Punto in Windsor and Maidenhead

Over 20 of us visited to celebrate my 50th birthday and we had the best night! Food was amazing, service was excellent and the atmosphere was 10 out of 10. After our food, the music was turned up and we had the best night dancing away and had such fun with the waiters. Thank you to Puntos for making it such a special night. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed! A little gem that you must visit.

Found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and as it had good reviews decided to book a table. We ate early evening and the place was always busy - a very good indicator in my opinion. We had two 12 year olds and the staff made them feel very welcomed, lots of jokes and laughter. The food was absolutely excellent we all ate something different but none of the meals disappointed. Portions were of a good size and all hot. Service was personal and unhurried in a good way. The limoncello was well received and the girls got their own shots of fruit juice.

Lovely family restaurant and fab food and service. They undercharged on wine, we told them and they kept bill the same and gave us complimentary lemon celo for our honesty. Will be back, steak was Brill as was spag bol. Highly recommend

Staying in the area we were looking for somewhere different for dinner. We were very early but made very welcome by happy, friendly staff. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The menu is very Italian, very nice and very reasonable. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. We enjoyed our visit and would return regularly if we lived closer. Absolutely fantastic service, food served quickly and it was all amazing quality and tasted delicious too. Would recommend to everyone. Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Staff were also great with kids and they served half portions or smaller pizzas to the kids

Rushed service, we were asked if we wanted dessert then the bill was produced when we said no! Do these people not understand how rude that is! Almost telling us to leave

I was staying round the corner at the Innkeeper and always like to try the local pizza's in the different areas I stay for work. A lovely little restaurant decorated as if I was actually in Italy with music playing in the background. I ordered the Bruschetta for starters which was lovely and then the Pizza Regina (Ham and Mushrooms) with a side of chilli oil and chilli's to sprinkle on the pizza, it was amazing very authentic italian pizza which made me pleased. Had an espresso then was given a free limoncello shot after. The service, hospitality, food and decoration was amazing, would recommend to all 10/10

My first time eating in Punto and it won't be the last. Celebrated a birthday with friends and had a really lovely evening. The food and the atmosphere were just right.

What an awesome little find. Everything was amazing - the food, the staff, the atmosphere. They made such a fuss of my little boy (it was his 5th Birthday), he brought some cars to play with at the table and the waiters joined in 😁

Incredible Pizza and Pasta meal served with humour and friendliness. We had our meal in the veranda part, outside the restaurant which was lovely and hung with lots of trailing flowers. Its clearly a popular local choice. "Happy Birthday" was sung twice! Very high quality and tasty pizza and Pasta at a more than fair price. Would recommend! The staff are friendly and made the experiences very enjoyable for our young children. And more relaxed for us. Thank you!!

Amazing food, great service. This is as close to being in Italy as you can get without going there. Absolutely recommend. Beware - parking is limited. The journey is well worth it! Will be returning soon!

Food was brilliant and the service great. However it was pretty noisy on the evening we went. This might have been just unfortunate or possibly the accoustics in the restaurant making other people's conversation loud

Great little Italian restaurant, friendly staff, good service, and lovely food. My two friends both had Minestrone Soup to start. I chose Lasagna and a portion of Cheesy Garlic Bread. There was enough garlic bread to feed the three of us. Two of us had a large glass of red wine and the other had a beer. Bill was £90 for the three of us which included service and a Latte coffee.

Excellent food and service. A really good evening, where we were made very welcome. They certainly go the extra mile.

Three of us had a very enjoyable meal. Starters, main courses and desserts with drinks was very reasonably priced. The staff are cheerful and efficient, adding a birthday candle to my wife's profiteroles and singing "Happy Birthday " was a nice touch.

Below average food, poor value. We booked a meal for two and was placed in the outer corner in the front extension next to the front entrance when the rest of the restaurant was almost empty. My meal of calf's liver was very mediocre. Served with limp salad and a few potatoes and vegetables. My coleague's pasta dish was over salty and quite unapetising. The cost was the same and a similar restaurant 15 minutes drive away. No comparrison on quality

Lovely little place recommend by our hosts from The Clockhouse. We had the tuna and the sea bass, both dishes were fresh and delicious. The desserts were also a big hit, my husband said the cheesecake was the best he had eaten. The only downside of our evening was the 3 ‘ladies’ I use the term very loosely who decided to eat, drink cocktails and then fabricate a foreign object in their food. They made off without payment. Heartbreaking to watch it happen especially to a small restaurant and there was nothing we could do to help. I hope karma bites their bony backsides

This place is fantastic! Amazing food and first class customer service. We were so well looked after from the moment we walked through the door. Lovely staff with a good sense of humour. Thanks Puntos we will be back soon 🤗

We had a wonderful meal together. Spoilt for choice, but each dish we chose was well cooked and delicious.

Came here due to the really good reviews and had the standard pizzas and pastas. Given the basics of it I was surprised to find undercooked veg on the pizzas & no one in our group thought the food wow. I asked for some additional plates during service & the team couldn’t oblige - surprising given they weren’t busy. On a plus note, service was quick & the owner is great entertainment.

Don’t wait for a milestone birthday, the team are so welcoming whether you be a party of 2 or 20. Fabulous food, very child friendly. Excellent table service with exceptionally personable staff. Delicious, definitely order the garlic bread

Visited after a trip to legoland. Very impressed lovely service and delicious food. Especially liked the fact that children could choose any pasta as a half portion. Did not have room for deserts but sounded amazing!

Ordered a family delivery just after new year,5 meals,one which was wrong,phoned the restaurant and within 10 minutes the correct order was delivered piping hot ,superb service from a great local business.

My boyfriend and I visited several times last summer.It was great to sit semi outside and enjoy the weather as well as the lovely, fresh and tasty pasta dishes.Requesting extra fresh, crushed garlic in oil was no sooner asked than done!The staff are very helpful and accommodating.We'll certainly be back soon.

Very happy the staff the food where lovely, I would however would have liked my main course to have had some vegetables with it, I had the sliced steak on rocket with Parmesan shavings, it was very nice. I will be returning.

He estado caminando / conduciendo por Punto durante tres años, ¡así que pensamos que era hora de probarlo! El sábado por la noche y reservamos una mesa solo 2 horas antes. Estaba casi lleno a las 8 pm y estaba lleno de ruido, un poco ruidoso para mí, pero ciertamente un buen ambiente con todos divirtiéndose. Mi plato de calamares estaba bien. La señora y el niño tenían langostinos en una salsa extraña. Mi hígado principal de ternera a la parrilla estaba perfectamente rosado según lo ordenado y venía con tocino fabuloso. Las verduras estaban exageradas. La estrella de la noche fueron las pizzas (a la Casa) que comió la señora y el niño, eran excelentes. Vale la pena volver por su cuenta. Servicio ligeramente impredecible pero estaban ocupados. Enero seco, solo refrescos, Bill 80 por tres. Sin duda volveremos.

Punto Italian Restaurant en Old Windsor tiene una excelente comida y ambiente de fiesta los fines de semana. Estuvimos recientemente allí por un día después de la boda de mi sobrina con toda la familia restante y también hubo una fiesta de compromiso y una fiesta de cumpleaños que llenó el lugar. Todos tuvimos excelentes bebidas, comida y servicio, y luego el baile comenzó con las 3 fiestas. una muy buena noche afuera.

I am re-reviewing the restaurant having removed my prior entry as a few of my party felt I was a bit harsh.Having eaten at Punto several times over the last few years both for family and business groups I have never had any real issues with anything but on my last visit the customer service was absolutely appalling. Despite the email confirmation for our booking reading "music, singing and dancing" it was way too loud to the point it meant the people both beside and opposite me were shouting at each other which ruined our night out. When I asked a waiter if the singer could turn the volume down a bit the message was relayed to either the manager or Maitre'd who came over and basically told me off like a naughty school child in a cold, short and rude dismissive manner. As I have mentioned, I have been there on Friday night at least half a dozen times before and on one occasion asked for the music to be reduced a bit which was accommodated without issue so I did not expect such a brutal uncaring reply. A shame that whoever the manager was that night has "let the side down" with his less than stellar customer service approach.

Had a family meal this week for my 60th Birthday, made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door as always, food from special board was unbelievable. The guys gathered round and sang happy birthday. Really great night, will be back soon.

I was away for work and had been recommended Punto Italian by the owners of my b&b.; The service was really good, I had tomato and cheese garlic bread to start and then spaghetti meatballs which were yummy. I’d definitely go back again.

A friendly noisy family restaurant where the staff are welcoming and efficient .The food is very good, not fine dining but well cooked and large helpings. Wine is fine and reasonably priced, we go there quite often and are never disappointed.

Wat een verrassing om hier terecht te komen! De uitstraling is er niet, eenmaal binnen wordt je uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen en blijkt het goed vol te zitten. Een gezellige Engelse ambiance met een Spaans muziekje op de achtergrond in een Italiaans restaurant. Dan het eten: in een woord verrassend goed. Zelden zo een lekkere en goed gevulde spaghetti met zeevruchten gehad, werkelijk top! Mochten we nog in de buurt komen dan gaan wij zeker terug.

not being local ,of course u use google to find a restaurant. we were very impressed with this friendly place food was excellent and a typical Italian ambiance. nothing to much trouble food was great, reasonably priced if we are ever in old Windsor we will defiantly return thank you

We came here on the spur for a late lunch. I had the fettuccine Alfredo, it was amazing lovely half lobster prawns mussels and clams in a fab tomato based sauce. Staff and ambiance lovely.

Nos decidimos por un 20. 00 tIme ranura como 18. 00 era demasiado temprano. Sin embargo, pensamos que el personal ya había tenido suficiente para entonces, ya que nos sentimos apurados, no nos ofrecieron ninguna especialidad ni realmente nos sentimos bienvenidos con respecto a la comida después de eso. Como chef pensé que la comida tenía pocas cosas. Me refiero a quien sirve 1. 5 champiñones para un entrante y solo había 1 almeja con 6 conchas vacías. . . . por no decir que no nos impresionó hasta que comimos el postre, así que optamos por tomar un café en casa y la mayor parte de mi dinero en efectivo se quedó en mi billetera en lugar de dejar una propina. Ya hemos estado dos veces y el lugar me da una sensación de cansancio en lugar de vibración y una experiencia gastronómica que vale la pena. Dos de nosotros al menos no volveremos.

We were a party of five, looking for a fairly quick meal between two halves of a nearby social event. Having been once before, Punto was the obvious choice.

Excellent food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Punto and will definitely be going back to enjoy the great food!!

We were going to Windsor for my birthday. However, it was cold and pouring with rain, so we decided to go to our local Italian restaurant. We have been there many times and not been disappointed. It was a Wednesday and very quiet. However, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good and the food delicious. We also enjoyed a very good Pinot Grigio. The price was very reasonable.

My parents and I went to the restaurant Sunday late afternoon. The restaurant was very full, but the waiters were very accommodating in fining us a table as soon as something was available.

Unos cuantos amigos han comentado este lugar, así que decidí intentarlo porque me encanta un buen italiano. Ordené el zafferano linguine que era una buena porción y el marisco estaba bien, pero no era espectacular y faltaba algo. Las pizzas se veían bien, así que la próxima vez que esté en el área tal vez probaré las pizzas

Tenemos la suerte de tener este buen restaurante italiano en el corazón de nuestro pueblo. No hay autobuses ni taxis, a solo 5 minutos caminando. Nos decidimos por Puntos, ya que siempre se puede confiar en ellos para un buen momento.

Desde el exterior, este lugar no se ve mucho pero no te desanimes. El servicio es excelente al igual que la comida. Podría ser un poco caro, pero consideramos que vale la pena pagar ese pequeño extra. El menú es extenso y no tuvimos que esperar demasiado tiempo para la comida. Este lugar se llena de gente, así que necesitas reservar. Parece que hay dos sesiones, una que comienza antes y otra que comienza alrededor de las 8 pm, pero tienen mucho cuidado de decirle cuándo es necesario desalojar la mesa. Optamos por una sesión anterior a las 6 pm y se nos preguntó si podíamos desalojar la mesa para las 7. 30 hs. Esto no fue un problema y no nos sentimos presionados en absoluto. Aparentemente hay entretenimiento algunas tardes durante las últimas sesiones. Sin duda volveremos cuando en la zona.

When visiting friends recently, they took us to their local Italian restaurant, with a few reservations as on a previous occasion when in a large group they had been overcharged, an additional bottle of wine being added to their bill. However for convenience and the fact that the food is good, they took us there for a meal. The food was good, and the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. We didn't have wine with the meal, however, when the bill came, an item not ordered had been added to the bill. When this was pointed out, the remark was to the effect that the item was the same price as one we did have not included, however, though the difference was only small, it wasn't the same, and no effort was made to correct the bill. Left a bit of a sour taste, so while happy to recommend place for a night out, strongly recommend you check your bill, errors however small add up!

Recommended to us by our guest house owner (Mike) and we were not disappointed, fantastic authentic Italian food and plenty of it. If you are visiting the area then make sure you pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Decided to give Punto in Old Windsor a try for our wedding anniversary, as it's local and always looks busy and inviting.

Third visit here, as and when I stay at the Innkeepers lodge, which is literally backing onto this place! I’ve never been a fan of carvery, and to have this place on hand is brilliant!! Staff are great and the food is top quality! Really nice experience!

Where to begin... food was fresh and so so tasty. Wine selection was spot on. Staff were lovely and attentive without being over bearing. Kids loved it there. We are so glad we are there Instead of big food/pub chain. Wish it was near our house! Thank you lovely restaurant for 10 out of 10 for everything.

What can I say about this restaurant. Food is amazing. It is my favourite Italian restaurant. Food is well seasoned and great portion sizes. I can not recommend this place enough.

We booked late as we had travelled up from France. We were met by friendly staff and a spotlessly clean restaurant . As we waited for our starters we were given complimentary bread, olives and oil. Our starters were all delicious and the perfect size. Our eldest son had napolatana pasta and said it was one of the best he had had. Our other mains were pizza, loads of topping and a perfect base, carbonara with lots of ham with no fat on it and a steak that was one of the best my husband had ever had. Deserts followed together with some coffees. Great food, great service, friendly staff would highly recommended. If your in the area make the effort to visit, you won't be disappointed.
