Great find, not sure why we’ve never been here before. Food was exceptional, we had four dishes to share which was plenty between two for a lunchtime! The potatoes with the pumpkin purée was simply amazing, but it was all so good. Great to find such good food, possibly the best we’ve had for a long time, worth every penny ! The seating areas are quirky, and great staff, super helpful regarding allergies. Also had takeaway cakes which were super yummy.

Visited for breakfast. Beautiful, tasty food. I had avo on toast with an extra egg. Partner had full English and it was lovely. Service was great. Amazing!

A return visit to bring our son and try the latest lunch menu. Again an excellent meal, really enjoyed it. Great flavours, excellent service and a fun setting. Will be back..ll.l

We have visited here several times and although the food was lovely as always, this was a much lesser visit. The person taking our order lacked warmth, service was slow (25 minutes wait for coffee and cake) and the gardens have been let go abit. It’s fairly pricey and we have always been happy to pay this previously for the food and experience however we felt the service we received was disappointing on this occasion. I did check on trip advisor to see if this was a one off as reluctant to post a negative review, however it looks as though others have had a similar experience.

Outstanding. A place full of delightful surprises. The railway carriage, the informed caring staff, and most of all the scrumptious flavour packed food. Go visit.

Excellent lunch off the plates menu. Been here before but first visit for lunch and really very pleased. Quality of food was excellent as was the service. Really can’t fault anything about the restaurant, food or service - really pleased and will visit again, only criticism is the toilets which really need an update.

I can’t fault the quality of the food and the concept it lovely with the bud and the train. However the service we received today was terrible. It took 45 minutes to even get a drink. The staff don’t acknowledge you at all. It is expensive for the portion size so you expect the service to be excellent it was very very poor!!! I personally will not be returning and feel sad that it was poor as it was expensive. The man made some excuses but to be honest it was all to late!

I wanted to surprise my partner with pre birthday breakfast and decided to take him to Pips railway carriage. OMG! the food was to die for!!! Super friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Thank you very much for this unforgettable experience ❤️

We were recommended this cafe while on holiday in the area and it was totally worth the visit. The lunchtime sharing plates were delicious - such good use of simple ingredients, the salads and crispy potatoes were fantastic. The staff were also lovely, and it was fun to sit in one of the private railway booths.

My wife and I called in for Breakfast today, it was certainly one of if not the best Breakfast we have ever had. We asked if the bacon could be crispy, not a problem said the friendly lady, it was perfect as was the whole meal, egg, sausage, mushroom, tomato, toast and home made baked beans ! I must also mention the coffee which was glorious, all enjoyed whilst seated in an original 1880`s railway carriage, can`t wait till our next visit.

We originally went to look at the farm shop after picking up a leaflet nearby and the shop assistant mentioned the cafe, we are pleased she did! Although I am not a vegetarian , the food was excellent! My wife who does not eat meat was very pleased with the food. The setting in a railway carriage and an old bus was a different dining pleasure.

We had been looking for this place for a long time. We finally tracked it down, and we were not disappointed.

An unusual and amazing twist to afternoon tea. Started out the Christmas season in style, visiting family for the Christmas afternoon tea. The savouries were delicious and we loved the selection of nibbles in lclusing yummy sandwiches, pigs in blankets, mini burgers and more. The dessert were also delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The double decker bus and coach carriage is a wonderful touch and would highly recommend!

What a great place to have your breakfast ( and what a great breakfast it is ) staff, location, and what a quirky place, all perfect, will definitely return on our next visit to Cornwall in February. Advise is to book so you will not be disappointed.

When I say ‘A dream of a café’ I mean it quite literally- I’ve often fantasied about kitting out a double decker bus and touring festivals offering global vegan food. Pips may be about as close as I’m going to get to that dream, but I’m ok with that! Although not exclusively vegan or even veggie, their offerings are inspired and generous. It’s cute and quirky and the food delicious and beautifully presented. Very friendly service-they gave us a big table with big comfy seats when they saw we had a newborn, didn’t mind me breastfeeding-in fact a waitress came and offered to pour my drink for me while I was doing so as she ‘remembered what a thirsty job it was’! Always vegan food on the menu, and lots of vegan cake! Not just your standard uninspired fodder that many places put on the menu to tick a box (hummus wrap anyone?) but delicious well though out dishes that would surely tempt any meat eater. I had the bhaji burger and my husband had the loaded veggie chilli fries, both utterly Devine!

Food excellent, staff lovely and helpful and surroundings delightful. I recommend Pips to everyone and being a veggie they adapt everything to be meat free, so we can have the same as everyone else. Delicious.
