Great place. Friendly people. lovely location. Highly recommend.

Lovely little pub with a sunny front and tables and little beach hut type seating for cooler weather. The inside of the pub boasts an open fire. The food was good and arrived quickly too. Staff were very friendly, and my dog was also made to feel very welcome.

Brilliant staff, food portions could be a bit more generous however quality was excellent

We have just visited the pub for the first time, we were a bit late for food but they very kindly let us order, beautiful food, lovely staff and very good atmosphere, wish we had a pub like this at home!

It's a pub. It's OK. Not the greatest food or drink selection, but decent enough.

Came across this lovely pub by chance ,stopped for a drink,JD and coke ,very lovely atmosphere with warm cosy fire ,The landlady who served me was friendly and welcoming ,shame couldn't stay long enough to sample the homemade pie on the menu ,but if ever out that way again will look forward to paying another visit .

This is exactly what a rural pub should be. Proper traditional, nothing fancy, no gimmicks, just well cooked pub grub and excellent beer with great service.

We met up for a family meal three members of the family from Chichester Torquay and Worcestershire I have got to highly recommend this pub the atmosphere is fantastic the staff are brilliant and friendly and the food is excellent good home made food and reasonable price highly recommend if your in the area will definitely be meeting up there again well done to the Queen Victoria

Good-sized portions of good food. Great ambience. Beer garden is a lovely sun trap in the Summer. Selection of ales is a little weak, but what they have is well-kept.

Great Ham Egg & Chips. No pics to share I was too busy eating it. It was lovely.

Don't tell anyone about this place!! Blessed up Ella and the other member of staff who was not only acomadating bit straight up funny. Many many points in my book (My Mum loved it too) bless.up.

A really nice, popular pub in Priddy. A good choice of drinks and food. Loads of free parking in there own car park. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun with friends and just chill. Definitely a great choice to stop for a drink or meal. Update. Finally had a meal here and it was outstanding and great value. I can definitely recommend it.

Very busy pub in the lovely rural area of Priddy near Wells. Staff worked very hard to serve a constant stream of diners as the rain themed down outside. The QV has multiple booths outside and a large garden so can cope with volumes of customers but the deluge was asking a bit much....Quite a Xmas lights display that the kids love and food was good for a range of tastes.

Outstanding food been a while since I've had some real comfort food like this 😋 and at a exceptionally reasonable price. although it was really busy still managed to find a little table and the staff were really friendly and efficient

very nice ,I was up on the mendips green laning and thought I'd try ,table service was excellent staff were very pleasant and hard working, pods look very good outside to eat in and they have a nice park for the kids across the road.keep up the good work. myself ,my missus and 3 friends tried this pub again for a good chat and catch up. still excellent very nice to relax .next time ill try the food also dog friendly

Great food all with a local flavour. A great choice of local cider and beer.

We were not surprised by the number of good comments about this pub, because we loved it. We went based on the comments and it did not disappoint. We loved the mushroom sauce on the Yorkshire pudding, the rest was also delicious. Very friendly staff and it took them very little time to serve us even though it was quite full as soon as it opened. Totally recommended.

Can not recommend a visit here enough, the Christmas lights were amazing and the food was perfection. Super fast efficient service even though the pub was full.

My biggest Disappointment was I arrived Friday evening 7:30pm to have a meal with my family. I asked for a Glass of Wine and was served it in a plastic cup. I asked can I have a glass they said not until after 9pm ??? What ??? Everyone had plastic cups. Not Eco friendly at all and Wine from plastic is Gross! Food was ok pub classics but prices reflected this.! Not many lovely country pubs left so please can your customers have a glass ??

Went for a drink this evening and had to drink wine out of a plastic half pint glass. I was Sat at a table in the pub why do I have to drink wine out of a plastic cup like I’m at a festival

Haven’t been here for food or drinks yet but we take a 40 minute drive here every year just for their Christmas lights they put in such an effort with the Christmas display and it is truly amazing our children absolutely love it as do we hopefully next year we can stop for food and drinks too

This is the real deal, a country pub without pretentions, good food, friendly but efficient service, a pleasing attitude to dogs, muddy boots and real fires. It's a real pub in the middle of the Mendips naturally a great selection of beers and wines. But the atmosphere is the real reason. It's a country pub for people who like the countryside. It's great

A cute village pub offering food, drinks plenty of seating indoors and out. An extra outdoor seating area and bar for busy days or events and a children's play area. Carpark and customer toilets, dog friendly and disabled access. We visited again recently for food and was not disappointed. Beautifully prepared home made food. Large portions and very tasty. I had the ham egg and chips which was amazing. Other people in our group had their special of game pie which looked superb and our friends said it was the best pie they had eaten. There was also a home made chilli which was spicey and tasty. 10/10 from all of us. Our surroundings were cosy and clean, a warm welcoming fire on a very cold night. Plenty of seating but can get very busy at peak times. You cannot book tables so it is first come first served. Good selection of alcoholic drinks plus coffee if you prefer. TIP: check out the specials board.

Visited on 16/11 for ‘Pie Week’ and have to say we were totally satisfied, as always. Service was spot on! Lovely log fire kept us toasty warm! Pies were delicious…my partner had Steak and Stilton and I had Minted Lamb and Leek…both faultless and portions to fill you up!!

We came in twice over our caravan weekend at the nearby site: At first glance it looks like the sort of local's pub where visitors won't be welcomed, but don't worry - the welcome was excellent, as was the food and the atmosphere. We had a table right by one of the fires, and even though the pub was packed our food came quickly and was well made. If we are in the area we will definitely eat here again.

This place never disappoints. I challenge anyone to find a pub with better chips!

We only had a drink there but I was impressed. The outside dining and drinking area was to a very good standard. The inside decor is of a country pub with various tools of old on the wall. The bar service is good and the choice of local ciders and ales is impressive. I wish that other gastro pubs were this good.

Fantastic olde worlde pub in the tiny Somerset village of Priddy. We ate inside in the cool of the thick stone walled interior (it was about 28 Deg c outside) but would seriously consider sitting in one of the beach hut booths outside, named after royal palaces. There is a wonderful menu of traditional pub favourites at very reasonable prices plus a small list of daily specials. I had the fish pie, which was as good as any I have eaten, and my OH had the chicken and leek pie in cheese crust pastry from the specials board, which he heartily enjoyed. Combined with a good selection of draught beers and ciders, this is a great pub.

A cracking village pub with great beers and friendly staff. Old style, traditional decor and a good outdoor seating area.

Lovely old pub with lots of character. Plenty of seating outside and even across the road for when it's busy. You can stay there. We sat next to a fireplace with a huge wood burning stove, thankfully not alight on a summers day. Service was definitely with a smile. The only downside was one customer who droaned on and on in a loud voice.

Have had many lunches over the years and well worth the drive from Weston Super Mare! My Mum loved coming to The Queen Vic, so it felt right to have lunch on the day she would've been 80. I had my usual small fish pie which is very filling - be warned the larger size is HUGE! I also ordered garlic mushrooms and bread, but normally I would just have the small fish pie. Finished with lemon meringue pie so will definitely not eat again today! Pub was busy and although I dined alone, I felt comfortable doing so. Plenty of menu variety including specials. Outside seating is good for warm weather and there is parking across the road. Good home cooked food at good prices.

I’ve visited this pub dozens of times, as Priddy is one of our favourite spots to start Mendip walking routes from, but today was especially great, simply due to the trio of genuinely lovely staff who were serving. Three ladies who provided a warm welcome, awesome service, and smiles all around. Great food, great pub, great vibe. Thank you.

Knew this pub well 20 years ago,it has changed vastly outside, unfortunately not for the better. The lovely garden opposite ,has been obliterated by a soulless , rough, gravel car park. Don't like the cabins, completely out of character with a country, Mendip pub, miles from the sea.The interior still retains its charm, and the service is friendly and good.

I'm sure other high reviews have said it all but four of us went mid week for lunch. There were a number of people at the bar and dinning giving a social atmospher to a cozy old style pub which has a great welcoming feeling. We were seated and offered drinks from the wide selection on offer. There is a basic offering of food. I ordered steak pie and chips which came with peas. It was a 'propper' pie and stuffed full of chunks of well flavours beef. Helping size was very good and prices slightly below average but taste, portion size, quality and price made it exceptional value. Others in our party ah lighter meal of chicken sothern fried goujions and chips. Not such good value but to be fair better than any other pub where they've been offered. Plenty to eat and a good price. Whilst the food offering wasn't large what was offered is great value well presented by efficient and pleasant staff. I'd say if your visiting Somerset in the area of Wells it's worth locating this pub.

We were.camping nearby found this pub good food good beer ( butcombe ) friendly atmosphere inside and outside space it was perfect

The pub itself is absolutely lovely. And the food they sell is great. But the staff that was serving at the bar are bordering on arrogant, rude and dismissive. Upon arrival I was told to go get a table number in a very rude tone. Then when i ordered, the young male server made me repeat my order at least 3 times, which to me felt like he was insinuating that he couldn’t understand me! When I joked it must have been the heat that makes him forget, he said yes and went to the back abruptly and came out and apologised in a sarcastic way. I ordered a half pint and he gave me a pint and when i said i only wanted half as driving. He said keep it and did not want to refund the difference. So when I suggested maybe to give me dash of coke or something to make up for it, he then tried to charge me for it! All and all dismissive attitude! Such a shame as I was really looking forward to testing out this lovely looking pub. The Food was gorgeous though

Great pub and really good food. Always worth a trip to the Mendips to visit. Has a good Folk Club meet as well.

Lovely home-made food and friendly service. The little sheds to eat in were a hit with the kids. Playground across the road was awesome. Nice selection of local ciders. Not too expensive either. Well worth trying out

Stayed locally and visited The Queen Victoria. Fabulous!! Very much a 'local' with massive characters and a wonderful 'stand in' landlord (Pete). The food was fantastic and the atmosphere even better. Word to the wise; if you want to keep up with the locals when drinking....arrange a taxi or walk home!! Thank you, Priddy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, and the friendly staff and overall atmosphere. We went for three different dishes from the menu, and all were cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!
