Really good chinese takeaway. Love the satay chicken skewers

Very tasty 1st time trying and was pleasantly surprised my normal Chinese is guite greasy but this wasn't at all

We always order from here & generally never leave a review but seeing all the (unfair in my opinion) bad reviews they're getting on here, this time I will! The food was amazing - as always - fresh, hot & tasty. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but that's because they're so popular. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Any issues have been resolved quickly & efficiently! Keep up the good work guys

I have coeliac disease and we found this Chinese online, and thought we'd give it a go as our normal Chinese was closed. On their website it specifically dictates that if you have any allergies to call them to inform them. My husband therefore called and asked if the dish I wanted to order was gluten free, as it is normally at our usual Chinese. The response was simply 'no'. So my husband asked if they could suggest a dish that was gluten free and again was told no and immediately hung up on. I found this really disgusting because if I had a peanut allergy or something more serious then I would expect the restaurant to be educated enough to advise of the most appropriate things on the menu for me. To just say no and hang up is disgusting and their customer service needs to be really looked at.

After waiting over a hour and a half and phone calls made to see where my order was my order turned up missing items and had been given random things we didn't order or eat. Then on top of that me and my little daughters chicken chow mein and fish fingers arrived burnt and are egg fried rice and chips was so bland and dry the whole dinner was not edible and we had to throw it away. Contacted uber and they couldn't help what a waste of £40 treat for the family.

The satay chicken skewers were dry and the sauce tasted diluted. The pancake rolls didn't taste of anything other than a little salt. The Salt and chilli prawns had hardly any seasoning and the batter tasted burnt. I've yet to try the noodles because my appetite is already ruined. They were on time and polite but the food really let them down. Edit* So I thought it only fair to leave a review on the rest of the meal that I had the following day. The mixed meat udon noodles with sauce were lovely. Lots of flavor and a good size portion. The mini spring rolls, which I received free of charge because of the cost of my order, were quite good, had a nice sweetness to them.

The order was 2 hours late as they originally mixed it up sending us another person's dinner and vice versa. On phoning them they asked to box up the order and they'll collect it to swap it around-this was after they had asked me to open up each item to tell them what was in it so that they could identify the order. When I suggested that this was unhygienic and unacceptable as we had opened the food before realising, and the other party was likely to have done the same, they agreed to send a newly cooked order. Whilst eating the finally delivered food my sister experience this thin black/silver wire in her mouth, almost swallowing it, and it came from the beef black bean sauce she was eating. We were all instantly turned off the food, worried what else might be in it, and so had to dump the lot.

I’m sorry to say this was the worse Chinese iv eaten in a long time I used to order from here all the time and it was alway lovely , I ordered the crispy duck and it was soggy 🤮 it was a big let down and I will never order from here again

Ordered from here twice and both times had severe diarrhoea the next day. First time was from a special curry and egg fried rice and the next was with a king prawn curry. They must not cook meat properly as I can eat a madras and feel fine.

Cold Heading to me for 40 minutes. Unacceptable.

Wanted to leave a long over due review for the highest quality food and customer service from R&A. Chef has always been truly kind with my orders and reading special notes like no vegetables or chillies with dishes. The Peking sauce with beef or soft chicken is my favourite from this local restaurant. Delivery always provided by the kindest people. Highly recommended to anyone in the area looking for really good food and flavour.

Knew that there would be a wait for delivery but ordered to account for that. Food was hot, delicious and worth the wait.

The delivery came within 15 minutes of us ordering the food, which I thought was very quick considering it said 1hr delivery.. The special fried rice was plain as! The chicken balls and the sweet and sour sauce were also both tasteless...very stingy with portion sizes, especially the sauces. Previous Chinese take away's I've been too, have had much bigger portion sizes amd actual tasty food.... Food also arrived warm not pipping hot like other take away's. Very very disappointed and won't be returning. If you want flavoured food then avoid this place!

Used to be good... gone downhill rapidly over the past few months...2 years later absolutely shocking...30 to 45 minute delivery now is 1 and half to 3 hours....have used them for 20 years...today is the LAST..food is cold and prices gone up Massively and delivery gone Massively DIWNHILL

Waited 1 1/2 hours for delivery food was ok

Awful delivery and service. Waited over two hours for our food, when we hadn't even ordered much. Complained on the phone multiple times and I just kept getting empty apologies. I feel sorry for the driver, he seemed nice and they were just constantly blaming him, even though they hadn't even started cooking our food for an hour and a half.

3.5/5 I was impressed the food delivery came in 15 minutes early. Food delivered to Teynham on a Saturday night. Free Chinese crackers was also included. The food though was average. Steamed rice- ok Roast Duck- good however loads of unnecessary mung bean sprouts Pork Vermicelli- good Chicken chopsuey- it was like sweet and sour chicken; again loads of mung been sprouts.

Ordered from here last night.....it will be the last time........absolutely awful. First time Ive ever had pink chicken chop suey which didnt taste right and the prawn toast was terrible. It seemed as though it had been cooked hours before and left on the heat.

I'm sorry but the worst chinese ever had will not be using them again

Normally order from here and it's usually awesome. Ordered meal for 2 on the 3rd if december and it was aweful. Stingy portions (tubs barely filled) , tasted really bland, batter on chicken balls was barely cooked, no chicken in the chicken chow mein and recieved a small pot of sweet and sour sauce for 1. Maybe a bad night but if it carries on I won't be ordering again.

Food was absolutely disgusting... I ordered 3 dishes last night and all of them were full of nothing but onions. Even the prawns in satay sause had like 5 prawns in there, the rest all onions. I am extremely disappointed. Would deffinately never order again

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered ribs and they stunk. They looked grey. I called the manager back and politely informed him about the ribs smelling, tough as old boots and the colour of them. It was met with hostility and he was very rude. I hadn’t even asked for any money or even for him to redo the order. I just wanted him to know that he had served me bad gone off ribs and gave him an opportunity to make it right. He never. So i would avoid this place like the plague. Unless you want food poisoning.

Tuesday night and both Chinese takeaways in TEYNHAM are closed. A third in Sittingbourne, also shut. So I went on Google and found R&A. Now, Tuesday nights or any other night for that matter, we shall be using R&A in future. Everything was best quality. Ribs, ummm, special fried rice, a meal in itself. Dumplings and spring rolls? No better anywhere. Thank you R&A for a first class meal.

I genuinely will only be using this chinese from now on! Had a very big order yesterday made through food hub, had to write a lot of alterations in the notes due to allergies and so on. Our food was delivered in about an hour and all was hot and delicious! No problems with any dish! Recommended 100%

Finally found a Chinese that knows how to cook Singapore Rice Noodles. Every other Chinese I've tried, they've either been bland and full of bean sprouts and just no spice. These were just perfect! I added a note which was clearly read and listened too. I couldn't see salt and Chilli chips on their menu online so added plain chips and asked if they could. They did which was lovely. Also added extra spice to my noodles as asked. Delivery time was normal and arrived on time. All other food was hot and lovely and I found the prices here normal. Certainly not an overpriced Chinese like some have said. Overall, I'm glad I decided to try this Chinese and will definitely be ordering again.

Great food and friendly staff best in sittingbourne

Have used this place for years but since the refurbishment the prices have shot up which I dont have a huge problem with however the quality of food has gone terrible prawn balls where cremated crackers where stale and actually feel sick after eating it food has gone tasteless. Such a shame used to love it i dont understand why people try to fix something that wasnt broken and now has gone downhill.

Used to use r and a all the time I orderd a Chinese last week as they had remordernised it called and the regular lady that works there was very rood on the phone and they have put there prices up since they refurbished it will defanatly not use r and a again due to the roodness of the lady on the telephone and also because they are expensive will be going else

I just got delivery. The driver must have driving madly. My husband curry was half in the carry bag and a bit in my crispy chilly beef . So he ended up with half a dinner when I rang they wanted to do again but send it back. By then I had plated up what I could as hubby was hungry. Not very apologetic or even said we I'll knock money off next time. So hubby said we aren't using them again. It's not the first time it's happened.

One of the best Chinese takeaways I know, great food, friendly service, reasonably priced. Their mix-&-match offering a wide choice of two dishes and a drink for £6 is ideal for those on our own.

Always get delivery from here only wait 30 minutes food is hot and fresh best Chinese in sittingbourne....

I spent over 40pound an they messed the order up it was wrong !!!! Did used to like it here but gone down hill now I think nice food tho lol service needs more improvement.......
