Teenage son and I almost fell out on an unexpected 180 mile round trip as he wanted to eat and I wanted good coffee - at traffic lights I spotted the sign for TEA ROOM and pulled in. What a find! Lovely tables and chairs, pictures on the wall. Small menu, but everything freshly made / made to order - can't fault it all. Son had sausage sandwich and I had smoked salmon, fresh brown bread with salad garnish and crisps. Coffee came in a cafetiere (oh joy!) and we both had the coffee and walnut cake. Highly recommend this delightful little place. Sad that I live so far away -but I hope to be back coffee and cake!

What a great cafe situated in an antiques centre. We had a first class lunch of freshly made sandwiches and salad. The lemon drizzle cake was light and tasty and I wanted more. Enjoyed the cafe so much that we called in again after we had been around the antiques centre. From speaking to the manager I understand the cafe is under new management and needs to build up its clientele. It definitely deserves the support of the locals with an antique centre thrown in to wander around.

The cafe is under new management And the food is absolutely lovely! All homemade and fresh, very tasty indeed!! Staff are also lovely. Will definitely be a regular haunt for us for a relaxing lunch or afternoon coffee and slice of cake. Well worth a visit!

Me and my partner had lunch and breakfast here over the span of a couple days. Each time, food was incredible. Good value for money and food was just incredible. We stayed in the Airbnb across the road which provided us with cinnamon buns from there and they were delicious. Would definitely come back for more. Food was lovely and fresh.

Been here several times over the last 5 years when camping near Charlbury. Food and service are always excellent with a good section of beers and real ales. Usually call in for a light lunch, sandwich etc but have also had an evening meal. This time it was the prawn sandwich, posh fish finger sandwich (fillet if fish in tempura batter) and chips. Lovely traditional English pub. Nothing to fault.

Fantastic pub, excellent on all fronts from high quality food, friendly service to really nice ambiance of a genuine old english pub feel. I particularly enjoyed the home made sauerkraut, potatoes which were sweet and buttery without any need for salt or anything else, just quality ingredients throughout. My kids also finished all their plates - thank you again

We had dinner at Whistlers Restaurant this evening and the food was fantastic. I’m gluten free and the waitress that looked after our table, along with the chef couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was ok. The duck confit was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was really lovely too.

We are staying in Burford, so took a walk with our dog to this pub. It was a beautiful day and everything about our lunch was perfect. Good food, great staff, beautiful environment. Really nice
