As returning customers, we had high hopes for our visit to The Old Bush, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We were disappointed not only by the service but also by the pricing of the drinks. The most disheartening part of our visit was the behavior of the landlady. Not only was she dismissive towards us as customers, but we also witnessed her being rude to one of her employees. It was uncomfortable to see someone in a managerial position treating staff with such disrespect. This kind of atmosphere is not conducive to a pleasant dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We believe that a good establishment should foster a positive environment for both customers and employees alike. Overall, our latest visit to The Old Bush has left us reconsidering whether we will return in the future. With high prices and poor service from management, it’s hard to justify coming back when there are so many other options available that offer better value and a more welcoming atmosphere.

The Old Bush is run by an experienced couple who provide well kept real ales & complimentary food from a local butcher which may be a little expensive but of high quality. The Interior is fresh, complimented with open fires when temperatures command. Please don't come as I struggle for a seat. This real ale pub is doing well & deserves to.

We were returning customers of the pub and came in on a Saturday afternoon to have a drink and cob with family. We went in once and couldn't find a seat, lots of couples using up 6 seater tables so we came back an hour later as we really wanted to have a cob and drink. It was full again, no tables so we ordered the cobs to take home with us. We were told we couldn't order a cob without a drink so my partner said OK I'll order a coke, to which the older lady behind the bar said she wouldn't do it for just 1 drink. Bearing in mind we had hung around to have a cob with a pregnant woman and a young child. Her attitude stunk which is a shame because we loved this pub, but they said apparently if you don't order a drink and just a cob you don't qualify as a customer. Real shame as the pub is so nice but the staff need training in customer service.

Wow, what an amazing place, especially if you visit on a Thursday. We visited because of its reputation for great real ale- which it had in abundance 👍👍. But the crowning glory was the free cheese/ meats, breads, crackers, pickles and chutneys that were on offer from 1930. Absolutely lovely with plenty for everyone. We were so grateful we stayed for an extra two rounds of beer. Wish this was my local.

Been bought and refurbished by Black Country Ales after being neglected and run down for years by Marstons, Bank's or whatever they are calling themselves this week. The decoration and facilities are of a very high standard, excellent outside area. Three BCA ales on tap, plus about 6 others, and a couple of ciders, they even have lager for the ladies. A "menu" of beers on tv screens, really easy to choose what you would like. Bar snacks on offer: pies, sausage rolls, cobs etc., perfect. Very busy but the staff were all very quick, with not long to wait. Lets hope this continues. Still the best pub in the village 7/12.

What on earth has happened to this place? Used to be absolutely brilliant, today has been a mess. Family table of 15, preordered, table wasn’t ready, waited an hour for starters, another hour for main. Little apology, waitresses couldn’t care less, food was shocking, mostly cold. Refused to pay and won’t be back.
