Turning down customers 45 minutes from closing seems a bit off.

Not very welcoming atmosphere but good selection of drinks at fair prices and typically food people watching in Clifton from a window seat.

Lovely corner bar with superb drinks and hard to find wines. Very happy to be re acquainted with Santa Digna for those who know their Chilean reds.

Popped in on 18 Dec 2023 for that "last" Crimbo drink after the company Christmas dinner. The place was just as I remembered, full of people enjoying themselves, music was pumping the ber/wine flowing. Lots of fun. Great staff!!!

Dropped in for a quick drink on a Sunday evening. It was lively and buzzy - a really nice atmosphere, with friendly staff and customers. Really enjoyed it and would go again.

We had a great evening with friends at The Quadrant. Fantastic music and a great atmosphere. Then loads of chips from the chippy next door arrived!! Thanks for a great night!!

This is an OK place for a quick drink but not much more than that. The upstairs bar is like a goldfish bowl, the downstairs bar is a bit weird.

Went here for a few, and such a friendly and lively spot! Staff were super happy, funny and helpful, great music and nice busy cheerful crowd.

A proper traditional pub. Nice location, great proper ales. Friendly staff. You can even get your bike fixed downstairs.

No food apart from snacks like crisps but plenty of eateries just round the corner.

Good selection of drinks and friendly service. Excellent position to watch the world go by. Not sure if it has any disabled access facilities which is why I only scored 4 stars. If proved wrong then I'd be happy to amend score!

Really good wine list. We had a quiet escape to the cellar, on a busy day.

Called in for an afternoon soft drink. Fortunately it was from a bottle as the place was absolutely filthy. It was dirty like an old abandoned building would be. £6.50 for two small bottles of coke was overpriced especially as the profits clearly do not go towards cleaning and decorating.

A nice friendly little pub with a good atmosphere.

Lively wine bar, with a few good wine choices and draught beers. As everywhere else, red wine is always on the warm side as it is kept at 'room' temperature, which in summer is far too warm. Therefore I suggest to stick to the white wine or sparkling.

Super friendly staff. Popped in to charge my phone to use for the bus ticket. Enjoyed music.

The friendly staff really made our visit to the Quadrant. The lady that served us was lovely and such a laugh, and the gentleman behind the bar put out free bar snacks on each table for people to enjoy while the rugby was on. The location is a great people watching spot, as it is right on the corner, and its all windows. The interiors could do with a little more love and warmth (maybe soft furnishings?) just to cosy it up a bit, but other than that, highly recommend!

This May once have been a classy wine bar with an extensive list of wines available by the glass. This is not the case anymore, contrary to claims made on the website. They only had one red available by the glass, the bartender didn’t seem to think they had any of the others and appeared completely clueless. I was expecting to have a printed copy of the wine list as advertised on the site, and staff who might even have pretended to have an interest in wine. This place is alright as bog-standard bars go, but if you’re wanting to come to a place that specialises in wine, look for somewhere else. Very disappointed “Bristol’s premier wine bar” didn’t live up to the hype.

Popped in for a hot drink. Seemed very friendly and welcoming. Full of locals as a lot of first names used on new arrivals. Good atmosphere.

A lovely wine bar in a great location, however their google listing needs updating as it says they do tapas, however they no longer serve food. Lovely staff, decent wine list.

Recently visited this restaurant for drinks and dinner and I'm so glad I chose here. A man named Tom served us and showed us to our table but went the extra mile to ensure we got the best table downstairs instead of upstairs which we had originally booked online. We were able to order via a QR code but a member of staff was always around in case we wanted to order via them instead of the app. The food was amazing and great value for money and the atmosphere was lovely - especially downstairs.

Lovely pub with an orangery style roof downstairs. Right near Clifton Bridge so in the summer I could imagine it's a ice place to stand outside while having a pint

We spent a pleasant hour before dinner here. They do a good selection of wines, cocktails and beers. There is quite a lot of seating upstairs and downstairs but it did get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Very agreeable bar staff.

As far as I remember there was dancing

Situated in our favourite district of Clifton we spent a very early evening drinking a bottle of New Zealand red wine, pink lady rum cocktails, beer and mixed bar nuts. Very chilled out and well patronised and on the corner of the main thoroughfare we had a great time chatting to the locals. The bar staff could have cheered up a bit, but hey ho, after the first bottle we didn't care.

My son bought 2 vouchers from The Quadrant at the beginning of August for their Wine Tasting Events. As their website only had listings for 2017 I emailed them on 11 August to ask for their programme for 2018. These vouchers clearly state they must be used within 6 months, so I was concerned not to get an immediate reply. Having chased them I finally had a response on 21 August to say the dates were being finalised that week and they would let me have them within a couple of days. Needless to say I didn't receive the dates and had to chase again. After an exchange of several emails, including on 5th Sept, blaming the manager who had apparently told the owner he had given me the dates on the phone, yet in the same email said the manager was still working on the dates; then me chasing yet again on 7 September, I finally received a list of dates for the Wine Tastings on 8 September. Having been told the dates were confirmed, I expected the website to be updated with the details and information how to book. As that didn't happen, I emailed again on 6th October to book for 6th December, and to ask for details of the times etc. Now being good citizens of Bristol, we booked a taxi to take us to the Quadrant. On 6th December I thought I would arrange for a return taxi, so called the Quadrant to ask for the finish time of the event. The young lad who answered the phone sounded very unsure and went away to check the details. He said there was no Wine Tasting that evening in the diary. He couldn't explain why. He did say something about an event on 7th, but the information I was given and my emails making and confirming the booking clearly state it was on 6th. The owner called me back some 30 minutes later to apologise. It seems it was the hapless manager's fault yet again!! Not only did the manager have the temerity to be ill, but it seems he didn't have my contact details in the diary!! When I complained about the catalogue of failures from the start including the website still showing the 2017 dates, he also tried to explain away their failure to update the website by saying it was 'down'. My advice - avoid this place like the plague

Nice pub. Sociable place.... I'd say it's half pub half bar.

Lives off it's reputation, was a bit dirty and shabby looking. Toilets needed a good clean and fixtures in need of repair. Nice location, drinks expensive.

Never been so over charged for a pint of lager and a medium glass of wine... not a lot of change from £15.... will never set foot in this establishment again.... lovely surroundings hence the two rating....

We attended a private wine tasting hosted by Tom last night and it was great. The wine quality was excellent and Tom opened our eyes to some wines that we wouldn’t normally consider drinking and taught us at lot. We had a lot of fun and it was excellent value. A lovely thing to do for any occasion with family or friends.

Seriously? They even take reservations for bar stools so the place is half empty but there's no where to sit. Manager obviously hasn't run a revenue based business before...

I came here with a few friends for dinner and drinks. Nice atmosphere and we loved the wine we ordered, but were very disappointed with the food. Tiny portions, not really enough to share, and just generally quite poor quality, to the extent that we were reluctant to eat it. It also took a long time to arrive after ordering. Shame, as this place could be good.

An odd little bar, pleasant but nothing special. Not many seats but check downstairs for space. Worth popping in for a cheap glass of prosecco.

This place has a good atmosphere and can get quite busy. Good people watching upstairs, quieter downstairs. Not huge so worth booking a table if you have a group.

Completely average. Nice 'pizette' mini pizza, but the calamari absolutely the worst we've ever had. Bizarre texture and like it had just come out of Iceland. Service slightly odd too-on the most quiet of nights we were brusquely told no table service (although not when we arrived). Would be great in a quiet part of town but there are too many great places within spitting distance to bother coming back.

I really want to love this place!

Every time I'm back to Bristol I have a Gin&Tonic; at the Quadrant. Staff is very nice and pro, people usually nice (unless they get drunk and noisy, but it happens very rarely), and the fascinating aspect of the Quadrant is the fact that it can be super doper busy without being noisy like many others places.

Cosy wine bar in the centre of Clifton Village with a good atmosphere, always seems to be busy.

Even though this bar is small. It has a large selection of spirits, beers and ciders. The atmosphere is lively, staff friendly and bathrooms very clean. Prices are mid-range (all the bars in this area had similar prices)

Really gone down hill. It used to be a nice, intimate wine bar but now it's a shadow of its former self.
