Bankete Restaurant in Tower Hamlets

Excelente comida brasileira e atendimento super acolhedor! Para quem quer matar a saudade do Brasil é parada obrigatória. Caipirinha, cerveja brasileira, feijoada, picanha, feijão... tdo mto bem servido em um ambiente descontraído.

It is a very little restaurant and I wouldn't say you go there for a romantic date, but if you like or want to try Brazilian food Bankete is the place! I am in love with Brazilian food and have been trying to find it in few places in Europe, but had only disappointments. The food at Bankete was great, cooked perfectly and delicious. Very friendly staff and Brazilian music in the background. And caipirinha was great!

Asked to use the washroom and was told to buy something....Ended up paying £2 for a takeaway fanta. Colleague bought a take away tea earlier for a Pound.

£80.00 for two including drinks. Starters only, no mains and an ice cream. Suggest checking the bill very carefully. Menu looks reasonably priced but I reckon our beers cost over £8.00 each and the caipirinhas even more if the prices on the menu stack up with what we had.......

Paid around 60 pounds for 2 plates of rice, beans, meat and salad, unfortunately couldn't have my starter because they didn't have it in the house. Not mentioning the mop and cables which were really visible for all costumers. Small place and uncomfortable. Never will come back.

Amazing brazilian cafe. Less than 10 mins walk from Liverpool St station. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Have been back many times and was never disappointed.

This is a canteen style restaurant / cafe. To be honest they serve the best caipirinha I've ever had in London. The menu is fairly extensive, a large number of small dishes & main dishes. The food is tapas style and comes on hot sizzling plates which is perfect to share. The clientele consists of an unlikely mix of locals. We got chatting with a top city banker and a girl that's a pop band manager. Both eating with laptops open. Free wifi ... So great for late night workers.

As Brazilian and South American restaurant are fashionable at the moment, you couldn't be anywhere as far from those with that one... Far from being upmarket or flashy it's situated in near Liverpool Street, 5 min away from Spitafield Market. It's just a little restaurant were most of the clients are Brazilians and were the TV is on a Brazilian channel (or some music DVD) If there it's football night it can be very busy and EXTREMELY loud... The first time I went we only stayed 10 min to get some "pao de quejo" (cheese bread). The texture is very different from the one I knew (in Brazil or at home) but the taste is great ! They were as fresh as you can get (always get them fresh) ! The second time, I went there with my family as I wanted to show them what the real Brazilian cuisine is with their "chicken Strogonoff" and the "Feijoada". The service is very good and friendly and prices are very correct...

A small friendly place at the back of Liverpool St station serving Brazilian food & drinks, as well as other known things. The owner is keen on soccer so Brazilian games are always broadcast. Food was okay, keep to the simple dishes.
