Very friendly and helpful. She made me a " dirty chai drink" custom made at my request. Thank you so much Susan!

I visited the cafe this morning. I was desperate for a Pen and paper as my phone was playing up and I needed to write down some contacts. Viv and Dave helped me out and watched out for my train while I did it. Really friendly Thankyou .

I dont imagine for 1 minute a review here would make the slightest difference to this outlet which is so poor. Guy very pleasant but thats where it ends. The place is dismal - poor lighting most bulbs out poor seating an untidy shelf arrangement. little adverts stickers and notices all over the place. The whole place is a mini disaster. Now the coffee - well I am a coffee drinker and I hate paying inflated prices £3+ for a SMALL cup of brown dish water. I have no idea what I drank but it wasnt coffee. Dreadful. Fo outside the station and find a Nero or Costa. Easy

So disappointed by the customer service. Took my kids for a warm drink & got served by a very disoriented, unhappy lady who only spoke to announce my bill. Not a Hi, not a thanx, not a friendly smile.... miserable to the core

I asked for a large paper cup for my TWO 500ml drinks I had bought, a simple request I thought - "Not allowed to give large cups out, only this" (small cup received) but she was so rude with it, like I was a pest! So I had to keep filing up the small cup! Really? She needs to remember she is the face of Pumpkin Cafe, obviously not employed for helpfulness or personality. It's no wonder the shop was empty! As somebody else has mentioned, captive market - but this doesn't excuse the terrible attitude. If you don't like working there, then let somebody work there who does. Compare that to the Gregg's at Birmingham Station - perfect!!

This is a dismal run down little cafe, but the only place to get refreshments as you wait for the London train. I bought a disappointing so-called ‘breakfast butty’ - that wasn’t buttered! - and an insipid cup of tea. The apparently disinterested staff seem to hide at the back, maybe they are embarrassed by the quality of food and service. The sugar sachets are mixed in with an inch of loose sugar that is contaminated by customers hands when they take a sachet. This place could be so much better with a little care.

I purchased a coffee yesterday at around 3:55 pm. As i removed the top it accidentally spilt too the floor. I apologized too and even offered to clean it up. The cafe assistant was not impressed and proceeded to give me a dirty look and go to the back of the cafe, returning with a mob and bucket. She cleaned it up, again I apologized for the spillage. I was hoping for a fresh coffee as I had paid for it and not even had a taste. She completely ignored the fact it was a accident and I was left with no coffee and felt like a naughty school boy. not impressed the the costumer service at all. I Will think again before purchasing anything from the pumpkin cafe Wigan North Western.. Thirsty customer

This café is ok if you just want a quick drink and a magazine on the station platform. Unless on the platform you would not go here.

There’s nothing special about this cafe. It’s basic but cheerful. The bacon butty for £1.50 with any hot drink is pretty good value. Overall okay..ish

Friendly staff that try and help as much as they can. Some regulars don't even need to say a word and their order is waiting for them when they get to the counter. They do bacon and sausage barms which they do a deal with the hot drinks with if you fancy something to eat with your brew, they have fresh pastries in the morning and home made muffins, brownies and flapjacks as well. If you don't fancy any of that there is sandwiches from Ginsters. You can even get advice on when the trains are due etc. If you have a particular coffee preference, skinny, soya, they will cater to your needs if they can. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g190919-d7347129-r519813938-Pumpkin_Cafe_Shop-Wigan_Greater_Manchester_England.html#

Think you need to train your Wigan staff how to make a simple hot chocolate, thought it was weak for a "luxury" hot chocolate to find all the chocolate clumped up not mixed at the bottom £4 for this rubbish? Put the chocolate mix in the milk to heat up and mix properly not throw it in the bottom and pour milk on top!

Wanted quick drink before train to London. Hot chocolate - off the menu as machine broken. Had to settle for the most disgusting coffee I had ever tasted. Sugar was dispensed from an open cup from a shelf by the doorway. This is really poor and I suspect contravenes some food standards.

New Year’s Eve at the church inn pub in Lowton, near Leigh was a busy good night except for the management. Firstly, they scammed quite a few of us by advertising that Robbie Williams (tribute)would be there. I myself motivated 10 people to join me just for that experience. When we got there, everyone was deflated saying it’s just Robbie the DJ .😢 Then there were three of us customers that were wondering why the DJ had just ignored playing our karaoke songs. Then after buying quite a large round of drinks (including doubles) ……we noticed when we got back from the dancefloor, that they had all been removed by the bar staff! I asked them nicely to replace the drinks that they took away from us. So they replaced the white wine, but not my red wine. So because I told the truth, the Irish manager kicked me out shouting at me. He said there was no more red wine left in the bar for me so he’s not replacing my drink! So my friend bought me another to compensate for them stealing our drinks. Then as I was talking about this with another customer, the female bar staff came around the bar and stood right in my face. She told me.”You better leave now or I will call the police”. I had to laugh, but nice and quietly I reiterated my concerns. She then raised her voice saying “I’m throwing you out now” I’ve never been thrown out of a pub in my whole life as I am a professional and upstanding member of my community. As I walked away, she was shouting something behind me. So I just had to turn round and quietly say “ don’t worry about asking me if I’ve had a good New Year’s Eve, I’ll put it in the review”. I just wondered if this new management have treated anyone else or your friends so disrespectfully? Very disappointing and don’t recommend if other customers are treated rudely from the staff
