First time using Pudsey Road and it was SUPERB! Piping hot food delivered by a friendly driver and I have to say my jaw dropped when I opened the box and saw the portion size - very generous! Chips were cooked well, fish white and soft plus the curry sauce was also excellent. Will 110% be using this place again - thanks to all concerned!

I don’t understand how a chip shop so far away from the coast, can have better fish and chips than a high end seaside resort. And for someone who travels a lot, I can confirm that this were literally the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!! And the curry sauce? Second to NONE!!!

Help , Terrible fish batter made me feel sick , the batter inside was 1/4 inch thick of gooey mush , would have taken them back if I had time

Freshly made fish and chips which were absolutely delicious! Great price too, I highly recommend. Fish wasn't dry yet the batter was crispy. Chips were amazing too. And the breadcake was fresh. We ate the lot. Even the scraps were great.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Called on spec, used to be a regular here when we lived in the area, but won’t be visiting again. Large fish covered in thick soggy batter, chips mostly scrappy, 3 fish and one portion of chips for £18.40 for me, my wife and little dog. The dog’s having a party, had her fish, most of mine and some of my wife’s. Usually get ours from a fish and chip shop in Pudsey, where we live now, which are always 10 out of 10, struggling to give this a 1, avoid try somewhere else.

I had a quality portion of fish, chips & curry sauce with scraps (never get these from the chippies near where I live! ) All cooked from fresh. I have to mention the absolutely stunning battered haddock (nice and crispy and no sogginess). The owner is lovely and has a great manner with his customers.

Great chippy, great staff and a great owner. All of which are reflected in the quality of food. The batter travels well. At most other places it's usually soggy by the time we get home, but no problems here. Lovely and crisp. Price wise they're very competitive. Don't think because it's cheaper, it's substandard compared to others. Quality throughout. The owner is a great guy. I wanted to leave a tip but he refused so I told him I'd leave a positive review instead. Keep up the hard work guys. You're doing a great job. All the best. Ben.

Called in for lunch, great traditional fish and chips shop. They are open and observing the 2m distance rules in the shop so one person in at a time, Take a umbrella and be careful with the road outside.

I called in here last Thursday as I was passing. I ordered a fish bites meal. Great value plenty of fish, £4ish (including mushy peas). I enjoyed it so much I visited again on Saturday!

Great little place found while staying along the road. Great menu, and plenty we don't see in the south like scraps. It was great value too. Food was freshly cooked, chips were great and service good. Surprised it closes at 7pm through, seems very early to me.

I went to Pudsey Road Fish shop this lunchtime and I found the food to be... 1. too fresh 2. Too hot 3. Too many chips 4. Not greasy enough... Oh and not forgetting the warm friendly welcome.

Fantastic chipshop. They use Haddock as their main fish and it was cooked to order which only took a few minutes. Highly recommended this chipshop.

Visited here at tea time 5pm, ordered food & was made aware of deals, cashier very friendly & chatty! Paid £8 for 2 Med fish & chips, curry sauce and a can of pop! Bargain will be returning!

Very good food and very reasonable, the Lunchtime special served with Peas or Gravy is 5*. Cooked freshly upon arrival instead or lingering around in the server. You can eat in or out and daily papers provided also as a nice little gesture. One observation is that what appears to be the owner (Male) is a often little stern with the staff which makes me a little uncomfortable and probably also for the staff.

Good Fish and Chips although they tend to be greasy , but they cook them when you enter the shop which is a bonus.

A group of us visited the store for dinner, when we went in we was asked how many fish we wanted before we had chance to answer the man frying said sharply how many fish before I cook them, the ladies were working hard to bag up a delivery order so were very busy, I stood waiting to be served for a bottle of vinegar but was ignored when I finally asked for one the woman told me to wait and she would serve me in a minute, needless to say I didnt get any vinegar. Its such a shame about the service as the food is really lovely and a great value for money

Stumbled upon this one when my favourite one wasn't open. Staff are very friendly, fish is cooked to order as you walk in. My Mam loves the oap portion, just enough for her. Fish is absolutely delicious.

Right guys I'll be straight as I can , the fish is the best I've tasted in a long time , freshly cooked and the haddock I could only explain as the the flakiest whitest haddock, Coated In a tasty crispy batter -Twice fried chips are what make pudsey road fisheries a little unique from everybody else ,as it always ensures you get fresh hot chips, with your freshly cooked haddock .If I'm perfectly honest as I always am , they just seem to keep on getting batter and batter !!!Sorry for the punt

I'm a regular here, the fish is cooked to order and I would recommend as one of the best in Leeds, one if the reviews mentioned a 'jockey' fish well stop moaning you got extra !

Delicious fish n chips , fish fried fresh whilst you wait and chips are fried from being blanched , not warmed up as another commentor suggests . This way your food isn't sat about in a hot cabbinet drying out . Or you might think that waiting a good half hour for chips to cook completely from raw is a preferable option . Clean inside , friendly Manager and Staff .

I have been using this chip shop for nearly 2 years now and i can not recommend it highly enough, several of my workmates now use it and love it too.I feel you`ll be hard pushed to find better.

I live near this fish shop and been a few times and my wife an I were pleased with them until they started to give worm up chips and some times they join two fish tails together to make a fish and they are full of fat as they don't let the fish drain so we have stopped going and don't recommed it.
