R & A in Swale

I used this Chinese a few times but I do not know what went wrong here. I got a Curry Soup, everything very very salty and could not eat it, Went in the Bin and we had Toast.

Best chinese I've had in a long time

It was lovely fresh and hot and great size portions also a great lot of meat in curry and not all peas and onions one of the best takeaways I’ve had

There was a dish missing and the chicken balls were not properly cooked

Horrid burned taste on most items other the rice the ribs was the worse, disappointing this time , not worth the money tonight

Once again a lovely meal. Food arrived hot & before delivery time which was a bonus. We order from R & A quite a lot.

First time ordering from here and will never order again. Didn't even think it was a Chinese that had been delivered, prawn toast was just bread with sesame seeds and the beef in black bean was a light brown salty water, had the throw it all away as was disgusting waste of money.

We always order from here & generally never leave a review but seeing all the (unfair in my opinion) bad reviews they're getting on here, this time I will! The food was amazing - as always - fresh, hot & tasty. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but that's because they're so popular. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Any issues have been resolved quickly & efficiently! Keep up the good work guys

I have coeliac disease and we found this Chinese online, and thought we'd give it a go as our normal Chinese was closed. On their website it specifically dictates that if you have any allergies to call them to inform them. My husband therefore called and asked if the dish I wanted to order was gluten free, as it is normally at our usual Chinese. The response was simply 'no'. So my husband asked if they could suggest a dish that was gluten free and again was told no and immediately hung up on. I found this really disgusting because if I had a peanut allergy or something more serious then I would expect the restaurant to be educated enough to advise of the most appropriate things on the menu for me. To just say no and hang up is disgusting and their customer service needs to be really looked at.

Quick delivery but poor food! Dry satay chicken and rice! No wonder it arrived so quick…

Ordered Sui Mai which is steamed dumplings and they looked like they were microwaved. Also didn’t trust that they were cooked thoroughly, ended up throwing in the bin. Shame as normally the dumplings are great. The rest of the food was ok, not up to the usual standard, probably won’t order again

After waiting over a hour and a half and phone calls made to see where my order was my order turned up missing items and had been given random things we didn't order or eat. Then on top of that me and my little daughters chicken chow mein and fish fingers arrived burnt and are egg fried rice and chips was so bland and dry the whole dinner was not edible and we had to throw it away. Contacted uber and they couldn't help what a waste of £40 treat for the family.

Delivery time wasn’t updated until it had gone past estimated delivery and not til I phoned up where the line was really bad and they said another 25mins which was another 45 mins. Food was cold. Food was not good quality. Rice was dry. Duck was mainly bone and what meat was provided was very greasy and fatty. Won’t be ordering again.

The roast pork noodles had no pork, kind of an important component if you ask me. The quality of what was there was really high, you just kind of expect pork with pork noodles.

Always used these but really awful tonight no chicken in the chicken chow mein and the beef tasted off and like rubber in the beef and mushrooms won't ever be using again!

Food ordered at 19.10, arrived at 21.45. Satay chicken watery and didn’t taste of peanut/satay at all. Special rice literally a few vegetables on top of normal fried rice. Regular customers but tonight this was terrible service and over seasoned poor food costing just under £50. Not happy.

3.5 hours to have cold food delivered is not we wanted for nearly £60! 😔

Food was decent but not happy with the wait time

I’ve used your service for a long time and spent lots of money. My last order wasn’t nice at all it was reheated or made with no care. After using you for so long and spending so much money I would have thought you would have looked after your regular customers. I will not be using your services anymore. I’m curious to see what your actions will be to keep me using you

The curry used to be a green/yellow colour, this one was red and tasted of aniseed. The spring rolls had lumps of gristle in them. Not what I was expecting or remember from my previous experiences.

Half an hour but traffic was bad

Pre ordered for a time and was still late. Food was ok quality, but cold by the time it eventually got to me.

If you want the wrong main and chips that have been microwaved then go for it

Food was cold when it arrived. The satay chicken and crispy lamb were both so tough and dry, making them almost inedible. Pineapple fritters were cold and very greasy.

Very stingey on sweet and sour sauce pot, ordered 10 chicken balls and wasn't enough. Chicken rice dead with chewy strip chicken. And the bbq chips also not enough sauce dry. Havein said that the Singapore noodles here are beautiful. And the chicken balls were nice. It was here early and hot and would order again if tweeks were made.

The satay chicken skewers were dry and the sauce tasted diluted. The pancake rolls didn't taste of anything other than a little salt. The Salt and chilli prawns had hardly any seasoning and the batter tasted burnt. I've yet to try the noodles because my appetite is already ruined. They were on time and polite but the food really let them down. Edit* So I thought it only fair to leave a review on the rest of the meal that I had the following day. The mixed meat udon noodles with sauce were lovely. Lots of flavor and a good size portion. The mini spring rolls, which I received free of charge because of the cost of my order, were quite good, had a nice sweetness to them.

Delivery person was lovely - smiling and said for us to enjoy our meal. Food arrived in good time - hot, tasting freshly cooked and full of flavour - Perfect. Thank you for the prawn crackers and mini spring rolls.

The food here is always and consistently at a high standard. Love ordering from here because I know it will be so worth it.

On phoning them they asked to box up the order and they'll collect it to swap it around-this was after they had asked me to open up each item to tell them what was in it so that they could identify the order. When I suggested that this was unhygienic and unacceptable as we had opened the food before realising, and the other party was likely to have done the same, they agreed to send a newly cooked order. Whilst eating the finally delivered food my sister experience this thin black/silver wire in her mouth, almost swallowing it, and it came from the beef black bean sauce she was eating. We were all instantly turned off the food, worried what else might be in it, and so had to dump the lot.

Arrived very quickly Meal was decent. Really enjoyed.

Food very bland , very sugary flavoured as if to mask the blandness , won’t use again .

Order was ready half hour before my collection time

Had to phone the restaurant after waiting 1.5 hrs to be told it was next one out with the delivery driver but then got to over 2 hrs and when I spoke to them again they said the same and it was half 9 by then so cancelled the order. Was only offered a bottle of coke as an apology but when paying so much I expect to be able to enjoy my food at a reasonable time. No idea how it can take so long to get an order out to a customer. Now waiting for a refund.

I’m sorry to say this was the worse Chinese iv eaten in a long time I used to order from here all the time and it was alway lovely , I ordered the crispy duck and it was soggy 🤮 it was a big let down and I will never order from here again

Smashing food as normal, there's only been a couple of times the food hasn't been upto par and we order from A&R quite alot. The food is expensive but we'll worth the money. Overall 5 out of 5 for us.

Ordered from here twice and both times had severe diarrhoea the next day. First time was from a special curry and egg fried rice and the next was with a king prawn curry. They must not cook meat properly as I can eat a madras and feel fine.

The food was lovely! Big portions and piping hot. Will definitely be back.

It saddens me to say, the starters are, unfortunately, not the best quality, the prawn toast, comes out, rubbery, tasteless and chewy. As for the main course is no issues there at all, I would recommend that you try the main courses and stay away from the starters, they offer, curry, cushions, bland, and tasteless, spring rolls, bland, and tasteless. Once again, the main courses are of good quality.

Fantastic food arrived hot and 40 minutes earlier than the planned time.
