Lovely pub not even a 2 minute wait for a drink

Great local pub .. stopped for a few beers and nice kebab shop opposite . Allthough the pub does great food apparently !!

The Punchbowl is a nice community pub on James reckitt Avenue. It's a traditional two roomed pub with dart board and pool table in the bar, also stage for Live entertainment. Nice staff lovely friendly landlady. It has the usual range of beers and lagers John Smith's bitter. Sadly there is no real Ale or hand pumps. There is outside seating to the front next to the main road.

Beautiful bar, happy staff that engaged in conversation. Very clean and well presented. Drinks a good price. Food menu a little steep for me. Beautiful building.

Came for dinner but they don't do food anymore. Very much a sports bar vibe but they don't even have the world cup on, pints where good not cheap though, was nice and quiet very chill.

Great pub. Not a regular but have been in on occasion since I was about 5. I'm 40 now and have lots of good memories.

They do strongbow dark fruits very refreshing after a 8 mile walk earlier in the day. Glad my local is open.

Nothing special, a typical locals pub, only stopped for a quick pint after returning from a 20 mile bike ride, was nice enough & the Coors was lovely & cold... 👍🏼

Having read other reviews thought would try and opposite the Hall Venue the menu was fine and good prices. Greeted by friendly staff and ordered cottage pie and small scampi was quick and served Hot with good side of veg also cooked well only 1small niggle could have had abit more meat and alittle less mash. Would recommend and will definitely use when next in the area.

We went for a couple of beers after work, the beer was good and atmosphere was good as it was derby day in the rugby, will be going in again sometime soon.

We pop in for a drink and there is always loads of men in the pub no matter what time we go in otherwise it's a nice pub could be better if they had more entertainment on weekly it might draw more couples as empress and moderation pub does in town on sat sun afternoons x

Spent much of my youth in this place - even worked as a bar ace there in my teens - now just a typical local pub - needs some sprucing up and a good clean - but OK - was nice to revisit - been in worse and will visit again very soon

Photos of the food I've eaten here so far with my family and friends. Absolutely fantastic quality food and a great friendly and welcoming service. I'll certainly be eating here on a regular basis. This place proves you don't have to drive to the avenues to find quality sources ingredients and home cooked food!
