I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at R Chocolate. Everything was absolutely incredible-the food, the drinks, the staff, the service. I wanted to do a classic high tea when I was in London and when I stumbled upon this place offering a chocolate high tea, I couldn't say no. The food was magnificent, my waitress so friendly and helpful, and just the attention to detail. You have to get a glass of the chocolate champagne (she checked I was over 18, which I appreciated because I was almost 32). If I'm ever in London again, I will definitely visit again

What a lovely place! The staff were so friendly. Very tasty chocolate and a great selection of teas and hot chocolates. We got a Groupon deal which worked really well.

Visited on a Saturday at 12:15. I went with 2 friends and ordered 3 coffees. The place was not busy at all. It was assumed the order was to take away which caused delay in "remaking" the drinks. Regardless of this, it was 15 minutes with no customer in front of us for that to be established. The server was clearly new to the job as he looked like a Rabbitt in the headlights for most of the service. I understand employees in training but he had no supervision as the rest of the staff seemed to be at the back. If a shop decides to offer a barista service in addition to its main offering of selling high end chocolates, they need to get it right. This site in the heart of Orange Square is prime and has seen many retailers come and go and I wouldn't be surprised if this happens again. With all that said, the coffee was delicious.

On our way to central London, I really needed a comfort break. We saw the chairs being set out at R Chocolate and pulled over. Us: Are you doing coffee yet? R Choc: Of course! Us: Have you toilets? R Choc: Yes. Us: Great, we’ll just park and come back. R Choc: What would you like? I’ll get it ready while you park. What a star! We couldn’t have asked for better service. We will definitely go back.

It's a shame we limited to five stars for this review. We were treated to an afternoon tea through Groupon where we got to enjoy the delicious assortment of scones, cakes and chocolates, all washed down with "Chocolate in a bottle". What really set this tea apart was the level of hospitality we enjoyed. It's rare to end up chatting with your host about everything from family to the state of the world, and even rarer to be given a first-hand tutorial on how to achieve copper coloured chocolate! It was an afternoon tea that we won't soon forget, and even came away with some ideas for our wedding!

Visited R Chocolate late Saturday afternoon after a busy day in London. Ordered iced chocolate drinks which were absolutely delicious, one white chocolate and I had the salted caramel chocolate. The waiting staff were friendly and polite, and there was a lovely atmosphere inside the restaurant. R Chocolate is also very close to both Sloane Square and Victoria station, in a lovely square!

Visited for a chocolate afternoon tea using a groupon voucher which worked out to be very good value for money. The tea consisted of glass of champagne, tea or coffee, plain and cocoa nib scones, pastries/cakes and a signature chocolate salted caramel elephant. Service was very good, with a waiter who was very attentive and constantly checking if we needed anything else. Couldn't fault the food, nice atmosphere and tables spaced out so you didn't feel too packed in. 5 minutes walk from the tube station.

I have been here several times and the service is always warm, attentive and knowledgeable. It’s an old fashioned place which is part of its charm. Two friends and I celebrated our joint birthdays here recently with champagne and chocolate, and the staff went out of their way to treat us and make it very memorable. Everything is rich and delicious.

Had the most amazing afternoon tea thankyou so much . The chocolate infused sparkling wine was so nice and so were all the cakes and scones. The salted caramel filled chocolate elephants were a nice touch . Just a shame table we were given was not a bigger one .

My friends took me here for my birthday treat, it was my first experience of an afternoon tea. The staff were extremely friendly and flexible and allowed us to change the time of our booking on the day due to train delays. The actual afternoon tea was also a delight, the lady serving us took her time to explain what everything was and contained (as we were clueless for the most part), which was very sweet of her. We had chocolate infused champagne and lots of little chocolate treats - I don’t even like chocolate usually but we ate almost everything! My favourite part of the tea was undoubtedly the scones and clotted cream, truly delicious! We were offered a range of options in terms of what tea we wanted which I was grateful for as I’m admittedly very fussy and only drink herbal tea. The little that we could not finish was packed into little take away boxes and we left the place feeling happy and full! I would definitely recommend this place to others, although it was small in size, the staff were wonderful and made this more of an ‘experience’ rather than just an afternoon tea!

Went with high expectations and I came down with a bang. I was going to have afternoon tea but the actual smell of the shop was not good and when I looked at the pastries nd even their chocolates - I could not be tempted.

We called three times to redeem a pre-paid voucher for high tea and were told unapologetically each time by the manager that she was too busy to take our booking. She repeatedly told us that she would call us back and never did. When asked what her manager's contact details were, she said she didn't know. We ended up going elsewhere and having a lovely time. Don't bother with this place. They don't respect customers and it's not worth the hassle!

This is a chocolate shop and tea house. From outside one does not always see it as a nice tea house. In fact it is a real oasis as it serves breakfast, lunch and tea, in a elegant and yet comfortable setting. Food is good, plus home made pastries. Service is always courteous, by a nice french lady from Normandy. Absolutely recommended.
