Food average, service average. Music far too loud for a smart restaurant. It’s like a disco not a classy place to have dinner with friends. Very very disappointing

Our booking has sadly been cancelled a week before due to “a private hire event”. We got offered a pitiful glass of bubbles if we re booked with their sister venue. This booking has been in place for two months and we have booked a hotel nearby too as we live in the midlands. It was for my birthday celebration and one of the few places that we could enjoy guaranteed entertainment and bring our young daughter along too. With one week to go, we have to find a different restaurant that will fit the bill. What a complete disappointment and such an odd state of affairs to cancel bookings at such short notice. Do they simply just hire this place out at the drop of a hat with no regard to the disappointment that would cause others and the reputation that they will get for it? Very bad service to match some of the recent reviews on here, without even stepping foot in the place!

We reserved a table on a Saturday evening for the January set menu, advertised on the website. When we arrived we were told that the menu was only valid during the week, this confused us because four of us had checked the website and seen that the set menu was valid at weekends. On arrival at the restaurant the staff insisted it was only valid during the week. We later checked our internet history and found the menu which did state it was valid on the weekend. We were left without a table on a Saturday evening and embarrassed in front of our guests that we had made a mistake (which it turned out we hadn’t). What is most frustrating is how the staff in the restaurant lied to us, making us feel like we had made a mistake when we hadn’t.

The place was good but they can manage the food and the orders in a busy Saturday now, to bad the place is only a visit for cocktails not food.

Excellent welcome with a attentive waiter and many extras offered. A lot of waiting time between dishes, but which passes very quickly, made up for by the perfect performance of the singers. The portions are quite small but we enjoyed ourselves, I recommend

The musicians were incredibly talented, and it was clear they enjoyed every moment of entertaining the guests. Their tunes added an extra layer of magic to the ambiance, making it an unforgettable experience. Service and Food:The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was flawless. The menu offers a diverse range of options, the meat was overcooked . Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or a place to unwind with some great music, this place has it all. I can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to visit again soon!

I found a deal for a set menu online, which clearly shows that can be used on a weekend. Contacted the restaurant, who stated it was not despite it clearly showing no restrictions. Sent the menu, but person in the restaurant refused to allow the booking. Avoid this place.

The place and music were nice, however the food was inedible. It was very dry, bland and very expensive

The food was poor and the service matched! We have been here a few times and always enjoyed it but not this time unfortunately. No idea what has gone on but a wasted £400. The only positive was the singers who we really enjoyed

This a generous three out of five, we booked on line a week before our booking at the restaurant, we were telephoned at 14.00 for a 16.00 booking for six people and told the kitchen was closing at 16.15 and we needed to come earlier, this stressed us as we were at the theatre, it was not possible for us to go any earlier, we tried to return the telephone call and no one bothered to answer!!!! This entire set of actions stressed us and took any excitement out of going to the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant early we were seated at a very poor table next to the kitten squashed into the far right of the restaurant with a few other dinners, three members of our party had the back to the onstage entertainment which was not necessary as the restaurant was empty. The view of three of our dinners was of a dirty net curtain which was badly hung across windows which we assumed were to the kitchen, this did offer some amusement as we played identify the food splatters on the grotty net curtain. The food was OK however we felt very rushed to leave the restaurant as most of the staff left and it was very clear they wanted to close. The restaurant should NOT have taken our booking if the plan was always to close early or was it just the staff on duty who simply could not be bothered about the guests and just wanted to go home. All in all a very poor experience

Terrible experience, customer service was like a mcdonalds store , not attentive, our plates were left on table for 15 minutes not taken, food terrible for price the steak was tasteless , overall would not recommend at all, it was my wife's birthday, ruined the night, avoid at all cost, I have been their 4 years previously was good then, but now horrible.

One of the best and special restaurants

This restaurant doesn't even deserve a one-star review. The service was either non-existent or downright pathetic, and the food was somehow even worse--overcooked, excessively salty, and utterly flavorless, served in meager portions. When staff did appear, their attitude was rude, dismissive, and snotty. The ambiance was dreadful--perhaps if they managed to attract customers, they could afford to turn on the heat. The management is completely incompetent. Overall, this place is a waste of time, money, and effort. If you enjoy horrible food and rude service, by all means, visit this London dungeon. Otherwise, even a cheap takeout at a fast food restaurant is a far better option.

Guys, please turn on your heating. Last night the place was freezing.

This is one of the best restaurants in London. Yes it’s expensive but the quality of the food, service and ambience is outstanding.

Food was good, but overall experience was disappointing. Our table was booked for 8.30pm, but starters didn't arrive until 9.45pm. Desserts weren't served until after 11pm, which was too late for those of us catching the last train

the Bar was amazing !!! Kush Sebastian and all the Bar team it is been amazing !!! what a NYE !! thank you Giacomi to looking after us !! Quagminos been an amazing place where to enjoy drinks with my lover!! i really reccomend

Kian and Sebastian was an absolute star. 5 star food service and 5 star drink service. Could not ask for anymore. The best new years ever!

We came here for a post Christmas lunch,and it did not disappoint The ambience was very classy and very deceptive looking. Once inside, you are greeted by a very polite front of the house. The service was flawless, and the food was very tasty, and the drinks were amazing. There was a very entertaining jazz band that afternoon, which added to a great atmosphere. I am looking forward to taking family and friends in the very near future

Went there for our anniversary. The service started amazing, very polite and attentive, once we got our table, ( 20:30 ) on the dot we were totally ignored by floor staff, I had to go and get one ( not exaggerating ) Our order was taken at 21:10 ( 40 minutes after we were seated ). We had to wait another 20 minute to receive our drink and starter. Our main courses were ready in the kitchen but no one brought it to us, I had to go again and get someone to serve us which was around 23:00 almost 2h after we were seated. Once the food came to our table all the food was cold including the steak. I was afraid to raise the issue because if it took 2h to receive a cold steak, how long would I wait if it was replaced ? The reason why we've booked at 20:30 is to be surrounded by people, we ended up eating with 2 tables left in the whole restaurant. Requested the bill very dissatisfied, again did not come I had to go and get someone to give me the bill so I've requested the service charge to be removed without even seeing the bill and they've said "one second my manager will come" the lady who gave us the bill came and left a piece of paper in a leather pouch without saying a word. We paid around 300 for some cold food. I do not want to sound dishonest, their seafruit cocktail almost £40 doesnt even worth £10. 3 small tiger prawns on the shell and a spoon of baby shrimp salade. However the steak, despite being cold, was excellent. Horrible experience overall, it's a shame as the venue is extraordinary we will not visit again nor recommend.

I visited the place and I was overwhelmed by the service specially by the bartender "Jinay" who was great.

Had a sirloin steak and a fillet which were both so bland and pretty pricey! Starter was a “fancy prawn cocktail” was nice but nothing special. Service wasn’t great and the food took ages to come out! A bottle of champagne was on our bill that we didn’t order, that had to be removed. Entertainment was good but to be charged an additional £5 per person for it felt cheeky given the price and on top of service charge. Beautiful decor but wouldn’t come back.

We recently visited this restaurant, and while it had some positives, the overall experience was disappointing. The location was beautiful, and the ambiance was inviting with a warm and cozy vibe. The live music added a nice touch, but unfortunately, it was far too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation at the table. The real issue, however, was the service. It took 2-3 hours for our main courses to arrive. When they finally did, the food was lukewarm at best, so we had to send everything back. It then took another 45 minutes before we received our meals again. Throughout the evening, drinks and dishes arrived at different times, leaving some of us waiting while others’ food grew cold. On the bright side, once the food was served properly and at the right temperature, it was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and clearly made with quality ingredients, but the long wait and lack of coordination really overshadowed the experience. In summary, the restaurant has potential, with a great location, a good atmosphere, and tasty food, but the service needs significant improvement to make it worth the visit.

Amazing Christmas party with work colleagues. Food was great . Not cheap , but it’s expected

Braj was serving our table, but we told him that it was our anniversary and we requested a table in front of the stage (which we requested while booking, but they gave us a the worst table in a corner just near the toilet). Braj was really friendly, he asked his manager for a front table and we got the best 👌 table just in front of the singer within few minutes. He just made our day. The atmosphere was marvellous 👌 and lively. Enjoyed the music and vibe than food. Recommended food is the starter (glazed Duck with cashew. However, it was written that it would be with watermelon salad, but I got with baby lettuce. Aged beef tartar was nice as well. The main meal(chicken supreme) was average to taste. The prices are high according to the portion size but worth for the ambience only.

Costly ! Overly priced ! Gone for our anniversary was charged around £3 just to write happy anniversary on the plate which we never asked for ! They asked if any special occasion we visiting... funny !!! Ambience was nice + food was okay... had far better in that price !!!

When I arrived, there was a huge misunderstanding regarding the deposit. This took the staff an hour or so to clear the matter. I had to ho through my bank statement several times before the matter was finally dealt with. This made me feel very uneasy, and I was unable to tend to my guests as we were celebrating my partners big 60th birthday celebrations. Apart from the service charges which every time our guest bought drinks from the bar and not bought to the tables, Quaglinos lived up to the expectations of entertainment and the atmosphere. The food was nice but unfortunately some guest did not get what they ordered.

I booked for my husbands belated birthday. We had previously been on our anniversary and really enjoyed. This experience over Christmas however was just awful. The food was lovely but quite honestly our main waiter looked absolutely shattered clearly management are pushing staff over the festive period without any regard. Then when it got to just before 10pm (our booking was at 8) we were told you will need to move this table to booked, we were also told are you getting dessert you really need to choose. A special occasion completely ruined. I booked this 2 months ago and also spoke to someone on the phone why did no one tell me! Well done for a horrible extremely expensive experience!

Pre- booked Xmas dinner for family . After ordering the food we were told no options available as ran out of chicken! And same for the dessert - no chocolate mouse available as ran out!! And on top not even apologetic but saying that’s what it is !! That killed all the experience!

Initial good impressions, staff were friendly and nice live music, however we waited over an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and the food arrived cold. The meat (ribeye) was quite chewy and the serving portion was quite small (though this is to be expected with this type of restaurant). Overall would not return to Quaglinos based on the price.

Staff are awful. At times I was waiting 15 mins after ordering a glass of wine to the table, where there was supposed to be bottles already there. The staff were very clumsy, they knocked my knife on the floor, dropped my plate of starters on top of my napkin and knife so it tipped over, elbowed me in the face while pouring wine and then flicked the bottle of wine over someone. They forgot my chips and then rolled their eyes when I pointed it out, and only came to take orders about once every 30 mins. And when they did come, they only took orders from that one specific person whilst ignoring everybody else. I would expect this service from a failing McDonald’s franchise under investigation. Very disappointed.

We recently visited Quaglino’s for dinner and were incredibly impressed. From the ambience to the food, it was an incredible evening from start to finish. Only made better by our fantastic waiters, especially Akash P who was friendly, attentive and very helpful! Had a fantastic evening and can’t wait to return.

Quaglino’s decor, environment, pricing, and entertainment set a very high bar that unfortunately the service failed to meet. I’d arranged a celebratory dinner and the whole experience was very rushed. From collecting our coats to waiting the table, it was rapid fire - the food came out within 4 minutes of ordering which, given the price, gives you the impression of a conveyor belt kitchen that’s not putting the care and time into your food. Entertainment and decor is amazing, but the service really let down the whole experience; and then they slap on a 20% service charge.

Again Quaglino's was a let down. Same as last December. The place was only about a third full, more or less empty bar, no atmosphere in the week before Christmas. Service was ultra slow as usual - one hour at the table with bread only in a very un busy restaurant. Wine, again, placed out of our reach and poured out in large measure so it's gets warm presumably in an attempt to make us buy another bottle. Another of the 6 occupied tables also had to get up to pour their own wine. Starter of mushroom tartlette was a cold dish of mushrooms in a truffle sauce in a pastry case - most unpleasant cold taste. I did not eat it. The venison was good, minimalist portions but luke warm. No festive dishes at all on the menu on December 16th - amazing? The bar ( empty) staff spent their time unpacking boxes of bottles and then measuring with funnels, mixes into containers. Never had to sit and watch that on show in a bar. Last year was a similar situation- won't be ever doing this again as a Christmas treat. Very disappointing, again

There’s no doubt that Quagalinos is a beautiful venue with an incredible atmosphere, however our visit on Saturday left a lot to be desired. We were a group of four girls sharing a festive lunch for the 4th year here. We started in the bar and had to prompt several times for our order. Then on getting to our table, service was again slow to get going. The menu was very disappointing. With two vegetarians at the table, there was one choice for starters and one for main. The menu price has shot up at £45 for 2 courses and £49 for three. It used to be in the £30s. A side of fries is £7 and we were charged £16 for the side of cabbage, which I can only assume was an unnoticed overcharge. Drink prices have also increased dramatically. Then there’s the £5 charge pp for music and also a cost of £5 pp for bread, which used to be brought around freely. The food itself was very disappointing. Seasoning was either lacking (pasta) or overpowering (salmon). Portions were small. None of the party of four particularly enjoyed their food. That said the creme brulee was delicious. Best part of the meal. People were clearly having fun and Quags is a real party atmosphere. Sadly the food (which used to be excellent) has gone downhill and service was not as good as precious visits. We all agreed that sadly this will be our last visit here. However if you’re looking for a fun place for a party, do check it out.

Food was average My guests seat broke and he nearly broke his arm falling to the floor. No apology given. Orders were late. One cocktail mix up and one guest got it instead of the other and the next was massively delayed. Atmosphere and live music were fab

100 staff members walking around but bad service. One member from our party had to order his drink 3 times before it came. Got brought the bill before the desert menu. Queried it and was told they have to give the table up as it is a 2 hour limit. If that is the case the restaurant needs to find a way to make sure desert is offered in that time frame. Online there were no tables after 10pm therefore they were offering tables for walk-ins at our expense. A donation for charity was on the receipt without consent. Whether it is £1 or a £100 donation consent should be sought first. £30pp for the live music which was very average.

Restaurant Review: Quaglino’s Christmas Meal We had the pleasure of dining at Quaglino’s for our Christmas meal, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience with a few notable highlights and one slight letdown. First and foremost, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. The festive decorations were superb, adding a touch of glamour and holiday magic to the evening. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the lively entertainment—a brilliant mix of music and performances that really set the tone for a festive celebration. The food, on the whole, was very good. The vegetables were perfectly cooked—crisp, fresh, and full of flavour—and the gravy was the real star of the show, rich and deeply satisfying. However, the rib-eye steak left us a little disappointed. While it was cooked well, the portion—a single, rather thin slice—felt underwhelming, especially given the otherwise generous and high-quality offerings. Service was warm and friendly but noticeably slow at times, which detracted slightly from the experience. Nevertheless, the staff were attentive when present and accommodating of our needs. Quaglino’s is undeniably a beautiful venue with excellent entertainment, and while there was room for improvement in terms of service and portion size for the steak, the delicious food and festive atmosphere more than made up for it. It was a memorable Christmas meal overall, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return for another special occasion.

Always a lovely time at Quaglinos. The Sunday lunch is fabulous, Giuseppe our server was great and made my dads birthday one to remember! Dee the singer is also incredible, will always recommend this place.

This visit was a special treat for our close friend, however the day didn't get off to a good start when we were telephoned to ask us to arrive earlier than our timeslot. Luckily we were in London to visit Oxford Street, so we gave that a miss and headed for the restaurant. When we got there we then had to wait for nearly an hour for them to seat us !! This took us way past our booked timeslot. Things got worse when due to a street protest nearby, there were no chips on the menu, with no alternative available unless you wanted green beans.... Despite reassurance that we would be 'looked after' when our bill arrived, the removal of the cost of 3 side dishes was little consolation. All in all the visit didn't encourage us to recommend this venue to others in a hurry. Popular place and possibly a series of unforeseen occurrences, but not a great experience despite the food being quality and well presented.

Nice venue and ambience. Live music was good and the musicians are really talented but the performances seemed short and not worth paying £5 per person for! (this should not even be a charge!). The waitress was lovely but the service was incredibly slow even though it was a week day- took half an hour for our orders to even be taken from the moment we got handed the menus and then it was 1hr 20mins before we were handed our mains- so a heads up is to not expect to have your mains until about 2hours after being seated and for sure don't be in a rush to be anywhere afterwards! There were mixed opinions on the food- steak and duck were of a good quality. However, for an establishment that claims to be a 'seafood specialist' we were really disappointed with the salmon which was slightly dry but edible and the monkfish which was almost inedible as it was fishy tasting, didn't seem fresh and was incredibly chewy like beef jerky- the worst monkfish I have had to date. Sides were also very mediocre- overcooked green beans and carrots. For the cost of this meal, I would say there are much better places to dine and get your money's worth.

Incredibly loud music meant conversation was difficult. Food was fine but just a set menu. The wine waiter was a complete snob and told me I didn't really want that wine when I tried to order a glass and told me to order something different, and not in a nice way. So patronising. There were a lot of parties in and that would probably be good value but it's not great for a more intimate or sophisticated dining experience.

I absolutely loved the live music performance over our delicious dinner! This place is perfect for a girls night out but also for a romantic date. Truly superb. The setting was perfect, featuring amazing musicians, festive decorations and exquisite food and service. One of the BEST places for a special occasion or an extravagant dinner in the WHOLE of London.

Whatever I ordered was very disappointing for the price. However my husband chose better and his food was far better. I chose one of the Most expensive starters. Scallop with crab and bisque sauce . I got one tiny almost burnt and very dry scallop with an almost cold bisque sauce. The sauce was good but could have tasted better if it was hot.. my husband had yellow fin tuna was amazing but tuna was (cheap cut for the price) very fibrous. Mains was a very dry chewy monkfish tail but my husband had an amazing turbot on the bone. So as you can tell very mixed feelings

Love you BUT 2 hours for delivery of our main course and we spent £125 each x5. In these times of austerity spending that much, the food should come long before this.

I absolutely loved this place, the atmosphere, service, food & music was amazing however there was Is something important that I feel needs addressed. When escorted to the table it went horribly down hill, there was an awful strong smell of body odour that hit us immediately & unfortunately didn’t go away as it came from one of the waiters. Not all pleasant when at a table ordering food, you surely must have had this mentioned already & if not needs looking in to.

The atmosphere here is fantastic! There's live music, and the quality was astonishing. The food was delicious, and cocktails were superve. I did feel the service from the waiters could be better. They were slow and not as attentive as they should be. Several times, we had to seek them out for service.

Vibe is good, food is overpriced but you are in central so can’t really complain about that, music and band were good but they play some absolute shit crowd pleasers that kill the mood. There is some hidden charges for being in vicinity of the music. 6/10 overall, would recommend going once for the experience but no need to return

The staffs are very good and I am very impressed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good and the food is very delicious. Everything is impressive and there is nothing to fault. I will definitely go back again.

Saturday evening was our first visit to Quaglinos. It did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The live music was great! The cocktails were lovely - even the non alcoholic ones!! Thank you to Jonathan for looking after us so well. We will be back again very soon!

Lovely place brilliant for photos and great for an evening out with music! They have live music sets which just adds to the atmosphere you could spend hours in there . Lovely drinks as well definitely pricey but for the location it's worth going!

Top place in London for food and celebrations. The atmosphere is incredible. Live music is outstanding. The food is delicious and the staff are super nice. Of course it's expensive, but you pay for what you get.

Sunday afternoon dinner was perfect, the food was fresh and full of flavour with great live music. Our waiter Giuseppe was very attentive and friendly.

We had a lovely evening at Quaglino's, very nice atmosphere and great food. The band was great too. The only downsides for us were that we were seated right in front of the stage (facing the stage) and couldn't therefore see the lovely restaurant behind us. Secondly, we were also charged extra for a music charge (assume the live band) which we were surprised about as thought it would be part of the experience and factored into the prices. I would still recommend Quaglino's, the restaurant is lovely and food great!!

A plethora (maybe) Velour 3m ceiling mounted track railed curtains cover the partition walls to the kitchen and serving area on the lower ground, the swag on the curtains gives a nice aesthetic. At the stage end where the music is played, a very nice heavy duty track mounted 7m dropped swag curtains, not sure if they are hand cranked or electric/cord/belt/chain operated, never the less they give a pleasing backdrop to the stage and live music. The par38 lights were very dim, so quite dark to read food menus. Small spotlights on walkways were gu10s (by the looks). The food was nice, the staff were very attentive, drinks were good, music was good, although I recommend avoiding the cinnamon cocktail (most displeasing drink).

Roma provided excellent service the entire time we were there. It was an amazing experience with exceptional live music and me and my friend can’t wait to come here again!

Booked Quaglinos for a birthday. The food, atmosphere and service was 5 star! We were served by Akash P who was incredibly helpful and friendly and delivered amazing service! Will definitely be returning to quaglinos in the future.

My boyfriend and I visited Quaglinos for the first time as a birthday surprise and was left disappointed. The celebrations were ruined by serving us cold food!! After a long wait for our food it arrived and was left on the side. A waiter asked someone to serve the food (a tall man with white hair) he looked at it and then he left it there, for 5 mins!! After a while, a waiter came and served us the food.By this time the steak, and all the sides and sauce got cold 🥶 When I asked the waiter to give me a new sauce because the one he brought to the table was cold he said that needs to be cold, I felt they ruined our evening. The attentiveness of the rest of the waiters was not good. I asked for the bill and was left there waiting for someone for ages just to play. Not worth the time, money or effort. A real shame as the music was good.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN LONDON!!!!! Be prepared to have your reservation cancelled just because they will decide to give your spot to someone else! Unbelieveble! Spare yourself time and go somewhere else!

Came here for my birthday and had the best time. Shout out to Vlad for being the best bartender! He was so lovely and made delicious drinks. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and cozy location. More importantly Vlad has made our experience amazing!! He was very welcoming and friendly, exactly what the restaurant needs! The food and music was out of the ordinary too.

A very pleasant experience in this beautiful restaurant. We went 3 friends for dinner on Tuesday and were really impressed with the service we got here. We got a warm welcome at the reception, offered to get some delicious pre-dinner cocktails, followed by amazing dinner with delicious and tasty food. Sea food starters were great, Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly medium rare with tasty baby potatoes and 3 different sauces, a really big portion for 2 persons. Selection of desserts for sharing was the sweet ending of a well spent evening. Big applause to our waiter Neerav who was very friendly, welcoming, attentive, looked after our table very well and made us feel special. All of us left happy and will remember this night. Looking forward to coming again.

So disappointed with Quaglino's. I booked my Employer's Christmas Staff Party last year and Quaglino's called to say a bigger party wanted to come in on the same night that I had booked so they kicked us out in favour of the larger party. I then booked Quaglino's for our Staff Christmas Party and I was assured via email that our booking was finalised. Guess what today I received a no ID caller phone call and it was Quaglino's kicking out again in favour of a larger party. Our Staff are so upset and at this late stage a new venue has to be found. Shame on you Quaglino's for once again kicking us out because of money. It is so unprofessional and disrespectful not to mention dishonourable especially doing this twice to us. I understand you do not care and all that matters to you is money which I get to a degree but to treat us with absolute no respect is not acceptable.

Me and my friend tried out Quaglino’s for the second time last night and it was amazing! We had the best night. The food, atmosphere and service were perfect! Our waiter Petit couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel extra special! We cannot wait for our next visit!
