coming.

I bought a Groupon voucher for this restaurant and ended up not being able to use it. They say that you have to book online, I tried more than once and no one ever got back to me to confirm my reservation. They refused to let me book over the phone when I called. I gave up in the end and didn't bother redeeming the voucher. Absolutely appalling.

The manager Tulio was incredibly friendly and very polite along witht he rest of the staff. The bad reviews on here make no sense to me as me and two of my mates had a great time here. The food was out of this world, and I felt much more relaxed in here that the other Rodizos in London where I feel you are rushed. Highly advise giving this place a try. The Picana beef was amazing!!

I honestly cannot understand all the negative reviews! (Maybe they were old reviews??) I came to this restaurant with my friends on 28/11/2013 and we all absolutely loved it! 2 of us had Groupon vouchers, we had no problem whatsoever! I contacted the restaurant a week in advance to state that we had vouchers (As it states you need to do in the fine print!) I received very quick confirmation of our reservation and were told that our vouchers were valid and would not be a problem (This was the case upon arrival!) The food itself was fantastic! All succulent cuts of meat from Pork, Beef, Lamb, Sausages, Chicken wings were cooked perfectly. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. In fact on the one occasion when one leg of pork was not cooked enough, the waiter informed us and took it straight back (Where he could have not told us)The décor inside is not all glitz and glamour/shiny such as other Brazilian Rodizios, but I feel you lose out on the personal touch in these larger "chains". Our waiter took the time to talk to us in between serving where as other waiters have just cut our slice of meet and left straight away without saying a word.As previously stated, I would not let all the negative reviews influence you. Try it for yourself!

i dont know what the fuzz is all about in the reviews i have read but we had fantastic dinner in this Brazilian restaurant, the staff are fantastic as well, the food is fantastic i would recomand anyone who wants to experience a good service, fantastic food with a reasonable price and good atmosphere to visit Raizes. i am def going back there. dont let the review put you over see it yourself.Teddy

We had a lovely evening in Raizes. We had a table booked for 8.30pm on a Friday night. From the reviews we didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was pretty full when we arrived, couples, families and groups, but not loud in any way. It’s not a huge place but cosy non the less. Just as we sat down at a cute table in the corner, the live musician began- a fun young Brazilian guy with a guitar doing covers. He was really good, and added to the great atmosphere.We were served quickly by a young guy who brought our wine straight over, reasonably priced and tasted good. He took our voucher and explained how the buffet worked- so we loaded our plates with fresh vegetables, salad, rice, cous cous ect. There was plenty to choose from, all looked fresh and regularly topped up.Less than 5 mins later the meat started to come out on huge skewers. Wow- it was delicious! First came little sausages, then melt in the mouth pork (luckily we were the first to have it, the yummy crispy outer bit!) then bits of steak which tbh were a little well done for my liking but my bf loved it. Then ribs and lamb and wings. We had a little of each, but the waiters weren't shy and asked how much you wanted. Then another trip to the salad bar and it started all over again! Very tasty, roasting hot from the kitchen, we had to turn down many more offers as we got so full!We happily sat for another hour or so finishing our wine and listening to the music.Fantastic evening, and amazing value for money as we had a groupon. But wed happily go back and pay full price…I would just miss lunch first so I could eat more!The only thing I would say, is its quite bright inside, they could do with dimming the lights slightly, however this is by no means a romantic place so it didn't bother us!I would definitely recommend. Don't be put of by some people negative reviews, i'm glad we wern't we had a great night!

I will never be back to this restaurant again, I been there for the first time on Saturday I bough a grupon voucher, very poo quality of food, very tough meet not even properly cooked, horrible horrible the worst Brazilian restaurant ever in London. I think they should close down.

After a brilliant evening at the Apiary Studios ten of us decided to top off the night with a meal at Raizes next door. What a mistake. First of all they tried to push us to have a very tired looking buffet. Then when we got through to them that we wanted to order from the menu they served everything out of order, beans coming before the meal and salads in the middle olives at the end. The food was simply awful. The black bean and pork plate(number 62 on the menu) was vile. Bits of pork fat and frankfurter floating in a black goo that tasted ghastly. So ghastly in fact that no sooner had we arrived home I was voilently sick. Everyone left most of the food on the plate so it was not just me and everyone felt ill the next day. So all in all a bad experience and very expensive to boot. Be warned their card machine has a tendency not to work something about a battery!!!!!

Come here at Thursday night, very limited choices for buffet and the beef dish is totally black and dry at that moment. At first only chicken heart and pork sausage were served again and again, we have to ask for the chicken wings and beef steak, which is not good as well. Ordered drink but never come until u ask twice. Not recommend, never come back.
