Not sure what's gone wrong here. This cafe use to be great years ago with home made produce. Now its coffee from a machine and bought in cakes. Very disappointing. We had coffee and cake but wished we'd brought our own. My lemon drizzle cake tasted OK, but even a garden centre makes their own cakes. Daughters ice-cream had a very soft cone.

Lovely trip to the cafe today for bacon sarnies, hot chocolates and coffee after a rainy walk. Great service and food. Place was spotless and well managed.

I asked for 2 coffees and a hot sausage roll, the young girl gave me the sausage roll before going off to make the lattes, I asked for the sausage roll to be put back in the hot cabinet or it would have been cold by the time I had received the warm coffeeless lattes, they tasted like warm milk. It's all very well employing young cheap labour but please could someone explain the basics to them.

I was very disappointed with the food offered at the cafe. Particularly because the cafe itself and the staff were great. It’s a spacious, attractive location and bearing in mind there are mountain bikers, walkers, hikers and more the food on offer was poor. Available to eat:- 1 Sausage rolls 2 Pasties assorted 3 Mountains of cakes 4 Icecream 5 Chocolate Sorry but that was it - unhealthy and a VERY poor choice. Would definitely think twice before returning.

You can’t really ask much more of this cafe. I often stop here when riding off road in the park or South Downs. Really good cakes and snack food, sit in or out, safe with bikes and generally friendly. Only improvement would be a better coffee offering, but that’s minor. Great place highly recommend and right on the SDW.

Always very pleasant and efficient service. Selection of cake and dishes are good but can be a little pricy.

We visited the Beechwood Kitchen Cafe on the way back from our walk today. We decided to pop in for a hot drink but were pleasantly surprised to see they were still doing their seasonal special drinks, so we had two luxury hot chocolates which came with marshmallows and cream, we also ordered two homemade sausage rolls which arrived in minutes! Both were absolutely delicious and would highly recommend this cafe, it was quick, efficient and all the right safety protocols were in place

I always come to QECP for a walk with the dogs with family and friends, the café has some beautiful aspects and the staff make the café! Every time I have been into the café the girls and guys behind the counter, always greet you with a polite, positive manner and always make you feel welcome even if you are a first timer or a weekly goer! The coffee is lovely too!

6 quid for this? Service was friendly enough but poor quality food and very overpriced. I’m ok paying more if it is good quality. But I was very disappointed.

Excited to visit the newly refurbished Visitor centre and cafe, and I'm pleased that dogs are now allowed into the building, as I take my dog for walks in the park quite often. I have to say the whole place has been renovated very nicely, however I'm afraid that it's rather let down by the cafe staff. I've been into the cafe twice now, and the girls working there seemed disinterested, and weren't overly friendly or welcoming. I felt that their attitudes had an effect on the vibe of the cafe, which was a shame. I would expect to be greeted with a welcoming cheery smile and a polite 'Hello! What can I get you?' but it was sadly lacking. On my second visit, I had to actually go round the corner behind the cash till area to get the attention of the staff who were all in the kitchen having a chat. Nobody was manning the cafe counter. I also overheard them talking rather loudly about the chef who had just resigned. It wasn't a great impression to be honest. If QE Park could get some happy, efficient and dynamic staff in the cafe it would really make a BIG difference. It's such a shame that the lovely new visitor centre is let down by the poor attitude of the Cafe staff. I hope that QE Park management can sort this out as I'm sure it could be improved relatively easily.

Called in for a drink and breakfast today after a walk. Breakfast was £6.50 and not good value at all. The bacon rasher was very small, beans looked dry and as if they had been hanging around underneath heat for a while, fried egg had died ages ago - it was extremely well done and no runny yolk at all, hash brown was anaemic. We visit a small cafe in Lee on Solent on a regular basis, it’s independently run. Breakfast costs much the same as if far superior in both looks, taste and quality. Won’t be eating here again.

The staff are undertrained and do not really know what is going on. You can see they have not helped the staff with the move over to the new cafe. The chef clearly has zero training because the food is messy and does not taste like what is advertised on the menu. Definitely time for a staff switch up I think

Visited for coffee. Trees looked lovely. Had to pay £2.20 for parking and the coffee was from a standard supermarket type machine and not hot enough for our taste. Having said that the new cafe is pleasant and staff are keen to please. I have noticed that other Hampshire County Council cafes have the same problem with the standard of their coffee.Easy disabled access and toilets.

Came here for one of those ‘family woodland days out.’ The new cafe: no family-friendly food, just a tiny selection of overpriced pretentious gastro rubbish. It’s not what people want from a place like this. If you want to be a restaurant then go for it, but keep a normal cafe with some simple food. And normal prices. Then wanted to go for a bike ride. Went to the info desk for a trail map... £2?!? For a piece of paper?? Took a picture on my phone instead. Great trails. But those are maintained by the volunteer collective, not the QECP management. Take a look at Swinley Forest to see how this sort of thing should be done.

Stopped here for a very welcome lunch while walking the South Downs Way. Due to building work, we ate at the temporary structure but it was still very good. Very nice pea soup and a good choice of sandwiches and cake.

Had a coffee and a cheese roll neither I though was up to scratch. The cheese was ok but the bread roll rather dry, most definitely not fresh. The coffee wasn't really hot and the taste was weak. The tables were very sticky and the whole place a bit grubby.

This is an average food cafe with your basic food, service was very good. I only give it 3/5 due to the price range and average type food.

Unfortunately my experience was not great, brought a kids lunchbox meal for my son after a long walk, sandwich was dry and bread a little stale and the veggie sticks were not particularly fresh, was quite expensive for what was on offer. Also had filter coffee which I did enjoy.

It's always been a great place to stop after a muddy bike ride with the kids and I've been several times with my two and it's been good. Nice selection and ok for value. This last Sunday was mother's day and it was a little chaotic - no fault of the staff, I just think they hadn't quite got the balance right on experience. Long queue, and missed orders. But that said food is always good quality (with the exception of the child's beef burger which tasted like it was from a costco/booker multipack). It's not fair to judge it on this last visit, staff did their best and were friendly and polite - happy to make up for mistakes etc.. I would thoroughly recommend it, despite a slightly disappointing trip this last time. The Park itself is a great setting and all of the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Go get muddy - enjoy - and warm up after with a hot chocolate and sausage baguette - yum!

Stopped for an impromptu lunch and was surprised at the excellent choice of reasonably priced food. Had an 8oz beefburger with bacon and cheese. Came with an excellent leaf salad with a tasty dressing and a very nice crunchy slaw with mustard dressing. Hot a d well cooked and only £7.95. Great value. Coffee could have been better but no complaint. Recommend this cafe.

Found to be average. Small menu not much to my liking. Staff very helpful and friendly. Outside seating was very messy. People leaving rubbish and left overs on tables, took awhile for staff to tidy up. Only 1 toilet so had to queue for awhile. Setting was lovely, near a pretty pond. Small play area for young children close by.

QECP is such a lovely location with many wonderful trails for bikes, dog walkers, horses and families. After hiking thru the park and working up an appetite it was good to see there was a cafe. Unfotunately the park have a captive audience and I believe have been a little too reliant on this and not invested enough attention or money into the cafe. It's basic but not cheap. The whole woodland atmosphere could be so much more inclusive within the cafe that I believe they're missing a huge opportunity. This is a popular place for children but any family wanting to drink and eat at the cafe will have to dig deep. Biscuits and cakes are very expensive for what they are and I think it's a real shame that such a beautiful location has to price itself so high.

We stopped for a light lunch before heading out for a walk through the woods. The food was really good! The jacket potatoes had crispy skin and plenty of filling and the soup was delicious and came with lovely garlic ciabatta. The cakes they had on display also looked amazing! The staff were also very friendly and efficient.

After walking around the park we had lunch at this Cafe. They have unusual options for a Cafe, like wild boar and venison. We bought a wild boar burger and a wild boar sausage baguette. Both of them came with a side of salad. Everything was delicious, from the bread, the meat, to the fresh coleslaw made with apple. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients. Best of all, it was excellent value.

Revolting food we gad to wait 45 minutes for. Order was wrong, was sent back to the kitchen with a backdrop of loud swearing from the ‘’chef’’ for his mistake. Waited for another 15 mins for an undercooked jacket potato, no apology no nothing. Once ready ‘chef’ loudly announced here is a jacket potato with no butter in a mocking voice… on leaving I was clearly charged for 2 jacket potatoes and the burnt panini but felt the lady behind the counter who did the maths in her head, was too passive aggressive for me to challenge. Safe to say we wont be going back.
