Simply the best bakery by far distance. Superior quality, excellent range of products and service. Much better than rubbish they nowadays sell in supermarkets!

A lovely independent bakery. Very friendly staff - always service with a smile! Our usual order is a pain aux raisin and an almond croissant - delicious every time. We've also tried a few of their bread varieties and are never disappointed. A wonderful treat. We have to stop ourselves from going too often!

As a resident of Hitchin I have the privilege and pleasure of being able to eat from Quotidian all the time. Over the years I've sampled most of their wonderful produce and their bread is absolutely amazing. So much so that I abandoned my own sourdough starter in the fridge years ago as it seemed pointless baking my own when I had such quality and value on my doorstep. My favourite product is their almond crossisant. I've eaten a lot of almond croissants in my time including the best I can find in France and London. Nothing comes close. I'm inclined not to write that as they frequently sell out before I get to them and that makes me a bit sad. If you're looking for a for somewhere to buy great bread, pastries or a grab a quick snack then I don't think Hitchin can offer better than Quotidian.

I visited the Hitchin food fair on Sunday and I bought Quotidians mini pizza for me and an Apple pastry thingy for my husband. They were divine. My Mediterranean veggie pizza was so tasty and reminded me of my mum’s homemade pizzas - piled high with tasty veg and olives. My husband said his Apple pastry was the best he’d ever tasted. We often pop in and buy something from their shop. The best bakery ever AND their prices are so reasonable, unlike some of the other stalls at the fair!

I have travelled the world and seen so many bakeries and by far this is the best bakery I have visited. Very reasonably priced and amazing value for money! The brownies and pastries are divine, and give you a really mouth sensation feeling. I visit this bakery near enough every day and I will carry on till my death bed. Thank you so much to the family that runs this place especially Lottie.

Quotidian stands out for many of their products that are handcrafted and you can see through the window how they make them.

This is an extremely popular shop in the wonderful market town of Hitchin. You often have to join a long queue and wait your turn to sample the mouthwatering delights on offer. All the breads, pasteries etc baked on the premises and there is a few tables and chairs if you want to eat in. Get in the queue and give it a try

This isnt a travel review. We live in hitchin and this place is fabulous. Go past at the crack of dawn and you will see the propieter firing up his oven and shortly thereafter (well by about 6:30 am) you can purchase te world's best croissants, beautiful breads of all types, quiches, tarts. But don't come after 4pm. He will be sold out and shut. Top tip go at about 8:30am and have a coffee and an almond croissant in his little eating area. Heaven.

Chocolate cake supplied by this shop for a birthday party (about 15 people) was the best we have ever tasted. But don't take our word for it - try it for yourself!

I always go here now for Ciabattas rather then my local supermarket as they are far superior to what you could get there and reasonably priced and taste amazing. Every time I've been there has always been a queue sometimes out of the door which speaks more about this place then any review could. Staff are always friendly and helpful and everyone I've ever spoken to about Quotidian sings it's praises.

Simply we get our bread and olive oil from here, theres a big choice of different types from lemon and thyme to english sticks my favourite is cheese and mustard... forget anywhere else no chain or supermarket comes close, this is a guy obviously passionate about what he does and very very good, sometimes i have to order an extra loaf as most of at one gets nibbled away in the car on the way home. yes you'll pay more here than asdas but whilst I can i'll happily give my money to a one man band who grafts day and night than any other baking establishment in hitchin.

We have been going to the Quotidian since it opened they do the most amazing croissants and their bread is of the highest quality. You can see home making the bread through the back window of the shop always freshly baked and it tastes like they sue the finest ingredients. Whenever we have a dinner party or guests we go and get our bread here and have never been disappointed. To be honest we have to limit the visits as i would eat it all. It is a wee bit more expensive than supermarkets etc. but you do get what you pay for and it is well worth it.

I always come here for the bread. The fresher, the better. I have also started to pop in for a sausage roll, or a fresh sandwich. The best in Hitchin. A nice little secret....

If you want a really good coffee in a nice little cafe this is the place to go. Or, if you want a take-out sandwich you won't find a better place in the town. Take a loaf home with you too.

Delicious pastries, exceptional quality, baked fresh daily. I especially love the chocolate and pecan cookies. Spinach and ricotta rolls are a great veggie alternative to sausage rolls, which are lovely too.

This place is amazing! Can't say enough about it. The brownies are actually amazing! The bread is A+ and they have so many different kinds, as good as any French bread I've had from a boulangerie. The tarts, quiches, pastries and pizzas are fantastic. Their med veg pasta is perfect for lunch, it's delicious and cheap too!

Pop in for a selection of breads/quiches/breakfast delights such as pain au chocolats. All prepared and cooked on the premises as far as I can see. They also serve salads and good coffee. A small area to sit inside but mainly a take away kind of place.

Dan, Laura and all the staff are so lovely. Batch fifty two really has become an integral part of the community in Baldock. As a family we all love going there for eating in and take away drinks and snacks. All the food is delicious and made fresh on site. You should visit whenever you are in Baldock
