Freezing cold wet day and tried to go into the cafe on the seafront but our little pug wasn’t allowed but got a warm welcome here just behind. Had coffee and a jacket potato and prawns each - all good quality and more reasonable cost than other place

Passing by so decided to grab a quick toasted panini. After an inexplicably long wait for it's appearance, it was an unappealing and tasteless offering. Maybe the staff were just too busy, but there didn't seem to be that many customers after the lunch rush.

Have been staying at Marina Court this week, (firefighters charity in Littlehampton). Had a lovely but very breezy walk with my dad on the sea front. Almost went to a different cafe on the sea front but had visited earlier in the week and it was very expensive and didn’t feel comfortable with the wheelchair. We continued on to the Putting Green cafe, and was very happy we did. Got the wheelchair in fine, ordered coffees for ourselves and milkshakes for the kids ( which got a big thumbs up 👍 from them!) The lady that runs it was very friendly and helpful. We had friends coming to visit us that afternoon so we decided it would be a good place to meet. They loved tables for us so we could sit together, we waited a while before ordering our drinks and tea cakes but a party of 11 had just ordered lunch. We were happy to wait and they did explain us to us on arriving. Very reasonably priced - £18 for 5 teas, coffee, got chocolate and 2 milkshakes! ☕️ 🥤 Would highly recommend. The food and breakfasts looked lovely too.

My wife and I took a day trip to Littlehampton, and area unfamiliar to us. We walked from the towns rail station to the sea front, by which time we were hungry and desperate for a light lunch. We happened upon this delightful cafe. Being vegetarian and vegan respectively we were restricted in what we could select from the menu. The two lady staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. My wife opted for poached eggs on toast whilst I ordered beans on toast. These arrived at our table within a few minutes piping hot and generously portioned, the eggs cooked just as my wife had requested. A simple meal made special by the very friendly and efficient service. In time it is to be hoped that the menu will include further vegetarian and vegan options as more and more of us show concern for the sufferings of animals farmed for meat and dairy products.

Looking at other reviews it looks like this place us under new ownership which makes sense. Such a shame as I raved about the breakfasts in this place and was made to look really silly. Took ages and was cold. Toast was just hard bread not toasted at all. Has been at work in the morning so was so hungry I just could not be bothered to complain but it's such a shame as the previous owners were so friendly, the food and service great too. I won't return, I will go back to East Beach where the service isn't always good but the food is.

What a difference a change of management has made to this little cafe in Littlehampton. What was a tired cafe serving ice-cream and sandwiches has been transformed. It has a different look and ethos, whilst retaining the substance of what people want after pitch and putt or riding the train along the seafront, i.e. Ice-cream and sandwiches, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where it doesn't matter if you hog your table for an hour nursing a single cup of tea. You get the same excellent service regardless of what you order. This end of Littlehampton has been crying out for something like this. I disagree with the negative review left about service - on what I understand was the official launch day of the cafe. But it is easy to leave a comment on how long it took for a sandwich to be delivered or to complain that someone swept under your table whilst you were eating (presumably that was for good reason, and there would have been an equally negative comment if they hadn't done so). Personally, I will be going back to the Putting Green cafe when I am next in Littlehampton, and if I have to wait for my panini then I will gladly spend the time enjoying the atmosphere of the cafe, the good service, and looking at the sea.

What a joke! Apparently opened just 6 weeks ago; staff not trained, owner sitting outside when customers waiting a long time for food and I'm talking sandwiches, not a cooked meal. When we queried length of time food was taking, female assistant came over and started arguing about how long we had waited - very unprofessional. Another staff member then started to sweep under our table...we were still eating. Gave up and left our lunch. Owner then offered us a cake or ice cream to takeaway! Can I suggest you focus on training your employees before the summer overtakes you and you only last one season.

We came back for a second days visit to the crazy golf course and it is good fun and well laid out .... the golf kiosk building includes the CafeA nice Cream Tea with soft esh scones and loads of jam ... the cream was whipped ,rather than clotted, but still tasty!I had a Dandelion and Burdock bottle and they were happy to provide a glass full of ice as wellWe sat inside, although there were tables and chairs outside, as it was so hot in the sun ... their plastic chairs are very comfortable for sure!!There is a toilet for guests if you need it .... but the public facilities are only yards away anywayYour family will enjoy coming here together with their day on the beach .... the prices are also far more reasonable than those along the beach promenade at East Cafe .... and this is only across the road from there

It doesn't stop me going there as so very friendly but the coffee is far from good. I note another reviewer remarks about the 'good coffee' but it really is the only thing that lets the cafe down. We were out walking on a sunny afternoon during the summer and stumbled across this cafe, it's set just a short stroll from the seafront and near the childrens railway. Since then we have visited on several occasions for breakfasts, lunches, a film night or simply a coffee. We have always experienced a warm friendly welcome from the staff. I'd driven past the Putting Green Cafe several times but, as I'm not particularly into putting, I'd never given a thought to spoending any time there. A friend of mine, though, suggested we go to one of their film weekly nights to see 'The Life Aquatic', which I'd never seen, so off we went. At first glance, I decided that it looked and felt like a typical English seaside cafe - until I looked at the gorgeous artwork on the walls, scrutinised the menu and checked out the other guests, when I realised that a lot of thought and feeling had been put into creating a rather special place and that it attracted like-minded spirits. You know those menus when you want to eat every single item on it? And those restaurants where you want to get to know everyone who's dining there? That's the thing. The owners, Clara and Nick, had invested time, money and passion into creating a really chilled environment and atmosphere. I won't go into details aboiut what I ate, as I'm slightly ashamed that I ate quite so much. I won;t mention the fact that, having devoured a delicious steak and salad, I was tempted into ordering and a mouth-wateringly delicious pudding of the death-by-chocolate variety. My friend and I had a fabulous evening. The film was wonderful. The food just right for the occasion and I left having made new friends. What more can one ask for?

One to support in the local community, it's a bit of a hidden gem but now it's open in the wintertime too lots more people can drop in for a bit of refreshment and a catch up in a relaxed setting. I visited putting green café during the half term week with my two young children. The café was not overly busy at the time however the staff seemed slightly stressed out and rude, Showing a hostile attitude which made me quite uncomfortable whilst ordering. The food came out bland and cold with a microwaved taste to it. When I mentioned this there was no apology just a response of 'we can warm it up for you'. After this I visited the café in the park so my children could feed the ducks in the lake whilst feeding themselves too! I would not wait the length I did for the food I was presented with again. A friend and I just happened upon this modest eatery on a hot day. We were warmly welcomed, as was Max my small dog who happily sat under the table with a large bowl of water. The menu though not huge was sensible and a dish of Seabass with courgettes and potato, was delicious and as good as any I have ever had anywhere. The cost was unbelievably reasonable and I felt that if I lived nearby I would give up cooking and eat at this establishment!Puds were café standard but the coffee was good. The owner was most concerned that diners were satisfied - well he need not have been and if I am in the area in future I will make a detour in order to eat here again.I must mention that though unpretentious the place was cheery and bright with decent art work on the walls and altogether pleasant. We were in littlehampton with grandson and family from rustington and wanted a late lunch the east beach cafe was crowded and the staff looked a little harassed and to be fair the menu was overpriced for what it was.We found the Putting green cafe because the grandson wanted to go on the beach train. The menu looked good and reasonable, entering we were greeted by staff who were friendly and very helpful, and we ordered two paninis chips, I was hungry and ordered the mussels and frites. Grandon and wife came in and had tea and macaroons. The tea was incredibly god not a mug but a ood size china teapot, not the normal stainless steel version, paninis arrived with chips in a separate little pot, the bacon brie with side salad and the goats cheese pepper my family said was mint. My musselsvarrived a few minutes later as they were cooking, thet were served in a large pot with finger bowl and really scrummy bread. They were outstanding, the cream wine and garkic sauce was spot on and the mussels were fresh that day. At £7-95 a bargain, the paninis were around four pound and my grandson enyed the frenh macroons too.I totally recommend the cafe to anyone and will definately be returning.
