Great pub, friendly staff and customers. We'll worth a visit.

Please read this, thank you ☺️ On a walk with my mate, we came across the. 🌈 I didn’t know what to expect. We dropped on Motown night - and it did not disappoint. Honestly it was good. We were made very welcome - “no sticking to the paths” - the bar staff were extremely good and loyal to the fantastic owner, a lovely lady called Evette who introduced herself to me and my mate and made our night special. I can not comment on the food as we didn’t have anything to eat, but the beer was reasonably priced and atmosphere was brilliant, I can not thank the “Rainbow” enough to make my experience a superb memory. I must thank the customer based types as again they made us feel very part of the experience. If I ever come back this way I will certainly return and have a beer or two! Do yourself a favour and drop in, you will not be disappointed. I champion the Uk, I am a world traveler and I’ve been about a bit, so please seize the moment and enjoy the Rainbow 🌈 Mick

Shame, used to be a fab pub, very quiet now. Kitchen is closed.

Nice to see this pub hasn't been sold off and is still open. Bit of a village hub, lots of outside seating. Last time I was here was 40 years ago. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. We didn't sample the food.

Wouldn't recommend this place they don't allow dog's on the premises the staff were quite rude towards us when there was only two people in the pud glad they can afford to turn custom away in such hard times

I went for a meal today at the rainbow inn I had one of the new burgers it was really nice and tasty I would highly recommend and on the home made cottage pie

Swung by on a Friday here after work with a friends. Really nice and tidy establishment. Toilets tidy, Hot running water and staff behind the bar were very hospitable. Good selection of beverages and snacks. Good pool table and area surrounding it ( worth mentioning a £5 deposit before playing ) Good outdoor frontage/seating area with plenty of seats. Ample parking, approximately 15-20 spaces down the side and back. Would definitely visit here again.

Not happy was in the rainbow this afternoon and someone was taken ill we were asked to leave for health and safety but all the regular customers were left in the pub i hope the person who was taken ill has made a full recovery but the way we were treeted was out of order will not be going back

Nice friendly pub, which i use for Karaoke nights on Saturdays. There are no shortage of people wanting to sing here... lol.. It does attract some talented singers here, so it is quite competitive.

We visited here (3 adults and 2 children) for lunch and had a lovely meal. The staff is very friendly and offered help to get ourselves seated and comfortable. The interior is very pleasant, old and modern nicely melded together. We've been here a few times now and the food quality is consistently good with nicely-sized portions. It's a pub-grub menu which offers steaks and gammon in addition to things like fish/chips etc. Definitely a good choice if you have children, it's very family-friendly and easy on the purse. Lots of parking at the rear of the pub.

1st time here for a few years and it has changed mainly locals in there bit quiet had to ask if they served food? They did I had steak and ale pie wife had scampi both arrived quickly but was nothing to write home about won't be in a rush to go back

Filth and food wasnt very good sure someone was eating my boiled potatoes.becouse i didnt have any on my plate. Pudding wasnt a lot and the cook itched his head in the kitchen.

Service as a quick and professional. Friendly and helpful staff. New chef with lots of experience. Will add other things to menu to help with specific dietary needs. Very clean greens and inviting. Family friendly.

The best home made chips in the world

We were in the UK for a short while and had never visited a small out of the way Pub for a true ale. We were driving through this area and stopped by the Rainbow Inn on a whim. The bartender welcomed us and was very friendly and helpful. He gave us samples of each of the local ales so we could experience them. We decided on which ale we liked the best and sat outside to enjoy them in perfect weather. Thank you Mr. Bartender for our wonderful experience at your Pub!

Tuesday night pub quiz is well run with a number of teams, good food, good selection of beers and spirits, good atmosphere and great value for money Sunday lunch.

One of the best Steak and Ale pies I've had in a pub and I've had a few. Wife had cottage pie with proper chips. Excellent, decent portions and piping hot. Good selection of beers. Very reasonable prices and new landlady was friendly. Grandson was not too impressed with his BBQ Chicken but he thought our meals were delicious. Will definitely be going there again with more of the family.

Booked for our Sunday lunch today 6 weeks ago. We're regular customers, as Mum's disabled we try to rotate to different places each Sunday and we couldn't believe on turning up at the Rainbow today there were concrete bollards across the car park, the curtains closed and no notification from Juliet and Andy. It was very disappointing and we then had to ring round while we were on car park to try and find somewhere else for lunch, which isn't easy with Mum in a wheelchair. Would appreciate a reply from the brewery please as we have been customers for a long period of time.

Charges £1 to use a card, even a debit card. What a joke. It is my local, but apparently they would rather rip people off than grow a local customer base.

Me and my family popped in on a Tuesday night for quiz but before hand we eat, it was absolutely beautiful and all home made! I would definitely recommend the food here!! Everyone was happy!

We've visited The Rainbow on many occasions. It's a proper home cooked Sunday Lunch with up to 4 meats available. Lots of vegetable choice, roast potatoes to die for or mash if you prefer. The gravy really enhanced the meal. Why cook when you can have this fabulous meal at such a great price. It's one of our favourite places, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Our thanks to Juliet, Andy, Leanne and all the staff.

Good wholesome meal typical Sunday lunch well cooked and severed in a friendly manner. Falls a bit short of the other pubs in the area but we would visit again. The main problem is that you can not get away from the bar with the pub being " open plan" which was a bit loud. The pub needs to have somewhere for the smokers as they seamed to stand in the entrance way.

we popped there last night (08/08/15) with my wife and a couple of friends around teatime. we had phoned beforehand to reserve a table and good job too because the place was quite busy my mate and I had the mixed grill and we both agree it was the best mixed grill we have experienced in a long time, and worth every penny. the girls enjoyed theirs too, the wife tucking into a chicken portion and my mates partner, a rather large portion of scampi. the chips are home cooked and quite different from what you get in most pubs. its definitely on my list of places to return to in the very near future.

Well it was a tough day and I needed a pint so nipped into this pub. Fancied some food but the kitchen had closed. Well what can I say. The two ladies on the bar took pity on me and opened the kitchen and served me the most amazing shepherds pie I have ever had. Made from scratch and tasted the best. Thanks to everyone.

My husband and our little baby visited the Rainbow for a Sunday lunch. Living local we struggle finding a decent Sunday dinner, and we had heard about the wonderful Sunday dinner the Rainbow did. They serve Sunday dinners till 4pm and after a day of netball umpiring I wasn't feeling motivated to cook a Sunday dinner at home. After ringing the rainbow just shortly after 3pm they could fit us in for a meal within the next 30 minutes which was handy. My husband and I both ordered a Sunday dinner at the bargain price of £6.99 which included 3 types of meat and all the trimmings. After 5-10 minutes of ordering our dinner, our plated Sunday dinner arrived piping hot, which is something my parents and in laws always value - piping hot food. The portion was a great size for £6.99, plenty of meat, roast potatoes, carrots, stuffing, yorkshire puds, cabbage and cauliflower and of course loads of gravy! Tasty, tasty, tasty! I typically love a carvery, however I am converted! The rainbow Sunday dinner is definitely one of the best! Unfortunately we couldn't manage a pudding as we were too full from our meal but next time hopefully we will squeeze one in. We noticed that on a Sunday they also do a roast meat bap with roast potatoes for £2.99 which sounds really nice so we might try that another time. The rainbow is a perfect balance of pub and restaurant and all the staff seemed very nice, even the chef popped out whom I gave a thumbs up to for the lovely meal. We will definitely be back with our families next time. Highly recommend a visit.

As for only being served. 50ml of baileys for 3.00 I'm sure if you had been given 100ml of baileys and charged nearly 6.00 for it you wouldn't of been happy with that either! We serve in measures of 25ml and so on and baileys already comes as a 50ml which is a double....and as for us staff being trained properly...there is no problem with the staff they all serve the alcohol in measures it's supposed to be served in 100ml is not a double it is a quadruple.
