Mediterranean Cafe in City of London, Westminster

Really nice place for lunch. We had a coffee each and then a burger. The waiter brought us a glass of water (without us asking), which I think is a superb sign of good hospitality service. The burger was tasty and filling, the coffee strong, hot and good quality. The breakfasts looked lovely on a nearby table too. Would love to go again to try something a little more Mediterranean in origin!

Me and my fiancé loved this place! We went out to get breakfast and stumpled across this hodden gem. One of the best weve been to in london! Safe to say we got our money’s worth, and left feeling full😄 amazing atmosphere and the waitor was really nice :D

Had breakfast here for the first time and loved it. Don't bother with a traditional English, try something Turkish because the dish they do with tomato and egg is the ultimate hangover cure. The bagel is also brilliant.

I discovered this little gem in London over 24 years ago and every time we visit the capital, we always eat here. The food is excellent and very good value for money, considering one is in the centre of the city. Service is great too.

A hidden gem in Soho’s vibrant, multicultural scene! The Mediterranean flavors are incredible, and the service is outstanding. The Cheese Börek with its crispy layers and fiery sauce was unforgettable, the Beef Burger perfectly spiced, and the Tiramisu a creamy, indulgent finale. Fantastic food, warm staff, and an exciting, diverse atmosphere—highly recommended!

Small intimate, seemingly authentic Med Cafe...our food, cooked freshly, chicken kebab, lamb kebab, carbonara, all clean plates at the end. Decent glass of wine, nice unrushed atmosphere, would definitely drop in again, very reasonably priced for London.

I had breakfast here on Boxing day. It was a nice Turkish breakfast (good portion and tasty). I was a bit overwhelmed with the server always loitering around since I was the only customer in the morning. Beware that there is a 2 pounds fee of service which I found strange.

What a great find!! Why did I not know of this place before? I have been searching for a good quality Turkish Pide in London for years, and finally found it! The staff was so friendly. Such a warm, welcoming place! Someone had a birthday and the staff put together a dramatic and cheerful birthday cheer. It was so heartwarming in this festive season. Highly recommend this place. Definitely going back!!

A very cozy place with great food and the nicest people!

I have been visiting this venue for the last 13 years with former work colleagues , always around Christmas. The welcome that we receive is always exceptional and we are recognised by Ali and his team. The food and service is impeccable and prices are great bearing in mind that it’s in the middle of Soho. I’m happy to recommend and will be back again soon.

Great little restaurant with proper Mediterranean grill. Chicken livers are great. Prawn cocktail delicious. Mixed grill a delight. Seafood linguine worth a try. Lovely staff.

We came for breakfast. We were very pleased. Turkish breakfast plate and menemen are very successful. They serve it with hot pita on the side.

We ordered the set meal. ( 2 course and 3 course meal) The starters were amazing. The lamb kebab was good but the chicken kebab was overcooked and difficult to chew The ice cream was rock solid like it was frozen too hard. It wasn't a very pleasant experience with the dessert. The total came up to £50 ( including a coffee and a tea) The place is very tight as well. I think the price makes sense considering it's in central London however I wish the chicken was better cooked and we had higher quality ice-cream

Service was very friendly in a relaxed and cosy, tiny restaurant. Young gentleman who served our table was extremely polite and helpful. Food was fantastic and nothing but value for money considering you’re in the middle of Soho. Full of flavour, all home made in front you. Would 100% recommend. Will definitely be back for sure ☺️

A lovely family owned restaurant with great service and caring staff. Had the smoked Salmon with Avocado and the pancake filled with spinach. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had! The owner and servers are all absolutely lovely people and made sure this wouldn’t be my last trip to London just so I can try their food again.

We had the moussaka and lamb kofte for main and halloumi and mixed meze for starters. Everything was absolutely amazing, the service , the flavours and the freshness of the food , the atmosphere. We hadn't planned to go here but this made a great ending to our already lovely day. Will definitely be visiting again , highly recommended

I have never felt so welcomed at a place. The waiters took good care of us making sure if we needed anything else. Portions were generous of good quality and prices very affordable for London standards. I highly recommend this place. Especially a lady made us feel like home with her hospitality. This is a must visit when in Soho! I look forward to stopping in for their famous Turkish Breakfast each time I’m in London, as well as the mouthwatering mussels which is one of my favourite dishes ever! Since our first visit here in June 2023, the staff have become like family and we have met so many other great people here! The restaurant fosters a community amongst their patrons, something so rare to find and what makes Mediterranean Cafe and Violets (next door) so special.

The Mediterranean Cafe in Soho is always our first stop when visiting London. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy, and the food is always so fresh and delicious! If visiting for breakfast, they do a great English Breakfast, but my personal favourite is the Turkish Breakfast or the Thasos! For lunch or dinner, the mussel entree is a must!!! Honestly, anything is great. Such an underrated gem in Soho!

Such an authentic and cozy cafe! (Thank God) we couldn't get a table at the yellow chain next door and then there were seven of us in this treasure chest. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and in a good mood. Great atmosphere and you can watch the chef prepare the food. Plus the price is right. If we ever end up in London again, we'll definitely come back!

Visited for both dinner and breakfast during my recent stay in London. The food is wonderful, the staff are polite and welcoming. Lovely place with a real family atmosphere which I enjoyed very much. A real Delight. Highly recommend.

A hidden Turkish gem in the heart of Soho!! The waitress, Sadiye, was incredibly welcoming and kind. The atmosphere is cozy and it’s the perfect spot to stop for a cup of coffee or a hearty meal. It’s also laptop-friendly, so a good place to get some work or reading done. I highly recommend trying the lahmacun with a Turkish tea on the side. Definitely coming back!!

A real hidden gem in SoHo, we only found this place as we walked past and saw how cheap a full English was and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent and they were polite and attentive. The food was excellent and we will be returning when we next come to London! Our server was brilliant and offered us a replacement on the breakfast when we took off some of the other food.

Superb breakfast. I had the Turkish breakfast, but I exchanged the beef sausage for a pork one, which was no problem to the staff who were really friendly, and cheerful. A lovely spot to sit and watch Soho wake up. I'll definitely go again next time I'm visiting the area.

Searching area for a good English breakfast we came across the Mediterranean cafe and we were so glad we did. This was just what we wanted full English with tea and toast. The service was first class just like the food. This is now marked on my map for my next return to London. I might even try a Turkish breakfast next time, thank you

Staff weren’t very accommodating to a large group. Would not recommend coming here with party size bigger than 4. Not the best manners or communication from the younger waiter.

Super nice experience of a small, cozy restaurant well established on the street. We tried the Turkish pizzas: Turkish sausage and mozzarella and feta peppers. A real delight. Sadie, who welcomed us, is a great woman, very welcoming and open, we feel that she likes contact and people. We are delighted with our experience, thank you very much!!!!!!

The food was good, but the service was just awful. They had 1 poor guy running all the tables and once it got busy he was overwhelmed. We waited 30 minutes after our 2nd course to get our 3rd course and just gave up and paid and left. Definitely would go here again, but only if they were not busy

Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The cook really took pride in his dishes and the wait staff was helpful and friendly.
